Masters in production engineering at UFAM: contributions and challenges for the development of production engineering in the state of Amazonas
The Professional Master's in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Amazonas has an important role in the technological, economic, and social development of the northern region. The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel seeks to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the insertion of new masters in the academic environment and the impact on society of the knowledge obtained. In this sense, this article aims to analyze the contributions of the Professional Master's course in Production Engineering at UFAM to the development of the area and its future challenges. To achieve the proposed objective, quantitative and qualitative research was carried out, of a descriptive nature and based on data collected through a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. The results of the research indicate that contributions are generated both for the graduates from the improvement in their professional situation, for the organizations through the researches implemented, and for the academy through terms of partnerships to train these professionals, thus contributing, to local and western Amazon economic and sustainable development
Justice for employee voice: a dimensional analysis
This study aims to put forward whether distributive justice and procedural justice have a direct effect on the behaviour of voice and whether interactional justice has a moderating role on this effect. In order to evaluate the relations between variables, a survey technique is used and data were collected from 173 employees from a marble company in the city of Mugla (Turkey) with a convenience sampling method. In the test of hypotheses, regression analysis is used. The regression analysis was conducted via the Conditional Process Macro for SPSS developed by Andrew F. Hayes. The findings of the research showed that procedural justice affects employee voice positively and interactional justice has a moderating role in this effect. Additionally, as per the findings, it was seen that on the effect of procedural justice on employee voice, different levels of interactional justice have the same directional effect. Theoretical and practical implications were made by considering all the findings
Relationship between influencer marketing and purchase intention: focusing on Vietnamese gen Z consumers
The exploration of social media among Gen Z has promoted the development of influencer marketing in emerging markets. This study aims to determine how influencer marketing would impact Vietnamese Gen Z consumer’s purchase intention. This study employed quantitative research and used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to analyze the data. The data collection process is conducted online with a sample size of 250 Gen Z respondents. The respondents are aware of the impacts of influencer marketing on their purchase intention. The respondents are exposed to influencer marketing on social media and had experiences with online shopping. The study analyzes five factors that would influence Gen Z’s consumer purchase intention: perceived influencers’' credibility (CRE), the relevance between products and customers (RE), the entertainment value of influencers' content (ENT), perceived expertise of influencers (EXP) and peer’s review and recommendation (PEER). This study's findings concluded that 4 out of 5 factors had influenced Gen Z purchase intention: perceived influencers' credibility, the entertainment value of influencers' content, perceived expertise of influencers, and peer's review and recommendation. There is no statistical evidence to conclude that the relevance between products and customers (RE) impacts Vietnamese Gen Z’s consumer purchase intention. Remarkably, peer’s review and recommendation (PEER) is the most vital factor impacting Vietnamese Gen Z's consumer purchase intention. Managerial recommendations are provided to improve influencer marketing's effectiveness on purchase intention among Vietnamese Gen Z consumers
The management of innovation to generate added value in the flexographic processes: a case study in the company suppry etiquetas
The present study has as its theme the management of innovation to generate added value in flexographic processes, being delimited in the analysis of the processes of the company Suppry Etiquetas. It is questioned how innovation management can generate added value in the flexographic processes of the company Suppry Etiquetas. The objective was to understand how innovation management can generate added value in the company's processes. Methodologically, the research was characterized as an exploratory case study, with the data being analyzed qualitatively. Data collection occurred through a literature review in books, magazines, and on site, with a semi-structured interview with the company owner, with the application of a questionnaire containing 7 questions. As main results of the research we highlight that the innovations of processes all of them represented some kind of cost reduction, and implementation of the program 5s, being this very important for the organization of the company. In the innovation of products in addition to the two new products that started to be produced by the company, it is worth mentioning resale items that had an increase of 57,07% in revenue, after the realization of a change of strategy
Motivation impulses customers' online shopping intention via cashback and rewards mobile applications
The field of cashback and rewards applications is still a relatively new platform in the e-commerce platform that has not had many research papers pay attention to. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the factors that contribute to customers' impulsive online purchasing intentions when using cashback and rewards applications (apps) in Ho Chi Minh City. Using the theory of behavioral intention (TRA, TPB, TAM, UTAUT1,2) of Ajzen and Fishbein (1975, 1980), Ajzen (1985, 1991), Davis (1989) and Venkatesh, Thong and Xu (2012), and the Motivation Model - MM of Davis, Bagozzi and Warshaw (1992) as the foundation for proposing a research model, this research was conducted. Thus, six factors influence consumers' online purchasing intentions via cashback and rewards apps: Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Convenience Social Influence, Price Value, Trust, and Perceived Enjoyment. These factors are considered under two aspects: extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. Official quantitative research conducted in Ho Chi Minh City surveyed 220 consumers. According to Cronbach's Alpha, EFA factor analysis, and regression correlation, the six factors that suggest studying consumers' online shopping intentions via cashback and rewards apps in Ho Chi Minh City in the same direction are Price Value, Social Influence, Trust, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Convenience, and Perceived Enjoyment, in order of strength. In general, when factors are classified as intrinsic or extrinsic motivations, research indicates that extrinsic motivations have a greater influence on users' intention for using. Additionally, the research reveals no differences in online shopping intention via cashback and rewards apps based on income or age, but did discover differences based on gender. Since then, proposing some governance implications for Vietnamese online shopping businesses in order to provide solutions for future sales growth. As a result, the company may consider segmenting its users according to gender in order to prioritize the creation of extrinsic influences in addition to intrinsic motivational stimuli. It will effectively promote customers' consumption behavior
Audit of public finances: methodological issues and the case of Ukraine
