本論文は、本論文は、「Development of Novel Fishmeal Treatment System by Modified 
Anaerobic Baffled Reactor（嫌気性バッフルドリアクターの改良による新規魚加工廃水処理
システムの開発）」と題し、10 章より構成されている。第 1 章では緒論として、本研究の
意義と目的について述べ、本論文の構成を記述している。  
第 2 章では、本研究で対象とした魚加工廃水についてその特徴などを文献調査により整
理記述を行っている。第 3 章では魚加工廃水処理における現在の研究開発動向、各処理シ
ステムの特徴やなどについて文献調査により整理記述されている。第 4 章では、本研究で
用いた分析手法についてまとめて記載している。  
第 5 章では、8 つのカラムからなるラボスケールの ABR リアクターを用いて模擬魚加
工廃水の処理実験を行った。その結果、全 COD 除去率で 98％を達成した。ABR リアク
ターの 8 つのカラムが有機物の嫌気分解の各段階を区画分けしたことが高い COD 除去率
の要因であると考えられた。  
第 6 章では、魚粉製造工場に設置された 12 のカラムからなる容積 18.8 m3の実 ABR リ
アクターを用いて処理試験を行い性能を把握した。実験の結果、容積負荷 2.1±1.3 kg 
COD∙m-3∙day-1の条件において COD 除去率約 96%を達成した。また、保持汚泥の微生物
群集構造解析と各カラム内の VFA 濃度から、1-2 槽目のカラムは加水分解、3 槽目のカラ
ムは酸生成、それ以降はメタン生成と区画分けがうまく機能している事を確認した。この
結果を踏まえ、第 7 章では ABR リアクターに付加する DHS システムの設計を行った。 
第 8 章では、ABR リアクターに DHS システムを組み合わせ COD 除去率のさらなる向
上と窒素除去の実験を行い、全 COD 除去率で 98％、窒素除去率 60％を達成した。 
第 9 章では、実験で得られたデータを他の研究報告と詳細に比較検討し、開発した処理
システムの優位性とさらなる改善点や今後の研究開発の方向性などを記載している。  
第 10 章では、本論文で得られた知見を総括するとともに、さらなる処理水質の高度化
やプロセス安定性など実用化にむけた研究課題、普及する上での改善点および今後の研究
に関して提案を行っている。  
以上のように本論文は、省エネルギー型の魚加工廃水処理方法として ABR リアクター
の改良とその後段処理に適切な DHS システムを開発し、実工場での処理試験で ABR リア
クターの性能を示した。本論文で得られた知見は、本技術の実用化にあたり重要な知見と
なり得るものである。  
よって、本論文は工学上及び工業上貢献するところが大きく、博士（工学）の学位論文
として十分な価値を有するものと認める。

本論文は，「Course Design Method with ICT-integration into English Education for 
Non-native Learners（ICT を統合した非ネイティブ学習者向け英語教育の授業設計に関
する研究）」と題し，英語を母語としない学習者を対象とした英語（English as a 
Foreign Language, EFL）教育において，情報通信技術（ICT）を活用したより効果的な
教授手法の確立を目指した研究をとりまとめたものであり，6 章から構成されている．  
第 1 章は，本論文の背景・動機および目的について述べている．ICT の教育への活用
が浸透しつつある社会的背景に触れ，特に EFL 教育において，会話能力の涵養には ICT
活用の効果が期待できることを指摘している．そして，本研究が，EFL 教育の学習者お
よび教師に ICT がどのような影響を与え得るかを実践的に明らかにし，それに基づいて
ELF 教育の授業設計手法を構築することを目的としていることを述べている．  
第 2 章は，関連する先行研究についてまとめている．これまでの ICT 活用 EFL 教育の
試みを調査するとともに，ICT 活用が効果を発揮すると考えられる自律学習についての
研究も調査している．  
第 3 章では，ICT 活用教育の様々な理論的フレームワークについての調査し，本研究
における ICT 活用授業の要素を，Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)，Unified 
Theory of Acceptance And Use of Technology (UTAUT) および  Technological 
Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) の各フレームワークの中に位置付けるこ
とを試みている．  
第 4 章では，第 3 章での位置付けに基づいて，EFL 教育における ICT ツールの個々の
適用可能性を評価するとともに，それら評価に基づいて授業の中の個々の利用場面とそれ
に好適な ICT ツールを明確化し，ICT 活用授業の設計指針を与えている．さらに，実践
に向けて授業指導案の具体化を図っている．  
第 5 章では，第 4 章で具体的に作成した指導案に基づき，日本人学生およびベトナム
人学生を対象に授業を実践し，定量的および定性的な学習効果測定，受講生へのアンケー
ト調査，授業中の受講生の態度の観察により多面的に評価している．  
第 6 章では，本研究のまとめが述べられており，EFL 教育における，好適な ICT ツー
ルの選択とそれらを利用した効果的な授業設計の指針が与えられたと結論付けている．  
以上のことから，本論文は工学上及び工業上貢献するところが大きく，博士（工学）の
学位論文として十分な価値を有するものと認める．

