Batik Motif From The Movement Of Dynamics Harmoic Waves
This batik motif is inspired by the movement of waves in the context of dynamic harmony. Through mathematical and philosophical analysis, wave motion is explored as a symbol of life that constantly changes yet remains harmonious. The methods used include studies on wave displacement, wave partitioning, and the dynamics of waves on a string fixed at one end. Each phase of wave movement is interpreted from the perspective of culture and life values, inviting the viewer to understand the beauty in change and appreciate diversity. Through this motif, the creator wishes to convey that beauty can be found in the dynamic fluctuations of life, inspiring one to face challenges with balance
Pharmacist counseling improves medication compliance of schizophrenia patients
Schizophrenia is a disorder characterized by abnormal behavior, impaired thinking, disorganized speech, and a reduced ability to perceive reality. One of the key factors influencing the success of schizophrenia therapy is patient adherence. Pharmacy plays a crucial role in the treatment of schizophrenia patients. This study aimed to determine the effect of pharmacist counseling on drug adherence of schizophrenia patients from the first month to the second month. The method used in this study was a one-group pre-test and post-test design that used quasi-experimental research. The subjects of this study were schizophrenia patients in the outpatient installation of Prof.Dr.Soerojo Mental Hospital, Magelang. This study used the Medication Adherence Rating Scale (MARS) questionnaire to measure the level of adherence and drug use monitoring sheet (pill count) to monitor the amount of patient medication. The population in this study was calculated using the Lameshow formula. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and the Wilcoxon test. After analyzing data of 108 patients, it was found that there was a significant difference between before and after counseling conducted by pharmacists on medication adherence in schizophrenia patients, with a significance value of p <0.05. Counseling conducted by pharmacists has a good impact on patient medication adherence and monitoring the amount of medication taken. These results indicate the effect of counseling conducted by pharmacists on adherence to taking medication and the monitoring of the amount of medication taken by patients
System Identification Position Error in Panoramic Radiography: a Review
The professionalism of the radiologist greatly influences the results of radiological images. The quality of panoramic radiography greatly influences accurate clinical diagnosis. The correct patient position is one of the many factors that affect high-quality and accurate panoramic radiography. The process of taking radiographic images causes radiation exposure to the patient, so that when taking radiographic images repeatedly it is very bad for the patient. A review research is needed to reduce radiation exposure by improving the quality of panoramic radiography. This research conducted a literature review by proposing the questions (1) What types of position errors in panoramic radiography have been researched? (2) How is the process of identifying position errors in panoramic radiography that have been researched? The results of the review research showed that the types of position errors in panoramic radiography that have been researched are the head turning, the tongue not sticking to the palate, the chin down, the chin not resting on the support. The process of evaluating position errors in panoramic radiography is mostly done manually, there is only one research that identifies position errors in panoramic radiography automatically using SVM. That there is a great opportunity to create an automatic system for identifying position errors in panoramic radiography to be more precise and time efficient
Enhancing Soybean Fertilization Optimization with Prioritized Experience Replay and Noisy Networks in Deep Q-Networks
This study focuses on the optimization of reinforcement learning in the Deep Q Network algorithm. This is achieved using the prioritized experience replay algorithm and Noisy Network optimization. The main goal is to optimize fertilization so that it can adapt to its environment and avoid over-fertilization. This study uses the prioritized experience replay algorithm and Noisy Network optimization to create an agent in RL that is able to explore and exploit optimally so that it can improve the precision of fertilization in soybeans. This methodology includes several steps, including data preparation, creating an environment that matches real-world conditions, and validating changes in soil nutrient conditions. The RL model was trained with PER and NN, with performance evaluated using cumulative reward, convergence speed, action distribution, and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The main results of the study show that DQN-PER NN achieves the highest cumulative reward, approaching 600,000 in 1000 episodes, outperforming standard DQN, A2C, and PPO. It also converges faster at episode 230, indicating superior adaptability. In addition, the results of this study indicate that the model that has been created is able to recommend a dose of SP36 fertilizer of 150 kg/ha, urea fertilizer of 100 kg/ha, and KCL fertilizer of 125 kg/ha. Compared with the A2C and PPO methods, the dose of urea fertilizer is reduced by 14%, KCL fertilizer is reduced by 33%, while for SP36 the difference is 23%. In Conclusion this model effectively distributes actions based on environmental conditions, which supports sustainable agriculture. In conclusion, the integration of PER and NN into DQN significantly improves exploration and decision making, and optimizes soybean fertilization. This model not only improves harvest efficiency but also encourages sustainable agricultural practices
A Design and Evaluation of a SNEDDS-Based System for Temu Ireng (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb.) Extract: Enhancing Antioxidant Efficacy Using the SLD Technique
Temu Ireng (Curcuma aeruginosa Roxb.) is known for its strong antioxidant properties, primarily due to its bioactive compounds such as curcumin. However, these chemicals' lipophilia and instability in traditional formulations frequently limit their bioavailability. To address these challenges, a Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery System (SNEDDS) was developed using the Simple Lattice Design (SLD) method to improve the chemical and physical properties of Temu Ireng extract by forming a stable nanoemulsion that is uniformly distributed in the digestive system. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate a SNEDDS of Temu Ireng extract using the SLD approach, with a focus on enhancing its antioxidant activity. The formulation involved selecting suitable oils, surfactants, and cosurfactants, followed by optimization based on solubility studies, phase diagrams, and thermodynamic stability tests. The SNEDDS was characterized for physical properties such as emulsification time, transmittance, particle size, zeta potential, and polydispersity index. The optimized SNEDDS formulation exhibited excellent characteristics, including an emulsification time of less than 1 minute, near 100% transmittance, a particle size of 9.77 ± 1.33 nm, zeta potential of 0.9 ± 0.1 mV, and a polydispersity index of 0.302 ± 0.033. Antioxidant testing using the DPPH method showed that the 0.1% SNEDDS formulation of Temu Ireng extract had an inhibition concentration (IC50) value of 58.482 mg/L, indicating strong antioxidant activity. The results suggest that the SNEDDS formulation using the SLD method could be an effective strategy to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy of Temu Ireng extract as an antioxidant agent
The legal issues concerning Nigerian’s student education loan act: A lesson from Uganda perspective
Introduction to the Problem: Education is said to be one of the major keys to development and civilization. Concerning this, the Nigeria and the Uganda governments had sought to enhance and facilitate tuition fees of tertiary education of peasant citizens, by enacting the Student Loan Act, Unlike the Uganda Education Loan Act, there seems to be a gridlock in accessing education loans in Nigeria.
Purpose/Study Objectives: In this regard, this study examines the issues concerning the Nigeria and Uganda tertiary education loan act, with a view of taking a leap from the Uganda student loan act in improving on the Nigeria student loan act.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In this regard, the study adopts a hybrid study method, 406 questionnaires were sent to respondents residing in Nigeria and Uganda. The results obtained were analyzed using a descriptive and analytical method.
Findings: The study identified significant flaws in the Nigeria Loan Act that risk undermining its intended purpose, whereas the Uganda Tertiary Education Loan Act offers a more effective framework, granting students better access to loans and scholarships. Consequently, the study concludes that Nigeria should adopt key aspects of Uganda’s model, particularly its student-friendly provisions, to improve access to educational financing. It therefore recommends that Nigerian policymakers reform the existing loan system by integrating successful elements from Uganda’s approach, ensuring greater equity and efficiency in supporting students’ academic pursuits.

