Along with the increasing progress of gasoline type of fuel led to many types of gasoline fuel sold in Indonesia to meet consumer demand required for fuel energy motor fuel. Includes Premium fuel types, Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, and Pertamax Racing. Therefore, with the number of options are conducted research on the use of 3 different types of fuel are: Premium, Pertalite, and Pertamax tested on a 125cc motor fuel engine for 7 hours nonstop at 4000 rpm speed to know the effect on the difference in decrease in value of Viscosity and TBN SAE10W-30 lubricating oil used on the combustion engine. Given the function Lubricant oil is also very important in maintaining the durability and performance of the engine. The results show that the use of Pertamax fuel has the highest decrease in Viscosity and TBN value compared to Pertalite and Premium fuels. Where each value of Viscosity and TBN on the sample of Pertamax lubricant 9.7 cSt and 6.9 mg KOH / g. Pertalite 9.8 cSt and 7.1 mg KOH / g. Premium 7.2 cSt and 10 mg KOH / g
Pengaruh Flux Elektroda AWS 5.1 E 6013 Dicelup Oli pada Pengelasan Besi Cor Kelabu FC-25 Terhadap Kekuatan Tarik: Effect of Oil Dipped AWS 5.1 E 6013 Electrode Flux on FC-25 Gray Cast Iron Welding on Tensile Strength
In this study using specimens of gray cast iron Fc-25 (grade 2500). The test specimen is needed there 12 specimens include three test specimen material (base metal), 3 specimen variety of welding electrodes cast CI-A1, 3 specimen variety of welding using welding electrodes AWS 5.1 E6013 without immersion oil, three specimens variation welding using welding electrodes 5.1 AWS E6013 with immersion oil. The results of testing specimens welding electrodes cast CI-A1 in the amount of 16.63 MPa with 0.84% strain and a variety of welding electrode AWS E6013 5.1 with immersion oil also has the highest ultimate tensile strength of welding another variation in the amount of 17.98 MPa with a strain of 0.48% , While the lowest was tensile strength using a variety of welding electrode AWS E6013 5.1 without immersion oil that is 16.28 MPa with a strain of 0.49%
Pengaruh Penambahan Kadar Gula Pasir pada Lem Besi Tipe Epoxy terhadap Tegangan Geser Sambungan: Effect of Addition of Granulated Sugar Levels to Epoxy Type Iron Glue on Sliding Connections
This research concerned on glueing by adding sugar variation toward metal shear strength tested with tensile test. Shear strength test was conducted as method of this research with tensile test tool where variation of additional suggar is respectively 1 gr, 2 gr, 3 gr, and 4 gr with 3 specimens for each variation. Result of testing shows that the highest value of shear strength is 0.69 kg/mm2 on variation of 1 gr additional sugar. Whereas, 2 gr additional sugar variation resulted the highest shear stress of 0.30 on specimen no. 2. Meanwhile, on 3 gr variation, the highest value is 0.821 kg/mm2 on specimen no. 3. The last variation of 4 gr additional sugar has the highest value on 0.074 for specimen no. 2. It confirms that adding powder on epoxy glue will increase displacement or additional length during testing process. Yet, the highest displacement occur in 3 gr additional sugar variation. It is due to the additional sugar of 3 gr made epoxy dense and less stiff compare with 1 gr, 2 gr, and 4 gr additional sugar. It is as depicted by Table 4.2 on 4 gr variation for shear stress and tensile stress
Analisa Kinerja Aliran Fluida dalam Rangkaian Seri dan Paralel dengan Penambahan Tube Bundle pada Pompa Sentrifugal: Analysis of Fluid Flow Performance in Series and Parallel with the Addition of a Tube Bundle on a Centrifugal Pump
Pump is a device used to move fluid from one place to another through the pipe media as a channel. The pump has 2 important components in its performance, namely: Impeller and pump house (casing). When the pump cannot meet the required capacity it can use series and parallel pump circuits to increase it. When moving the fluid to a high surface or high pressure it will have the specifications of the head and discharge. Fluid flow is a liquid that flows in a pipe. In flow there is fluid pressure and also flow type. There are 3 flow types, namely laminer, transition, turbulent. To reduce turbulence in the flow can be used Tube bundle which is a device consisting of several pipes that are tied together that are attached to a cross section in the pipe. This research was conducted in 4 testing stages, namely series circuit with additional tube bundle, series circuit without additional tube bundle, parallel circuit with additional tube bundle, parallel circuit without additional tube bundle. Each test takes fluid pressure, discharge, flow type. From the results of this study it was found that the parallel circuit pump with an additional tube bundle produces fluid pressure, discharge, flow velocity smaller than the series circuit, whereas when without additional the parallel tube pump bundle produces a fluid pressure, discharge, flow velocity greater than the circuit series, while for the flow type of this study is turbulent flow
Analisa Efektivitas Dan Efisiensi Pompa Bravo Tipe WP20CX Untuk Pembersihan Kolam Renang di Kolam Rahayu Park: Analysis of the Effectiveness and Efficiency of Bravo Pump Type WP20CX for Swimming Pool Cleaning in Rahayu Park Pond
Technological development is very rapid, the demand for the needs of both goods and services is demanded to be faster. Pumps are one of the tools that are often used in industry to help meet human needs, where this tool is used to ease the burden of humans who cannot be demanded to continue working. But in determining the pump there are many things that need to be considered in its use. Analysis of the WP20CX BRAVO pump used in the process of assisting the provision of clean water in the Rahayu Park pond is one of the stages in which the performance of the pump is known in terms of the effectiveness and efficiency of the pump against pool cleaning. This determination was reviewed through several different discharge variables when taking 5 samples at each suction of 100%, 80%, 60% and 40% with the aim that the pump works optimally. From the discharge, the pump size is produced with a discharge of 300 liters / minute, pump diameter 2 "and with a pump motor power of 2 kW and the cost required in the recommended pump operation is Rp. 10,000, - every 6 hours of pump operation

Kajian Eksperimental Koefisien Redaman Akustik Bahan Pelapis Plat Dek Kapal: Experimental Study of Acoustic Damping Coefficient of Ship Deck Plate Coating Materials
