Study of Perception and Attitude towards Eco-Friendly Concerns of Indonesian Cosmetics Consumers
Abstract.Background: In Indonesia, the demand for cosmetics is soon to arise further over the coming years. Claims are that there has been an average annual increase of 9.67% of the years 2010-2015. A global phenomenon in business also has shown that cosmetics companies are shifting towards green movement and sustainability. 64% of Indonesian consumers are said to be prepared to spend extra for products and services that come from companies that represent eco-friendly practices.Methods: An online questionnaire was distributed to 384 respondents, all female inhabitants of Jakarta and Bandung between the ages 16-50, by non-probability purposive sampling. The data was analyzed using factor analysis, multiple linear regression, MANOVA and cluster analyses.Results: Perceived importance of green corporate practices and green marketing mix has influence towards attitude towards green values. A six cluster-solution was identified by variables influenced by Ottman’s deep-green sub-segments and attitude towards green values.Conclusion: This study focuses mainly on perceived importance and attitude towards green marketing of cosmetics consumers in Indonesia, providing information of segmentation, perception and attitude to impact businesses embarking green marketing as the holistic concept of their business processes. Keywords: Cosmetics, Consumer Attitude, Consumer Perception, Green Marketing, Ottman’s Deep Green Sub-Segment
Supply Chain Management at Cattle Feedlot Company PT Agrisatwa Jaya kencana by using Soft Systems Methodology
Abstract. In recent years, the prices of beef in Indonesia keep rising and never went down to the formerly prices. These situations happen caused by high demand from the society while the domestic cattle supply is insufficient. As the implication, the price of beef in the market is soaring. Many factors that make this situation happens, there are inadequate supply facilities, lack of knowledge about breeding, inadequate breeding technology and also quota import regulation. Quota import regulation is one of government program to realizing Beef Self-Sufficiency Program in 2014 (PSDS/2014). The purpose is to increasing the amount of domestic cattle and reduces the number of cattle import. Methodology that used to do this research is soft systems methodology. Data collection gathered from primary and secondary data. Primary data are taken by interviewing employees, observation and document collection related to PT Agrisatwa Jaya Kencana. Secondary data are gathered from website of ministry of agriculture, ministry of trade, secretariat cabinet of Indonesia, Gabungan Pelaku Usaha Peternakan Sapi Potong Indonesia (GAPUSPINDO), Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and databoks. According to analysis that has been done, quota import regulation that implement on 2014 inflict to reduction number of cattle import PT Agrisatwa Jaya Kencana on 2015. It makes the company have to prepare strategies to face this situation. Some of company strategies are by non-activated temporary workers and searching for local cattle to safe the stock. This research offered four desirable and feasible improvements to increase effectiveness of company performance. The Influence of Service and E-Service Quality to Repurchase Intention the Mediating Role of Customer Satisfaction. Case Study: Online Transportation by Go-Jek Indonesia
Abstract. Repurchase intention in the business world becomes critical to increasing the company\u27s revenue. One of them is by improving the service quality which impacts on improving customer satisfaction and repurchase intention by customers. This study examined the relationship between the influence of the service quality and e-services quality toward repurchase with customer satisfaction as the intermediate variable. This research especially examines Go-Ride service from Go-Jek Indonesia in Java with the number of respondents of 415 respondents were obtained through a questionnaire. Data analyzed with multilinear regression and path analysis with classical assumption test. This study found that simultaneous or partially perceived service quality, perceived e-service quality, and customer satisfaction has a significant relationship to repurchase intention that determined with sig <0.005. The magnitude of the effect of service quality towards repurchase intention is 0.075, e-service quality 0.569, customer satisfaction towards repurchase intention is 0.74. Ths study found that customer satisfaction has an important effect to increase the repurchase intention pf Go-Ride by Go-Jek Indonesia. Keywords: service quality, e-service quality, customer satisfaction, repurchase intentio
The Dominant Factors of Employee Turnover Case Study: ABC Hotel
Abstract.The hospitality industry is one of industry that focuses on the quality of human resource. In order to provide the good service, the hospitality industry needs qualified human resources. This is because the hospitality industry fully oriented to customer’s satisfaction. The success of the hospitality industry can be seen from customer’s satisfaction through the services provided by the hotel. However, there is one problems faced by hospitality, there is the employee turnover. One of the hotels who experienced the employee turnover is ABC Hotel. The impact that felt because of the employee turnover are disrupting the operational of the hotel and also causing losses for the cost, time and a decrease in production and services. The questions and the purpose of this research is to determine the significant factors of the employee turnover at ABC Hotel. Referring to the concept of Santhanam et.al (2015). There are six factors about the employee turnover in hospitality industry. Those are recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, career growth opportunities, and salary & benefit. After determining the significant factors of the employee turnover at ABC Hotel, the purpose of this research is to reduce employee turnover at ABC Hotel. The researcher distributed the questionnaire to all employees of ABC Hotel and obtained 64 respondents. The results of the questionnaire collecting were processed by using binary logistic regression as a tool of data processing and analysis. Assesing Customer Acceptance Toward Intention to Use e-Toll Card Using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)
Abstrac. At this time, the utilization of Electronic payment has become one of the most frequently used as the payment method. Electronic payment give the benefit of ease and convenience transaction for the customer. In Indonesia, cashless payment reach into 31% from all consumer method and Indonesia classified as the country just begun to move into electronic money. This condition supported by government policy to diminish cash transaction by using electronic payment. Electronic Toll Card as the product of electronic payment applied in transportation sector. However, at this time, most of toll road user still use cash payment. The purpose of this research is to assessing the toll road user acceptance toward intention to use of electronic toll card. The consumer acceptance is important aspect to make the consumer using the product. In this research, Technology Acceptance Model use as the research framework to understand consumer acceptance. The research was using 5 main construct including self-efficacy, perceive usefulness, perceive ease of use, attitude toward use, and intention to use. The construct was based on the previous research of TAM and electronic payment. The results of this research shows all of the variables are significant relationship between each of variable with significant value is 0.000. Perceive usefulness is strongest variable to affect intention to use which account 0.598.Keywords: Consumer behavior, Intention to use, Technology Acceptance Model