The paper aims to analyze the methodological issues that exist in the field of public finance audit, and find ways to solve them on the example of Ukraine. The methodological basis of the study is the analysis of scientific publications, regulations, standards; best practices analysis; retrospective analysis of ACU’s performance indicators; content analysis of reports on the results of audits; method of logical generalization and systematization in formulating conclusions and recommendations. The study found that an important role in maintaining the functions of the SAI in society is played not only by the fact of auditing public finances, but also its methodology, including compliance with INTOSAI standards and building confidence in its results. The recommendations concern the need to: conduct financial audits of all major administrators of budget funds in accordance with the requirements of INTOSAI standards; ensure the timeliness of financial audits, the results of which should be published together with the financial statements; assessment of the skills of the ACU’s specialists performing financial audits to plan staff training; revise approaches to the interaction of the ACU’s auditors with internal audit departments to support the development of the internal audit function in the public sector; establish a quality control system according to the requirements of ISSAI 140; revise the approaches to the implementation of public finance reform on the transition to the application of the principle of accrual in accounting. Implementation of the recommendations will strengthen the role of the Accounting Chamber in society by increasing the credibility of its audits and their importance for improving the efficiency of public administration
Motivation for vocational training among fishing industry workers
The article presents the results of training motivation study in the system of labor motivation among the fishing industry employees on the example of fishing trawler employees from LLC "Russian Fish Industry Company" (Vladivostok). The fishing industry was selected due to the high importance of this area for the regional economy development, the large number of employees involved, and because of rapid changes in production technologies that require timely personnel training. The company development strategy is to modernize production and increase labor productivity, which requires the provision of the industry with the personnel motivated to acquire new knowledge and master modern technologies. The study was carried out to identify the features of motivation to train employees as a mechanism for the professional development implementation. The methodological basis of the study was the psychological and sociological approach to the study of the work motive structure and the construction of motivational profiles based on a comparative analysis of the results in the context of age groups and various job categories. The main research method used was the survey of employees, as well as the statistical methods of data processing. Thus, significant differences were established between employees during evaluation the generally accepted motives of work, and their significance was determined; the level of motivation for training and the characteristics of the motivational sphere of the ship personnel were revealed; according to the degree of importance of motives and their severity, the interviewed employees formed motivational profiles, obtained data on the subjective assessment of their qualification level; they studied the factors contributing to the desire for professional development increase. In order to optimize the processes of employee motivation management, it is proposed to use individual approaches to motivate training, and improve training methods. The conclusion is made about the positive influence of changes on the training effectiveness and the activities of employees in general in the motivation system
Implementation of state transport policy: regional aspect
The implementation of the transport strategy is based on the general principles of federal relations and takes into account the peculiarities of social-economic development and transport needs of individual regions of the country. The regional aspects of the transport system of Russia development are directly related to the creation of a network of competitive innovation clusters, new regional centers of economic development, also in the Russian Far East. The tasks of the transport complex development common for Russia, depending on the specific conditions of the social-economic development of the regions, have their own specifics, focus and priorities, which are taken into account when developing the priorities of the state transport policy. The main problem is that it is necessary to form an active position of the state at the new stage of development of the country economy to create the conditions for social-economic development, primarily to improve the quality of transport services, reduce the total costs of society that depend on transport, and increase the competitiveness of the domestic transport system, strengthening the innovative, social and environmental orientation of the transport industry development. At the same time, transport as a backbone element of the economy and investment and innovation demand generator for products should be considered as an independent point of economic growth. The purpose of the article is to analyze the implementation of the state transport policy on the Primorsky Territory within the framework of the activities by the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Primorsky Territory and to identify the main problems and prospects for the development of transport policy main trends in the specified subject of the Russian Federation
Natural fiber for reinforcement in matrix polymeric
The natural fiber market has been growing extraordinarily. Hereupon the current work presents the natural fiber of the periquiteira tree Cochlospermum orinocense of the Amazon forest. The chemical composition, physical aspects, morphology, thermal and mechanical properties of this fiber will be discussed. The thermal stability of the fiber samples was about 200 °C. The decomposition of cellulose and hemicelluloses in the fibers occurred at 300 ºC and above, while the degradation of the fibers happened above 400 °C. This fiber had good specific strength and good binding properties due to their low weight and presence of high cellulose (60.15wt.%), low lignin (12.03wt.%). More pronounced mass loss indicated the degradation of the amorphous regions of the cellulose, and finally reached a peak of approximately 390 °C
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based wireless manufacturing systems, a review
Radio frequency identification (RFID) is one of the most promising technological innovations in order to track and trace products as well as material flow in manufacturing systems. High Frequency (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID systems can track a wide range of products in the part production process via radio waves with level of accuracy and reliability. As a result, quality and transparency of data across the supply chain can be accurately obtained in order to decrease time and cost of part production. Also, process planning and part production scheduling can be modified using the advanced RFID systems in part manufacturing process. Moreover, to decrease the cost of produced parts, material handling systems in the advanced assembly lines can be analyzed and developed by using the RFID. Smart storage systems can increase efficiency in part production systems by providing accurate information from the stored raw materials and products for the production planning systems. To increase efficiency of energy consumption in production processes, energy management systems can be developed by using the RFID-sensor networks. Therefore, smart factories and intelligent manufacturing systems as industry 4.0 can be introduced by using the developed RFID systems in order to provide new generation of part production systems. In this paper, a review of RFID based wireless manufacturing systems is presented and future research works are also suggested. It has been observed that the research filed can be moved forward by reviewing and analyzing recent achievements in the published papers
