    Abstract.Snowball throwing is one of the cooperative learning methods. Snowball throwing is packed in the game with simple rules that are easy to apply in learning mathematics.This research is a classroom action research which is purposed to reduce errors in solving quadratic equations with cooperative learning type snowball throwing. The subject of the research is the students of X AP 3 grade SMK Negeri 1 Jember in the academic year 2012/2013. The data which is collected by using observation, interview, and test method. The results of the research showed an increasing in student activity, namely 74.67% in the first cycle and 80.63% in the second cycle. The total percentage of errors decreased, namely 70.18% in the preliminary test, 45.28% in the first cycle test, and 11.83% in second cycle test. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that cooperative learning type snowball throwing can increase the learning activity, reduce errors in solving quadratic equations, and decrease percentage of errors.     Abstract.The purpose of hypnoteaching method isto make the learning proses more effective and improve the focus of students. This method is also suitable to reduce the student’s mistake in solving problem of cube and cuboid topic. The research subject is VIII-F students of SMP Negeri 7 Jember. The data collection method used in this research isinterview, documentation, observation, and test. The research observed the activity of the teachers and the students. The result shows that the activity of the teachers and the students are significantly increasing.     Abstract. One of the factors that caused students less comprehension to subject material is students were not guided to find the concepts of taught material. During this time, most of the teachers more used Classical Learning by using Tutorial Method and Cooperative Learning Model that only applied Discussion and Question Answer Method without guided the students to find the concepts of the taught material. Experiential Learning model is one of the learning model that can be used to overcome the problem. This learning model consists of four steps. The steps are Concrete Experience (CE), Reflection Observation (RO), Abstract Conceptualization (AC), and Active Experimentation (AE). This research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) used two cycles. Every cycle consists of twice learning and once test in the last. The research that had been done in SMP Salafiyah Miftahul Huda Jenggawah Jember showed that the students learning achievement on Circle Elements theme used the implementation of Experiential Learning Model got increased.     Abstrak. Model sistem kekebalan tubuh terhadap infeksi Mycobacterium tuberculosis telah dikembangkan dan dikemas dalam bentuk sistem persamaan diferensial biasa non linier order satu. Model tersebut sangat komplek sehingga memerlukan metode numeric untuk menyelesaikannya. Salah satu metode numerik yang yang efektif adalah metode Runge-Kutta. Penelitian ini akan merumuskan formula metode Runge-Kutta order sembilan, dan menentukan sifat dari metode tersebut sebelum merumuskannya, serta menganalisis konvergensi dan efektivitas dari metode Runge-Kutta order sembilan bila dibandingkan dengan metode Adam Bashforth-Moulton order sembilan. Metode dikatakan efektif dan efisien bila error yang terjadi pada metode dalam menyelesaikan model semakin kecil (menuju nol) dan waktu yang dibutuhkan metode untuk menyelesaikan model matematika semakin sedikit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Runge-Kutta order sembilan lebih efisien dan efektif dibandingkan metode Adam Bashforth-Moulton order sembilan dalam menyelesaikan model sistem kekebalan tubuh terhadap infeksi Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Kata kunci : Metode Runge-Kutta order sembilan, konvergensi, efektivitas, model sistem kekebalan tubuh terhadap infeksi Mycobacterium tuberculosis

    Abstract. Materials to produce fertilizer are NH3 Liquid and CO2 gas. Required CO2 gas should be free from condensation, so CO2 gas is refrigerated in intercooler. In this research, we analyse of mathematic model for heat transfer in fluid with finite volume method. We will review how the CO2 gas cooling process from mathematics model point of view. We will model the equations for CO2 gas cooling process which includes momentum dan energy. After that this model will be discretizatied. For numerical solution, we will use Matlab and Fluent to simulate CO2 gas cooling process. The simulation result using Matlab and Fluent forms will be presented descriptively in charts, tables, and images to show how the distribution process of heat transfer. The result show for error is 0,0087. In conclusion the model accurate for solving heat transfer process in CO2 gas. Key Words : Mathematics Models, Heat transfer, Finite Volume Methode

    Abstract.A large classeswith anumber of studentsover 50studentsproved it is not effective inthe implementation oftask-based learning for Calculus II subject in Mathematics Education Department of FKIPJemberUniversity. On the other hand, thattheimplementationof lesson studystarted fromthejointplanning process(plan), implementinglearning(do)as well asevaluation andreflection ofthe results ofthe implementation(see), provides an opportunityto improvestudentlearning outcomes. Thus, the implementation oftask-based learningCalculusII subject throughlesson studyis expected toimprovestudentlearningoutcomes. The study was conductedon learningCalculusII even semester of2011 withthe number of participants of 56students. In this study, studentswere divided intosmall groupsconsisting of5-6 people. The Learning process is donein 4cycles with teacherr teamconsists of 3lecturers. Guidelines fortheearlylearninguseslearning materials developed by Suharto(2007). The resultsshowedthat:1.There is a significant increase inthequalityof learning materilas and varietyof learningscenarios(plan), 2.The role oflecturersis increasinglybetter to facilitate students, providingappropriateassistance,students are able tocomplete thetask ofproblemissuesthroughsmall group discussions, presentinginformationonthe cornerscan then improve the experience, and also to increase students' understandingof thematerial giveneach cycle(do), and 3. studentshave the ability todo self assessment, aware of their mistakes andtheir learning outcomesis improved (see).
