    Control of Stewart platform manipulator

    The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse control methods for parallel manipulators. Furthermore, a kinematic model of a Stewart platform-type manipulator and a control algorithm for the precise positioning of the upper platform are developed. The proposed solution is then verified on a real manipulator. The thesis describes various control methods, one of which was selected for the design of the control algorithm. This algorithm is tested on the created kinematic model of the manipulator. The final part of the thesis focuses on testing the positioning accuracy of the upper platform of a real robot

    Compliance testing of photovoltaic inverters

    This final thesis focuses on verifying the compliance of photovoltaic inverters with the required standards for generating modules. The first part gives an overview of the current requirements that apply to non-synchronous generating modules in categories A and B. Then, a testing procedure is designed to check the inverter’s ability to supply rapid fault current. The practical part follows, including laboratory testing and the evaluation of another required function. The data is processed using scripts created in the MATLAB environment. The results are shown as graphs to make it easier and quicker to assess whether the inverter meets the necessary requirements

    An interactive game on the theme of deactivating an explosive device

    The goal of this work is to design a physical version of an interactive game representing the popular computer game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. This work deals with power supply methods through a USB interface, voltage regulators, intra-system communication interfaces and 3D printing. The device consists of a control unit and modules. The control unit handles battery management and charging, countdown timer operation, penalty point counting and sound playback. The modules interact with the user and indicate successful or unsuccessful deactivation. Module defusal is carried out according to a modified manual, which is adapted for defusing the physical version of this game

The design focuses primarily on the easy handling of the water tank, with a maximum capacity of 2 liters. Furthermore, the selection of suitable materials and color schemes is addressed, taking into account both functionality and aesthetic value. The design process is based on an analysis of available products on the market

    Automated Processing of Table of Contents

    The goal of this thesis is to automate data collection about the table of contents of books or documents from their relevant pages, to support the digitalization effort. A system for automated processing of table of contents using various methods of machine learning is proposed. The main component of the system is YOLOv8, an object detection system, used to identify relevant information regarding the contents of the document. The resulting system can use the document pages to create a digital structure representing the document's table of contents

    Restoration of corrupted audio signals based on optimization with neural networks

    This thesis deals with inpainting of continuous missing segments in audio signals. It gives an overview of previous solutions to the problem, focusing on approaches using optimization. It proposes and implements a method based on the consensus equilibrium principle, hereafter referred to as the CE method, which combines various existing methods as so-called agents in order to find a common compromise solution towards which all these agents work. The reconstruction quality of the CE method was compared with its individual components, which consisted of methods based on spectral sparsity, autoregression and deep learning. The individual outputs were compared using objective metrics, and the influence of the equilibrium parameters on the resulting reconstruction quality was assessed. In a many cases, the CE method outperformed its individual agents and especially in moments when all generated a good solution. If any agent's solution was not of good quality in terms of objective metrics, the equilibrium was able to overcome it as long as the other agents were able to find a solution themselves. If most of the agents were unable to come to a good solution, then also the CE method generated a worse result, which was usually outperformed by one of its agents

    Physicochemical characterization and fractionation of soil solution as a source of dissolved and particulate organic matter

    This bachelor thesis deals with the fractionation and an elementary physicochemical characterisation of soil solution samples. Soil solution is the liquid phase of soil, which is broadly significant for reactions in the soil and plant growth. Samples of soil solution were fractionated by ultrafiltration. Acquired fractions were studied by pH and conductivity measurements, colloid particle size measurements using DLS and zeta potential measurements. The concentration of humic substances of the fraction of soil solution containing only dissolved organic matter was determined according to the technical standard ČSN 75 7536, FTIR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. Differences in the properties of soil solution were observed, depending on the fraction, depth of sampling and the usage of soil

    Handheld ECG measuring device

    This thesis addresses the issue of measuring and processing electrocardiographic (ECG) signals with a focus on portable single-lead devices. The introductory section presents a literature review summarizing current approaches to ECG signal acquisition and interpretation, and defines the fundamental physiological and technical principles. Based on the theoretical findings, a device was designed for indicative ECG measurement by placing fingers on measurement pads. The analog front-end was implemented with emphasis on user safety, galvanic isolation, and efficient signal preprocessing. In the digital domain, signal processing, heart rate calculation, and real-time visualization of the measured signal were implemented. The results and outputs are tested and discussed. The work provides a comprehensive overview of the design of a compact device for non-invasive monitoring of cardiac activity

    The bachelor's thesis deals with the possibility of using HALEU fuel for power reactors. It describes the first research and power reactor. From the fuel point of view, it deals with advanced gas-cooled, boiling and the most widespread pressurized water reactors, while considering the possibility of using HALEU fuel in these reactors. It discusses four types of burnable absorbers that reduce the reactivity of freshly loaded fuel with a view to using it at higher enrichment than is currently commercially used. Burnable absorbers are simulated using fuels enriched to 7 and 10 %, the simulation results are graphically processed
