No full textThe text presents a methodological approach to restoration from the point of view of a Ministry with a well-established tradition, mainly from the diagnostic and operational viewpoint. The topics dealt with include post-restoration monitoring and new methods for laser cleaning, also for paintings. Finally a suggestion is made for a revision of the largest restoration works of the past thirty years in order to assess, on the basis of the experience acquired, the progress and knowledge achieved, the various methods, approaches, successes and failures

On the other hand, mention is made of the fact that, within the difficult relation between Arts and Science, these are actually two different ways of "describing the world"

Its offices are in Rome and it is involved not only in studies and experiments in the area of archive assets but also in the training of staff for the State Archives and other administrations. It is a point of reference for Archives with respect to the various questions related to the preservation of documents. A description is given of the different services provided for their storage and restorarion; mention is also made of the activities carried out by the biological, chemical and technological laboratories that led to the publication of technical and technical-scientific papers of national and international relevance

No full textThe paper is a critical presentation and discussion of documentation demonstrating illegal elements in Italian judicial proceedings against the Templars; in particular the author identifies cases of violation of the confidentiality principle typical of the Medieval investigation procedure as well as cases of violation of the legal principle known as "ne bis in idem" which originated in Roman times but emerged again and became consolidated with the rediscovery of Roman law during the Middle Ages to safeguard people who had been acquitted. The latter could not be subject to another criminal or investigation proceeding for the same facts, even if considered differently in terms of title, degree and circumstances
