    Sebaran Spasial Intrusi Air Laut di Wilayah Pesisir Teluk Banten dan Alternatif Upaya Pengendaliannya

    Degradasi lingkungan wilayah pesisir terutama pada ekosistem mangrove terbukti menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan multisektor salah satunya berupa fenomena penyusupan air laut ke daratan atau intrusi air laut. Alih fungsi hutan manrove menjadi areal pertambakan merupakan salah satu pemicu utama terjadinya degradasi ekosistem mangrove termasuk yang terjadi di pesisir Teluk Banten. Di sisi lain, mangrove mempunyai fungsi sebagai pengendali intrusi air laut. Saat ini masyarakat Desa Tonjong, Pamengkang, Banten, dan Sawah Luhur harus membeli air tawar untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum sehari hari karena kondisi air sumurnya terasa payau. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran spasial dan tingkat intrusi air laut serta alternatif upaya pengendalian berbasis ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan yaitu interpolasi parameter fisika dan kimia serta analisis rasio klorida-bikarbonat (Cl-/HCO3-+CO3-). Analisis dengan metode interpolasi mendapatkan hasil bahwa seluruh area penelitian telah terintrusi air laut berdasarkan parameter DHL dan klorida. Nilai DHL di 13 stasiun berada pada rentang nilai 1567 µmhos/cm hingga 9754 µmhos/cm, sedangkan nilai klorida menunjukkan rentang nilai 899,72 mg/L hingga 4838,50 mg/L. Analisis rasio klorida-bikarbonat mendapatkan nilai Revelle Index (RI) mulai dari 1,82 hingga 12,17 yang menandakan intrusi air laut terjadi mulai dari tingkat sedang hingga tinggi. Daerah terintrusi sedang mencakup area seluas 6,05 km2, terintrusi agak tinggi seluas 27,96 km2, danterintrusi tinggi seluas 3,05 km2. Distribusi spasial nilai DHL dan klorida yang cukup tinggi terkonsentrasi di dua lokasi yaitu Kelurahan Banten dan Sawah Luhur. Rehabilitasi ekosistem mangrove merupakan salah satu upaya yang tepat untuk mengendalikan intrusi air laut, termasuk pada areal pertambakan dengan pola silvofishery

    Prospek Penerapan Traceability Perikanan Udang Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Cilacap (Implementation Prospects For Traceability of Shrimp Fisheries In Cilacap Oceanic Fishing Port)

    Cilacap is one of the shrimp exporter areas in Indonesia. The exported shrimp from this area is mostly dominated by aquaculture and capture fisheries. The prospect of shrimp catch traceability has not been applied because it is still complicated in term of information about the fishing ground of shrimp and shrimp catch data from supplier and lack of governance. Shrimp fisheries in Cilacap are dominated by small-scale fisheries that usually have not been certified and may be affected by international commerce. Based on that explanation, it is important to conduct a study about shrimp traceability readiness in Cilacap. A purposive sampling and accidental sampling method were used in this research, accompanied by descriptive content analysis. The result shows that the readiness of Cilacap shrimp fisheries is still in the stage of concept preparation. The standard value of handling and processing shrimp according to Indonesian National Standard. Facilities that support the traceability system function properly. Enumeration intervention may be used to support a proper small-scale fisheries traceability in Cilacap

