Resistance of glass fibre reinforced polyamide 6.6 materials to automotive cooling fluids: an analytical method for lifetime prediction

Two types (with and without a hydrolysis stabilizer) of polyamide 6.6 (PA6.6) reinforced with 30% w/w glass fibres were examined against the influence of automotive cooling fluids, e.g. ethylene glycol aqueous solutions. The overall goal was to find a methodology to compare the performance of PA6.6 materials against the impacts of the hydrolysis environment. The stabilizer effect on the hydrolytic resistance of the materials was assessed using tensile tests according to ISO 527, and their strain‐at‐break values were evaluated in more detail. The degradation mechanism of both PA types was monitored by infrared spectroscopy and SEM. The material lifetime was described by the Arrhenius equation. The results show that the hydrolysis stabilizer operates effectively at low temperature but exhibits weak performance above 130 °C, which is explained by faster consumption of the stabilizing agent. © 2021 The Authors. Get PDFDas Paper entwickelt ein Modell, das für die berufliche Bildung ausführt, welche Bedingungen und strukturellen Voraussetzungen für inklusives Lehren und Lernen zu betrachten und welche personalen Kompetenzen auszubilden sind.
Es bietet einen Überblick über bisherige Forschungsarbeiten, die Erfordernisse und Gelingensbedingungen für inklusives Lehren und Lernen in Bildungskontexten be- leuchten. Es reflektiert, dass bislang kein Modell für eine „Inklusionskompetenz“ existiert, obwohl für die Etablierung inklusiver Lernsettings eine Perspektive auf das inklusive Handeln sowohl von Lehrenden als auch von Lernenden notwendig scheint und dafür gewisse Kompetenzen unabdingbar scheinen. Daher wird der Kompetenzbegriff im Kontext inklusiven Lernens kritisch beleuchtet. Es wird herausgearbeitet, warum es zwar für Schulungszwecke notwendig ist, dass ein „irgendwie“ inklusionsförderliches Lehren spezifiziert wird. Es erläutert jedoch, warum die Vorstellung einer fest definierten „Inklusionskompetenz“ zu eng ist für die viele inklusiven Momente, die es zu berücksichtigen gilt. Stattdessen sprechen wir von „inklusionsbezogenen Kompetenzen und ihrer Rahmenbedingungen“, um die Notwendigkeit aufzuzeigen, alle im Kontext von Lehren und Lernen benötigten Kompetenzen mit einer Perspektive auf Inklusionsförderlichkeit zu beleuchten und beispielhaft Bereiche aufzuzeigen, inwiefern inklusiv gehandelt werden kann. Dieses persönliche Handeln erfordert aber Rahmenbedingungen. Als Grundlagen für ein inklusionsförderliches Handeln von Personen werden erforderliche Rahmenbedingungen und Strukturen fokussiert und zusammengeführt.
Das vorliegend entwickelte „Modell inklusionsbezogener Kompetenzen und ihrer Rahmenbedingungen“
1. beschreibt und rahmt kompetenzbezogenes Handeln von Personen (Lehrenden und Lernenden) in Bildungseinrichtungen
2. und strukturiert drei Ebenen von Rahmenbedingungen für personales inklusives Handeln: Die Ebene der Kulturen, der Strukturen und der Praktiken.
Das Modell (vgl. Kapitel 3) kann als Grundlage für Schulungen genutzt werden
Entwicklung einer JavaScript-basierten Komponente zum Verwalten und Durchführen von Mehrspieler-Livequizzen im eLearning Portal EDB unter Berücksichtigung des Hexad-Frameworks.
