Peculiarities of the police officer's profession image in their attitude
Aspects of choosing a profession and career planning are closely related to the description of the features of the image of the profession, otherwise known as the image of the profession. The choice of profession is an essential part of life, which has a significant influence upon the person and their further occupation. Furthermore, the choice of profession and job is related to the satisfaction of financial, social and personal needs. Therefore, it is very important that the choice of profession is as accurate as possible and that the profession evokes a strong feeling of vocation. A career develops accordingly, if a person is satisfied with the job and one’s current expectations meet the current situation, then the career development is successful and thrives as individually sought. For a career to follow a successful developing process it is vital to meticulously systematize the characteristics of a particular profession that would help to decide whether one wants to choose it not. Due to these reasons whilst researching the police officer’s image it is crucial to assess the point of view of current police officers in regard to the officer’s image. Correspondingly, the purpose of the article is evoked - to reveal the perception of police officers of the image of their profession. To achieve it, the concept of choosing a profession is discussed, emphasizing the importance of vocation and the path of professional development - career; the change in the attitude of police officers about the image of their profession and its factors are determined. The hypotheses are confirmed disparately. After an empirical study, the first hypothesis - the average of the respondents' assessment of the current attitude towards the characteristics of the police officer profession is statistically significantly different from the attitude before choosing this profession - was confirmed. The second hypothesis was only partly confirmed. It was revealed that the average assessment of the characteristics of the police profession for both men and women decreases depending on the degree of the police officer

An exploratory study of theories of green marketing and its practices
One business area where environmental issues have received a great deal of discussion in the popular and professional press is marketing. Terms like "Green Marketing" and "Environmental marketing" appear frequently in the popular press. Many governments around the world have also become so concerned about green marketing activities. Attention was drawn to the subject in late1970’s when the American Marketing Association organized a workshop on Ecological Marketing in 1975. Green Marketing has been an important academic research topic since its inception. But at the same time one of the biggest problems with the green marketing area is that there has been little attempt to academically examine environmental or green marketing. Although environmental issues influence all human activities, few academic disciplines have integrated green issues into their literature. The aim of the study was to explore research and real-life examples of green marketing that may help in future empirical research. This paper attempts to examine the concept and evolution of green marketing, identify what makes marketing green. An attempt has also been made to discuss some examples of green marketing practices in Indian context and ascertain the ways to improve consumer appeal for environmentally preferable products through different marketing strategies
Payroll taxes increase reserves in Ukraine
The authors analyzed the reformation of the payroll taxation mechanism in Ukraine, identified wage differences of the employees at the large, medium-sized and small business entities, figured out the reserves to increase tax revenues and cover the deficit of the Pension Fund of Ukraine by decreasing shadow wages and improving payroll taxation in Ukraine. Significant attention is paid to the salaries of the top managers of large business entities as a possible field of applying progressive taxation of personal income. Based on the analysis of the EU countries experience, the authors suggest imposing the second progressive personal income tax rate of 32% for the monthly income that exceeds 15 minimum wages. As well, the abolishment of the maximum unified social contribution base is recommended. In the paper, the authors prove the importance of reducing the level of the shadow economy in Ukraine by forming a public trust to the government policy and using accumulated tax funds appropriately. It has been proved that by reducing the shadowing of the Ukrainian economy to the EU level, the deficit of the Pension Fund of Ukraine can be covered only partially. This fact determines the necessity for Ukraine to ensure economic growth and increase wages
Longitudinal work ability index (wai): a case study with workers in an agricultural research company
The main goal of this study is to describe the variability in work ability over time and to verify the influences of professional and sociodemographic variables. It is a longitudinal study conducted with 148 employees of an agricultural research company in a city located in the countryside of São Paulo state, Brazil. The Work Ability Index (WAI) questionnaire was applied to each individual in the sample in two times: December 2018 and June 2019. Different statistical analyzes of the data were performed using t-Student hypothesis tests for paired data, multiple linear regression models with normal errors, logistic regression models and Bayesian beta regression models assuming dependent WAI measures (the novelty of this study). From the obtained results, it is concluded that the Work Ability Index average decreases over time. Some covariates as education, physical activity, position in the company, number of children and nature of task have some influence on the variability of the WAI. The results of the data analysis show that the most important factor affecting the workers WAI index in both times is physical activity
A simulation-based approach to identify bottlenecks in the bearing manufacturing process
