This is a pre-experimental research using one-shot case study design that aims to get the description of physics learning outcomes from cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspect of students in Tenth Science-Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sungguminasa Academic Year 2014/2015 after being taught by using worksheet based on local wisdom. The subject in this research were students in class X MIA 5 that consist of 41 people. Descriptive analysis showed that in the realm of cognitive, about 2.44% of students ranked in the "very understanding" category, while 90,24% of students were in the "understanding” category and the remaining 7.32% were in the "quite understanding" category. In affective aspect, there are about 95.12% of students who were in the "good" category and 2.44% were in the "quite good" category. Meanwhile, in psychomotor aspect, “highly skilled” category occur in 7.32% of students, while 73.17% of students were in the "skilled" category and the remaining 19.51% were in the "skilled enough" category. The result indicated that the physics learning achievement of students in the whole three aspects is good. Thus, it can be concluded that learning physics by applying worksheet based on local wisdom is one of the alternative that can be used to maximize the physics learning outcomes of students. Keywords: learning outcome, local wisdom, workshee

Plants in A Square: Explore Plants Description with QR Code Feature

The Indonesia especially South Sulawesi contained the diversity of plant species. The number of species that exist it is necessary to identify each type. To facilitate the identification process, conducted the studyof exploration of plant's description by QR Code feature. QR Code or quick response code, which is a type of two-dimensional bar code contains information that facilitates generating and reading (encoding and decoding) of information on a smartphone. The purpose of this studyto facilitate describing of the plant with the QR Code features. This studylocated in Tope Jawa Coast, Takalar, South Sulawesi, with a descriptive study using survey and identification methods. The results of the study revealed 25 species of plants that have been identified and loaded into a QR Code that can be scanned by smartphone.Key words: Exploration, descriptions of plants, QR Cod

Oldeman Climate Zoning for the Agricultural Area

Knowledge of the climate of a region is needed. One way to get to know the further climate is classified by calculating rainfall. One method to do that is Oldeman method by determining the average number of wet months and dry months later on interpolation and processed automatically in ArcGIS. This classification aims to determine the type of climate conditions based on Oldeman classification and regions spreading on each type of climate types in Soppeng. The results of this study are to map climate types using Oldeman classification system in Soppeng. In order to know the type of climate and Agro-climate zones in the study sites. The attribute value of the determination of the type of climate in the interpolation using kriging method. Data collection techniques are secondary data collection, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were processed and counted then displayed in the form of maps and described systematically. The results showed there are three types of climate B2, C3 and E. Distribution B2 climate includes DonriDonri District and Marioriawa District with an area of distribution of 13%. C3 Climate contained in Citta, Donri-Donri, Lalabata, Lilirilau, Marioriawa and Marioriwawo District with an area of distribution of 43%. E  Climate contained in the District Citta, Donri-donri, Ganra, Lalabata, Liliriaja, Lilirilau, and Marioriwawo with an area of distribution of 44% and there is 24,6 % areas wich conformity between agroclimatic zone and planting frequency. Keywords: Climate Type, Oldeman, Soppeng Regency, Interpolatio

The Development of Student’s Worksheet of Physics Based on Virtual Simulation and Its Influence on Physics Learning Outcomes of Students

Have been conducted the development research of student’s worksheet based on virtual simulation. The aims of this research were (1) to produce a physics students worksheet that was valid; (2) to improve physics learning outcomes of students by applying students worksheet that have been developed. This study was development using 4-D model which is covering define phase, design, develop, and disseminate to produce the student’s worksheet and the method  was pre-experimental with  One Group Pretest-Posttest Design by involving students of XII IPA 1 of SMAN 11 Unggulan Pinrang at 30 people. Physics learning outcomes collected by using choices test form instrument that was taken after students complete the assignments in student’s worksheet. The improvement of learning outcomes of physics evaluated according to the comparison of normalization gain value average, N-gain. The result of this research shows (1) student’s worksheet based on virtual simulation was valid. (2) the result of N-gain percentage to evaluate students shows that the implementation of  student’s worksheet of physics based on e-learning can improve student’s learning outcomes in high level. Keywords: Physics Learning Outcome, Student’s Worksheet, Virtual Simulation

The Effect Of The Methanol Extract Of Cemba's Leaves (Acacia pennata) In Lowering Blood Glucose Levels Of Male Mice (Mus musculus)

The plants Cemba (Acacia pennata ) included is family Leguminoceae, this is plants specific in Enrekang, South Sulawesi. The research to knowing the effect of the methanol extract Cemba to decrease blood glucose levels in mices male ICR strain induced by alloxan. Cemba’s leaf are extracted using 96% methanol by maceration. This research used of randomized design (CRD) that Consist of five treatments and five repetition. The extract was dissolved using Carboxy Methyl Cellulose (CMC) 0.5% and given orally in mice that had been injected previously alloxan 120 mg / kg intraperitoneally. The extract is given different doses: 125, 250 and 500 mg / kg. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using SPSS Program is 2.0 and Followed by Duncan test (α 0:05), as control drugs using glibenclamide 5 mg / kg and normal control using CMC 0.5%. The results showed the methanol extract of leaves with a dose of 250 mg / kg had a most effective to decrease blood glucose levels for 14 days cemba leaf extract. Reviews these results were significantly different with normal control (105.6 mg / dl) and drug control (105.80 mg / dl), as well as groups of mice that were given the leaf extract cemba 150 and 500 mg / mm. Cemba’s leaf extract shows the effect of the decrease in blood glucose levels in mices male. Keywords: Cemba leaf extract, family Leguminoceae, glucose level, district Enrekan

This paper aimed to investigate the impact of gender, parents’ education level, and socio-economic status on students’ mathematics performance. Population of this paper was obtained from PISA 2009 conducted in Turkey. The method used in this study was an independent t-test analysis, Oneway ANOVA, correlation and linear regression. The results of this study revealed that gender differences and mathematics achievement in Turkish students who participated in PISA 2009 are statistically significant but practically is not significant. Parents’ education level of Turkish students in this research has an impact on Turkish students’ mathematics achievements. The most significant difference is found between group ISCED 5A, 6 and none highest education level of parents and practically this difference is significant. The last main point of the result in this study is Index of Economic, Social, and Cultural Status (ESCS) has a positive impact on mathematics achievement. ESCS and mathematics achievement show a positive and linear relationship. ESCS is a significant predictor of mathematics achievements. Keywords: mathematics achievement, gender, parents’ education level, socio-economic statu
