Adaptation and Psychometric Investigation of the Family Role Performance Scale
Get PDFFamily role performance refers to fulfilling responsibilities and expectations associated with various family roles. In urban Indonesia, changing gender roles and family dynamics have highlighted the importance of role division between spouses, but no studies have adapted a measurement tool into Indonesian. This study aims to adapt and test the psychometric validity of the Family Role Performance Scale by Chen et al. (2014) for Indonesian families, hypothesizing it will be a reliable tool. The research design is cross sectional, involving cultural adaptation and factor structure testing via Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Construct validity, convergent validity, and discriminant validity were also assessed. The sample consisted of 250 married couples, determined using a G-power of 0.8. Analysis results indicated that factor loading values above 0.5 demonstrate good validity and reliability, making the scale suitable for measuring role division in Indonesian families. These findings provide a reliable tool for assessing family role performance and supporting policies aimed at balancing family roles in a changing society
Crowd Level Monitoring System Using the R-CNN Mask Model
No full textA crowd level detection system is a system that identifies crowds based on the number of visitors. This system makes it easy to calculate visitors automatically, and can provide information on crowd levels. In this research, we overcome the problem of inefficient manual supervision at Beringharjo Market by implementing human object detection technology. Using the Mask R-CNN method, this research aims to automatically identify and count the number of market visitors, improve monitoring and analysis of crowd levels. Mask R-CNN allows identifying people with high accuracy, precisely measuring crowds, and adding ROI lines to make calculations easier. Comparison with SSD shows Mask R-CNN has slightly lower accuracy with an accuracy of 0.8333 with SSD getting an accuracy of 0.927, but better object understanding. Mask R-CNN has a lower frame rate of 2 fps on average with SSD getting an average of 25 fps compared to SSD. The results of this research have the potential to increase the efficiency of crowd monitoring and analysis at Beringharjo Market, assisting market management in making strategic decisions and better planning
Loneliness and psychological well-being among adolescents K-Pop fans
Get PDFPsychological well-being is important for adolescent, especially on their mental health. This study aimed to examine the relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being in adolescent K-pop fans. The population in this study were adolescents aged 13-18 years who were K-pop fans, with a research sample obtained from quota sampling with a total of 100 people. This research applied the quantitative method, while the data collection tools included the psychological well-being and loneliness scales. The data are then analyzed using the product moment technique. The study results show a significant negative relationship between loneliness and psychological well-being among adolescent K-pop fans. The level of psychological well-being and loneliness adolescent K-pop fans are in the moderate category. Based on the study results, the lower the level of loneliness among adolescents, the higher the psychological well-being will be and vice versa. The higher the level of loneliness, the lower the psychological well-being
Validation of picture story book “Tubuhku Berharga” as sexual education media for preschoolers
Get PDFChildren and teenagers are at risk of being sexually abused targeted or performing risky sexual behavior. Appropriate sex education from their closest environment presented by parents or teachers is in demand. However, parents and teachers have limitations in giving sex education, especially in early childhood. Even though workshops or training for improving parents’ knowledge and skills are effective, specifically designed education tools are needed to support parents ad teachers in disseminating sexuality topics for kids. This research aimed to validate the picture storybook “Tubuhku Berharga” specially designed for preschoolers in two consecutive procedures. First, the content validation process to evaluate the design’s relevance and appropriateness. Next, a quasi-experiment protocol as an empirical validation process was conducted following the content validation. A one-group pretest-posttest design was used in a local kindergarten. The result demonstrated that the picture storybook “Tubuhku Berharga” is valid as a supporting tool in teaching sexuality matters to preschoolers. We suggested constructing other visual media with other topics in sexuality health, such as reproduction and body image that are age-suitable for preschoolers
Self-esteem, subjective well-being, and narcissistic behavior among instagram users
Get PDFThe significant number of Instagram users exhibiting narcissistic behavior is a real phenomenon that underpins this study. Factors such as self-esteem and subjective well-being are known to influence narcissistic behavior. The main objective of this research is to empirically examine the relationship between self-esteem and subjective well-being with narcissistic behavior among Instagram users. Using a purposive sampling approach, 503 active Instagram users (aged between 24-45 years) comprised the study population. This research employed a quantitative methodology based on a correlational approach. Data collection instruments included the self-esteem scale, the subjective well-being scale, and the narcissistic behavior scale. Data analysis revealed an R value of 0.823, an F value of 3.021, and a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.01). The results indicate a significant relationship between self-esteem, subjective well-being, and narcissistic behavior. This study highlights the importance of enhancing self-esteem and subjective well-being among social media users to reduce excessive social comparison and envy