Flexible manufacturing processes improve profitability and competitiveness for the company through an efficient process, with quality in a short time, and contribute to achieving low costs. One of the approaches that have been currently developed to improve the flexible manufacturing process is simulation. Simulation models consist of an assertive and powerful tool in strategic planning. It permits a controlled way of the company's reality so that it was possible to study and analyze the organization's current situation under several circumstances without altering the production's physical environment and involving low costs. Accordingly, this study's primary purpose was to develop a simulation model to verify bottlenecks' existence in the bearing manufacturing process. For this, a case study is presented, and it was used modeling/simulation with Arena Software as a research method. The results showed no bottlenecks in the manufacturing process
Actor-network theory as a method for evaluating the energy sectors
The objective of this article was to evaluate the current utilization of the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as a research method in the energy sector. High impact scientific articles gathered from the ScienceDirect database were analyzed, taking into account the methodological research particularities (in terms of its nature, objective, issue approach, and technical procedures) and the means of data collection and analysis in the light of the ANT method. Few pieces of research in the energy sector were found utilizing ANT as an analysis method. A pattern for the methodological characterization was identified, in which most of the articles approached ANT as a diagnostic, exploratory, qualitative, and analytical method for case studies. Since most of the papers aimed mainly at the reconstruction of past events, data collection was characterized mainly by searching for documents and, whenever possible, by contacting the players who participated in the reconstructed history. The analysis, though, aimed at identifying the participants and the dynamics of their interactions. The ANT method presents immense potential for research in the energy sector since energy systems evolve throughout complex networks, inseverable from environmental, technological, and social, including those of political and economic nature. Still, as yet, in a continually growing development scenario, ANT's utilization may contribute to understanding how these networks evolve and who plays the most crucial role in it
The determinants of variables for the success of business models oriented for sharing: the view of Brazilian consumers
The objective proposed by the present study is to identify the determining factors that make sharing-oriented business to succeed under the Brazilian consumers perspective. The findings bring useful information for companies who are interesting in starting up or to continuous in this type of business and help them to develop appropriated strategy taking advantage of the best opportunities in this new market scenario. The theoretical frame supported two analysis fronts: Factors that motivate consumers inside sharing economy and barriers that bring difficulty to the transactions. As motivational factors, ideological and financial questions were tested. As barriers were studied questions such as legal, technological, social and marketing. The study was supported by a quantitative research conducted in order to test hypothesis about consumer behavior in this kind of business. Around 140 people has answered the survey. The results allow inferring that collaborative consumption, is not a Brazilian behavior yet, but it is a trend and questions involving financial benefits are the ones which most influence the consumers
The effect of demographic, social, and economic characteristics on consumer empowerment in education institutions
Nowadays, consumers are faced with many options for formal educational institutions. To choose the best institution, consumers need to be well educated and well informed. This research aimed to analyze the influence of demographic, social, and economic characteristics toward formal educational institution consumer empowerment. This research used a cross-sectional study of 52 respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The consumer’s empowerment index in this research was 54.34, which was included in the capable category. The result showed that early adult (19-24 years) females who were highly educated and were not having a job with ≤ Rp3,204,551 income per month were the most empowered group of respondents than others. Regression analysis revealed that age influenced the consumer empowerment index. T-test analysis of the consumer empowerment based on characteristics is not significantly different
Partnership success factors: overcoming cultural misfit between tunisian SMEs and their french partners
This paper proposes a conceptual framework to shed light on cultural issues in health crisis between Tunisian Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their French partners. The Critical Success Factors (CSF) of a formalized management of cultural misfit can be considerable for researchers and practitioners: the steps of turning the page of the paradigm of cultural distance and address cultural difference from the point of view of mutual enrichment are worthy of interest. Indeed, the multivariate analysis proposes to go beyond this cultural paradigm to approach the cross-cultural management. Its goal is to formulate paths for reflection and research that will enrich the understanding of the difficulties encountered during the COVID-19 period in the dynamics of bringing together two entities from different national cultures. In order to achieve this objective, the correlational research design by Fey and Denison (2003) was adopted in this survey, using revised measurement scales from this work. This is because correlational research is concerned with studying a problem in order to analyse the relationship between cultural variables. The active consideration of cultural characteristics has a double advantage: it helps to alleviate tensions related to cultural challenges and capitalize on the CSF derived from the diversity of approaches. It proceeds from a detailed study of the cultural characteristics of the two partners, which will serve as a basis for a possible rapprochement in the future
