Czech Trio – ensemble profile with focus on current members
Get PDFCílem této práce je důkladně prozkoumat jednotlivé etapy vývoje Českého tria a současně nabídnout fascinující pohled do bohatých uměleckých životů současných členů tohoto souboru. Klíčovou součástí je zkoumání umělecko-historického kontextu dané doby, který formoval a ovlivňoval činnost Českého tria. České trio navázalo na začínající tradici komorní hudby u nás ve chvíli, kdy České kvarteto otevřelo tomuto novému fenoménu cestu. Během let se obsazení Českého tria proměňovalo, ale jeho poslání zůstalo víceméně nezměněné. V českém prostředí se snažilo vytvořit bezpečné a podpůrné prostředí pro rozvoj komorní hry, zatímco v zahraničí se zaměřovalo na propagaci české hudby. Bezpochyby dominantním obdobím v historii Českého tria bylo působení klavíristy Josefa Páleníčka, který v souboru strávil téměř padesát let. Během této doby vzniklo mnoho nahrávek, které svědčí o obdivuhodném nasazení souboru a snaze zanechat stopy v hudební historii. Zejména v dobách, kdy naše země nebyla politicky stabilní, měla činnost Českého tria obzvlášť záslužný charakter. Komplexním zkoumáním jednotlivých etap vývoje a současnosti Českého tria se práce snaží odhalit nejen hudební význam tohoto souboru, ale také jeho kulturní dopad a umělecké dědictví.The aim of this work is to thoroughly explore the various stages of the Czech Trio’s development and at the same time to offer a fascinating insight into the rich artistic lives of the contemporary members of this ensemble. A key part of this is an exploration of the art-historical context of the time that shaped and influenced the work of the Czech Trio. The Czech Trio continued the budding tradition of chamber music in this country when the Czech Quartet opened the way for this new phenomenon. Over the years, the line-up of the Czech Trio has changed, but its mission has remained more or less unchanged. In the Czech environment it tried to create a safe and supportive environment for the development of chamber music, while abroad it focused on the promotion of Czech music. Undoubtedly the dominant period in the history of the Czech Trio was the tenure of pianist Josef Páleníček, who spent almost fifty years with this ensemble. During this time, many recordings were made, which testify to the ensemble’s admirable commitment and efforts to leave a mark on music history. Especially in times when our country was not politically stable, the activities of the Czech Trio were particularly meritorious. By comprehensively examining the various stages of the Czech Trio’s development and present day, the thesis seeks to reveal not only the musical significance of this ensemble, but also its cultural impact and artistic legacy
Focused on comparison of interpretations
Get PDFPředkládaná bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na dílo Fryderyka Chopina Baladu č. 1 g moll, op. 23 a její interpretační srovnání nahrávek dvou pianistů, žáků v linii Chopinových žáků. První část práce zpracovává Chopinův život do vzniku Balady g moll, popisuje vznik a vývoj balady jako hudební formy, a výskyt také v dílech ostatních romantických skladatelů, dále rozvádí balady v Chopinově tvorbě, a samotnou Baladu g moll. Druhá stěžejní část práce se zaměřuje na interpretaci. Cílem práce je detailně přiblížit a porovnat počínání interpretů nejprve v autentičnosti s notovým zápisem, následně z hlediska práce s dynamikou a volby temp. Nakonec je také obsažen vlastní interpretační pohled, který zpracovává nabyté zkušenosti v průběhu osobního nastudovávání díla. Výsledky detailní komparace jsou shrnuty v závěru.This bachelor’s thesis is focused on Fryderyk Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 in G minor, op. 23, and the comparison of its two interpretations, both of pianists who were in the succession (not directly) of Chopin’s students. The first part of the thesis concerns itself with Chopin’s life up until he wrote the Ballade in G minor. It also describes the ballade as a genre, how the given form of music evolved, and its presence in works of other romantic composers. Then it focuses on ballades in Chopin’s works, and on the specific Ballade No. 1. The second and main part of the thesis is focused on the interpretations. The aim of the thesis is to provide detailed comparisons of firstly how the performers respect the score and secondly how they work with dynamics and different tempos. At last, there is my own view of the interpretation of the ballade, that I have created by gaining experience while I was studying the work. Mendelssohn-Haus in Leipzig and its activities for the public