本論文は、「Microstructural Factors Influencing Fatigue Crack Growth Mechanism 
in Low-Carbon and High-Carbon Steels (低炭素および高炭素鋼の疲労き裂進展メカニズ
ムに影響を及ぼす微視組織因子 )」と題し、６章より構成されている。  
第１章では、炭素鋼の組織や製造プロセスの概要、疲労メカニズムに及ぼす微視組織の
影響に関する従来の研究の概要を示すとともに、本研究の目的と範囲を述べている。  
第２章では、２種類の低炭素鋼を供試材として疲労メカニズムを検討している。フェラ
イトの粒径と結晶方位がき裂の屈曲や分岐に影響を及ぼすことでき裂進展抵抗が変化する
ことを明らかにしている。また、繰返し塑性域寸法（rcp）とフェライトの平均結晶粒径
（av）の比（rcp/ av）に着目し、rcp/ avが大きい場合にはき裂閉口、小さい場合には応力
遮へい効果がき裂進展抵抗の主要なメカニズムであることを示している。  
第３章では、結晶粒径が大きく、かつ rcp/ avが小さい低炭素鋼を供試材として、疲労メ
カニズムに及ぼす微視組織の影響の詳細を検討している。すべりが結晶方位および結晶粒
界の影響を受けることで疲労き裂の屈曲や分岐が引き起こされること、応力遮へい効果の
影響を考慮したき裂先端応力拡大係数がき裂進展挙動の評価パラメータとして有効である
ことを明らかにしている。  
 第４章では、高炭素鋼である共析綱および過共析綱を供試材として疲労メカニズムを検
討している。いずれの材料もき裂進展の下限界付近ではき裂閉口が、パリス域付近では応
力遮へい効果がき裂進展メカニズムに対して支配的であることを明らかにしている。  
第５章では、初析セメンタイト層の厚さが異なる過共析綱を供試材として疲労メカニズ
ムに及ぼす微視組織の影響の詳細を検討している。き裂進展の下限界付近において、初析
セメンタイト層の厚さが小さい場合にはパーライトのコロニー境界、大きい場合にはパー
ライトのラメラがき裂進展挙動に対して支配的な微視組織因子であることを示している。
また、中・高伝ぱ速度域では、き裂進展挙動に対して支配的な微視組織因子であるパーラ
イトコロニーおよびパーライトブロックの寸法と繰返し塑性域寸法の関係が重要であるこ
とを示し、初析セメンタイト層の厚さが小さい場合にはき裂閉口、大きい場合にはき裂閉
口および応力遮へい効果がき裂進展抵抗の主要因であることを明らかにしている。  
 第６章では、疲労メカニズムの解明および今後の材料開発へ寄与する以上の内容を総括
することで本論文の結論として示すとともに、今後の展望について述べている。  
よって、本論文は工学上及び工業上貢献するところが大きく、博士（工学）の学位論文
として十分な価値を有するものと認める。

It has been known that food-processing by-product has gained potential attention due to its 
unique regeneration. While crab shells become huge waste, those are sources to extract chitin, 
which is the second most abundant polysaccharide concerned with excel lence in non-toxic, bio-
compatible and bio-degradable plastics. Chitin is one of the most distributed biopolymers and the 
most extensive amino-polysaccharide in natural ecology. It could be found in all insect and 
crustaceans as a major component in their exoskeleton, cell walls of fungi, yeast and green algae. 
In general, for the extraction of chitin, the most common way is to use the chemical treatment. 
During this process, the sample is treated with acid to remove the mineral compounds , next, 
immersed in concentrated alkali solution for the deproteinization. After that, the colorization is 
necessary to eliminate the pigment inside the samples. Because of serious situation of sustainable 
problems in earth, in the present work, chitin was targeted to purify  from snow crab shells 
(Chionoecetes opilio) and applied for preparation of functional materials called hydrogel, which is 
defined as the hydrophilic structure having ability to hold an excess amount of water inside their 
three-dimensional polymeric network.  
After the purification of the crab shells, the extracted chitin was characterized by FT-IR 
(Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) and GPC (Gel permeation chromatography) to measure 
the degree of acetylation and the molecular weight distribution. Aft er that, the resultant chitin was 
dissolved in N, N-dimethylacetamine/ lithium chloride (DMAc/ LiCl) and then the viscous solution 
was divided into phase inversion processes to prepared hydrogel films, fibers and composite 
membranes with halloysite nanoclay (HNC).  
For the films, the chitin hydrogels were prepared at different LiCl contents o f 3, 5, 7 and 10 % 
by coagulation process and resultant hydrogels were investigated when the LiCl  concentration was 
varied in the DMAc solution. The shear viscosity of the chitin solution increased with the higher 
amount of the coagulated water, meaning the addition of LiCl delayed the coagulation of chitin 
solution in the presence of water. The viscoelasticity of the chitin solutions indicated the reduction 
of the entangled network at 10 % LiCl. The resultant hydrogels had water content of the chitin 
hydrogels was 387 – 461 % and the tensile strength changed from 285 to 400 kPa, when the LiCl 
concentrations in the solution was changed as 3 and 7 %, respectively. In viscoelasticity, the 
complex modulus of the chitin hydrogels indicated that the increment of the LiCl concentration up 
to 7 % formed the tight hydrogels. The atomic force microscopic (AFM) i mage was found in the