Get PDFFür EDB, das e-Learning Datenbank Portal der TH Köln, soll im Zuge dieser Arbeit eine Komponente zum Verwalten und Durchführen von Mehrspieler-Livequiz entwickelt werden. Um die Motivation der Nutzer zu erhöhen, soll diese an die unter der Zielgruppe verbreitetsten Nutzertypen des Hexad-Frameworks angepasst werden. Dazu wurde eine Umfrage mit Studierenden der TH Köln durchgeführt. Mithilfe der validen Antworten (N=52) wurde unter anderem die Verteilung der Übereinstimmung mit den sechs Nutzertypen Philanthropist,
Socializer, Free Spitit, Achiever, Player sowie Disruptor ermittelt. Neben der Übereinstimmung mit den Nutzertypen wurden auch verschiedene technische Daten wie Bildschirmauflösungen und verwendete Browser und Betriebssysteme erhoben, welche beim Testen der Anwendung eine optimale Darstellung derselben bei einem möglichst großen Anteil der Zielgruppe bedingen könnten. In mehreren Schritten, von einer Betrachtung etablierter Alternativen bis zur Entwicklung eines Wireframes, wurde eine konzeptuelle
Lösung entwickelt und realisiert. Dabei wurde ein Datenbankschema zur Speicherung der Quiz, Fragen und Antworten mitsamt einer API designt und angelegt. Das Ergebnis ist die Implementation einer Anwendung, welche alle Must-Have und mehrere Nice-To-Have Anforderungen erfüllt. Mit dieser können Quiz mit Fragen und Antworten erstellt, bearbeitet, gelöscht und in Quizräumen von mehreren Personen synchron gelöst werden. Es werden Zwischenergebnisse für die einzelnen Fragen und eine Rangliste mit den Endergebnissen eines Quiz angezeigt. Für eine Weiterentwicklung wurden acht
Verbesserungsansätze erdacht.During the course of this bachelor thesis a component for managing and playing multiplayer live quizzes shall be developed for use in EDB, the e-learning database portal of the TH Köln. To increase user motivation this component is to be adjusted to the user types of the hexad framework which are most prevalent in the target population. Therefor a survey was conducted with students of the TH Köln. By use of the valid answers (N=52) the distribution of agreement with the six user types Philanthropist, Socializer, Free Spirit,
Achiever, Player, and Disruptor was determined. Aside from the agreement with user types, various technical data such as display resolution, used browsers and operating systems was
collected, to be used during testing to optimize the display for as many users as possible. Through multiple steps, including the research of established alternatives and the design of a wireframe, a conceptual solution was developed and realized. During this realisation, a data base schema for storing the quizzes, questions, and answers, as well as an API, were designed and implemented. The result is the implementation of an application, which satisfies all must-have and multiple nice-to-have requirements. With this application quizzes with questions and answers can be created, modified, deleted and, in quiz rooms, synchronously solved by multiple players. During and after such solving partial and end results regarding answers to single questions and the scoreboard of the current players of the whole quiz are displayed. Concept for Combining LCA and Hazardous Building Material Assessment for Decision Support Using BIM
Get PDFAbstractThe construction and building sector is responsible for a large part of the world’s resource and energy consumption and is considered the largest global emitter of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Hazardous and toxic substances in building materials affect indoor air quality as well as the environment and thus have a high impact on human health, as we spend around 90 percent of our lives in buildings. Life cycle assessment (LCA) and hazardous building material requirements of green building certification systems allow to reduce the environmental and health impacts of building products and materials. However, they are usually very complex and time-consuming to perform and require expert knowledge to use the results for decision support. Digital approaches to support the simplified application of these methods and intuitive visualization of results are becoming increasingly important. Especially Building Information Modeling (BIM) offers a high potential for this purpose, as the integration and linking of geometric and semantic information in 3D-models for LCA and hazardous building material assessment can be done much more efficiently and intuitively. Within the scope of this work, the following three objectives were pursued (1) development of a method for combining LCA and hazardous building material assessment, (2) simplification of the results by converting them into comprehensible indicators for decision support, and (3) implementation of the method in a BIM-based digital assistant for intuitive visualization and communication. The preliminary results show a concept for combined use of LCA and hazardous building material assessment in Germany with differentiation in six use cases. A prototypical implementation as BIM-integrated digital assistant was developed for one of these use cases. For the first time, this prototype provides understandable feedback in real time of LCA and hazardous building material requirements. This research project contributes to the awareness in the context of embodied impacts and low emitting materials in buildings and advances the current digitalization potentials

With the ongoing lifestyle and demographic changes, online insurance is becoming one of China's key distributional and operational business models. More than 140 Chinese insurance companies had launched an online business by 2021, with a total premium of 298 billion Yuan (US$45 billion) or 6% of the industry total. Over 7741 enterprises are registered and involved in online insurance. Despite ongoing pandemic issues and lockdowns, online insurance became the accelerators for premium growth in China, especially in the life and health insurance sectors. While the opportunities are enormous, online insurers are facing a number of challenges, such as tightening regulations, a shortage of competent advisors, rising fraud and global recessions. With over 900 million mobile users in China and a population that is ageing and witnessing a reduction in fertility, online insurance will keep growing
Insurance Capital Standard (ICS)
Get PDFDiskussionen über Gleichwertigkeitsbeschlüsse und bilateral ausgehandelte Abkommen wie z. B. das Covered Agreement zur Regelung des Betriebs von Rückversicherungsgeschäft zwischen der EU und den Vereinigten Staaten könnten für international tätige Versicherungsgruppen zukünftig der Vergangenheit angehören. Als Vereinigung von Versicherungsbehörden aus über 200 Ländern arbeitet die International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) seit 2013 an der Entwicklung eines risikobasierten, global anwendbaren Kapitalstandards (Insurance Capital Standard – ICS). Übergeordnetes Ziel ist die Schaffung eines übergreifenden Regulierungsrahmens für große international tätige Versicherungsgruppen mit Mindeststandards für die Bewertung von Risiken und daraus resultierenden Anforderungen an die Kapitalausstattung.