Get PDFTato práce se popisuje koncertní aktivity Mendelssohn-Haus, hudebního muzea věnovanému životu a dílu hudebního skladatele Felixe Mendelssohna Bartholdyho, nacházejícího se v Lipsku. Aktivity této instituce srovnávám s dvěma muzei v Česku zaměřenými na skladatele Antonína Dvořáka; s Památníkem Antonína Dvořáka ve Vysoké u Příbrami a Muzeem Antonína Dvořáka v Praze. V teoretické části práce se věnuji pojmům z oblasti muzeologie a kulturního marketingu a historií skladatelských muzeí v ČR a v Německu. V praktické části po stručném přiblížení obou skladatelů popisuji, o jaké instituce se jedná, (rozdíly ve zřizovatelích a financování) jaké hudební programy tato muzea nabízejí, s jakými cílovými skupinami a jak pracují. Závěrem shrnuji, že instituce, které v obou zemích fungují jako samostatné celky, mají větší svobodu v dramaturgii koncertních akcí a dochází u nich i k větší realizační praxi těchto aktivit.This paper describes the concert activities of the Mendelssohn House, a music museum dedicated to the life and work of the composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, located in Leipzig. I compare the activities of this institution with two museums in the Czech Republic dedicated to the composer Antonín Dvořák: the Antonín Dvořák Memorial in Vysoká u Příbrami and the Antonín Dvořák Museum in Prague. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I discuss concepts from the field of museology and cultural marketing, as well as the history of composer museums in the Czech Republic and Germany. In the practical part, after a brief introduction to both composers, I describe what kind of institutions they are (differences in founders and funding), what kind of music programmes these museums offer, with what target groups, and how they work. Finally, I summarise that in both countries, institutions that function as independent entities have more freedom in the dramaturgy of concert events and there is more practice in the implementation of these activities
International Festival of New Circus and Theatre Letní Letná
No full textObsahem je poznání Mezinárodního festivalu nového cirkusu a divadla Letní Letná. Důvodem psaní práce byla osobní orientace v problematice nového cirkusu. Skrze historii festivalu bylo cílem poznat českou rozvíjející se divadelní scénu se zaměřením na nový cirkus, ale i poznání přijíždějících souborů ze zahraničí. Přínosem byly rozhovory s ředitelem festivalu Jiřím Turkem a hlavními osobnostmi při jeho zrodu. Celkové poznání festivalu mě vedlo i k úvaze nad kontextem jeho působení ve střední Evropy a celková reflexe za dvacet let trvání.The content is to learn about the International festival of contemporary circus and theatre Letní Letná. The reason for writing the thesis was personal orientation in the issues of new circus. Through the history of the festival, the aim was to get to know the Czech developing theatre scene with a focus on new circus, but also to get to know visiting companies from abroad. Interviews with the festival's director Jiří Turek and the main figures in its birth were beneficial. The overall understanding of the festival also led me to reflect on the context of its work in Central Europe and the overall reflection over the twenty years of its existence

