Analysis of Social Network Generation Methods for Home Location Estimation in Japan
The home locations of Twitter users can be estimated using a social network, which is generated by various relationships between users. There are many network-based location estimation methods with user relationships. However, the estimation accuracy of various methods and relationships is unclear. In this study, we estimate the users’home locations using four network-based location estimation methods on four types of social networks in Japan. We have obtained two results. (1) In the location estimation methods, the method that selects the most frequent location among the friends of the user shows the highest precision and recall. (2) In the four types of social networks, the relationship of follower has the highest precision and recall.journal articl

A Rate-Distortion Theoretic View of Dirichlet Process Means Clustering
ディリクレ過程平均法はクラスタリングの代表的手法であるK-平均法を拡張した手法であり,クラスタ数をデータから推定することができる.クラスタ数を指定する代わりに,ペナルティパラメータと呼ばれるしきい値を指定する必要があるが,ペナルティパラメータの変化に対するクラスタ数の振る舞いは未だに明らかにされていない.本研究では,ペナルティパラメータとクラスタ数の対数を次元で割った値との組がそれぞれレートひずみ理論における最大ひずみとレートに対応することに着目し,データ数とデータの次元が無限大の極限において,ペナルティパラメータに対応するクラスタ数の曲線がレートひずみ曲線に近づくことを示す.数値実験により,学習データ数が有限であることの影響を受けにくいレートが0 の近辺において,レートひずみ曲線に近づくことを確認し,ペナルティパラメータと学習データ中の最大ひずみとの対応を示す.journal articl
Properties of garnet-type Li6La3ZrTaO12 solid electrolyte films fabricated by aerosol deposition method
The garnet-type Li6La3ZrTaO12 (LLZT) solid electrolyte films were fabricated by aerosol deposition (AD) method. Ball-milled LLZT powder with a cubic garnet structure and a particle size of 1–2 µm was used as raw material and deposited directly on a SUS316L or a glass substrate via impact consolidation. As-deposited LLZT film has a cubic garnet structure but contains Li2CO3 and La2Zr2O7 phases. SEM observation revealed that the film consists of LLZT particles fractured into submicron size. The impurity phase formation during AD process was caused by the local heating by the collision between LLZT particles and deposition surface and reaction with CO2. The Li+ ion conductivity of LLZT film was estimated to be 0.24 × 10−5 S cm−1 at room temperature. Electronic conductivity of LLZT film was confirmed to be around 10–12 S cm−1, indicating the dominant Li+ ion conduction of LLZT film.journal articl
