    Legal frontiers in the war against money laundering: A doctrinal examination of global approaches

    Introduction to the Problem: Black money has a detrimental impact on a nation's macroeconomic and microeconomic, financial system, and international markets. The first idea to surface in the international literature when looking at the historical evolution of black money is money laundering. Criminal organizations employ various tactics to launder illicit funds, aiming to prevent the confiscation of the proceeds of their criminal activities. Purpose/Objective of Study: This research delves into international perspectives on countering money laundering, a growing concern that poses threats to the security and stability of nations worldwide, and causes economic uncertainty. The study also investigates the progress and regulations surrounding this matter, along with the efforts of international organizations. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research used doctrinal legal research with employing statutory and conceptual approaches. Findings: This legal research underscores the importance of countries revisiting their domestic legal frameworks in light of the current scenario. The research stresses the importance of global cooperation between countries in effectively addressing money laundering.     Introduction to the Problem: This paper explores the teseng agreements and the Implementation of Justice Values in profit-sharing agreements based on local wisdom of Bugis Makassar Community. The teseng principle is operationalized through the utilization of a streamlined system that adheres to the model established within the Bugis-Makassar community. The community will collaborate with one party as the Pa'bere teseng and the other as the Pa'teseng in this partnership. The legal issue in the research is the implementation of justice values in the teseng agreement. Purpose/Study Objectives: The purpose of this research is to analyse the practice of teseng agreements in Bugis-Makassar community and the implementation of justice values in teseng agreements. This research will provide the parties with a better understanding of the significance of the justice values in the teseng agreement. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study constitutes normative and empirical legal research. The data used in this research is primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with Pa’bere Teseng (landowners or livestock) and Pa’teseng (cultivator or ranchers). Secondary data is used as a complement, namely data collection techniques through literature studies. Findings: Teseng is a mutual agreement that binds two parties - the investor and the cultivator. In the teseng system, the Pa’bere Teseng (landowners or livestock) gives land or livestock animal to Pa’teseng (cultivator or ranchers) and receives a share of the proceeds from his efforts. The teseng agreements is based on trust and agreement between the Pa’bere Teseng and the Pa’teseng. The teseng system reflects the values of justice by eliminating the terms employer and laborer. The Pa’bere Teseng and the Pa’teseng have the same position under the law. This teseng system creates proportional justice, allocating a share to individuals based on their services or contributions.     Experimentation of Learning Cycle 7E Assisted by Labyrinth Board Game and Putar Bawah Game on Mathematical Reasoning Ability in View of Students' Self-Regulated Learning

    This research aims to find out: 1) The learning model that produces better mathematical reasoning ability of students, between the Learning Cycle 7E assisted by labyrinth board game and putar bawah game or direct instruction; 2) The level of students' Self-Regulated Learning that produces bettermathematical reasoning skills, between high, moderate, or low levels of Self-Regulated Learning, ; 3) The interaction learning models and students' Self-Regulated Learning. This research is a quasi experimental research with the subject were VIII grade students of JHS 5 Surakarta in the academicyear 2022/2023 school year. The samples use two classes taken by cluster random sampling. Data collection technique were used documentation, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used a two-way variance analysis 2×3 unequal cells. The results of the analysis showed that: 1) Learning Cycle 7E learning model assisted by labyrinth board game and putar bawah game resulted is better mathematical reasoning ability than direct instruction; 2) Students with high self-regulated learning had better mathematical reasoning ability than low self-regulated learning; 3) There is no interaction between the learning model and students self-regulated learning

    The Effect of RME-Learning Trajectory on Mathematical Reasoning Ability and Self-Efficacy in Learning Statistics Using Congklak Games