    Pari Kekeh (Rhynchobatus sp.) dan Pari Kikir (Glaucostegus sp.) merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak jenis ikan yang tertangkap oleh jaring cantrang di PPP Tasik Agung Rembang. Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir saat ini sedang menjadi perhatian dunia internasional karena penangkapannya yang semakin hari semakin meningkat tanpa adanya peraturan yang membatasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aspek-aspek ekonomi dan finansial dalam usaha penangkapan Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir di PPP Tasik Agung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Metode penarikan sampel yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah NPV, IRR, R/C Ratio dan PP. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa modal yang diperlukan untuk usaha penangkapan ikan dengan alat tangkap cantrang adalah Rp. 1.781.609.375. Pendapatan rata-rata sebesar Rp. 2.127.652.297/th dengan biaya total Rp. 1.567.159.375/th mendapatkan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 560.492.922/th. Proporsi tangkapan Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir dalam usaha penangkapan cantrang sebesar 1,06%. Pendapatan usaha penangkapan Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir sebesar Rp. 60.276.563/th dengan biaya total Rp. 15.994.788/th menghasilkan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 44.281.774/th. Analisis finansial usaha penangkapan cantrang diperoleh nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 2.116.505.428, IRR sebesar 24,1%, R/C Ratio usaha penangkapan cantrang sebesar 1,37, R/C Ratio untuk usaha penangkapan Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir sebesar 3,79 dan PP sebesar 5,27. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah usaha penangkapan Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir di PPP Tasik Agung Rembang dinyatakan menguntungkan akan tetapi perlu adanya pengelolaan terhadap penangkapannya agar Pari Kekeh dan Pari Kikir yang tersisa diperairan dapat terkontrol jumlahnya

    Apllication of Ovaprim and Oxytocin Hormone for Gonadal Maturation and Embryogenesis of the Pomfret (Colossoma mropomum)

    The pomfret fish have been widely cultured by fish culturist in Indonesia. However, the gonadal maturation have faced the obstacles with the hormone supplies for the culturists. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the dose of ovaprim and the oxytocin hormone in accelerating gonadal maturation as well the embryogenesis of  the pomfret fish by semi-natural spawning methods. The study was conducted from September to November 2019 at the Laboratory of Fish Seedling Production, at  Baros District, Serang Regency. The number of fish used was 18 fishes (12 males and 6 females), for each spawning treatment have been used 2 males and 1 female. The experiments were using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 combinations of treatments and 2 replications. The treatments used were as follows: 0.5 ml / kg ovaprim (K), 0.5 ml / kg ovaprim + 0.25 ml / kg oxytocin (P1), 0.25 ml / kg ovaprim + 0.25 ml / kg oxytocin (P2). The results showed that the use of combination of ovaprim and oxytocin (P1 and P2) was able to stimulate the maturity and spawning of the pomfret fish. The oxytocin injection to induce the spawning have been increased the latency time and increased the fecundity of the pomfret fish. The best hormonal combination treatment in resulting the gonadal maturation and egg hatching was that of  the P2 with the fastest latency time was 614.50 ± 13.44 minutes, the fecundity was 460,134 ± 72,597, fertilization rate  was 80.28 ± 3.11% and hatching rate was 77.08 ± 0.16%

    The Study of Formaldehyde and Borax Content on Salted Fish from Several Markets in Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir, Riau

    Fisheries and marine sector is one of the potential sectors in Indragiri Hilir district, Riau. Local fishermen make efforts to preserve the catch by salting it. Although salt can extend product shelf life, there are still many salted fish producers that add formaldehyde and borax to reduce production costs. The addition of formaldehyde and borax is carried out with the aim of extending product shelf life so that producers do not lose. The aim of this study was to determine the presence of formalin and borax content in salted fish products in several markets in Tembilahan. The sampling method in this study was simple random sampling by taking three different samples of salted fish, namely salted belukang, salted kembung, and salted gulama in three different markets in Tembilahan. Samples were tested for formalin and borax using test kit. The results of the qualitative formalin content test showed that from 9 samples of salted fish from several Tembilahan markets, there were 5 positives samples containing formaldehyde. The five samples were salted salted fish belukang, salted fish kembung, salted fish gulama from central market, and salted fish gulama and salted fish kembung from Parit 11 market. In the other hand, the salted fish samples were also tested qualitatively for borax content test. The qualitative test results of borax on 9 samples from several markets in Tembilahan showed no color change on the turmeric paper after immersion in the sample solution. This indicates that all salted fish samples is negative for borax content

    Types of Sex And Development of Gonad Protoginic Rice Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) After Hormone Stimulation

