Psychosocial aspekts of foster family care of children in the care of grandparents
No full text1. Aim of the thesis - Psychosocial aspects of foster care for children in the care of grandparents, with the following research questions selected. How do foster grandparents perceive their role, what is their view of the foster care process, and what impact does their care have on the transgenerational transmission of parenting patterns? 2. Methodology - A qualitative multi-case study was chosen for the practical part of the thesis. Semi-structured interviews were chosen as the main method of data collection, with documentation analysis and observation used only as marginal and supplementary functions. 3. Main results - The following findings were established for the main objective of the research. Foster parents rate the support provided by the accompanying organization as excellent. Two of the three respondents rate the support provided by OSPOD as helpful. Two respondents perceive support from their families. Two respondents do not encounter support from the school education system. Two respondents rate financial support as insufficient. 4. Conclusions and contribution of the work - This thesis shows that grandparent foster care is a specific form of care that is highly dependent on age, health, and the emotional complexity of the relationship with the child and their parents. No full textThe dissertation focuses on the formation of Karel Škréta's professional identity and artistic development in the context of social, family, and client networks during his travels between 1627 and 1638. It uses an interdisciplinary approach combining art history, historical sciences, literary studies, and, to some extent, legal analysis to provide a new understanding of cultural transfers in early Baroque Europe. Special attention is paid to the influence of power-political changes, confessions, family strategies, and cultural infrastructure that shaped Škréta's professional and social career. Based on correspondence discovered by the author and other primary sources, the itinerary of Škréta's journey through important European centers such as Basel, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Venice, Rome, and Florence is reconstructed. His work is interpreted in the light of cultural acculturation, professional strategies, and stylistic synthesis. The text develops the concept of "family strategy" as a heuristic framework for studying cultural mobility and the formation of artistic identity in the 17th century. Selected romani traditions and their viability in the lives of a specific group of romani children
No full textThe bachelor's thesis deals with selected Romani traditions and their relevance in the lives of a specific group of Romani children. The theoretical part describes a brief history of the residence of the Roma in our territory. It is followed by the definition of the Roma groups that are currently found in the Czech Republic. The following chapters present selected Romani traditions related to the Romani language, the traditional Romani family, weddings and baptisms. Subsequently, traditions associated with death, traditional Romani culture and Romani food are described. The empirical part is based on qualitative research, which was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews. The respondents were Romani children who attend the Teen Challenge Prague Children and Youth Center, located in Prague's Žižkov district. The aim of the research was to map the current state of Romani traditions, which were described in the theoretical part. A secondary goal was to find out what these specific children think about the given traditions and whether they perceive them as something important for their lives. No full textSurrogacy from the perspective of social security law Abstract This diploma thesis addresses the topic of surrogacy in the context of social security law in the Czech Republic. Surrogacy, as a specific form of assisted reproduction, is not explicitly regulated in Czech legislation, which causes numerous application and interpretative issues, particularly in the areas of social benefit entitlements and the recognition of the parental status of intended parents. The thesis focuses primarily on surrogacy involving a heterosexual married couple and analyses its implications under the current legal framework. The aim of the thesis is to identify legislative shortcomings concerning entitlements to sickness insurance benefits and state social support benefits that arise due to the absence of legal regulation of surrogacy. Intended parents often cannot access benefits in a timely manner, as they are not recognized as the legal parents of the child at the time of birth, and the adoption process is lengthy. Although the surrogate mother is legally entitled to certain benefits, she typically does not raise the child herself. No full text1 Controversial issues of necessary defence in case law - Abstract Self-defence is one of the fundamental principles of criminal law, frequently applied in practice. For an act to be considered a self-defence within the meaning of Section 29 of the Criminal Code, it must meet at least the following characteristics: (a) the perpetrator must avert a directly imminent or ongoing attack on an interest protected by criminal law and (b) the defence must not be manifestly disproportionate to the manner of the attack. It is not a necessary defence if the defence was clearly disproportionate to the manner of the attack. The defence may be stronger than the attack, but not so excessive that the disproportion is "clearly obvious" to the manner of the attack. The purpose of self-defence is to enable citizens to protect their own interests, as well as the interests of others, society, and the state. The principle is that the risk posed by an attack is borne by the attacker, not the defender. The law provides the defender with significant freedom in the choice of defensive methods (with emphasis on their proportionality), where the defender is not required to first try to avoid an imminent or ongoing attack or to first use milder methods of defence and eventually increase their intensity in relation to the changing..

RNDr. Dalibor Šatínský, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Use of nanofibers as drug carriers and determination of their content after spinning This diploma thesis is focused on polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofibers as drug carriers and their potential applications in medicine. The primary objective was to evaluate PCL nanofibers loaded with the antibiotic vancomycin-hydrochloride, provided by the Technical University of Liberec. The experimental part comprised the optimization of sample preparation procedures prior to chromatographic analysis and the determination of the most suitable separation conditions for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The chromatographic method for the analysis of vancomycin-hydrochloride-loaded nanofibers was successfully optimized, and a calibration curve was established for the determination of vancomycin concentration. Nanofibers containing 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5% of vancomycin were tested in two forms - non-sterile and sterilized - to evaluate the potential impact of sterilization on drug content. Personalisation in the Czech Politics
No full textThe aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe personalization in Czech politics based on an analysis of preferential voting in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies from 2010 to 2021. The process is observed in terms of its temporal development as well as the differences among individual political parties. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I present the definition of personalization, its forms, and the areas in which it manifests within politics, drawing on both Czech and international research on the topic. At the same time, I describe the setup of Czech electoral rules, particularly those related to preferential voting. I further focus on preferential voting as a key aspect that influences the degree of personalized politics in the given country. For defining personalization, the level of popularity of preferential voting among voters of individual parties is also essential. This popularity itself reflects the degree of personalization and at the same time contributes to a smoother interpretation of selected statistical indicators. In the analytical part of the thesis, I present specific indicators that I use to examine personalization.
