THE INFLUENCE OF GUIDED DISCOVERY LEARNING MODEL WITH GUIDED INQUIRY BASED LEARNING MODULE BASED CONCERNING TO NATURALISTIC INTELLIGENCE VII GRADE STUDENT at SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 8 SURAKARTA in ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015
The aims the research determine the effect of the application guided discovery learning model with guided inquiry-based learning module concercing to naturalistic intelligence student grade VII at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta in academic year 2014/2015. This study included in the quasi-experimental research. The study design was a Post-Test Only Nonequivalent Group using experimental class (guided discovery learning with the learning modules) and the control class (guided discovery learning). The population of this research was all students VII grade of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta in academic year 2014/2015. The sampling technique using cluster sampling method and taken two classes, one class as the experiment and the class as a control. Data collection techniques using test descriptions, observation sheets, and school documents. Hypothesis testing using t-test. The results showed that the students' intelligence naturalistic experimental group and the control group was significantly different. The experimental group value of average general naturalistic intelligence 53.087 with a value 2,63 of classifying aspects and 1.35 of know. Control group with a value of naturalistic intelligence 45,810 with classifying aspects 2,30 and know aspect 1,29. Based on the research proficiency level can be concluded that the application of guided discovery learning model with guided inquiry learning modules affect to the naturalistic intelligence at seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Surakarta in academic year 2014/2015. The Influence of Guided Discovery Learning Model on Biology Result Study at SMA N 2 Sukoharjo Academic Year 2013/2014
The aim of the research is to find out the effect of Guided Discovery Learning on the Biology learning outcome of the students in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2013/2014.This research employed Quasi-experimental research with Posttest Only with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of research was the even semester XI IPA graders of SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2013/2014. The sample of research was taken using Cluster Sampling. Techniques of collecting data used were test and non-test method. Test method included essay of biological learning outcome in knowledge domain, while the non-test one included observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The hypothesis testing was conducted using t-test with SPSS version 17 help.The result of research showed that H0 was not supported, meaning that there was an effect of the Guided Discovery Learning toward the Biology learning outcome of the students in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2013/2014. The mean score of biological learning outcome in experiment class was higher than that in control class with the highest mean occurred in attitude domain, and the lowest one occurred in skill domain.Based on result, it could be concluded that Guided Discovery Learning affected the improvement of biological learning outcome in the students of SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the school year of 2013/2014. THE EFFECT OF DISCOVERY LEARNING ON STUDENTS’ LOGICAL THINKING SKILLS OF GRADE X MIA SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 1 SURAKARTA ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014
The purpose of the research was to determine effect of Discovery Learning on student’s logical thinking skills of grade X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2013/2014. The study was a quasi experimental research with a Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population was all students of class X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta in the school year 2013/2014. The sampling technique was cluster sampling. Data collection techniques using tests and non-test methods. Independent sample t-test was used to test hypothesis. The result of hypothesis testing has a significance of 0.048. The average value of logical thinking test on control class was 4.41 and the experimental class was 5.19. The conclusion was Discovery Learning significant effect on student’s logical thinking skills of grade X MIA SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta academic year 2013/2014. The Influence Of Collaborative-Constructivist Learning Model Toward Critical Thinking Ability Of X Grade Students At SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar In Academic Year 2012/2013
The aim of this research is to ascertain the influence of collaborative- constructivist learning models toward critical thinking ability of X grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. This research was quasi experiment research which used posttest only nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was all of X grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. Sampling techniques used cluster sampling that choosed X6 as experiment group and X7 as control group. Data was collected using test and non test. Test method using critical thinking test. Non test method using observation sheet and document. The hypotheses analyzed by t-test. This research concluded that application of collaborative- constructivist learning models has real influential toward critical thinking ability of X grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar. The Influence of Predict Observe Explain Write Towards of Critical Thinking Skills and in X Degree SMA N 2 Sukoharjo in academic year on 2012/2013
This research aimed to find out whether or not there is an effect of Predict Observe Explain Write on the critical thinking ability of the X graders of SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in academic year on 2012/2013..This study was a quasi experiment research. Posstet only nonequivalent control group design is used in this research. The population of research was all X grades of SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in academic year 2012/2013 consisiting 285 students. Cluster sampling.is used to this research. The result of cluster sampling is choosen for X6 as experimental gruop and X7 as control group. Predict observe explain write model is applied in experimental group and conventional model is applied in control group. The data was collected by using critical thinking test, observastion sheet, and school documents. The data were analyzed by t-test.The results of this research shows that the mean of student’s capability of critical thinking in experiment class higher than control class, it was 70,41 for experiment class and 61,98 for control class. The result of hypothesis is analyzed by t-test and it gets significant value 0,000 (sig.<0,05), so the Predict Observe Explain Write model has effect toward student’s capability of critical thinking.This conclution is the application of Predict Observe Explain Write models has real effect toward critical thinking ability of X grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in academic year on 2012/2013 . THE EFFECT OF GUIDED INQUIRY MODEL TOWARD STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOME IN BIOLOGY OF GRADE XI IPA AT SMA NEGERI 2 SUKOHARJO ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014
