    Get PDF
The evaluation of the service quality standard of a telecommunication company using statistical process control (SPC) methods is the main goal of this paper. The study used a dataset collected from January 2018 to November 2019 associated with monthly and weekly customer complaint counts due to the technical services provided by the company. Multiple linear regression models with the count data transformed to a logarithmic scale and Poisson regression models with the original count data detected some significant factors affecting the weekly/monthly complaint counts. In addition, forecasts of future complaint counts based on the statistical models could be of interest for the company to plan the number of technicians in different sectors at different times of the year leading to improvements in the service provided by the telephone company

Supply chain contract selection in the healthcare industry: a hybrid mcdm method in uncertainty environment

    Get PDF
The aim of this research study is to address a critique of how and when a supply chain contract is selected based on critical success factors (CSFs) utilizing stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) and Evaluation by an Area-based Method of ranking (EAMR). This research study ranked supply chain contracts by the EAMR in uncertainty environments, such as when breaking down the health care industry. This is done by providing a theoretical framework for sustainable entrepreneurship in telecommunications industry, focusing on managerial and operational practices that should be modified, in accordance to a set of CSFs identified from experts in fertility hospital. As a novel strategy, in this research, the initial factors of selecting customized Supply Chain Management (SCM) were extracted via a Delphi method along with the EAMR to symbolize a decision matrix that needs primary weights acquired through the SWARA method by hesitant fuzzy number. CSFs for achieving SCM contract selection in fertility hospitals were found to rely on a tripod based on effectiveness, transparency, and accountability that are embedded within the ambit of managerial and operational practices, such as focusing and reducing cost and based on these factors the best SCM contract must be selected. Besides, the EAMR method has more reliability than other similar MCDM methods such as TOPSIS, MOORA, VIKOR, and so on main contribution of this paper is the combination of SWARA, EAMR, and using hesitant fuzzy set in the EAMR method. Finally, the result indicates that hospitals based on these CSFs must be selected contracts

    Get PDF
The construction industry is hazardous and experiences poor health and safety performance records; as a result of the abuse and negligence of health and safety policies. Emphasis is now on health and safety management as health and safety risks are now normalised in the construction industry by the actions of construction SMEs. The study assessed the factors promoting health and safety risks normalisation in the construction industry of Nigeria. The study sampled construction professionals and tradespeople, using a well-structured questionnaire and snowball sampling techniques. With a response rate of 72.61% and a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.916; percentage, frequency, Mann-Whitney U Test and factor analysis were used to analyse the gathered data. It was found that there is a low level of occupational health and safety policies application and performance in the construction industry. The poor health and safety performance is prompted by HS risks normalisation promoted by factors such as misconception of and unwillingness to invest in HS, informal and unstructured HS policies, medical issues and excessive workload, Planning and client unwillingness, management commitment issues, and unorganised HS culture. Also, there was no statistically significant difference in the perceptions of the professionals and the tradespeople regarding 89.29% of the assessed variables. Commitment from the management and leadership of the SMEs and making of health and safety culture an integral part of the functioning of the organisations was thus recommended

    Get PDF
The purpose of the publication is to study the current state of the organization and methods of accounting for the costs of organic production from the point of view of environmental and economic accounting in Ukraine and recommendations for adapting accounting support for managing the costs of production of organic products to the requirements of the formation of integrated information of environmental and economic accounting. To determine the general trends in the development of accounting support for managing the costs of the production of organic products, the methods of induction and deduction were used. The economic and statistical method was used to analyse the state of production of organic products, and the observation method was used to study the state of accounting for the real costs of producing organic food. The state of development of organic production for the period from 2000 to 2019 in the world, Europe and Ukraine has been analysed. It has been determined that at the micro level, in the conditions of organic production, environmental and economic accounting is an information system that allows you to monitor compliance with the requirements of domestic and international legislation regarding the implementation of this type of activity, and, at the next stages, to form consistent and comparable statistical indicators to account for the relationship " links between the environment and the economy. In the absence of regulatory accounting in Ukraine in the conditions of organic production, the formation of internal regulatory accounting regulations is a prerequisite for the effective management of such production. The formed system of cost accounting objects, considering the specifics of technological processes of operators of organic production, will allow organizing a separate accounting of costs for the production of organic products, inorganic products, and products of the transition period. A nomenclature of cost accounting items in terms of production of organic production is proposed, the use of which will make it possible to distinguish in accounting the expenses allowed by legislation in terms of production of organic production from expenses for which there are certain restrictions. The features of the functions of primary documents reflecting the costs of organic production are determined and ways to improve the documentation of production processes are proposed. This will improve the information support for product quality control and will allow adapting the accounting support for managing the production costs of organic products to the requirements of the formation of integrated information on environmental and economic accounting
