    ANALISIS KETERAMPILAN GEOMETRI SISWA SMP IT QURROTA A’YUN PALU BERDASARKAN TINGKAT BERPIKIR VAN HILE: Analysis of Geometric Skills of Students at SMP IT Qurrota A'yun Palu Based on van Hiele's Levels of Thinking

    This study is a qualitative research aimed at describing the geometry skills of students at SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu based on van Hiele's levels of geometric thinking. The subjects of this study consisted of two students with geometric thinking abilities at level 0 (visualization) and level 1 (analysis) according to van Hiele. The data in this study were obtained through written tests, interviews, and observations. The results of this study indicate that (1) students with level 0 (visualization) geometric thinking skills were able to meet two out of four visual skills indicators, two out of six verbal skills indicators, two out of four drawing skills indicators, two out of four logical skills indicators, and all four applied skills indicators. (2) Students with level 1 (analysis) geometric thinking skills were able to meet two out of four visual skills indicators, three out of six verbal skills indicators, four out of four drawing skills indicators, three out of four logical skills indicators, and all four applied skills indicators

    This study aims to obtain the profile of mathematical communication ability of MTs Alkhairaat Tondo students in solving set story problems based on self-efficacy. This type of research was descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of 2 students selected from the 22 students in class VIIB of MTs Alkhairaat Tondo who had completed a self-efficacy questionnaire, one student with high self-efficacy and one with low self-efficacy. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The subject with high self-efficacy achieved all three indicators, namely being able to express mathematical ideas verbally and in writing; using mathematical terms, symbols, and structures to model mathematical situations or problems; and understanding, interpreting, and evaluating mathematical ideas both orally and in writing. (2) The subject with low self-efficacy did not achieve all three indicators of mathematical communication skills

    ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PERBANDINGAN BERBALIK NILAI DITINJAU DARI JENIS KELAMIN: Analysis Of Understanding Of The Concept Of Invers Comparison In Terms Of Gender

    This study aimed to describe an analysis of the understanding of the concept of inverse comparison in terms of gender differences. The subjects of this research were 4 students in Class VIII of St Paul's Catholic Middle School, Palu, namely high ability students, male LA and female FA and low ability students, male IY and female MG. This type of research uses case study research with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by giving assignments and interviews. The results of this research show that the ability to understand concepts is grouped based on indicators of concept understanding, namely the ability to restate a concept, the ability to present a concept in the form of a mathematical representation, and the ability to select, utilize and use certain procedures. LA students meet all indicators of concept understanding, FA students meet 2 indicators, IY and MG students are less able to meet all indicators. These results show that male students' conceptual understanding is higher than female students

    This research aims to determine the difference in improving learning outcomes between students taught using the direct learning model and students taught using the Discovery learning model. The research method used was quasi experimental design. The population in this study were class VII students at SMP Negeri 14 Sigi in the even semester 2023/2024 and 2 classes were chosen as experimental research classes. The research was carried out by giving two different treatments to two groups of students. First, experimental class I received teaching using a direct learning model, then experimental class II used a discovery learning model. Data collection was carried out by giving tests to students at the beginning and end of the research. The research results show that there is a significant difference in improving the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the direct learning model and students who are taught using the discovery learning model

    Mathematics and technology will continue to work together to form a system because in building the system requires the application of mathematics. The contribution of mathematics is included in a very large scale in the intervention of technological development in the world. Mathematics itself is related to computers or IT in terms of finding rational logical equations so that they can be translated into computers using programming languages ​​and the relationship in carrying out rational mathematical calculations quickly and accurately. Thus in learning mathematics, the role of technology is needed, some of which function as tools for doing mathematical calculations, creating interesting mathematical learning designs for students, and as a medium for teaching and learning mathematics. One of the uses of technology in learning mathematics is the creation of learning media based on augmented reality technology. In learning, Augmented Reality technology functions as a learning medium that can display virtual objects into the real world. Learning media is very much needed by teachers to help deliver material in a learning process. The purpose of this study is to produce mathematics learning media using android-based augmented reality technology so that students can visualize mathematics learning easily using interactive media. Learning media is developed referring to the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data needed in this study will be collected through classroom observations, questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The media that has been developed will be tested to assess its feasibility and the media is said to be valid if the test results are in the good/feasible category

