    PENANGANAN PASCA PANEN BERBAGAI VARIETAS PADI DENGAN RICE MILLING UNIT (RMU)

    The purpose of research to see and know the process and the results of post-harvest handling of the various varieties of rice using the Rice Milling Unit (RMU). The experiment was conducted PB on rice plant. Ase ball and Laboratory PT. Sang Hyang Seri (Persero) Sidrap. samples is done by taking 100 grams of grain at random from each of the varieties are varieties Mekongga, Ciliwung, Inpari 7, Ciherang, and Cisantana. Post-harvest rice by using Rice Milling Unit (RMU) that will address the quality of milled rice, rice resulting in a clean, white, shiny, and keep nourishing that have undergone the process as follows: a) The water content of dry grain harvest (GKP) is between 18% - 22%, b) storage of dry grain harvest (GKP) into dry milled grain (GKK) does not exceed 36 hours after the rice is harvested. The results average GKP processed using RMU shows the lowest water content at 22.9% which is the Ciliwung varieties. GKP higher water content, the higher the percentage of empty. The results of average quality rice Broken skin is processed at RMUshows the water content GKP all varieties together is 14%. Results Mean Quality Components Milled Rice, Variety show any degree of polished rice is the same, namely 95%. Mekongga varieties have the highest head rice percentage, ie 97% of the lowest broken rate, namely 2.8%. The percentage is the lowest head rice varieties Inpari 7, which is 79% broken rate is also high at 16%

    This research aims at: 1) Determine the utilization of fish in the waters injel napolen South Sulawesi. 2) Knowing the production rate under on sustainability stocks in the waters of South Sulawesi. 3) to analyze the size and age structure of fish in the waters injel napolen South Sulawesi. The basic method used in this research is descriptive and explanatory. Kinds of data in this study based dimensiwaktu, the time series data (time series) and cross section (cross-points) and the weight of the fish length.The Status of analysis is the use of the model to determine the relationship FOX CPUE and effort. The composition of the length and weight of fish length injel napoleon analyzed descriptively in tables and graphs with units or percentages.Injel napoleon fish caught is where 53% of young fish gonadnya undeveloped, 26% female, 14% male and 7% hermaphrodites. While fekunditasnya not be determined because gonadnya undeveloped. Size of the fish were caught ranging in size from 4.3 cm which is dominated by the size of 8.1 to 11 cm (38.4%) and the size from 11.1 to 15 (29.4%). While the size of the largest was 15.1 - 25 cm which is only 6.7%. Length relationships are allometrik weight, growth rate of 0.4934 cm / yr with a maximum length of 41.7 cm at the age of 13 years. Examples of fish obtained 1.5 years old, age of first arrest 151 days and the age of first spawning of 2.5 years

    This study aimed to evaluate the body weight gain and feed efficiency of the various different levels of tofu on duck meat with intensive farming systems. The usefulness of this research is to find feed formulations using tofu as an alternative feed to increase weight gain and more efficient for feed use, is being used is duck duck king. This research was conducted in the village of Talumae district. Wattang Sidenreng Kab. Sidrap for three months.The study used a base CRD (completely randomized design) with four standard treatment, ie control without giving tofu, tofu waste treatment with the addition of 20%, treatment with the addition of tofu waste 30%, and treatment with the addition of 40% tofu. Each treatment consisted of 4 groups, so there are 16 experimental units, each unit consisting of 6 ducks Raja, a total of 96 observations ducks. The parameters measured were body weight gain (UN) and the efficiency of feed utilization is calculated every week.Results showed Giving tofu tofu in the treatment of 30% can increase body weight broiler ducks better than other treatments, and not significantly different from the control and 20% tofu, but tofu significantly different from 40% at level ?> 0 , 05. Efficiency of feed use in the treatment obtained the lowest score tofu 30% and did not differ very significantly with 40% tofu waste treatment. Being the highest value obtained from the control and did not differ very significantly with 20% tofu waste treatment, but differed significantly with treatment tofu and tofu 30% 40% at level ?> 0.01

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tempat deposisi semen terhadap fertelitas telur ayam buras.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara eksperimental sesuai pola rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, perlakuan A1 = kawin alam, perlakuan A2 = IB intra vagina, perlakuan A3 = intra uterin.Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa metode perkawinan Insemninasi Buatan (IB) tidak berpengaruh  nyata pada taraf <0,05terhadap fertelits telur ayam buras.  Hal ini menunjukkanmetode perkawinan yang diterapkandalam penelitian ini tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap fertelitas telur ayam buras, tetapi secara empiris memperlihatkan bahwa dengan menerapkan IB intra vagina dan  IB intra uteri lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan metode kawin alam

    The purpose of this study is to assess and optimize the process of extraction of carrageenan (variation ratio of water, the concentration of KCl precipitation and temperature) on the seaweed Eucheuma cottonii to shorten the processing time. This research method is divided into two stages: 1) Preliminary research with the aim to find a range of concentrations of KCl solution is best, 2) optimization of the process is to compare the water phase, the concentration of KCl precipitation and temperature are optimal. Carrageenan is then analyzed yield (AOAC. 1984), viscosity (FMC Corp. 1977), power gel (FMC Corp. 1977), moisture content (AOAC 1995), ash (AOAC 1995), acid insoluble ash content (AOAC 1995), the levels of sulfate (FMC Corp. 1977) and whiteness (Food Chemical Codex. 1981). Experimental design used was completely randomized factorial design. Preliminary results show The concentration of KCl solution 1 and 1.5% selected the best, although the structure is not harder than 2% KCl but not to cause a sense of the carrageenan produced. Produced the highest yield of water ratio 1:40. Highest viscosity ratio obtained in the combination treatment of water 1:20, 1% KCl. Carrageenan gel strength generated in this study ranged between 1493.49 - 2202.97 g/cm2 at each combination of treatments. Combination treatments are best produced water ratio 1: 20, 1% KCl concentration and precipitation temperature of 30 oC (A1B1C2) based on the parameters yield of 31.77%, 145.00 cP viscosity, gel strength 1897.14, 9.73 moisture content, ash content of 29.59, ash content was 0.83 acid soluble, sulfate levels and whiteness 18:36 51.57. Research on the optimization process can still be studied better, especially in the financial analysis