Hlavné ciele štúdie zahŕňajú analýzu a aplikáciu súčasných technológií v oblasti automatickej orchestrácie, s dôrazom na programy ako Orchids a Orchidea. Metodológia kombinuje teoretický výskum konceptu programov a praktické aplikácie, ktoré umožňujú skúmanie zvukových charakteristík a ich využitie v kompozícii. Autor skúma možnosti a optimalizáciu týchto nástrojov a ich fungovanie v rôznych situáciach. Súčasťou práce sú kompozičné príklady, ktoré vychádzahú z praxe automatickej orchestrácie. Výsledky práce ukazujú, že počítačom podporovaná orchestrácia môže významne rozšíriť kreatívne možnosti skladateľov a zlepšiť efektivitu kompozičného procesu.This thesis focuses on the use of computer-assisted orchestration as a fundamental element in the compositional process. The analysis and application of current technologies in the field of automatic orchestration, with an emphasis on programs such as Orchids and Orchidea, are the main objectives of the study. The methodology combines theoretical research on the concept of these programs with practical applications, allowing the exploration of sound characteristics and their use in the compositional process. The author's focus is on the possibilities and optimisation of these tools and their use in different situations. The work includes compositional examples based on the practice of automatic orchestration. The results of the study show that computer-assisted orchestration can significantly expand the creative possibilities of the composer and improve the efficiency of the compositional process

Polovina mé diplomové práce obsahuje popis práce na hře Podzimní sonáta; Ingmara Bergmana, která vznikla z mimoškolní iniciativy spolužáček, kde jsem nejprve působila jako režisérka a poté jsem se transformovala do autorské herečky. Hlavním cílem práce je reflektovat vlastní zkušenost, odhalit, co umožňuje vznik tvůrčího procesu během práce, a co bylo před psaním této práce skryté nebo považované za samozřejmost, zamyslet se nad chybami a nad tím, co se z nich mohu naučit. Práci píši formou deníku, který popisuje důležité životní události související s mou hereckou a režijní zkušeností, setkáními s lidmi, kteří mě ovlivnili, zkouškami Podzimní sonáty, jejím uvedením před diváky a všem, co s tím souviselo: co se podařilo a co ne, moje úvahy a pochybnosti, ztráty a objevy.This work is dedicated to my personal experiences related to my theatre activities in Russia and Czech Republic, from childhood to the present, from amateur theatre to studies at theatre academy. Half of my diploma thesis contains a description of the work on the play Autumn sonata by Ingmar Bergman, which was created from an out-of-school initiative by classmates, where I was first a director and then transformed into an authorial actress. The main goal of the work is to reflect on my own experience, uncover what allows the creative process to emerge during the work, and what was hidden or taken for granted before writing this thesis, to think about mistakes and what I can take from them. I write my work in the form of a diary, describing important life events related to acting and directing experience, encounters with people who influenced me, as well as the rehearsals of Autumn Sonata and its introduction to the stage, including everything connected to it: what worked and what didnt, my reflections and doubts, losses and discoveries

Cílem práce je přinést přehled o současném stavu českých producentek a identifikovat klíčové překážky, které jim brání v dlouhodobém působení v tomto odvětví. Práce popisuje evropský kontext a zkoumá klíčové instituce v českém filmovém průmyslu. Analýza těchto institucí poskytne ucelený obraz aktuální situace a naznačí možné směry pro budoucí zlepšení. V poslední části se autorka zaměřuje na kvalitativní výzkum formou strukturovaných rozhovorů s vybranými českými producentkami, který ji umožní hloubkovou analýzu jejich zkušeností a identifikaci překážek, kterým čelí.This master's thesis focuses on the analysis of the position of female producers in the Czech film industry. The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of the current state of female producers in the Czech Republic and identify the key obstacles that prevent them from maintaining a long-term presence in this sector. The thesis describes the European context and analyzes key institutions in the Czech film industry. This analysis will provide a comprehensive picture of the current situation and suggest possible future improvements. In the final section, the author focuses on qualitative research through structured interviews with selected Czech female producers, which will allow for an in-depth analysis of their experiences and the identification of obstacles they face
Evolution in the Aesthetics of Lighting Trough the Decades: Robert Elswit