The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of guided inquiry model toward the students learning otucome in biology of grade XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. This research was quasi experiment using a design postest only with nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all students of grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. The sampling technique used cluster sampling to obtain class XI IPA 1 as a control group and class XI IPA 3 as a experimental group. Data collection techniques using test and non test method. Hypotesis testing with t-test using SPSS version 17. Result of this research showed the learning outcomes of knowledge (tcount> ttable) that tcount = 2.978 and ttable = 1.995, skills (tcount > ttable) that tcount = 16,509 and ttable = 1.995, as well as attitudes (tcount > ttable) that tcount = 3.905 and ttable=1.995. The decision on the third domain of learning outcomes that tcount > ttable with sig.< α shows that there was a real effect on the learning outcome in biology with guided inquiry model of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The conclusion from this research that there was significant effect of guided inquiry model toward the students learning outcome in biology of grade XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. The Influence Of Collaborative-Constructivist Learning Model Of Student’s Science Process Skill At SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar In Academic Year 2012/2013
Learning biology as part of the science consists of three aspects, namely the process (psychomotor), product (cognitive), and scientific attitudes (affective). In reality the classrooms are not conducive for the learning process is dominated by teachers and more advanced aspects of the product rather than process aspects and scientific attitude. consequently students are less oriented to the development of science process skills. Learning model that can facilitate the students to develop science process skills are collaborative-constructivist learning model. Both have characters that complement each other. The aim of this research is to ascertain the influence of collaborative- constructivist learning model of student’s Science Process skill at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. This research was quasi experiment research which used posttest only nonequivalent control group design.The population of this research was all of X grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Karanganyar in academic year 2012/2013. THE EFFECT OF STUDYING PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) TO THE X GRADE OF SMA NEGERI 6 SURAKARTA STUDENTS CRITICAL THINGKING ABILITY IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/2013
This research is to know the effect of studying Problem Based Learning (PBL) to tenth grade of SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta students critical thingking ability in academic year 2012/2013..This research include on Quasy Experiment with the research design posttest only non equivalent group design. This research applies Problem Based Learning (PBL) to the experiment group and variative communication method learning to control group. The population research is the whole of tenth students of SMA 6 Surakarta year 2012/2013. The withdrawal sample technic is sampling cluster and is taken two clasess the experiment group and control group. The data collection technic uses test technic to know the environment pollution and the measure the students’ critical ability, the school documentation as the first ability used to test the balace, and observation sheet to see the doing activity in the form of: the students’ action, ability, and attitude. Hypothesis test uses T-test with SPSS 16 program.This research results is to show that through application learning Problem Based Learning, students participate actively in the learning process. The hypothesis test results the conclusion test (sig) 0,05 until the HO is refused. This means that the average result critical ability between control class and experiment class are different. The pronouncement is also supported descriptively that is form the average value of critical ability in the amount of 76.14862 for the experiment class and 83.24593 for the control class.This research concludes that Problem Based Learning affects to the tenth students' critical ability of SMAN 6 Surakarta year 2012/2013
A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF INSTAD SUPPORTED BY MIND MAP VISUALIZATION AND THE CONVENTIONAL TEACHERED CENTER LEARNING CASE IN BIOLOGICAL ANALYTICAL THINKING COMPETENCY OF THE STUDENT OF XI SCIENCE CLASS OF SMA N 4 SURAKARTA
This research is aimed to compare the two models; INSTAD supported by mind map visualization and the conventional teachered center in term of their capabilities in improving student’s analytical thinking.Quasy experimental paradism of research is followed with Posttest Only with Non-equivalent Groups Design. The population in this research was all of the student at the XI Science Class in SMA N 4 Surakarta, at the academic year of 2012/2013. The whole population consist of 188 students that are dispersed within 6 classes. Samples are taken in a group of student (cluster sampling method). The data are collected upon the samples taken using the instrument sheet of examining the analytical thingking capability.The result shows that the mean value of the analytical thingking in the experimental group (74,00) is greater than in the comparison one (60,63). The learning in experimental group using INSTAD supported by mind map could practice the student’s cognitive skill so that the student’s analytical thinking competence could develop. It could not be found in the control group which the learning use conventional method.It can be concluded that INSTAD supported mind map visualization is better than conventional teachered center learning. The Influence of Science Technology Society (STS) Learning Model Toward Biology Learning Achievement of X Degree Students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in 2012/2013 Academic Year 2012/2013.
The rapid development of science and technology in the 21st century requires students to think critically, creatively and highly a positive attitude towards science, society, and possess initiative correspond to issues resulted by the impact of science and technology’s application. Learning model that correspond to the development of science and technology is STS learning model, because the learning model allows students actively involved in learning and to show the role of science and technology in society. The aim of this research is to know the influence of STS learning model toward biology learning achievement of X degree students at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in 2012/2013 academic year. This research was a quasi experiment research using posttest only non equivalent group design. This research applied STS learning model towards experimental group upon class X at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali in academic year 2012/2013. Cluster sampling was used upon the population. Data was collected using test and non test method, and analyzed by t-test. T-test results of the three domains is t count > t table so that Ho is rejected. This research concluded that the application of STS learning model has taken good effect toward student’s achievement cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domain in learning biology of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali.Keywords: Science Technology Society Learning Model, Biology Learning Achievement.