    This study aims to metacognition of students SMA Karuna Dipa Palu with high, medium and low mathematical abilities in solving problems of arithmetic sequences and series in terms of mathematical abilities. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in class XI IPA at SMA Karuna Dipa Palu in the 2023/2024 academic year with one student each with high, medium and low mathematics abilities. Data collection techniques use written assignments and interviews. This research uses two instruments, namely the main instrument, namely the researcher himself, and supporting instruments, namely written assignment sheets and interview guidelines. Data analysis is carried out through data condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) The metacognition of students with high mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya fulfills all indicators of understanding the problem well even without writing down what is known and asked, planning problem solving, implementing the problem solving plan, and checking the results of problem solving again with Good; (2) the metacognition of students with moderate mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya meets the indicators very satisfactorily, written in detail; (3) the metacognition of students with low mathematical abilities in solving problems by Polya is not good enough in all indicators of understanding the problem, planning problem solving, carrying out problem solving, and checking the results of problem solving

    This research aims to describe the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model that can improve student learning outcomes on line and angle material at MTs Negeri 4 Palu City. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with Kemmis and Mc. Taggart design. This research was conducted in two cycles with 20 students, with two meetings in each cycle that followed the steps of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The results of the study: (1) the results of teacher activity observations in cycle I reached 79.41% with good criteria and in cycle II reached 94.11% with very good criteria. While the observation of student activities in cycle I reached 73.52% with good criteria and in cycle II reached 85.29% with very good criteria. (2) the percentage of classical learning completeness in cycle I was 55% and cycle II reached 75% Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes on line and angle material in class VIIe MTs Negeri 4 Palu City by applying the following phases: (1) class presentation, (2) transition to team/group learning, (3) team study and monitoring, (4) evaluation/test, (5) awarding. &nbsp

    This research aims to describe the problem solving profile of the circumference and circle area of ​​students in Class IX A of SMP Negeri 1 Tinombo in terms of initial abilities. This type of research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive approach based on Polya's problem solving steps. The results of the research show that the problem solving profile of the circumference and area of ​​a circle is for students who have: (1) high initial abilities and medium initial abilities: a) understanding the problem, at this stage students can identify things that are known using statement sentences and things that are asked using question sentences. b) planning problem solving, at this stage students plan solving the problem of the circumference and area of ​​a circle well. c) carry out a problem solving plan, at this stage students can apply problem solving strategies appropriately based on mastery of the circle concept and accuracy in finding solutions to the problems given and students carry out as planned. d) rechecking the answers, at this stage students check the results of their work step by step and recalculate the results obtained. (2) low initial ability: a) understanding the problem, at this stage students can mention things they know and ask questions but cannot understand all the information from the problem given. b) planning problem solving, at this stage students are not able to determine ways or strategies to solve problems. c) carry out a problem solving plan, at this stage students cannot solve the problem given because they have the wrong final answer because they do not use information in the form of things they know correctly so that students have difficulty finding a solution to the problem. d) rechecking answers, at this stage students cannot recheck answers

    The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the mathematical reasoning abilities of grade X students at MAN 1 Parigi in solving SPtLDV problems reviewed from a gender. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects in this study were two grade X MIPA students at MAN 1 Parigi in the even semester of 2022/2023, consisting of one male student and one female student. Data on students' mathematical reasoning abilities were collected using a mathematical reasoning test on the topic of Systems of Linear Inequalities in Two Variables (SPtLDV) and interviews. Based on the analysis obtained, male subjects structured their mathematical problem-solving by using graphs and systems of inequalities to depict the solution area and achieve maximum parking lot revenue. The proof construction by male subjects was more comprehensive in identifying variables, inequalities, and critical points, thus leading to accurate conclusions based on the presentation and arrangement of evidence. Female subjects presented their answers concisely using a system of linear equations without accompanying graphs or verification of extreme points, resulting in less optimal proof construction, which led to less valid conclusions and did not support the objective of the problem effectively. The conclusion from this study is that the mathematical reasoning ability of Class X students at MAN 1 Parigi in solving SPtLDV problems reviewed from a gender perspective, showed that male subjects excelled in mathematical reasoning capabilities compared to female subjects

    This study aims to analyze the creative thinking ability of grade VIII students at the junior high school level in Upper Mori. This research was conducted at SMPN 5 Seatap Mori Atas in the 2023/2024 school year. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques were obtained using test techniques, namely tests of students' creative thinking abilities in the form of description questions on mathematics material with indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. The results of this study indicate that LKT subjects and PRT subjects fulfill four indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration
