Effect of Engine Rotation on Mechanical Water Pump and Microcontroller-Based Electric Water Pump for Liquid-Cooled Motor Engine on Coolant Temperature
A liquid-cooled motor's cooling system is essential in maintaining engine performance. This study compares mechanical and electric water pumps based on microcontrollers to improve cooling efficiency. This study aims to measure the influence of the two types of pumps on engine temperature. This study uses an experimental method, installing the two types on machines with liquid cooling systems. In this study, thermostat components are also used. Measurements are made on the temperature of the coolant at various engine revolutions (RPM). The results showed that the electric water pump significantly affected the temperature of the coolant. At the coolant temperature, the electric water pump with thermostat obtains the highest coolant temperature at 4500 RPM engine speed of 80.6°C, while the mechanical water pump is 84.25°C. In the thermostat-less test, the electric water pump obtained the highest temperature and coolant discharge of 62.75°C, while the mechanical water pump achieved a temperature of 64.88°C
Review of Carbon Fiber Based on Physical and Mechanical Properties in Vehicle Frame
This research aims to assess carbon fibre's physical and mechanical properties and potential use to improve vehicle efficiency. The main focus is to reduce vehicle weight, improve fuel efficiency, and lower carbon emissions. Carbon fibre has a tensile strength of more than 6 GPa, a modulus of elasticity of more than 600 GPa, and a density of 1.8-2.0 g/cm³. Its use in vehicles can reduce weight by 86%, improve fuel efficiency by 20%, and significantly reduce carbon emissions. The carbon fibre sandwich composite structure with an aluminium honeycomb core increases strength and reduces weight by 36%. Carbon fibre also improves the vehicle's rollover resistance by 64% and energy absorption by 60%. However, high manufacturing costs are a major challenge, with precursor materials such as polyacrylonitrile (PAN) accounting for about 50% of the cost. Biomass-based alternatives, such as lignin and agricultural waste, can reduce costs, although they require further development. Research shows that integrating recycled carbon fibre in metal-polymer hybrid structures can reduce vehicle weight by 48% and improve structural performance. This research emphasizes the importance of manufacturing innovation and the exploration of alternative materials to maximize the utilization of carbon fibre
The Effect of Tax Relief Regulations on Dividend Policy of Publicly Listed Companies in Indonesia
This study aims to analyze the impact of tax relief regulations, effective since 2021, on the dividend policies of publicly listed companies in Indonesia. We use panel data covering a three-year period before and after the implementation of the tax relief. This study uses a total of 413 listed companies, resulting in 2489 observations over the six-year research period. Logit regression and fixed-effect regression analyses are employed to identify the effects on the number of companies distributing dividends and the total dividends distributed, with firm-specific characteristics used as control variables. The logit regression results indicate that tax relief does not lead to a significant increase in the number of companies distributing dividends. However, there is a significant increase in the dividend levels among dividend-paying companies. To further encourage dividend distribution, the government can optimize existing regulations by considering criteria for tax relief eligibility based on dividend distribution activities. These findings can also serve as a consideration for investors when constructing their portfolios and for companies when designing dividend policies
The Substance of Indonesian Women Directors in Creating Value
This paper aims to provide insight into the impact of the existence of female directors in the board of directors on firm value by taking into consideration the educational level and tenure of women directors in the governance of Indonesia’s companies. The hypotheses are tested on 177 Indonesian listed companies in the IDX between 2015-2020, manufacturing and retail industries, using the weighted least squares regressions. The evidence conveys that the educational level rather than the simple presence of women directors can increase firm value. Additionally, results reveal that the tenure of women is negatively related to firm value, as it might impair the board's independence. This study explores the potential of women on board through their educational level and tenure in the firms. Future studies may expand to include factors such as family background, reputation, and other personal or professional elements that can enhance women's performance in companies. Few studies have addressed the impact of women across different industries, especially in developing economies. This research contributes by examining the demographic variables of women board members that are still poorly apprehended (i.e. their educational level and tenure) in such a setting
INFORMATION INTEGRITY AND ELECTORAL CHOICES: UNDERSTANDING THE DYNAMIC OF NEWS, POLITICAL BRANDING, AND VOTING INTENTION
This study explores the relationship between news truthfulness, news credibility, source credibility, political brand trust, political brand image, and voting intention. The objective of this study is to understand how those factors collectively influence voters' perception and behavior. Using a quantitative approach, the data was collected through online surveys of 250 eligible voters in Indonesia, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that news truthfulness significantly increases both political brand trust and image. Meanwhile, source credibility positively influences trust, but does not notably affect brand image. Interestingly, news credibility increases political brand image without directly affecting trust. Furthermore, political brand image plays an important role in shaping voting intention, whereas political brand trust does not show a direct effect. By integrating those dimensions of political branding into one model, this study fills the gap in existing research and provides insights into the dynamics of voter behavior. This study suggests that political entities prioritize maintaining news truthfulness and the improvement of source credibility to build trust and create a positive brand image. Additionally political campaigns should adapt their communication strategies so that it is in line with the voter’s expectation in this complex media landscape for effective engagement and influence on electoral outcomes
HARNESSING ENTREPRENEURIAL BRICOLAGE FOR MSME’S SUCCESS: INNOVATION AND ADAPTATION AT TANJUNG PENYU BEACH
This study explores the role of bricolage as a strategic mechanism in the entrepreneurial success of MSMEs at Tanjung Penyu Beach, Malang, which has transformed from an agricultural area into a tourist destination. This research addresses a gap in the literature, which has paid limited attention to the application of bricolage in the context of land-use changes and MSMEs adaptation in the tourism sector of developing countries. Most previous studies have focused on bricolage in the context of technological innovation or large-scale businesses, while its role in supporting MSMEs adaptation in resource-constrained regions remains underexplored. Using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, this research identifies how MSMEs in the region creatively utilize local resources following the conversion of agricultural land into a tourism site, providing opportunities for farmers to adapt to environmental changes. This research introduces new insights into how bricolage can be used as a flexible adaptation strategy to address changes in the business environment in developing coastal areas. The findings indicate that bricolage techniques enhance product innovation, leverage social networks, and create new value for MSMEs. However, a major challenge is the promotional strategy, which remains limited to local media, hindering the potential to attract more visitors. The study aims to provide new perspectives on how bricolage techniques can help MSMEs overcome resource constraints, innovate, and capitalize on opportunities in a dynamic context. This study offers insights into how bricolage can help overcome resource constraints and adapt to market changes, highlighting the need for more effective digital promotion strategies to enhance the appeal of Tanjung Penyu Beach as a tourist destination and maximize the success of MSMEs in the area
Trust and Tax Morale: The Role of Governance Quality, Institutional, Media Campaigns
Institutional theory posits that the interaction of governance quality and institutional factors within both organizational and societal contexts shapes tax morale. Trust plays a key role at both interpersonal and institutional levels, enhancing tax morale and compliance. In today’s information age, the media significantly influences opinions and norms related to tax ethics. This study explores the mediating role of trust between governance quality and institutional determinants of tax morale, while also examining the moderating effect of media campaigns on this relationship, filling a gap in the literature. Using a survey of 418 individual taxpayers, the study finds that trust significantly mediates the effects of governance quality and institutional factors on tax morale. However, media campaigns show limited effectiveness in moderating the impact of trust on tax morale. These findings emphasize the importance of trust in shaping tax morale and highlight its potential as a strategic tool for enhancing tax compliance and ethical tax behavior