    PENGGUNAAN SISTEM BIOREMEDIASI PADA MEDIA BUDIDAYA IKAN SIDAT (Anguilla sp)

    Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komponen (bakteri) probiotik  terhadap laju pertumbuhan ikan sidat (Anguilla sp) pada stadium glass eels. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April-Juli 2011 di Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Pangkep, Kecamatan Mandalle, Kabupaten Pangkep. Jenis bakteri yang digunakan sebagai komponen probiotik uji adalah Azotobacter 25 x 106-105, Bacillus sp3,5 x 107-104  cfu/ml; Pseudomonas sp 7,0 x 105-104  cfu/ml; Azospirillum 3,0 x 107-105  cfu/ml; Cythophaga sp 1,5 x 104-103  cfu/ml (Biobost). Probiotik tersebut ditambahkan ke dalam air media pemeliharaan. Percobaan dilakukan dalam wadah akuarium berukuran 30 x 40 x 40 cm3 dengan ketinggian air 30 cm pada setiap wadah dan tempatkan secara acak. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas komponen probiotik sebagai bioremediasi, dilakukan penambahan komponen probiotik sebagai perlakuan ke dalam air media yang terdiri atas 3 taraf (dosis) yaitu A (5,0 ml/liter); B (10 ml/liter) dan C (15 ml/liter). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup larva ikan sidat uji diamati setiap minggu secara sampling. Tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan sidat uji yang tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan D (48,3%) disusul pada perlakuan C (42,3%) dan B (32,0) serta yang terendah diperoleh pada perlakuan A (9,1%). Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kelangsungan hidup  larva ikan sidat uji pada setiap perlakuan berbeda  nyata (P>0,05)

    This study analysed factors associated with adoption dairy farmer to biogas tecnology. There were 39 dairy cattle farmers in Enrekang Regency, Sulawesi Selatan that used biogas technology as research sample. Data were analysed by multiple correlation procedure using excel 2007 program. Research results showed that factors related to adoption of biogas technology were age, education background, income, experience, number of livestocks, number of families, contact with famers, contact with extension agent, digester distance to the kitchen, ability to obtains information, time gap to knew biogas until application, and motivation. The coefficiants relations of the famers characteristics and their adoption were 0.57 respectively

    This research aimed at observing the influence of the additional carbondioxide concentrations in cultured media to quantity and quality of microalgae Chaetoceros gracilis.The research container was a polyethylene line of 50 l volume which initial stocking density 105 cel/mlof C.gracilis and polycarbonate tank 100 l volume for tiger shrimp larvae rearing with stocking density of 100 naupli /l. The carbondioxide used were commercial carbondioxide injected in aeration system  ofC. gracilis culture media. The experiments tried with different carbondioxide concentrations were, A = 0% (Non additional CO2), B = 2%, C = 4% and D = 6% with three repetition times.     The result of the research revealed that  experiment of the additional carbondioxide in culture media increasing protein and BETN,but decreasing of fat, ash and crude fibre C.gracilis. The best carbondioxide concentrations to growth rate C. gracilis obtained in 2% (v/v) carbondioxide concentrations

    The research aims to study the role of extracellular enzymes molecule wight on the virulence of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubence (Foc).  The study was conduvted in the glass house, laboratory of plant pathology.  The isoletd used in this research are Bnt 1 and Bnt 2 from Yogyakarta, Btu 3 from Malang, Wsb 3 from Wonosobo, Lmp 3from Lampung and, Kjg 3 from Kalimantan.  Banana cultivar ambon kuning is used as tested plant.  Pathogenicity test is conducted by using hydroponic system.  The plant roots are injured with a needle and then put into filled with sterile water.  The suspension of Foc conodia is added in to plastic cup up to 106 spore/ml in concentration.  Observation of symptom was conducted at 6 week by counting the score of necrotic symptom (RDI/Rhizome Discoloration Index) on banana cob which cut horizontally.  Analysis extracelluler enzymes is done by using sodium dodecyl sulphate polycrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE).The result of pathogenicity test showed that  the virulence of six isolates of Foc is not significantly different.  Est of extracellular enzyme activity on six isolates of Foc showed that there is significant different between extracellular enzymes activity on isolates of Bnt 2, Wsb 3, Lmp 3, Kjg 3, and control but not for isolates of Bnt 1 and Btu 3.  The six isolates have protein variation both amount and type that is probably related to its patogenisity.  The result of SDS-PAGE showed that the six isolates of Foc have same protein pattern at 55,6 kDa.  Protein pattern of Bnt 1, Bnt 2, Btu 3, Wsb 3, and Lmp 3 is laid on 42.84 kDa.  Isolate of Bnt 2 has protein pattern at 36.5 kDa and Btu 3 has protein pattern at 20 kDa.  The protein pattern that approaches to the pattern of polygalacturonase is Bnt 2 at 36.5 kDa molecule wight