Es liegt in der Natur der Sache, dass bei der Entwicklung eines globalen Kapitalstandards die Interessen aus vielen verschiedenen Jurisdiktionen mit unterschiedlichen Systemen aufeinandertreffen (insbesondere trifft die verschiedenen Aufsichtsregime aus Europa und den Vereinigten Staaten aufeinander). Das IAIS hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, die Interessengruppen zusammen zu bringen und ohne die lokalen Aufsichtsregime in den Jurisdiktionen auszuklammern, einen globalen Mindestkapitalstandard für international tätige Versicherungsgruppen zu entwickeln.
Der ICS wird im Rahmen der Konsolidierungsmethode berechnet und weist daher viele Ähnlichkeiten mit Solvency II auf. Der US Alternativansatz wird im Rahmen der Aggregationsmethode berechnet und soll ähnliche Ergebnisse zur Konsolidierungsmethode liefern.
Am Ende stellt sich für die europäischen (Rück-)Versicherungsunternehmen die Frage, ob man akzeptiert, dass US Ansatz äquivalent zum ICS ist, um das Ziel eines globalen Kapitalstandards als Level Playing Field zu etablieren

No full textArtykuł dostępny w dwóch wersjach językowych (tłumaczenie angielskie).W niniejszym artykule podjęto problem roli kobiet w społeczności mafijnej, uwzględniając przy tym jej zdecydowanie patriarchalny i heteronormatywny charakter. Z jednej strony, ukazano uwikłanie kobiet w patriarchalne podporządkowanie i lojalność wobec mężczyzn, z drugiej strony, ogromną władzę matek i babć w obszarze wychowania i socjalizacji nowego pokolenia w (destruktywną) tożsamość i patologiczną społeczność mafijną. Ponadto opisano zjawisko przejmowania przez kobiety wysokich pozycji w mafii, jak również umasowienie udziału kobiet w działaniach mafii na niskich szczeblach. Dokonane w tekście analizy prowadzą do konkluzji, że, podobnie, jak w tysiącach innych patriarchalnych układach społeczno-kulturowych, w większej mierze mafijna kobieta jest instrumentem niż aktywnie kreującym swoje życie podmiotem.This article addresses the issue of the role of women in the mafia community, taking into account its decidedly patriarchal and heteronormative character. On the one hand, the entanglement of women in patriarchal subordination and loyalty to men has been shown. On the other, the immense power of mothers and grandmothers in raising and socializing the new generation into a (destructive) identity and pathological mafia community has been emphasised. In addition, the article takes into consideration the phenomenon of women taking over high positions in the mafia, as well as presents the massification of women’s participation in low-level mafia activities. No full textThe correspondence from Henryk Sienkiewicz to Konrad Dobrski from the years 1865–1866 records reflections of the future author of The Trilogy on his one year’s stay as a tutor to the Weyher family (Ludwik, his uncle, and Aleksandra) in Poświętne near Płońsk. There Sienkiewicz met various people. Their identities are established in the article on the basis of hitherto unused archival sources in the form of corrections and factual additions to the 1977 edition of letters. The unflattering remarks about the Weyhers and the guests staying at their house show Sienkiewicz’s critical attitude towards the conformist life of landowners, to whom he gives the worst possible testimony. The text attempts to explain the reasons and contexts of such an attitude of the young Sienkiewicz. No full textThe purpose of the article is to consider the influence of music education on the organization of the time of children and adolescents, to emphasize the educational role of music in the period of growing up. “Children’s” fragments of E. Vodolazkin’s novel Brisbane and a collection of stories by the children’s writer N. Dashevskaya About Music, with reference to her other books, are analyzed. The subject becomes a cross-cutting motif of music, which holds together the artistic whole of the texts. It participates in the construction of plots, organization of the system of characters, influences the structural characteristics and lexical composition of texts.
