Studying modern physics through a didactic-investigative experiment : the blue sky.
No full textEste trabalho apresenta um experimento didático-investigativo de Física Moderna. Pensamos o experimento a partir do referencial investigativo, baseando-se na problematização e descoberta, em um processo, no qual o aluno é o protagonista, interagindo na construção do próprio conhecimento, facilitando a sua aprendizagem. Neste caso, o professor torna-se alguém que engaja os alunos nas discussões, incentivando-os a participar ativamente das aulas, a refletir, analisar e questionar. Observando peças transparentes, de material birrefringente, iluminados pela luz parcialmente polarizada do céu azul, observamos, em conjunto com um polarizador, padrões coloridos nas peças, a partir do qual podemos inferir o aprendizado de Física Moderna no Ensino Médio. Explicamos o céu azul, a polarização da luz e associamos ao fenômeno da birrefringência. O experimento é de baixo custo, pois precisa de dois componentes e uma câmera digital para registrar imagens.This work presents an experimental inquiry learning of modern physics. We think the experiment from an inquiry approach, based on problematization and discovery, in a process, in which the student is the protagonist, interacting in the construction of his own knowledge, facilitating his learning. In this case, the teacher becomes someone who engages students in discussions, encouraging them to actively participate in classes, reflecting, analyzing and questioning. Seeing transparent pieces, made of birefringent materials, illuminated by partially polarized light from blue sky, anyone could see colored patterns, from it is possible to associate the learning of modern physics in high school. We explain the blue sky, the polarization of light and the birefringence. The experiment is low cost, as it needs two components and a digital camera to record images

No full textEste artigo tem como objetivo analisar sobre a produção da pesquisa em educação, a interconexão com as teorias educacionais e seus desdobramentos na discussão acerca dos Direitos Humanos e sua articulação com a cultura étnico-racial na Educação Básica. Buscamos desenvolver um estudo criterioso acerca das teses e dissertações da Faculdade de Educação/UNICAMP no período de 2010 – 2020 sobre a temática em questão em especial os principais discurso ideológicos que a perpassa. A metodologia levará em conta a pesquisa qualitativa acerca das teorias que congregam a proposta política e pedagógica da ciência da educação. Realizamos a análise documental dos direitos humanos em relação ao direito à educação.This article aims to analyze the production of research in education, the interconnection with educational theories, and its unfolding in the discussion about Human Rights and its articulation with ethno-racial culture in Basic Education. We seek to develop a careful study about the theses and dissertations of the Faculty of Education/UNICAMP in the period 2010 - 2020 on the theme in question, especially the main ideological discourses that permeate it. The methodology will take into account qualitative research about the theories that bring together the political and pedagogical proposal of the science of education. We will carry out a documentary analysis of human rights in relation to the right to education
Gender disparity in engineering courses in Brazil.
No full textAs society advances globally, the pursuit of gender equity transcends geographical borders and maintains its historical significance. This paper examines the persistent underrepresentation of women in STEM fields, with a focus on engineering, both nationally and globally. Using data from the Enade in Brazil from 2004 to 2019, it explores the reasons behind this disparity and the influence of differences in interests between men and women in STEM careers. The study highlights the ongoing male predominance in engineering courses, despite a gradual increase in female participation. It observes gender variations in engineering disciplines and across regions in Brazil, emphasizing the need to enhance female representation. The paper underscores the importance of recognizing gender expectations, stereotypes, and socioeconomic inequalities while promoting the inclusion of all gender identities to create equitable environments. It pro- poses strategies to promote gender equality in STEM, including safe environments, combatting sexism, female leadership, and adjustments to educational policies
ShpStreetGraph : from spatial relations of streets to graph representations.
No full textGraph-based models are relevant tools for analyzing the structure and inherent relationships among spatial entities. Here, we introduce ShpStreetGraph, a software designed to construct geographical graphs using shapefiles, explicitly focusing on street datasets. In this framework, nodes represent streets, and links are geographical relations such as intersections or proximity. The tool provides a range of criteria for network construction, enabling users to model and analyze urban street networks efficiently. ShpStreetGraph has proven to be faster than a similar tool when dealing with large networks, thus evidencing its scalability

No full textEste artigo analisa a newsletter Kids Recap Email, enviada pela Netflix a adultos responsáveis por perfis infantis no serviço de streaming desde 2021. Os dados produzidos sobre hábitos de consumo de minha filha são trabalhados quantitativamente e qualitativamente, de uma perspectiva feminista e decolonial, que articula gênero, mídia e infância. Com base na análise do material, percebo os modos pelos quais a Netflix produz uma feminilidade algorítmica hegemônica e estereotipada, fundada em regimes de visibilidade relacionados à masculinidade que escondem possibilidades do ser-menina; opera um datacolonialismo no qual dados são extraídos e utilizados para gerar riqueza à companhia, por meio da planificação de identidades e apagamento das diferenças; e comete violências midiáticas e tecnológicas contra as infâncias.This paper analyzes the newsletter “Kids Recap Email”, which has been sent by Netflix since 2021 to adults who supervise children’s profiles in the streaming service. The data produced about my daughter’s consumption habits is reviewed quantitatively and qualitatively, from a decolonial feminist perspective, articulating gender, media, and childhood. From the collected and analyzed material, I perceive the ways by which Netflix produces an algorithmic and hegemonic femininity, stereotyped, based on visibility regimes related to masculinity that exclude possibilities of girlhood; operates a kind of data colonialism in which data is extracted and used to generate profit and wealth to the company, from a planification of identities and an erasure of differences; and commits mediatic and technological violence against childhood

