Development of environment-friendly thermosets by means of citric acid and carbon dioxide
論文This study clarifies the importance and usefulness of citric acid-derived 5-membered cyclic carbonate resins (CA-TC) as environment-friendly thermosets. CA-TC resins prepared from citric acid and carbon dioxide were cured with diamine curing reagents, dioxyethylene diamine (DODA), isophorone diamine (IPDA), pentamethylene diamine (PMDA), and m-xylene diamine (mXDA). The thermal and mechanical properties were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and tensile measurement. The adhesion properties of the materials were evaluated by shear strength of metal substrates adhered with the cued resins. The enzymatic degradations of the materials were examined by immersing the cued resin films in enzyme (lipase from porcine pancreas, lipase from rhizopus oryzae, and protease from streptomyces griseus) solutions at 35℃ for 7 days. We found that wide varieties of the cured materials can be obtained and they are prone to be degradable by enzymes, which suggested the high importance and usefulness of CA-TC resins.departmental bulletin pape

Medicinal plants in the genus Arisaema growing in Japan’s three major mountain castles
We investigated the current growth of the medicinal plant in the genus Arisaema in Japan's three major mountain castles (Bicchu Matsuyamajo, Yamato Takatorijo, and Mino Iwamurajo). We observed that Arisaema plants grow in all castle ruins, with A. nambae Kitam. at Matsuyamajo, A. yamatense (Nakai) Nakai at Takatorijo, and A. sugimotoi Nakai at Iwamurajo. These castles were established in the Middle Ages, and after undergoing large renovations, continued to function into the early modern period, so they can be considered in the context of continuity between the medieval and the early modern period. We also listed the presence or absence of Arisaema in medicinal herb gardens operated by samurai, the shogunate, and various feudal domains in the Edo period, and considered the use of Arisaema from the medieval to the early modern period.departmental bulletin pape
The Problem of Solitude in Modern Society
People with solitude problem seem to be rudimentary, but why is this problem discussed in the first place? Is this because of the structure of the modern society? The conclusion is “Yes”, but Solitude itself doesn’t make an obstacle of individual life. The real issue is that some individuals seem to have difficulty coping with the state of solitude. Only with the will to speak to others, or do whatever you want to do something exciting, you can overcome your solitude; in other words, self-confidence. Too much self-consciousness makes those difficulties.departmental bulletin pape