Get PDFZáměrem této práce je představit estetický vývoj filmového osvětlení v průběhu desetiletí, v období mezi lety 1990 a 2019, a to v tvorbě kameramana Roberta Elswita. Metoda k dosažení závěru zahrnuje souběžné chronologické prozkoumání a porovnání opusu kameramana a také dominantních trendů filmového svícení v Hollywoodu jednotlivých dekád. Výsledkem práce by bylo stanovení odpovědí na otázky, jak se Elswitův přístup k filmovému osvětlení vyvinul z hlediska jeho individuálního uměleckého růstu a rovněž o tom, jak či zda byl ovlivněn změnami a trendy filmového průmyslu v průběhu daného období.This work aims to witness the aesthetic evolution of film lighting trough the decades, starting from the 1990s trough the 2010s, in the work of cinematographer Robert Elswit. The method used to reach a conclusion encompasses a parallel chronological examination and comparison of the authors opus, as well as the trends dominating film lighting in Hollywood of each decade. The outcome of the work would would be a conclusion of how the authors approach to film lighting has evolved in terms of his individual growth as an artist, or how, if at all, it could have been affected by the changes and trends of the film industry

Využívá kombinovanou metodologii zahrnující kvalitativní výzkum, případové studie a analýzu sekundárních dat k prozkoumání rychle se vyvíjejícího digitálního prostředí v hudebním průmyslu.
Práce se zaměřuje na široké spektrum oblastí ovlivněných digitalizací, včetně rozvoje umělé inteligence, využití NFT v hudbě, streamování a herního průmyslu. Klíčovým zjištěním je důležitost kontinuálního vzdělávání a adaptace hudebních manažerů na rychle se měnící technologické prostředí.
Výzkum zdůrazňuje nutnost dynamického přístupu k práci v hudebním managementu a schopnost efektivně využívat nové digitální nástroje a platformy. Práce také analyzuje výzvy a příležitosti, které digitalizace přináší, včetně potřeby rozvoje nových dovedností v oblasti datové analýzy a digitálního marketingu.
Studie doporučuje adaptaci flexibilnějšího a proaktivnějšího přístupu k hudebnímu managementu, který umožní profesionálům v oboru lépe reagovat na rychle se měnící digitální krajinu. Zároveň upozorňuje na potenciální psychologické dopady digitalizace na umělce a manažery, zdůrazňujíc důležitost vytvoření udržitelného digitálního hudebního ekosystému.

It uses a combined methodology involving qualitative research, case studies and secondary data analysis to explore the rapidly evolving digital landscape in the music industry.
The thesis focuses on a wide range of areas affected by digitalisation, including the development of artificial intelligence, the use of NFT in music, streaming and the gaming industry. A key finding is the importance of continuing education and adaptation of music managers to the rapidly changing technological environment.
The research highlights the need for a dynamic approach to working in music management and the ability to effectively use new digital tools and platforms. The thesis also analyses the challenges and opportunities presented by digitalisation, including the need to develop new skills in data analytics and digital marketing.

Get PDFThis thesis analyses the influence of Geography on the subjective, creative and emotional expression of light in a film. To develop a broad understanding on varied visual aesthetics, a comparison is made between cinematographers Santosh Sivan and Darius Khondji, who originate from and work in different parts of the world. A detailed qualitative study of the films Dil Se (1998), The Terrorist(1998), Evita (1996)and Se7en (1995) is presented using tools of Composition and Lighting for analysis. A further comparison in lieu of treatment of geography across the films reveals its impact on the Poetics of Light in the films.Tato práce analyzuje vliv geografie na subjektivní, tvůrčí a emocionální vyjádření světla ve filmu. K pochopení rozmanité vizuální estetiky, bylo použité srovnání mezi kameramany Santoshem Sivanem a Dariusem Khondjim, kteří pocházejí z různých částí světa a také v nich pracují. Podrobná studie filmů Dil Se (1998), Terorista (1998), Evita (1996) a Se7en (1995) je prezentována pomocí analýzy Kompozice a Světla.