No full textThis article is part of an ongoing research project aiming to demonstrate the violation of women’s rights due to violence on their subjectivity when they are inserted into the judicial scene as parties and the impossibility of acting as adversaries, participating in the hearing in such a way as to influence the construction of the judicial decision. The use of aesthetics is a theoretical strategy that aims to demonstrate the errors and deviations of modern procedural rationality, in order to seek a course correction for current abuses of fundamental rights and guarantees. The objective is to propose a new model for the contradictory actions of people involved in the criminal process, whose characteristic is plasticity, understood as a procedural adaptation of procedural documents to allow women to participate in symmetric equality, especially when they are included as victims.Questo articolo fa parte di un progetto di ricerca in corso che mira a dimostrare la violazione dei diritti delle donne a causa della violenza sulla loro soggettività quando sono inserite nella scena giudiziaria come parti e l'impossibilità di agire come avversarie, partecipando all'udienza in modo tale da influenzare la costruzione della decisione giudiziaria. L'uso dell'estetica è una strategia teorica che mira a dimostrare gli errori e le deviazioni della moderna razionalità procedurale, al fine di cercare una correzione di rotta per gli attuali abusi dei diritti e delle garanzie fondamentali. L'obiettivo è quello di proporre un nuovo modello per le azioni contraddittorie delle persone coinvolte nel processo penale, la cui caratteristica è la plasticità, intesa come un adattamento procedurale degli atti processuali per consentire alle donne di partecipare all'uguaglianza simmetrica, soprattutto quando sono incluse come vittime

No full textEste estudo tem como objetivo compreender segmentos e atrativos turísticos por meio de uma me- todologia replicável para outros estados brasileiros, ampliando a compreensão da percepção dos visitantes e facilitando a tomada de decisões por planejadores e gestores de destinos turísticos, as- sim como dando suporte a elaboração de políticas públicas para o setor. A metodologia se desen- volve por meio da aplicação de técnicas de mineração de dados textuais, análise textual estatística e análise de redes em um banco de dados qualitativo de avaliação dos visitantes deixados no TripA- dvisor. São utilizadas informações resultantes de comentários provenientes de mídia social especia- lizada em turismo com vistas a analisar o discurso dos visitantes sobre os atrativos turísticos do Piauí. Estes foram alcançados a partir do uso de Big Data aplicado aos rastros deixados pelos viajan- tes no TripAdvisor, a respeito dos atrativos turísticos. O banco de dados qualitativos foi tratado com o uso de softwares livres voltados à análise textual, tratamento dos dados e análise das redes. Con- clui-se que, a partir dos resultados é possível compreender a demanda turística no Piauí e propor uma metodologia de análise do discurso associada à análise espacial capaz de fundamentar a ges- tão de destinos, atrativos e o desenvolvimento de políticas públicas.This study aims to understand tourist segments and attractions through a replicable methodology for other Brazilian states, expanding the understanding of visitors' perception and facilitating decision- making by planners and managers of tourism destinations, as well as supporting the development of public policies for the sector. The methodology is developed through the application of textual data mining techniques, statistical textual analysis and network analysis in a qualitative database evalu- ating visitors left on TripAdvisor. Information resulting from comments from social media specialized in tourism is used in order to analyze visitors' discourse about Piauí's tourist attractions. These were achieved through the use of Big Data applied to the traces left by travelers on TripAdvisor, regarding tourist attractions. The qualitative database was treated using free software aimed at textual analysis, data processing and network analysis. It is concluded that, based on the results, it is possible to understand tourism demand in Piauí and propose a discourse analysis methodology associated with spatial analysis capable of substantiating the management of destinations, attractions and the de- velopment of public policies

No full textOs movimentos feministas na América Latina vivem um novo momento de efervescência nas redes sociais e nas ruas. A retomada dos protestos contra a violência de gênero e a luta pela legalização do aborto provocaram verdadeiros levantes feministas nos últimos anos. Nesse contexto, surgiu na Argentina, em 2015, o coletivo feminista Ni Una Menos. Com táticas inovadoras e de impacto mobilizador massivo, o grupo iniciou sua atuação a partir de denúncias sobre a violência machista e misógina. Aliando estratégias de uso de redes pelos movimentos sociais a grandes marchas e a criação de laços transnacionais, o Ni Una Menos colocou a violência de gênero no centro do debate na América Latina. O presente artigo visa, dessa forma, apresentar o movimento Ni Una Menos, a partir do seu histórico de atuação e, ainda, analisar suas estratégias, processos de mudança e adaptação dos métodos de ativismo do coletivo, especialmente o digital, além de acompanhar, no momento presente, as mudanças que colocam em risco as conquistas das mulheres no país, e as respostas feministas a estas.Feminist movements in Latin America are experiencing a new moment of effervescence on social networks and in the streets. The resumption of protests against gender violence and the fight to legalize abortion have sparked real feminist uprisings in recent years. In this context, the feminist collective Ni Una Menos emerged in Argentina in 2015. With innovative tactics and a massive mobilizing impact, the group began its work by denouncing sexist and misogynist violence. Combining strategies for the use of networks by social movements with large marches and the creation of transnational links, Ni Una Menos has put gender violence at the center of the debate in Latin America. The aim of this article is to present the Ni Una Menos movement, based on its history of action, and also to analyze its strategies, processes of change and adaptation of the collective’s methods of activism, especially the digital one, as well as to monitor the current changes that are putting women’s achievements in the country at risk, and the feminist responses to them