    This study aims to analyze the effect of estradiol (E2) and methyltestosterone (MT) combined with hCG on the composition of sex and the gonad development of protogynous humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis). The fish experiment 13±1,5g of body weight in the nursery phase. Treatment with a estradiol solution of 3 mg mL–1+ hCG 20 IU mL–1(CE), MT 3mg mL–1+ hCG 20 IU mL–1(CM), estradiol 3 mg mL–1 (E), MT 3 mg mL–1 (M) and 9 mg mL–1 NaCl to control (K). Hormone with dose 1 mL kg–1 was injected on dorsal fin base, with frequency of six times and periode of two weeks. The fish are kept in a 500 liters fiberglass container with a calm water system for 11 months. Fish were fed pellets with protein content of 46% twice daily. The study used a completely randomized design with one treatment factor, the hormone and its combination. Giving hormones with combination, i.e. treatmenth CE and CM was effective to increase the percentage of gonad development with GSI value 0.4161±0.0978% and 0.4161±0.1055%, whilw HSI on CE 0.6456±0.0419% and CM 0.5797±0.1069%  The gonadal histologic observation showed transition pattern and sex change from female to male at treatment M and CM. The MT hormone is able to stimulate masculinization and its performance is more effective when combined with hCG, 90% from sample population. The development of female gonads in the phases of oogonia and male of masculinization result in the phase of spermatogonia

    Analysis of Seagrass Condition Thalassia hemprichii in Kabung Island Waters, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan

    Seagrass is one of the important ecosystems and habitats for marine organisms. Thalassia hemprichii is one of the seagrass species in Kabung Island Waters. Studies on seagrass ecosystem conditions must be carried out as initial information for integrated aquatic management. Analysis of seagrass ecosystem conditions includes density and coverage percentage. Seagrass data was collected using the line transect method with a length of 50 cm and quadrants transect of 1 m x 1 m perpendicular to the coastline toward the sea. The density of T. hemprichii at Stations I and II were 50.83 and 68.27 ind/m2, respectively. The average coverage percentage at Stations I and II were 5.05% and 5.85%, respectively. These ecosystem conditions could be categorized as rare density. Physico-chemical parameters of the waters of Kabung Island including temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), water visibility, depth, and current have been carried out. The Kabung Island waters have a salinity of 32-33‰, temperature 29-30oC, and pH 8.0-8.4. The depth and water visibility of the seagrass habitat was 0.6 m. The current velocity was 0.07-0.29 m/s. These parameters were optimum conditions for seagrass life. However, the dissolved oxygen in Kabung Island was low at 2.2-4 mg/L

    ESTIMASI KANDUNGAN BIOMASSA DAN KARBON PADA KOMUNITAS MANGROVE DI KOTA TARAKAN, KALIMANTAN UTARA

    Ekosistem mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem yang berperan dalam mengurangi kabon di udara, dan menyimpan karbon dari udara dalam bentuk biomassa pada bagian tubuh tumbuhan mangrove termasuk batang. Penelitian tentang estimasi cadangan karbon ini sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang perbaikan iklim dunia. Karena saat ini dunia sedang mengalami krisis global yang disebut climate change. Selain dapat mengurangi karbon di udara, pohon mangrove yang tumbuh secara baik dapat menunjang kehidupan biota perairan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji struktur vegetasi mangrove, mengestimasi biomassa dan simpanan carbon yang terdapat pada kawasan hutan mangrove, mengkaji parameter kawasan perairan yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan mangrove dan mengkaji hubungan mangrove dengan perikanan di Kota Tarakan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling method  dan observatif, dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan kondisi ekosistem mangrove yang bervariasi. Setiap stasiun penelitian dibagi menjadi 6 plot penelitian untuk menghitungan nilai biomassa tegakan digunakan rumus allometrik untuk mengestimasi cadangan karbon pada tegakan mangrove. Pengukuran kualitas air dilakukan secara langsung dilapangan sesuai SNI. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa terdapat 9 jenis mangrove. Estimasi total karbon pada tiga stasiun adalah sebesar 11.140,1376 ton. Kualitas air sebagai faktor pembatas pertumbuhan mangrove pada ketiga stasiun memenuhi kriteria Baku Mutu Air Laut untuk Biota Laut menurut Kepmen LH N0.51 Tahun 2004.