    This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of learning trajectory with the traditional congklak game context on mathematical reasoning ability in terms of self-efficacy. This study adopts a quasi-experimental approach using a 2 × 3 factorial design. The target population included all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Wonogiri. The research employed cluster random sampling, selecting learners from two classes. The data collection techniques used were documentation, self-efficacy questionnaire, and mathematical reasoning abilities test. This study employed a data analysis approach that involved a two-way analysis of variance. The results of the hypothesis testing concluded that (1) learners who were taught using an RME-based learning trajectory with the traditional congklak game context showed better mathematical reasoning abilities compared to those taught through direct learning in statistics; (2) learners with high self-efficacy have better mathematical reasoning abilities than those with moderate or low self-efficacy, while learners with moderate self-efficacy showed better mathematical reasoning abilities than those with low self-efficacy; (3) there was no significant interaction observed between the treatment and self-efficacy regarding learners' mathematical reasoning abilities

    Desa Renda terletak di Kecamatan Belo, Kabupaten Bima, dan Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat yang mayoritas penduduk beragama Islam. Pembangunan masjid, mushola, dan langgar banyak dilakukan seiring jumlah masyarakat beragama Islam membutuhkan akses terhadap tempat ibadah. Salah satu dari pengelola tempat ibadah menyampaikan proses pengelolaan kurang efektif seperti manajemen keuangan dan penyampaian informasi keuangan kepada masyarakat secara periodik. Penelitian ini akan menerapkan metode design thinking untuk menghasilkan prototipe pengelolaan data tempat ibadah yang beroritentasi terhadap pengguna. Langkah penelitian meliputi proses empati, pendefinisian kebutuhan, penetapan ide inovasi, pembuatan prototipe, dan pengujian kelayakan. Hasil penelitian ini berupa prototipe pengelolaan data tempat ibadah yang memiliki impresi usabilitas secara positif.     Immunomodulator Effect of Cnidoscolus aconitifolius Leaves Extract on CD4+ and CD8+ Expression in Salmonella typhimurium infected mice

    Typhoid fever is a common health problem in the community caused by Salmonella bacteria. The incidence rate of this infection will increase if a person's immune system is weakened. Plant extracts are generally considered to be potential immunomodulatory agents developed, which have smaller side effects. Research shows that Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaves have medicinal properties including as hepatoprotective, antidiabetic, and anticardiovascular. The results of the antioxidant activity test show the results that Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaves extract (CAE) has potential as an antioxidant with a very strong category. This study was conducted to determine the effect of giving Japanese papaya leaf extract on CD4+ and CD8+ expression in Babl/c mice induced by Salmonella typhimurium bacteria. The study was started by preparing 70% ethanol extract from Cnidoscolus aconitifolius leaves and preparing 30 Babl/C mice as experimental animals which were divided into 6 groups (healthy control, negative control, positive control and treatment group by giving CAE dose of 100 mg/kgbw, 200 mg/kgbw and 400 mg/kgbw). Induction was carried out by oral infection with Salmonella thypimurium bacteria. After 3 days the infected mice were treated orally once a day for 7 days. Evaluation of CD4+ and CD8+ expression was carried out using the flowcytometer method of the lymph organs. Data analysis was carried out by the Anova test followed by the post hoc test (Tukey) using the SPSS for Windows application. The results showed that giving CAE at doses of 100 mg/kgbw, 200 mg/kgbw and 400 mg/kgbw could increase the expression ratio of CD4+ and CD8+, whereas giving CAE at a dose of 400 mg/kgbw showed significantly different results (p<0.05) to the negative control. This shows that the CAE has potential as an immunomodulatory agent that can improve immune function

    Interprofessional education applied in first-year and third-year health students: cross-sectional study

    Health professions work together to provide the best service in health care facilities by collaborating with patients, families, worker and the community. Interprofessional education (IPE) were practice of collaboration between two or more students from different health profession programs. The purpose of study was to compare IPE results from first and third year batches. The two batches included 345 first-year students and 460 third-year students, from three different health disciplines, including medicine, pharmacy, and public health. These students met for four weeks to increase interprofessional collaboration, improve communication skills, foster respect and increase knowledge of the various roles each discipline, especially case management, conflict management and team work. Before IPE program, the students were given pre-questionnaire to assess their prior understanding of IPE. Each group of first-year students presented the outcomes of their discussions in the fourth week, while the third-year students created a poster about the subject and presented it in the second week. The students complete the program and post-questionnaire after their presentation. The International Collaborative Competencies Attainment Survey served the development the IPE questionnaire (ICCAS). The result of pre-IPE domains’ score revealed substantial disparities in the team work domain, with third-year students score was lower than the first students, whereas first-year students had the highest score in the most of IPE categories, unless collaboration and conflict management (p>0.05). The post-IPE domains’ score showed significant differences in all of the domains. Most of the IPE domains had higher score in first year students, excluding communication and team work

