    Analyzing Student Representative of ITB Consultative Assembly Engagement Related to Leadership Style

    Leadership is one of the key determinants associated with the success or failure of any organization. Many organizations believe that many factors influence level of engagement in an organization, but this study has focused on specific factor, namely leadership style. Researcher interested to analyze the student representative of ITB Consultative assembly engagement related to leadership style. The purpose of this study was to find the relationship and significant relationship between transformational and transactional leadership style to member engagement. Data was obtained through the combined distribution of two the questionnaires. The multifactor leadership questionnaire, used to measure transformational and transactional leadership, and the Gallup Q12, used to measure the member engagement. In this study, researcher used multiple regression analysis method for the statistical analysis. Total respondents for this research are 75 respondents. The result of this analysis shown that transformational and transactional has positive relationship and significant relationship to the member engagement. This study recommends that leaders can improving the transformational and transactional leadership style to increase their attitude in encouraged, gives support and appreciate, and motivated to the member. Thus, the member can be actively engaged in their work

    Abstract. Nowadays, in the globalization era, millennials are the largest generation that occupying several roles in the company. Millennial employees have become a problem for almost companies because most of them have a hard to retain Millennials in the company. Millennial employees will leave their jobs if they are feel depressed and unhappy with their work. One of the important things to keep Millennial employees in the company is happiness at work. Psychosocial factors are elements that influence employees\u27 happiness response to working conditions, which can potentially cause psychological health. This study analyzed the correlation between psychosocial factors and happiness. There are 10 psychosocial factor analyzed in this research. The data of this research has been collected by using descriptive statistics and Moderated Linear Regression method for statistical analytics. The result of this research shows that sense of community is experiencing psychosocial factors and that has a positive impact among other psychosocial factors. The happiness index level in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia Head Office in average is in Medium Level with 72,3%. And the most correlated psychosocial factor for happiness in millennial workers is organizational justice. It can be concluded that psychosocial factors have a correlation with the level of happiness for millennial workers at PT.     Designing Performance Appraisal to Improve Employee Performance

    Coffee consumption is growing fast among Indonesian market throughout the period of 2016-2021 is predicted to grow an average of 8.22% / year. Kozi Budara is one of place that serve Indonesian Coffee. Since Kozi Budara operate in service industry, employee is vital part to retain quality of service. Kozi Budara experiencing declining of employee performance for past month. This problem happen because of bias judgement when owner appraising employee. This study aims to design ideal performance appraisal system to increase employee performance. Graphic rating scale method will be used in this study. To design ideal performance appraisal, this research analyzed job analysis to standardize the employee performance.     Implementation of information technology is essential for the company, because it can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the company performance. In the era of massive technology development, businesses are in a race to retain customer loyalty and attract potential customers by applying an appropriate technology within their business process. In this study, the researcher is eager to describe how the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) business survive by the assist of technology so called the Point of Sale (POS) system. Recently the POS has evolved as one of the financial technology (Fin-Tech) that’s becoming very essential in order to support its activity in a quick and integrate work process. The POS has the basic function of record transaction, but unlike conventional cash register, it is now having the capability of storing data in cloud-server that integrate all the aspects within a business environments starting from payment and even supplier management. The researcher then tried to recognize the factors that significantly affect the technology adoption applying the UTAUT research model that consists of four determinant variables of performance expectancy (PE), Effort Expectancy (EE), Social Influence (SI), and Facilitating conditions (FC) all as latent variables that could affect the Behavioral Intention (BI) of the technology. The later finding then reveals that how the performance expectancy (PE) and social influence (SI) drive the intention of the cloud-based system through Partial Least Square (PLS) statistical method using SmartPLS 3.0. In addition, the research also elaborates the features of existing cloud-based POS providers in the country and compare their functional features and how they could deliver or introduce it to the market and increase their user volume. The comparison matrix of the five POS providers eventually reveals that a completeness of features does not significantly affect the business preference

    Batik is a traditionally cloth and also used in traditional matra, has a variety of decorative patterns and patterns that make use of dye technique with batik wax as a material of color barrier with a variety of distinctive ornamental patterns. One of company batik producers nationally known in foreign countries is Batik Komar Batik Komar was founded in 1998 by Dr. Komarudin Kudiya, M.Ds and his wife, Hj. Nuryanti Widya (Yeyen) In Bandung. As a well-known batik company, Batik Komar definately carries out its social responsibility through CSR program. Researcher saw that the CSR Komar program greatly helped the development of Cirebon batik industry in particular. Researcher sees that this phenomenon has an opportunity to help improve the development of the batik industry in general, where companies and actors in the batik industry in general have not been able to implement CSR programs that can provide significant benefits to related industries. The researcher will conduct the research through data from secondary data, in-depth interview, and Forum Discussion Group. The data analysis will use Stakeholder identification, Stakes, Opportunities and Challenges, Responsibility Matrix, and Mapping Process. The result of this research is that several CSR Programs which has been conducted influenced several relevant stakeholders, but evaluation and adjustments still have to be conducted to several CSR Programs.     Competitive analysis on Indonesian reptile industry based on porter 5 forces

