Evaluasi kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka perpustakaan STAIN Curup menggunakan standar yang dikembangkan ACRL
This study aims to identify and evaluate user ability of information literacy STAIN Curup’s Library,by applying the model Information Literacy Competency Standards developed by Association of Collegeand Research Libraries (ACRL). This type of research is analytical descriptive. The population inthis study are all users of STAIN Curup’s Library from semester I, III, V, VII, IX, the number ofusers are 2760. The sampling taken with Accidental sampling technique. Data collection techniquesusing questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Mechanical processing of data by the datachecking (Editing), give the code (Coding) and data preparation (Tabulation). While the techniqueof data analysis using descriptive analysis. The results of this research generally shows that 59% ofrespondents always include the author’s name and the source on any citations in their work. Thisshows that users are already have the ability to understanding the problems of economics, law andsocial associated with use of information legally and by ethics. Furthermore, 41% of respondentsalways formulate steps when going to search information. It shows most users are formulate the firstthings that will look for the information. Then 52% of respondents always use strategies in searchof information. From these results, it can be concluded that most users are have good informationliteracy skills in finding the information they need

This study discusses the competencies of librarians at State Islamic University (UIN) SyarifHidayatullah Jakarta in facing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The purpose of the researchis to analyze the competencies of librarians at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and their readiness toface the competitiveness in the AEC era. This study uses questionnaires for data collection supoortedby observation and interviews. Descriptive analysis is employed for data analysis. The finding of theresearch shown that the librarian of the State Islamic University (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah havefulfiled the required comptencies but have not been ready to compete in the AEC era so that they needto strengthen their competencies
Produktivitas dosen UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta pada jurnal terindeks Scopus: suatu kajian bibliometrik
This study measures the productivity of UIN Jakarta lecturers’ authorship in Scopus indexed journal, by calculating and analyzing the number of published scientific papers, collaboration level and collaboration index, and lecturer productivity of UIN Jakarta under Lotka Law. The research method used is descriptive research with quantitative approach. Data analysis was done by bibliometric study. The results showed that there are 447 scientific works written by 114 lecturers of UIN Jakarta has been published in Scopus indexed journal during the period of 2002 - July 2017. The degree of collaboration of UIN Jakarta lecturers in writing scientific papers is 0.74, while the lecturer collaboration index UIN lecturer Jakarta in writing scientific paper is 0.255. Based on Lotka’s Law, the sole authorship of UIN Jakarta lecturers in Scopus indexed journals only resulted in 0.034 (3%) of the overall publication results. Thus it can be concluded that the productivity of UIN Jakarta lecturers in producing fewer individual scien-tific works than in collaboration

This paper discusses the elements, sub-elements and some activity items covered in the Permen-pan 9/2014, accompanied by Regulation of the Head of National Library of Indonesia Number 11 of 2015 on technical guidance on librarian functional and its credit. This reading aims to identify the opportunities and challenges of the implementation of such a rule focusing on the academic li-braries. This study is focused on several items that are considered new and important to extending roles of college libraries in this digital era. The two items discussed are information literacy and pathfinder. Information literacy and scholarly communication are discussed in specific sub-chap-ters to show the breadth of information literacy within the context of today’s university libraries, the digital age

This paper deals with the role of academic librarians in higher education program. The focus ofthe study is to explain the roles of academic librarians as research partner in the higher educationprograms. Based on the analysis of the literatures, it was found that academic librarians have astrategic role in successing the research program. There are three main roles of academic librariansin the research activities, that are providing information research services, conducting research skillstraining, and assisting academic members in publishing and disseminating the research findings.Furthermore, the Librarians serve and assist the researchers individually in performing the researchactivities, as well as arrange and implement programs in groups or classes program in teachingresearch skills through information literacy program. Through the teaching of information literacy,the academicians are provided the ability to identify the sources of information, the ability to searchinformation, and the ability to manage the citations
Implementasi pengelolaan digital institutional repository pada perpustakaan PTKIN dan dampaknya pada terhadap pemeringkatan di webometrics
An institution which creates and organizes accessible information resources both local and remote based on information technology, remains to be one of interesting topics discussed by academicians and practitioners in Library and Information nowadays. This digitized infor-mation which is called as ‘institutional repository’ relates to one of researches in digital library management. This repository is developed not only to provide access easily and globally or to create digital archieve as long-term stable resources to ensure their quality and survivability, but it is also addressed to institutional prestige and excellence. Therefore, it is more often viewed as institutional ranking both national and international that we call as the webometrics repository. However, librarians have challenge and opportunity to compete for the best insti-tution in organizing the repository. The competition has been lasting among PTKIN’s libraries (libraries in State Islamic University) which participate and devote highly attention to organize and develop their repositories. In this case, how do the PTKIN libraries organize their reposi-tories and to what extent the organizing has impact on ranking webometics of repository? This paper is trying to elaborate addressed to the questions by doing research into six PTKIN’s libraries using quantitative method. Indicators to evaluate in organizing the repository use the same indicators as webometrics’ standards. They are size, visibility, rich files, and scholar. The findings show that organizing the repository has been conducted by three PTKIN’s libraries (UIN Yogyakarta, UIN Jakarta, and UIN Riau) which reached the higher score from 1 to 3 respectively. These results are in line with place of three institutions in ranking webometrics. Meanwhile, another three PTKIN’s libraries (UIN Malang, UIN Bandung, dan UIN Makasar) have very different score with the aforementioned three PTKIN’s libraries. The repository of last three PTKIN’s libraries shows that there is no one of them registered in the ranking webo-metrics. In conclusion, organizing of the repository in six PTKIN’s libraries has relevant impact on the ranking webometrics
Efektivitas pelatihan ORS (Online Research Skills) untuk mendukung studi dan penelitian mahasiswa di UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang
The focus of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of Online Research Skill (ORS) trainingprogram in supporting students to study and conduct their research at UIN Maulana MalikIbrahim Malang. The purpose is to explore how effective the ORS training in supporting theirstudy performance. This study used research quantitative method with Kirkpatrick model approachadded. Kirkpatrick Model is used to evaluate the effectiveness of ORS training program at the levelof participants’ reaction and participants training process. In general, the result of the study foundthat the training is effective, and by 86.5% have contributed to the achievement of training objectives.However, the training still needs some improvements, specifically the use of more advanced mediatechnology for the next courses. Thus, based on those results, the researchers recommend that the LIORScurriculum need to be revised/improved based on participants’ views and SCONUL curriculum
Dukungan koleksi pusat perpustakaan UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta bagi aktivitas penelitian dosen
This article discuses the evaluation of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Library collection.The focus of evaluation is on book collections that have been cited by the lecturers in theirresearch activites. By using citation analysis, the objective of the evaluation is to measurehow the book collection at the Center Library of UIN Jakarta fulfill the information resourcesneeded by the lecturer (researcher) in the university. The population of this evaluation are allof books cited by the UIN Jakarta lecturers in their research report in 2014. The number ofthe population are 4.999 books (titles), and 539 titles of them (more than 10%) were taken assamples. The samples of the book have verified with the UIN Jakarta Center Library Catalog(TULIS) to ensure if the books are avalaible at the collection or not.The findingt of this research is among 539 books title, only 180 title (33%)are avalaible inthe UIN Jakarta Center Library collection. Thus the conclusion of the evaluation is that thecollection of books at UIN Jakarta Center Library are not fully support to the need of researchactivites in 2014