Ethanol-based solvent system for recovery antioxidant activity Centella asiatica L. Urban and its application in sleep-deprived Rats
Get PDFAntioxidants have the ability to eliminate free radicals by donating electrons to oxidants. Preclinical and clinical studies show that Centella asiatica L. Urban has antioxidant activity. Ethanol was the best solvent for extracted antioxidant compounds from Centella asiatica L. Urban. The concentration of ethanol solvents effect to the compounds extracted and its antioxidant activities. The objective of study to determine ethanol based solvent systems for best recovery of antioxidant activities and in vivo antioxidant activity of the most active extract using stress induced sleep-deprived rats with glutathione (GSH) concentration parameters. Ethanol based solvent system show different recovery antioxidant activity of Centella asiatica L. Urban. Ethanol 70% had the highest recovery of antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 76.76 ppm. Ethanol 70% Centella asiatica L. Urban extract given in sleep-deprived rats at 300 mg/kg were not significantly different in glutathione levels from those group rats that received the positive control solution (ascorbic acid). The 70% ethanol extract of C. asiatica L. Urban has the potential to ameliorate the stress induced by sleep deprivation
DNA-based detection of Rat in the meatballs product using a real-time polymerase chain reaction method
Get PDFThe meat-based products are highly susceptible to counterfeiting, primarily due to high consumer demand of meat derivative products, such as meatballs. This demand creates opportunities for food fraud by specific industries, including adulterating meat with non-halal species, such as rats. This research aimed to detect rat meat contamination in meatball samples from the Indonesian local market using Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). The RT-PCR amplification involved an initial denaturation step at 95°C for 3 minutes, followed by denaturation at 95°C for 15 seconds, and annealing/extension at 60°C for 1 minute. The rat-specific probe primer included in the kit produced an increasing curve in the External Positive Control (EPC) with a Ct value of 27.22, and no amplification occurred in the Negative Control (NTC). The analysis of 30 samples from meatball vendors yielded negative results, as there was no increase in the FAM (rat) curve, indicating that none of the meatballs were contaminated with rat DNA

Get PDFThe avian species virus that causes Newcastle disease is an extremely contagious illness. Avian paramyxovirus 1, or Newcastle disease virus (NDV), is a virus that brings harm to poultry's central nervous system and digestive tract. The NDV outbreak was initially documented in 1928 in Java, Indonesia. Newcastle disease does not currently require therapy. One popular and useful strategy for preventing and treating viral infections, such as Newcastle disease, is vaccination. With a variety of native medicinal plants and an abundance of biodiversity, Indonesia presents a promising area for biotechnology and pharmaceutical research. Laportea decumana, is a native plant in the Eastern part of Indonesia that contains alkaloids, glycosides, steroids, flavonoids, tannin, and saponin. Its cytotoxic, analgesic, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties have all been demonstrated. The antiviral properties of L. decumana have not been extensively researched. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine L. decumana's antiviral activity, particularly against NDV, using a variety of techniques, including the plaque assay, cytotoxicity test, and gene expression experiment. L. decumana extracts at 100 mikrogram per mL or less is a safe concentration to consider, as it still has 65 persen and above cell viability based on the results of the cytotoxic assay
Antioxidant, analgetic, and anti-inflammatory activity test of purple leaf ethanol extract (Graptophyllum pictum L. Griff) in vitro and in vivo
Get PDFPurple leaves are one of the plants that are widely used as medicine. Purple leaves have 3 types of plant varieties, namely purple leaves, green leaves, and white mottled leaves. Purple leaves have pharmacological activities that can be used as medicine, including antioxidants (improving the deterioration of cells in the body), anti-inflammatory (reducing or suppressing inflammation), antidiabetic (lowering blood glucose levels), analgesics (relieving pain), immunomodulators (increasing the work of the immune system in the body), antihemorrhoids (treating symptoms and complaints of hemorrhoids), and antibacterial (as an antiseptic). The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidant activity of purple leaf ethanol extract (Graphtophyllum pictum (L.) Griff) in vitro using the DPPH method and to determine its effectiveness as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory against Wistar rats.The results showed that antioxidant activity showed an IC50 value of 72.31 ppm (strong antioxidant). Meanwhile, in the analgetic test, the highest percentage of analgesic effectiveness was found at a dose of 100 mg/kg BW (129.64%) and showed anti-inflammatory activity at a dose of 100 mg/kgBW with a percentage decrease in edem volume of 28.73% at the sixth hour

Perkembangan zaman sangat memudahkan orang tua, guru, dan tenaga didik lain untuk mengajarkan ajaran agama Islam kepada anak-anak. Animasi 3D menjadi salah satu alternatif yang paling banyak digunakan, selain mudah menarik perhatian anak, animasi 3D juga mudah dimengerti untuk anak-anak. Animasi 3D ini dapat berupa karakter animasi yang banyak digemari oleh anak-anak. Pembuatan karakter animasi “Antri Itu Islam” bisa menggunakan software “Blender”. Software ini sangat membantu dalam pembuatan animasi, pewarnaan animasi, pembuatan latar, serta pemberian struktur dan kontrol pada karakter 3D. Pembuatan animasi ini dapat membantu para tenaga pendidik maupun orang tua mengajarkan kepada anak-anak terkait nilai antri menurut ajaran Islam