tendency of the formation of the entanglement domains of the chitin segments in the hydrogel at 
the higher chitin concentration.  
In the fibrous chitins, wet spinning was applied for the preparation at different temperature of 
coagulation water in the range of 5-60oC. As results, the fibers had denser structure at higher 
temperature. At 60oC the tensile strength became high in 182 MPa relative to 80 MPa at 5 oC. The 
elastic modulus was enhanced while the equilibrium water content in the fiber significantly 
decreased from 1101 to 335 %. This was effected of the increment of the intermolecular hydrogen 
bonding NH…OC at the preparation temperature.  
In the case of the hydrogel composite, the HNC was formed to membranes with different  loadings 
of 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 4 % and were used for the adsorbents to heavy metal ions. As the results, the 
tensile strength of the hydrogel composite was enhanced from 0.34 to 0.71 N/mm 2 while the 
elongation decreased from 66.43 to 49.93 % with the increment of HNC concentration from 0 to 
4 %. A reduction in the water content and the increment in the modulus confirmed the formation 
of highly dispersed nano-composites with improved interfacial interactions between nano-fillers 
and matrix. In the adsorption experiments of the ternary ion of Pb2+, Cu2+ and Cd2+, the removal 
capacity of Pb  (II) was highly retained by the CTH hydrogel film relative to Cd (II) and Cu (II), 
shown Langmuir model with the maximum binding amount on the hydrogel composites were

The 20th century was the most momentous transformation time; it was time where world 
societies faced enormous challenges due to the advancement of technology innovations, was 
time where maintaining product superior quality, time saving, low-cost production, less 
energy consumption and using green cooling system also became central attention of 
manufacturers, technologists, industries and scholars. These factors are essential and need to 
be managed in such to reflect with the principle of ecological modernization technology 
approach. The question is to what extent these manufacture related risks are effectively 
managed. This study was therefore carried out to analyze and explore both risk at the 
ordinary time and risk at non-ordinary time and proposed a holistic technology development 
evaluation platform approach for promoting risk management in manufacture. First, the 
impact of the factory environment on machine tool performances as one of the risks at the 
ordinary time was analyzed by assessing both manufacture temperature and heat transfer 
coefficient changes. It was used to analyze machine tool precisions due to manufacture of 
environmental fluctuation. Both experimental and FEM simulations were performed for 
validation. Second, identification of Timor Leste electricity sector challenges and the 
possible measures to obtain green energy supply for manufacture and economical 
development needs were undertaken as man-made disaster risks at the non-ordinary time. A 
comprehensive evaluation, interviews and analytical hierarchy process study were done to 
obtain the most priority energy option for the country. It was able to highlight that reforming 
the current electric power system and promoting renewable energy options such as Hydro and 
Solar will not only reduce the country’s annual operational expenditure on the power sector 
but also contributing significantly to environmental protection efforts. Third, the 
environmental impact of using strong alkaline water for cooling during machining was 
assessed by using a simple lifecycle assessment and focused on transportation and machining 
performances. The emissions from energy, fuel and oil consumption of both proposed and 
conventional cooling methods were compared. SAW cooling offers significant advantages 
including inhibiting corrosion, prolonging tool life, improving surface roughness and 
reducing annual global warming potential by 72.95 %. Fourth, research the earthquake 
impacts on machine tool performances was conducted as part of risks due to natural 
phenomena. Mathematical models for parallel, rotational and turnover motions were 
developed to analyze machine tool motion behaviors during a seismic event. A mock-up 
structure was used for experimental performances to mimic earthquake motion and real Japan 
earthquake acceleration data were used for calculating machine tool motion behavior 
regarding the developed models.  It shows that the calculation accuracy of using the model

was up-to 60 %. Last, multi-dimensional analysis of the Double-Eco roller technology model 
was conducted as an effective approach for promoting risk management in manufacture. The 
overall Eco-Index of roller technology was estimated based on environmental, mechanical 
performances and risks for safety parameters evaluation. These parameters were evaluated 
through several approaches such as simple LCA and Mahalanobis Taguchi methods. It was 
noted that there is a significant improvement in all parameters with 87.5 % DE-Index as