With the increasingly strict requirements of the ship classification bureau for permissible noise limits to allow passengers and crew to be more comfortable and secure a technical assessment is required to address the characteristics of the noise. A noise beyond the standard allowed in the vessel can be a problem to the ship operators. This noise problem will greatly affects the crews' comfort and passengers. One method to reduce the noise on a ship is to use sound insulation. This paper describes the method for determining the absorption coefficient α and the transmission loss (TL) through an acoustic test of a concrete insulation in the laboratory. The test was conducted by using the method of impedance tube where a speciment response measured by a microphone. In general, the properties of this insulation material remains as the main base material which is concrete. it has been found that the transmission loss value (TL) is in the range of 10 - 50 dB whereas for the base material the concrete is around 22 - 49 dB but the absorption coefficient α of the specimen material is much higher than the material of the base material especially in high frequency, which ranges from 0.15 to 0.97, whereas for concrete base materials have absorbent coefficient α ranges from 0.01 to 0.02
Pendekatan Eksperimen Karakteristik Respon Getaran Sistem Two Degree of Freedom dengan Penambahan Independent Dual Dynamic Vibration Absorber: Experimental Approach to Two Degree of Freedom System Vibration Response Characteristics with the Addition of Independent Dual Dynamic Vibration Absorber
Vibration is one of the problems that must be reduced in a vehicle. There are many ways to reduce vibration in vehicles, one of them is by adding Dynamic vibration absorber (DVA). While Dual Dynamic vibration absorber (dDVA) is a DVA period that is able to move in the translational direction given to the system to reduce translation vibration and when there is resonance. Translation DVA is an additional type of time used to reduce the vibration of the translation direction. So far there is not much research related to the use of translational DVA to reduce rotational vibrations as well as translation. In this study, a study was conducted related to the use of independent double translational DVA (dDVA) to reduce translation vibrations as well as rotation of the beam. The research was conducted by modeling the system obtained into mathematical equations and simulations were carried out to determine the characteristics of vibrations that arise. In the simulation, one of the DVA periods is placed at the center of the main system period, while the other DVA period is given a change between the center period and the end of the system. The results of the study show that the maximum reduction in translational vibration is 95.51% and occurs when the absorber is placed at the center of the system, while the maximum rotation vibration reduction is 56.62% and is obtained when the system is given with an arm ratio of 1 and zero
Sintesis Komposit Kampas Rem Bebas Asbes Berpenguat Serbuk Kulit Singkong: Asbestos Free Brake Pad Composite Synthesis Reinforced Cassava Peel Powder
An agricultural waste production in Indonesia is increasing as well as the growth of agricultural production. This has become a serious problem in Indonesia. A massive waste will have a negative impact on the health of living things. Therefore, this study aims to provide solutions for the utilization of agricultural waste for the needs of the industry in the automotive sector. In addition, the use of agricultural waste, especially cassava peel waste, can be used as a substitute for brake pads in the form of composite reinforced natural fibers. There are two conditions for cassava peel waste, carbonized and uncarbonized. 50,80,100 Mesh particle size of cassava peel powder used. The composition of the ratio of volume fraction between cassava peel powder and composite epoxy resin used are 20:80; 30:70; and 40:60. The results show that variations in the composition of fibers and resins have an impact on wear values. The best wear resistance shown from the added of 20% cassava peel powder in 100 mesh sizes of particle with 0,00061 ± 0,00039
Pengaruh Temperatur dan Waktu Etching Terhadap Karakeristik Fisik dan Mekanik Pelapisan Nikel pada Plastik ABS dengan Metode Elektrolessplating: Effect of Etching Temperature and Time on Physical and Mechanical Characteristics of Nickel Plating on ABS Plastic with Electrolessplating Method
ABS Plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Stiren) is one type of plastic that is often used because of the many properties that are beneficial to humans. ABS plastic is widely used in engineering, for example in the electronics and automotive fields. But there are still disadvantages of ABS plastic, including low hardness, no friction resistance, and no heat resistance, so surface treatment is needed. Electrolessplating is a coating process that does not use electricity in the coating process. This study aims to determine the effect of temperature and time variation of nickel electrolessplating etching on roughness, wear, hardness, and thickness. The variation in etching temperature is 30; 40; 50; 60; and 70oC and the etching time is 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 minutes followed by electrolesplating using nickel for 10 minutes. The tests carried out were surface roughness test, disk on block method wear test, hardness using Shore Durometer tool, and layer thickness using micro photos and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the etching process from electrolyplating affected the specimen surface to be coated with nickel metal. The longer the etching time causes the surface to become coarser from 0.435 μm at 15 minutes to 0.949 μm in 35 minutes. The temperature addition of the etching process will increase the surface surface to a temperature of 50oC at 0.499 μm and then drop. Increasing etching time from 15 minutes to 35 minutes will reduce specific wear, from 1.268 x 10-4 mm2 / kg to 0.465 x 10-4 mm2 / kg. Likewise, the etching temperature from 30oC to 70oC decreases the specific wear from 2.10 x 10-4 mm2 / kg to 0.255 x 10-4 mm2 / kg. The addition of etching and temperature etching time does not significantly increase the hardness value of electrolessplating results. Hardness of raw material is 83.5 shore D after coating the hardness value to 84.7 shore D. The electrolessplating process for 10 minutes produces a layer thickness of 1 μm to 2 μm
