    TRANSFORMASI GERAKAN SOSIAL KE PARTAI POLITIK KIPRAH POLITIK PARTAI RAKYAT DEMOKRATIK DI MASA REFORMASI

    In the New Order era (Orde Baru), the end of the 1970s until the early 1990s, the student movement is faced with repressive measures, a policy of limiting the political activities of students applied, then the search for a new format motion is a must. The study group is an option to avoid the political power. In the expansion, the study group turns into a political party, the People’s Democratic Party (PRD). The emergence of the PRD as an opposition party to the New Order Indonesian political public attention, because of their political program is so radical. Also, the communist stigma attached by the government to the party’s young people reap the reaction of pro and cons in the community. After the collapse of the New Order, PRD became an electoral party but failed to reap the support of voters. This paper describes the process of changing the format of the student movement of the 1990s, from the study group into action committees, later became a political party, in this paper also described the political progress of PRD in the reform era.

    The inception of social groups nowadays believed as positive indication cultivation of democracy in some country, including Indonesia. The existence of social group aims to create a social change better and gratify the people interest. One of the social group is student movement that in any political event has become the pioneer for social change. This article aims to analyze how does democracy become important factor to a social movement, particularly student movement to an occurrence of social change in Indonesia. This research using a qualitative descriptive method to analyze how is social movement and democracy in Indonesia, especially related to student movement through to social change. As a result that student movement is the most important thing to realizing social change. As an agent of change, the idealism of student is valued indicator-weather social change has moved as well or perhaps full of political interest. The student movement also becomes indicator for sustainability of democracy.

    Patterns of business and political relations in the reform period is one form of transformation of the pattern of political and business relations of the New Order. This relation involving actors in the political and economical sector through the actions taken to share the resources of the state, where the practice of rent seeking is done openly in a democratic regime. Rent seeking in the reform period was transformed through regime change, from the authoritarian New Order regime to democratic regime in reform period. In the transformation process, rent seeking growing not only among economical and political / governmental actors at the central level but also extends to localactors. The shift in the relation of power from the center to the regions shifting the map of corruption that was once centralized and then spread to smaller level of area. Pattern of business and political relationships was transformed due to the reorganization of the business actors during the New Order to the current political situation to keep control of economic resources; The appearance of new businesses as new economic powers; and the presence of political/governmental actors still dominated by predatory power relations and clientelism

    Despite various existence of ratified UN Conventions and other international and national policies, women’s political participation has still been considered week. They remain substantially underrepresented in the position of political decision making. In other words, political sphere is still male-dominated. Needless to say, formal political equality statements are not enough. It needs more actions to make it into reality. One potential measure, among other things, is affirmative action in the form of gender quota. The policy has the potential to strengthen women’s political participation and representation. Nevertheless, empirically, this has not always been the case. As one would expect, there are a number of factors which determine the effectiveness of the policy implementation process, i.e., political, socio-economic, and socio-cultural. For more effective implementation, affirmative action policy needs to be accompanied by parallel effort of handling those hindrances.

    As a country which has attention to democracy and human rights, also has the strategic role of Indonesia in regional and international level, Indonesia has a political will to help Myanmar in continuing the survival of democracy there. Through the values which upheld ASEAN, namely the principle of non-intervention, Indonesia seeks to use constructive engagement approach, which emphasizes consensus and avoid confrontation with the inclusive spirit and persuasive attention. Indonesia’s efforts shaped positive support by promoting diplomatic role, involvement in co-operation, foreign aid presence in the investment, dialogue, and exchange of ideas related to a variety of issues. This approach is diametrically opposed to a boycott or embargo to turn Myanmar into a democratic state.

    After election commission passed Nasdem Party to participate in the 2014 elections, the party is now headed by Surya Paloh reap discord. The split was marked by the release of Hary Tanoe Soedibjo, Chairman of the Board of Expert Nasdem Party. Hary Tanoe addition, Secretary-General Ahmad Rofik, Saiful Haq Deputy Secretary-General, and the Chairman of the Internal DPP Nasdem Tirtana Endang also resigned from the party Nasdem. The resignation was caused by disagreement with Surya Paloh who plans to overhaul the management of board center. The purpose of this study was to determine the internal conflict and branding of Nasdem Political Party In Legislative Election Year 2014. The result shows Nasdem internal conflict as a conflict of interest due to the race for Chairman Nasdem between Surya Paloh and Hary Tanoe Sudibjo. This conflict resulted the resignation Hary Tanoe and followed by Nasdem cadres in several regions in Indonesia. Nasdem administrators in several regions in Indonesia who resigned are the supporters of Hary Tanoe. Impact in the community is its lack of public confidence in Nasdem as new party that is expected to bring positive change so that this conflict can interfere with imaging Nasdem the 2014 Elections

    DPR-RI oversight in TNI (military) Business have very important role in forming of professional and reliable TNI, despitefully DPR-RI oversight also useful to link citizen priority and views in rule of policy and law in defence area. The purpose of this research is to analyze the oversight mechanism conducted by DPR-RI in the case of military business. Theory used by researcher in conducting this research is theory of parliamentary oversight, which is conducting through various mechanism which available in parliament, that is: passing debate mechanism; passing existence of commission; and through raised questions when in meeting. This research used qualitative method,and data research was obtained from primary and secondary data. Primary data was gained through observation and interview. Based on the research, the oversight mechanism have been run by first commission of DPR-RI was still weaken, on the other side the parliament (DPR) also lack in creating an effective oversight, where this matter because of some factors, such as: the lack of political willingness of parliamentary member, lack of positive supervision practices and the limited information had by DPR
