Resilience of Mothers Who Have Down Syndrome Children in Sidoarjo: Resiliensi Ibu Yang Memiliki Anak Down Syndrome Di Sidoarjo
The aim of this study was to describe the characteristics and resilience factors for mothers who have children experiencing Down Syndrome. That is factors that help mother finds the strength to face the problem. The method was a qualitative exploratory study using three subjects 30-45 years old mother who has a child with Down syndrome and has resilience. The determination of the subject used purposive sampling techniques and located in some places according to the agreement of subject and significant others. Data collection methods used were interviews equipped with general guidelines as well as the recording field. The results showed that each mother were different in terms of characteristics and resilience factors and differences in educational factors, economic and employment background. Factors that affected the subject resilience also have differences. Some of the factors supporting emerging resilience, the family support factor was the support obtained by the subject
Work Spirit and Implementation of Nursing Care at the Kolaka General Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi: Semangat Kerja Dan Pelaksanaan Asuhan Keperawatan Di Rumah Sakit Umum Kolaka Sulawesi Tenggara
The implementation of nursing care that has not been done optimally, it has became a common problem in the most of government hospitals in Indonesia. Many customers feel not dissatisfied for health care services received from government hospitals. Work motivation is considered as one of the factors that influence the implementation of nursing care in hospital. It is can provide quality health services in hospital which expected by customers. The focus of this study was about how influence of Work motivation to the implementation of nursing care, especially in the Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU)Kolaka in Southeast Sulawesi. The study was designed as a quantitative. The population in this study were all nurses who worked at the RSU Kolaka. All the population in this study were the civil servants (PNS).The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling, so that the sample used in this research consisted of 53 nurses. Analysis of the data used was a simple linear regression analysis. The results of study showed thatthe work motivation contributed 15.6%to the implementation of nursing care (R2 = 0.156) in the RSU Kolaka Southeast Sulawesi
Anxiety and Self-Reinforcement in Advanced Semester Students: Kecemasan Dan Self-Reinforcement Pada Mahasiswa Semester Lanjut
Students who have not completed their study within the specified time limit indicated that they have psychological problems during doing the final task that trigger their anxiety. While the anxiety experienced by Students correlated with the frequency of self-reinforcement against them. This study aimed to determine the differences in the level of anxiety in terms of the frequency of self-reinforcement to Students who exceed the time limit. This study used quantitative methods to collect comparative data through the Taylor's Manifest Anxiety Scale instrument and Frequency of Self Reinforcement Questionnaire. The number of subjects were 123 students. The results showed that there were differences in anxiety levels significantly between students who have a high frequency of self-reinforcement tostudents with low frequency of self-reinforcement
Constructive Communication Patterns of Students in Facing Psychological Pressure in Completing Final Projects: Pola Komunikasi Konstruktif Mahasiswa Dalam Menghadapi Tekanan Psikologis Dalam Menyelesaikan Tugas Akhir
Generally most students are feeling tense and depressed in finishing the final project. This condition if it doesn’t proportionately respond it will cause severe reactions such as depression feeling that will make them can’t complete their studies. This research is aiming to obtain a precise pattern of constructive communication among students in order to maintain the spirit when they faced psychological pressure while completing the final project. This study was matching methods approach which conducted at higher education institutions in Gresik. The subjects were the students who are taking the final project. Data collection did by Report Cards Card System, depth interviews and Focus Group Discussion. The data was analyzed by triangulation method. Research found in facing of psychological distress, students develop social communication patterns by opening discussion forum, telling the problem directly, asking for technical assistance, keeping and grumbling the problems and isolate their self. The constructive communication patterns that can be developed by students is providing mutual support group, sharing experiences, maintaining communication with the supervisor, discussing the issues, asking each other’s progress, and pulling away to reduce the exchange of information in order to maintain concentration in finishing the final project
Social and Psychosocial Impacts for Refugees Post Conflict Between Sunni - Shia in Sampang Madura: Dampak Sosial Dan Psikososial Bagi Pengungsi Pasca Konflik Antara Sunni - Syiah Di Sampang Madura
Horizontal conflicts involving religious issues in Indonesia is still very dominant. The conflict between Sunni and Shia in Sampang Madura is the one case of the large impact. the case that occurred on August 26, 2012 has caused in one person died, dozens of people were injured, dozens of homes burned and hundreds of Shias were evacuated. This phenomenon has encouraged me to analyze the psychosocial and social impacts experienced by refugees. This research was focused to the background of horizontal conflict that occured between Sunni and Shia in Sampang, Madura; Conflict resolution efforts, the psychosocial and social impacts for Refugees Shi'ites in Rusun Puspa Agro Jemundo Sidoarjo? This study has used descriptive qualitative. The subject of the research was focused on Shiites who has been evacuating in Jemundo Sidoarjo. The results of this study showed that the conflict was influenced by many factors: ideological, family conflict, economic motive, and local politics. The conflict resolution has been conducted in several stages: stages of de-escalation; stages of humanitarian intervention and political negotiations; stages of problem solving approach; and the last, Peace of building stages; which includes the transition, reconciliation, and consolidation. The social impacts of refugees in Jemundo Sidoarjo were Loss of residence; Loss of livelihood sources; created a dependency with others; For children, they can not access a proper education as well as have been experiencing disorders of psychological development; The refugees have not have basic freedoms: Limited access to health social services; Moreover, there will be impoverishment in the long term