    Cytotoxicity of Zingiber officinale var. rubrum on HeLa cells and prediction of anti-proliferative activity via the jak2/stat3 and hedgehog pathways using a molecular docking approach

    Cervical cancer is one of the second-leading causes of death in women. The discovery of cancer drug candidates continues to be carried out due to the resistance that occurs in cervical cancer therapy. Plant metabolite compounds are one of the sources used to explore new drug candidates. Red ginger rhizome is a candidate plant that has anti-cervical cancer activity. This study aims to determine the cytotoxicity of an ethanol extract of red ginger rhizomes on the growth of HeLa cancer cells and predict anti-proliferative activity via the jak2/stat3 and hedgehog pathways. The sample (red ginger rhizome simplicia) was extracted by remaceration using 75% ethanol. The MTT assay method is used to test the cytotoxicity and anti-proliferation of metabolite compounds using Autodock 4.2 software. The receptors used in the jak2, stat3, and smo pathways were obtained from the Protein Data Bank with the codes 6VGL, 6NUQ, and 5L7I, respectively. The ethanol extract produced is a thick yellowish brown extract with an aromatic smell and spicy taste, with an extract yield of 18.63% w/w. 75% ethanol extract of red ginger rhizomes has cytotoxic activity in HeLa cancer with an IC50 of 104.22 ± 6.18 µg/mL and an IC50 of cisplatin of 38.61 ± 3.66. Prediction of antiproliferative activity via the jak2 pathway shows a binding energy and Ki value of -7.47 kcal/mol, -7.48 kcal/mol, and 3.33 uM, 3.27 uM, as shown by alpha-cedrol and beta-eudesmol compounds. The highest inhibition on the stat3 and smo pathways was shown by the beta compound eudesmol, with binding energy and Ki values of -6.05 kcal/mol, -7.57 kcal/mol, and 36.48 uM, respectively; 2.81 uM

    In-vivo study of oleic acid and tween-80 on patch transdermal A.paniculata as anti-diabetic

    Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata) has been known empirically as a plant that has benefits as a traditional antidiabetic Javanese medicine to treat diabetes mellitus (DM). The main compound contained in sambiloto is andrographolide which has a hypoglycemia effect. Andrographolide has low solubility in water and poor bioavailability due to biotransformation by P-glycoprotein in the intestinal tract which causes andrographolide to metabolize more quickly in the duodenum and jejunum. To overcome this extract ethanol of sambiloto (EES) formulated to patch transdermal. Enhancers can affect the characteristics of transdermal patch preparations which affect the pharmacological activity of transdermal patch preparations. The critical point of transdermal patch preparation is the selection of enhancers which is one of the compounds to increase the penetration of active substances in the skin by disrupting the permeability of the stratum corneum. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of variations in the combination of oleic acid and tween 80 as an enhancer on the physical characteristics of EES patches.The methods of extraction sambiloto use soxhetation with ethanol 96% as solvent. The formulation of EES patch transdermal using solvent casting technique with various concentration enhancer tween-80 and oleic acid. This research was conducted by making 3 formulas, where F1  (1:1), F2 (1:3) and F3 (1:3). The evaluations include weight uniformity, thickness, water content, pH and folding endurance of the patch. The result of visual appearance the patch EES has a dark green with aroma specific of EES. The characteristics of EES transdermal patches were affected by the ratio of tween-80 and oleic acid as the enhancers. The combination of oleic acid and tween 80 as a permeation enhancer has an influence on physical characteristics (weight and thickness) of EES patches
