DESAIN OF ACOUSTIC SANDWICH COMPOSITE FROM FOAM CONCRETE AND PALM FIBER
The purpose of this research were to investigate the influence of palm fiber composition and the number of hole cavities was varied with design Acoustic Sandwich Composite on sound absorption of acoustic panel. Acoustic panel were made of palm fiber as core and foam concreate as skin upper layer and bottom layer where there is a hole cavity on skin upper layer. Composition and the number of hole cavities was varied from 1 to 3 kg and the number of hole cavities from 25 to 81 hole. Sound absorption measurement was conducted by using reverberation room method based on ISO-354 (2003) with pink and white noise as sound source. The results showed that sample thickness affect acoustic absorption value effectively shifted at low frequencies, as in this research the best sound absorption occurs in panel with composition palm fiber most widely 3 kg, but coeffesient absorpsi value effective is in the range 250 Hz and use the number of hole cavities at skin upper layer of each sample effectively cause sound absorption coeffisient value increased, for both pink and white noise from sound source.Keyword : acoustic panel, foam concrete, palm fiber, sandwich composite, and absorption coefficien
SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TiO2/-Fe2O3 COMPOSITE USING HEMATITE FROM IRON SAND FOR PHOTODEGRADATION REMOVAL OF DYE
In this paper, TiO2/-Fe2O3 composite with high photocatalytic activity was prepared by a mechanical milling using iron sand from Lampanah in Aceh Besar regency as hematite (-Fe2O3) source. Hematite was extracted from iron sand by using hydrochloric acid followed by co-precipitating using ammonium hydroxide as co-precipitation agent. Hematite and TiO2 powder were mixed and milled on a planetary ball mill without incorporating any solvent. The materials were characterized by using X-ray difraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). The XRD results showed that the iron (III) oxide synthesized was hematite (-Fe2O3) phase with the average crystallite size 27.967 nm. SEM analysis showed that iron sand was on irregular form, while the hematite (-Fe2O3) and TiO2/-Fe2O3 composite was on regular sphere. The TiO2/-Fe2O3 composite was evaluated on photodegradation of indigo carmine (IC) dye using UV light irradiation. The highest degradation efficiency of IC (100%) was obtained by initial pH of dye solution equal to 1, photocatalyst dosage of 0.2 g, initial dye consentration of 5 mg/L for 120 min irradiation time. The photocatalytic activity of TiO2/-Fe2O3 composites using UV light was almost the same as that of by solar light. Keywords: Iron sand, -Fe2O3/TiO2 composite, mechanical milling, photocatalyst, indigo carmin

ANALYSIS OF SHALLOW SUBSURFACE STRUCTURE AT GEOTHERMAL AREA OF IE JUE USING RESISTIVITY METHOD
It has been conducted a geo-electrical resistivity survey at geothermal area of Ie Jue, Aceh Besar. The survey aims to measure resistivity value in the area. It is expected that the values of resistivity will image the subsurface structure in the area. In addition geological features in the area are shown after we process it. The data acquisition in this study was acquired using a SuperSting R8/IP resistivitymeter and its data processing using EarthImager 2D software to get the image of resistivity pseudosection. The two lines of measurement crossed the surface geothermal manifestation. Each line has 330 m in length, and 56 electrodes with electrode space of 6 m. The result of resistivity pseudosection model interpreted based on geological condition and observation in the area. Resistivity pseudosection model shows the study is water-saturated (64.0 m) to a depth of 65 m and a highly conductive zone (0.6-3.5 m) with a thickness of 30-50 m. This conductive layers below the embodied surface at a distance of 158-160 m on the IJ-Y1 line and at a range of 130-185 m on the IJ-Y2 line. This conductive zone is indicated as a weak zone where geothermal fluids are transported to the surface. Keywords: Geothermal, Ie Jue, geo-electrical resistivity survey, resistivityREFERENCESBennet, J.D., Bridge, D.McC., Cameron, N.., Djunuddin, A., Ghazali, S.A., Jeffrey, D.H., Kartawa, W., Rock, M.N.S., Thomson, S.J., Whandoyo, R., 1981. ANALYSIS OF SILDENAFIL AND ITS DERIVATIVES IN JAMU (HERBAL MEDICINES) USING LC/MS/MS SPECTROSCOPY
Jamu (herbal medicine) is a traditional Indonesian medicine used to nourish, treat, and restore of health, as well as for beauty and fitness. A healthy Jamu is safe when consumed and free from chemicals (in Indonesia its called BKO). BKO is a medicinal chemical compound which is intentionally added in jamu (herbal medicine), which aims to increase the accelerate effects of Jamu or herbal medicine from the usual. The aims of this study are to extract, isolate, identify and elucidate the structure of the BKO of sildenafil and its derivatives in two herbal preparations circulating in the city of Banda Aceh. Extraction, isolation and identification of sildenafil BKO and its derivatives in jamu were done by using column chromatography (CC) and thin layer chromatography (TLC) meanwhile, the structure elucidation of sildenafil and its derivatives were done by Fourier-Transform Infra-Red (FT-IR) and liquid chromatography/mass spectroscopy (LC/MS/MS). The results of extraction, isolation and identification with a solvent ethyl acetate: methanol: ammonium hydroxide (25%) (100: 15: 1.5 v/v showed that two jamu circulating in Banda Aceh positively contained BKO sildenafil derivatives, namely thiosildenafil. The FT-IR analysis showed a strong absorption of thiocarbonyl (C=S) group at 1288-1242 cm-1, which is a typical uptake of the thiosildenafil compound. The Spectroscopy LC/MS/MS analysis using electron spray ionization (ESI-MS/MS) showed that the isolate have a similar spectra with thiosildenafil compound [TSLD+H]+ at 491 m/z and [TSLD+Na]+ at 513 m/z and other derivate of thiosildenafil, namely propoxyphenylhydroxylethylthiosildenafil [PHTSLD+H]+ at 533 m/z