Preliminary study survey of student needs in learning plant morphology towards a more effective learning model
Plant morphology plays a crucial role in biological education, yet it often faces challenges regarding the effectiveness of its learning models. This preliminary study aims to identify student needs in plant morphology learning. A survey method was used to collect data on student opinions, understanding, difficulties, and attitudes after completing the plant morphology course through a questionnaire. The study was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025. The sample selection used a purposive sampling technique, with 128 respondents consisting of Biology and Biology Education students at UAD. Data were collected using a Google Form-based questionnaire. Research variables were measured using a Likert scale, along with binary yes/no options to assess respondents' agreement with various statements, as well as several open-ended questions. The study results show that 99% of students consider plant morphology an important course. However, students still find difficulties in learning plant morphology, particularly in the topics of flower parts, floral formulas, and floral diagrams (55.5%). The study found that students prefer environmental learning resources to better master the material. Practical and observational methods were selected by 84% of students as preferred learning. Furthermore, 90% of students emphasized the importance of outdoor learning experiences due to direct involvement with nature, and 86% expressed willingness to participate. Thus, it can be concluded that a learning model incorporating outdoor experiences is needed for plant morphology course
Analysis of Self-Regulation in the Rencong Telang Islamic Society Perspective of Social Cognitive Theory
The Rencong Telang Islamic society reflects distinctive cultural characteristics and unique values, particularly in the self-regulation system involving religious norms and local traditions. The individual's ability to control behavior and adapt to societal values is a key element in understanding behavior, especially in social and religious contexts. This research aims primarily to delve into and comprehensively analyze the phenomenon of self-regulation in the Rencong Telang Islamic society. Specific objectives include exploring the concepts and practices of self-regulation, involving religious norms, local traditions, and cultural values that shape self-regulation. This article also aims to analyze the role of self-regulation in various aspects of community life, ranging from worship to marriage customs and communal land management. Focus is also given to the social challenges and changes faced by the Rencong Telang Islamic society to understand how self-regulation can uphold traditional values. The method used is literature review, encompassing an analysis of relevant literature on self-regulation, Islamic society, and the specific context of the Rencong Telang Islamic society. The research findings indicate that self-regulation in this society encompasses various aspects of daily life, involving customs, Islamic principles, and governance. The ability to control behavior in worship, marriage customs, and communal land management is an integral part of self-regulation. The community employs self-regulation to preserve traditional values, adapt to changes, address social challenges, and manage social interactions. In the context of Social Cognitive Theory, self-regulation is explained as the result of behavioral control in customs and Islamic beliefs, embodied in Undang as the daily norm reflecting the influence of nature, Islamic teachings, and local traditions. Overall, self-regulation in this society is not solely individual but reflects social dynamics involving the entire community, with significant impacts on aspects of life, customs, Islam, and governance, playing a crucial role in preserving cultural values and identity
Friendship quality and empathy with the happiness of new students
High levels of happiness have a positive impact on students' academic continuity. This study aims to examine the relationship between friendship quality and empathy with the happiness of new students. The method used in this study is quantitative correlational, with a sample size of 368 new students. The sampling technique used is probability sampling. Three measurement tools were used: the Happiness According Scale, the Friendship Quality Scale (FQUA), and the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that there is a significant relationship between friendship quality and empathy with happiness. Individuals with good friendship quality and high empathy will experience increased happiness. Partial tests also illustrate the influence of each variable, with both friendship quality and empathy contributing to individual happiness. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between friendship quality and empathy with the happiness of new students at Sunan Ampel State Islamic University Surabaya
A phenomenological investigation of the impact of study abroad experiences on the development of intercultural communication skills in college students
Intercultural communication represents a significant challenge in the adaptation process for students studying outside their home regions. This study aims to examine the impact of studying abroad on the development of students' intercultural communication skills. A qualitative approach, utilizing a case study design, was employed for this research. The study involved four students who were currently studying abroad, selected through purposive sampling. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to gather insights from each participant. The analysis revealed four key themes: personality resilience, communication skills, psychological adaptation, and cultural awareness. The findings suggest that psychological resilience plays a crucial role in facilitating effective intercultural communication. Additionally, interpersonal communication skills are essential in this process. A common psychological challenge faced by students is homesickness, which can be mitigated by maintaining regular communication with family members. Studying abroad also enhances students' awareness of Indonesia's cultural diversity, prompting them to expand their understanding of different cultures, values, environments, and norms. This study underscores the importance of strengthening guidance and counseling services in higher education to support students' adaptation to new environments.