    Reptile hobbies in Indonesia\u27s growth more significant from time to time. According to Tribunnews.com, the potency of the pet industry in Indonesia could grow to 7,1 % in 2020. With the dynamic and broad market, how is the industry competitive level based on Porter Five Forces analysis and what strategy needs to enter and survive in the industry? Respondents in this study are experts that already in the industry for more than 3 years and have profits more than IDR 10,000,000,- . All of the factors obtained through the respondent will be linked to five Porter Forces theory. The result shows that 4 out of 5 of the forces is high, so it can be concluded that the competitiveness level on Indonesian reptile industry is high. The strategy is obtained from some factors that affecting the forces level on Porter five forces analysis, by linked to SWOT analysis, and reviewed with Porter generic strategy, Focus Differentiation strategy is chosen as the best strategy to enter and survive in the market. This study has a goal to find the best strategy to enter the industry. Hopefully, by seeing this study, entrants can gain a higher rate of succession on the Indonesian reptile industry

    Company ABC is a private company that working the fast-food sector based in Bandung. The issues occur when the company does not have a good internal management system, implementation of hands-on management style and unclear vision, mission and formulated job description which indicates the organization ineffectivess. This research applied project demonstrated the utilization of the action research model through assessment the problem diagnosis and intervention. The assessment of organizational effectiveness using the star model analysis which assessed five fundamental things in the company which are strategy, structure, reward, process, and people. After identifying organization effectiveness, researcher finds out that the organization hasn’t performed effectively because there’re still many improvements need to be applied. The improvement proposed by designing intervention through transformational change which focus on basic character of organization. In the transformational change, the author will focus on the organization design which configures the organization’s strategy, structure, work design and human resources practices.     The Correlation Between Work Environment And Employee\u27s Job Satisfaction Among Generation Z

    Work Environment is one of the variables that impact to job satisfaction. Working conditions clearly have represented a component of job satisfaction (Sundstrom,1986). The work environment is where work is done, this can be seen as a combination of physical, virtual and social environments (Roth, Niemi, Lindholm and Loma, 2010).The appropriate work environment can fulfill employee job satisfaction will also depend on the type of employee itself. One of the type of employee is based on generation. The newest generation workers now is Generation Z. Generation Z working in Indonesia is 16,140,025 peoples and this shows great assets in the workforce. This research will examine the correlation of work environment with generation Z employee’s job satisfaction. Based on the test result, the author found that generation Z employee job satisfaction level distributed from low to high. All of variable of current work environment in this research have positive correlation with job satisfaction with all the result of significant score are more than 0.005 and the variable that have more dominant impact to job satisfaction is virtual work environment with score of pearson correlation 0.581.Keyword: physical work environment, social work environment, virtual work environment, employee job satisfaction, generation Z   

    Balancing Roles: A Study of Work-Family Spillover among Working Mothers in Jakarta

    There is still an underlying perceptions regarding women role. In Indonesia, women are often assume as a back friend which means women are subordinate of men. In context of working, women are expected to do the household chores while men are working. However, women participation rate as worker in Jakarta is increasing rapidly from time to time making women have multiple roles; being a mother and a worker. This research will examine the effect of these roles whether it brings a positive or negative effect using the approach of spillover namely work-family positive spillover, work-family negative spillover, family-work positive spillover and family-work negative spillover. The data is obtained through a questionnaire answered by 212 working mothers in Jakarta. The four dimensions of work-family spillover have a significant value to dual role (role gratification and role strain) in Pearson correlation at the level of 0,01 and 0,05. Later, researcher further the analysis by conducting multiple linear regression and found that family-work spillover has an influence to the role gratification and role strain experienced by working mothers in work domain. In contrary, the work-family spillover is highly favored in role gratification rather than role strain. From the analysis, it is found that family-work domain is an important role in the work-family interface

    Identifying Major Factors That Motivate Students Volunteer In A Non-Profit Organization: A Case Study At PAS-ITB (Pembinaan Anak-Anak Salman - Institut Teknologi Bandung)

    Pembinaan Anak-Anak Salman - Institut Teknologi Bandung – also known as PAS-ITB – is one of many nonprofit organizations in Bandung. PAS-ITB has established in 1982 and engaged in the field related to children education. Since 10 years after it was formed, PAS-ITB cannot accept all participants because it considers that participation from volunteers is still lacking. It can be seen from the less interest and high turnover. For this research, researcher uses the qualitative research method which data is gained through a semi-structured interview and participative observation. The result will be analyzed using coding method. The interview was done by interviewing 15 informants that consist of active members, alumnus, and ex- members. Researcher use motivation factors in non profit organization as the framework of the interview. The factors that influence to increase member motivation are altruism, egoism, reward, social relationship, leisure, and career development. The research, proven that six of the motivation factors in non profit organization exist in PAS-ITB. This research also found new factors that influence member motivation to join non profit organization, especially in PAS-ITB. These factors are belief, creative environment, leadership style, manage organization, motivated environment, organization rule, and distance. After the researcher interpreted the data, it can know that the dominant factors that influence member motivation in PAS-ITB are egoistic motivation, social relationship motivation, career development motivation, leisure motivation and organization rule. By known the dominant factors that influence motivation in PAS-ITB, directors can make programs that support member needs as their factors