Peer Social Support, Personality Type, and Smoking Tendency in SMK(T) Students in Sidoarjo District: Social Support Teman Sebaya, Tipe Kepribadian, Dan Kecenderungan Merokok Pada Siswa SMK(T) Di Kecamatan Sidoarjo
Smoking is a one of a juvenile delinquency. However, if it is not handled properly, it will have an impact on adolescent tendency to a higher juvenile. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between peer social support and personality type with a trend of smoking on SMK Students in Sidoarjo. The hypothesis was that there is a positive relationship between social support of SMK Students (T) with a trend to smoke, there is a positive correlation between the personality type of vocational students (T) with a trend to smoke, and there is a positive relationship between social support and personality type with a trend to smoke. This research used three variables: two independent variables X1: peer social support, X2: personality type; and the dependent variable Y: the trends in smoking of SMK Students in Sidoarjo. The research data analysis used multiple correlation technique using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The results obtained with the correlation coefficient ρ-0.073 (0.146)> 0.05, meaning that peer social support variables relationship with smoking trends were not significant; the correlation coefficient r with ρ 0.006 (0.904)> 0.05, meaning that the personality type variable relationship with smoking trends were not significant. These results showed that the hypothesis of the reseach were not proven
Emotional Intelligence and Smoking Tendency in High School Adolescents in Sidoarjo: Kecerdasan Emosional Dan Kecenderungan Merokok Pada Remaja SLTA Di Sidoarjo
The background of of this research was the tendency of smoking behavior that was not only dominated by adults, but also the youth (high school), both inside and outside of school. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence with a tendency to smoke at high school students. This study was a correlational study, the independent variable (X) was emotional intelligence, the ability to recognize our own feelings and the feelings of others, the ability to motivate oneself, as well as the ability to manage emotions well in ourselves and in relationships with others. The dependent variable (Y) was the tendency of smoking, which is the inclination to perform activities in accordance with the desire for an activity without any coercion from outside but from within the individual himself. The subjects of this study were students of class XII SMK 3 Buduran in Sidoarjo totaled 392 students, and the number of samples were 186 students (based on Table Krejcie with error level of 5%), which was taken by simple random sampling. Data collection instruments such as emotional intelligence scale and scale trends in smoking. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis Pearson Product Moment correlation. The analysis showed there was a significant negative relationship between emotional intelligence and trends in smoking (r = -0.711; ρ = 0.000; ρ <0.05). This result means, higher emotional intelligence, the lower the tendency of smoking in class XII SMK 3 Buduran in Sidoarjo, and vice versa

Internet network had been developed over the years and its utilization has also increased and extended to various fields including midwives venturing into online business. Online transaction can be performed through digital media and do not require a direct meeting between the seller and the buyer. Online purchase is called with an e-commerce where the system continues to experience growth. As this growth there is a lot of cheating and fraud. The number does not decrease the negative impact of buying interest someone through e-commerce. There are two variables are taken into consideration, namely the emergence of persistent involvement in social networks and the prudence of a person due to lack of trust after fraud. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a person's involvement in social networks and caution against the persistence of online customers who have experienced fraud. Community Participation in Poverty Alleviation Efforts Based on Women's Empowerment through the P3EL Program in Sidoarjo Regency: Partisipasi Masyarakat Terhadap Upaya Pengentasan Kemiskinan Berbasis Pemberdayaan Perempuan Melalui Program P3EL Kabupaten Sidoarjo
Women are the group most severely affected by poverty, especially in case of food insecurity. As a result of these conditions, pregnant mothers could malnutrition that can potentially give birth in poor mental or health condition. Poverty reduction is not merely the issue of capital and technical skills, but also how to evoke the feeling of being able to overcome problems of their lives in a dignified manner. Empowerment of poor women do in order to find the effort that poor women can actively participate in any activities for poverty alleviation. This study aims to assess community participation, particularly of women to poverty alleviation efforts based on empowerment. This research was descriptive-exploratory using primary data sources from interviews and secondary data sources of written documents on the implementation of the Programme P3EL in Sidoarjo. Subjects were members P3EL program in 2012 and the BPMPKB (particularly the PUE) as the implementing program. The results showed that the model of participation of members to poverty alleviation efforts based on the empowerment of women through P3EL program were in the form of energy, thoughts, and cooperation. Intensity of Watching Violent Shows on Television and Tendency to Aggressiveness in Adolescents (Study of Class IX Students of MTS Negeri 1 Bangil): Intensitas Menonton Tayangan Kekerasan Di Televisi Dan Kecenderungan Agresivitas Pada Remaja (Studi Pada Siswa Kelas IX MTS Negeri 1 Bangil)
Many violence cases as brawls and fights whose committed by juveniles were caused by many factors. This study aimed to find out the relationship between the intensity of watching violence on television with aggressiveness tendencies in adolescents. This study used a quantitative correlation approach that using the intensity watching violence on television as an independent variable (X) and the tendency of aggressiveness as the dependent variable (Y). The sampling technique used random sampling to 69 students of class IX in MTs Negeri 1 Bangil. Measurement of variables used both of two psychologycal scales that constructed by researchers, namely the intensity of watching violence on television scale and aggressiveness tendency scale. Correlation technique of product moment from Pearson was used to analyze data which of calculation helped by SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The result showed that (r) = 0.404; ρ = 0.001 < ρ = 0.01. It means, there is a significant relationship and positive, the higher of the intensity of watching violence on television, the higher of the aggressiveness tendencies in adolescents and vice versa
