PENGARUH LAMA PENYIMPANAN SETELAH DIPERAH TERHADAP pH, BERAT JENIS DAN JUMLAH KOLONI BAKTERI SUSU KERBAU
The aim of the present research was to study the quality changes of buffalo’s milk stored in different time period after milking. About 10 liters of fresh buffalo milk which were obtained from Lembah Gumanti, Solok district were used in the experiment. The milk was divided and placed into four groups and stored in room temperature for 4 different time periods: 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours immediately after milking. Parameter measured included: pH, specific gravity and colony number of bacteria. Data was statistically analyzed by variance analysis in Block Randomized Design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates. The results indicated that there was significant effect (P<0.01) among the treatment on the characteristic of buffalo milk. It showed that increasing of the storage time after milking have decreased pH and increased specific gravity and bacteria count
Analisa Manajemen Dan Efisiensi Penyediaam Pakan Ayam Pada Poultry Shop
The objectives of this research were to determine the optimum quantity of feed stocked or ordered which gave the most economic efficiency in daily management practices of poultry- shop. The case study was conducted at Rajawali poultry shop, located in Lubuk Begalung sub district, Padang city. Data or information collected included: kind of feed stocked; volume and time schedule of feed ordered; procedures and cost of feed ordering, handling, storage and distribution. The data were statistically analyzed by using Economic Order Quantity Method. The results showed that the poultry shop was applied good stock management practices. The quantity and frequency of feed ordered of 69,784 kg for every 2 days was found the most optimum management practices which might save cost of about Rp. 9,064,874 for the year of 2006
Potensi Buah Nipah Tua (Nypa Fruticans Wurmb) Sebagai Bahan Pakan Ternak
A field survey has been conducted to study the potency of fruit of palm grown in West Sumatra for animal feedstuff. Three coastal areas which were identified as most populated palm plant in West Sumatra were selected as study sites, i.e., Padang city and the districts of Padang Pariaman and Pesisir Selatan. Five clusters of palm were randomly selected in each selected site and then bunches of their fruit were identified. The bunches were divided into 4 groups based on maturity status: very young, young, mature and old fruit bunches. The old fruits were then harvested, weighed and processed to separate their endosperm part. After weighing, the endosperm were then dried and ground for chemical analysis. Parameters measured included: number of bunch, old fruit and their endosperm weigh, nutrient content of endosperm. The data were statistically analysis for variance analysis in completely block design with 3 treatments and 3 blocks as replicates. Results shown that the highest number of bunches was found by the old fruit (6.7 bunches/cluster), followed by the very young fruits (2.7), mature fruit (1.7) and young fruit (1.5). About 22 % of old fruit consisted of endosperm part. The endosperm contains about 16 % crude protein, very low crude fat of 0.6 %, but considerably high crude fiber of about 50.5 %
Identifikasi Alternatif Pengembangan untuk Pemberdayaan Industri Kecil Hasil Peternakan Potensial di Kabupaten Bogor
The objectives of the study were to identify potency for development and possibilities for empowerment of small scale livestock product processing industries located in Bogor regency. A field survey has been conducted to collect information and data from some small scale industries which process different animal products of meat, milk, skin, bone, feather and slaughter house. Data collected included: human resources, capital, technology adapted, organization, product, marketing, government support, raw materials and market competitor. Data was analyzed by using the methods of AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) and Fuzzy NN – MCDM (Non Numeric Multi Criteria Decision Making). The results found that the most potency for development of small scale industry for animal product processing were the industries processing meat and milk. The most important aspect needed for empowerment was marketing
Potensi Sapi Lokal Dalam Upaya Mewujudkan Kecukupan Daging Dan Pengembangan Kawasan Peternakan
The present paper discussed the contribution of animal production on protein consumption of the people of Indonesia. The quite protein intake is mainly caused the limited sources of food protein, which was indicated by relatively high price of animal praduct for food. In the contrary, Indonesia have many kinds indegineuous livestock animals, which have became a part of socio-economic live of the people, like Bali and Pesisir cattle