Performance Evaluation on PDAM Tirtawening of bandung City Based on Balanced Scorecard Method
Abstract— Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Tirtawening is a local company engaged in the provision of drinking water in the Bandung city. PDAM Tirtawening has not used any method to evaluate their company’s performance.The aim of this study is to design a performance monitoring and evaluate the performance of PDAM Tirtawening from 2011 to 2013 using the Balanced Scorecard method to propose the alternative strategy for them. Results from this study indicate that the performance of PDAM Tirtawening based on the Balanced Scorecard method is bad and under perform. Financial perspective performance have low revenue and not good recording system. The performance of the customer\u27s perspective in general has been good but its targets too low. In the internal business process perspective, the production and distribution is not efficient and effective. In the perspective of learning and growth have no plan for employee quality growth. Factors Influencing Costumers Buying Intention for Housing Unit in Depok
Abtract. Housing demand and supply in Jakarta is not balanced with the situation in greater demand. This makes the price of land rises. For those who can not afford to buy a home should choose to live in cities buffers such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. Data indicate if Depok has the lowest land prices and the most to be the target, buyers. To take advantage of these opportunities, housing developers must know the characteristics of prospective homebuyers in Depok. This research will seek consumer behavior in buying a home in Depok.The basis of this study using input phase and the phase of the process. Input phase consists of marketing efforts by companies and social state of the environment. In the marketing efforts include marketing mix (4P) and the state of the state of the social environment includes influential people in buying property. In the phase of the process consists of awareness needs, information search, and evaluation options. The research will use questionnaires Both will be asked to use a Likert scale and with a nominal cross-sectional method. Once the data is collected, the data will be analyzed using descriptive analysis. Results indicate if the personal decision as important as the decision of the couple. They buy because of the urgent decision to stay. The sources of information used are the newspapers, the Internet, friends, and exhibition. Strategic Assessment of Indonesian Furniture Industry
Abstract. Indonesian furniture industry is known to be one of the most respective industry within Indonesia. Michael Porter introduce the theory of Diamond Model of a country competitiveness that includes 4 different aspects, which are firms structure, demand condition, supporting industry, and factor condition. Through This research author analyze the current industry condition of Indonesian furniture industry combined with the stakeholder analysis in order to determine the industry’s stakeholders. The research has an objective to give clear figure of the current industry conditions and steps that recommended in order to develop the current industry. The research is held in cooperation that involve 8 interviews with furniture companies from different sub-sectors with the validation methods of triangulation to draw the repetitive results from correspondents. The result of this research reveals Indonesian furniture industry is still lack behind in several points. The home demand condition that currently growing with the low interest of home-made products combined with the international brand penetration, decreased the internationalization power of Indonesian market. The findings urge the Indonesian furniture industry to develop its’ business process to be more adaptive and responsive to market and strengthen the current domestic market
Comparative Analysis of Business Model Innovation in Indonesian Records Label. Case: Trinity Optima Production and Music Factory Indonesia
Abstract - In the past few years, records label was facing changes in the music industry that includes opportunities and threat. The opportunities are the rise of digital music that brings out several new product formats, also the partnership with partners to create new platform. Records label also faced the piracy issue as the main threat, which caused great loses to their profit. Therefore, records label, especially in Indonesia, needs innovation in their business model to overcome those changes in music industry structure.This research used the qualitative data research method by using semi-structured interview and secondary data. The respondents in the interview were the member of Trinity Oprima Production and Music Factory Indonesia, especially the business development and digital team. This research revealed the business model canvas, the innovation process and the result of business model innovation implementation. The innovation process shows that both company have initial and existing innovation that have different phases. They was succeed as shown from the result that is measured from the sales unit, margin, and complexity of innovation. By the result of this research, both companies are suggested to have a deep understanding of their business model and make a mapping for the company and partner potential and capability with also evaluate the readiness of the market to accept innovations. Records label also suggested to apply the 360 degrees business model, adaptive to changes and communicate with the partners to create innovations. Effective Marketing System for Fine Art Artist in Indonesia
The research of “Effective Marketing System for Fine Art Artist in Indonesia†aims to give recommendation about the effective marketing system for fine art artist in Indonesia since a lot of Indonesian fine art artists do not have and use effective marketing system when market their artwork to the market. The empirical part of this study was conducted in June 2015 in Jakarta and Bandung area. The subject of this study were Indonesian fine art artists and gallery/art management and the research was done by using narrative analysis. This type of analysis produces strategies to inform the conduct, interpretation and presentation of interview talk, and encourages and enables researcher to take account of research participants’ own evaluations (Janine L Wiles et.al, 2004), which is very suitable with the conducted data collection method. On the basis of the result of this research, it is proved that Indonesian fine art artists do meet some difficulties especially because they do not have proper knowledge about artwork pricing system and marketing. The study resulted that understand market’s need and social media usage are the effective marketing for Indonesian fine art artist. The study offers all Indonesian fine art artist an effective marketing system, which hopefully can help them in building better art appreciation in the market and make more contribution to Indonesia’s economy. Keywords:Fine Art Artist, Effective Marketing, Marketing System, Indonesi
