Analysis of ions in PM2.5 aerosol in the area of children’s sanatorium focused on speleothera-py
Atmospheric aerosol has many negative impacts on human health, mainly respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Speleotherapy, which uses the specific cave climate, serves as a supportive treatment method for respiratory diseases and immune system. The children's sanatorium offering speleotherapy is located in Ostrov u Macochy in the Moravian Karst. The original building of the sanatorium, located in the center of the village, was replaced by new premises, which are situated close to the forest and the Císařská Cave, where the speleotherapy treatment takes place. The aim of the thesis is to compare the ions content in PM2.5 aerosol near the old and new buildings of the children's sanatorium
EXPANSION OF DVŮR KRÁLOVÉ ZOO – Visitor Center
The Dvůr Králové Safari Park is one of the most famous zoological gardens not only in the Czech Republic, but even in Europe. It is now planning a major expansion on new land to the south of the existing zoo. The thesis deals with the design of a multifunctional visitor centre on the new land of the Safari Park. Zoos are not only theme parks, as a large number of visitors think of them, but also have other functions. These include the protection and rescue of endangered species and public education. And this is what the visitor centre aims to do - to educate and inform visitors in an entertaining way, for example about the rescue and protection of animal species. It will also enable various lectures and conferences for the general public. In addition to education, the visitor centre also offers an architecturally interesting and attractive environment for relaxation with a unique view of the surrounding landscape. The architecture of the visitor centre connects modern architecture with respect for the surrounding landscape and also with reference to African nature and culture
Liminal Spaces
The project is based on theory of preceding pre-diploma thesis and applies it on a logistical campus in South Moravian town Pohořelice. The outcome is a proposal of interconnection of the site with the rest of the town and an experimental structure, which is an addition to its content. The new liminal typology, which is shown in the project, bases its function on natural contents of peripheries and its scale serves as a transition between the enormous logistical halls and much smaller single-family houses. The project is accompanied by analysis of the town and interviews with representatives of parties who are relevant in the construction and operating of the premises
Center for Independent Culture
The project presents the revitalization of the Střelák area (the former shooting range in the Pisárky district), exploring an alternative integration of sport, culture, and nature. The proposal works with the territory through newly defined multifunctional spaces, surfaces, paths, and landscape points, which together form a network of open meeting places and opportunities for physical activity. Their use evolves over time according to the needs and initiatives of local users. The aim of the design is to explore ways to connect, open up, and activate the area, especially through new entrances and interventions that are not necessarily definitive solutions, but serve as initial steps toward further development. The project deliberately moves away from the rigid idea of a traditional sports complex and instead creates a space for diverse activities on various scales. Emphasis is placed on multifunctionality, openness, and a degree of independence from both institutional frameworks and standardized notions of sport and culture. The design perceives the area as a flexible structure that respects its location, historical layers, and landscape qualities. The result is a landscape-urban design experiment that explores the current form and function of a sport-cultural space in relation to its natural context and local identity
Seeds of knowledge: Urban farming kindergarten and multigenerational educational centre
In an era dominated by fast food and processed meals, there is a growing disconnect between urban populations and the origins of their food, leading to health, environmental, and ethical issues. This project explores the potential of urban educational facilities to foster a deeper understanding of food sources and sustainable living among children in big cities. The focus is on designing a kindergarten combined with a multigenerational community center in the heart of Warsaw, which promotes gardening and greenery despite its urban setting. The facility aims to serve diverse populations, including those with disabilities and from various social classes, fostering intergenerational interactions and community engagement. The project addresses challenges such as preserving existing greenery, managing soil contamination, and integrating urban green spaces. Through this initiative, we seek to demonstrate that urban living can coexist with nature, promoting healthier lifestyles and environmental awareness without necessitating suburbanization
A new breath of Zvěstov
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the revitalization of the former premises of the unified agricultural cooperative (JZD), which is located in the immediate vicinity of the renovated castle in Zvěstov. The unused and dilapidated buildings in the foreground of the monument disturb its historical and visual appearance. The aim of the thesis is to transform this area into a cultural and social centre of the village, which will support the development of civic amenities and restore the relationship between the castle and the surrounding structure of the village
Fabrication and characterization of polymeric coating
The subject of this thesis is the preparation and analysis of thin films based on polymeric carbon nitride, specifically poly(heptazine imide) (PHI) and its blends with graphitic carbonitride (g C3N4). The aim was to use them as functional layers in photoelectrochemical applications. Three types of liquid formulations were prepared: pure PHI and mixtures of PHI with g-C3N4 in 1:1 and 3:1 ratios. These formulations were deposited by doctor blade, drop casting and screen printing methods. After deposition, the layers were heat treated and further evaluated for morphology, thickness, structure and photoelectrochemical response. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), profilometry, FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), linear sweep voltammetry and chronoamperometry were used to analyze the prepared layers
The role of auxin in Chara braunii
Data Protection in Sports and Sports Associations
121 Data Protection in Sports and in Sports Associations Abstract This thesis focuses on the protection of personal data in the sports sector, particularly in relation to sports clubs. The key legal framework is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which establishes rules for handling personal data not only in the commercial sector but also in the public and non-profit domains, including sports clubs and organizations. Sports entities process a wide range of personal data, from basic identification information to sensitive health data, performance testing results, contractual data, and disciplinary proceedings involving athletes. Therefore, this thesis thoroughly examines the specific legal aspects of personal data protection in sports, analyzes its practical implications, and explores the obligations and responsibilities arising from this legal framework for data controllers and processors within the sports sector. Additionally, the thesis addresses the protection of personality rights of athletes. The main objective of the thesis is to provide a systematic and comprehensive overview of legal obligations and recommended measures for sports clubs, organizations, and individual athletes. Through legal analysis and case studies, it identifies the main risks associated with the processing of personal..
Digitalisation of employment relations
Digitalisation of employment relations Abstract This thesis examines the legal aspects of electronic signing and delivery within the framework of employment relations, with a particular focus on the transposition amendment to the Labour Code introduced by Act No. 281/2023 Coll. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the requirements for the validity of electronic legal acts, to assess the legal regulation of electronic signing and delivery, and to identify their practical implications. In doing so, it seeks to contribute to a better understanding of both the legal and practical challenges that digitalisation brings into the sphere of employment law. The thesis is structured into three main chapters, each divided into subchapters. The first chapter clarifies key terms closely related to the digitalisation of employment relations: employment relations themselves, legal acts, and the form of legal acts. One of the subchapters dealing with the form of legal acts includes an analysis of the requirements for written form, which is crucial for answering the question of how to ensure the legal relevance and binding nature of an electronic legal act. The second chapter focuses on the electronic signature, addressing both its theoretical foundations and practical aspects. To provide broader context, this chapter also..
