Teaching of floorball at primary and secondary schools

    No full text
The diploma thesis focuses on the teaching of floorball at primary and secondary schools. The aim of the thesis is to find out the scope and content of lessons devoted to floorball, to build an eight-hour model of teaching based on the information found, to apply it in practice and to test its effectiveness. A quantitative survey was used to map the teaching of floorball. It contained 20 mostly closed-ended questions and had a return rate of 18.68 %. Using the questionnaire, it was found that the majority of the teachers conducted a split lesson between girls and boys. On average, eight teaching units (45 minutes) are devoted to floorball, which is incorporated spontaneously into the lessons. Most of the teachers give more importance to playing than to practicing game activities. Commonly practiced skills include ball handling, passing, processing, shooting and dribbling. Of these, ball handling is the most commonly practiced. Most teachers do not include training of individual defensive game actions, game combinations and goalkeeper training. The obtained results were described and processed into graphs. The constructed model of teaching, which corresponded to the results of the questionnaire survey, was tested in practice. The research population consisted of 20 eighth-grade students of the..

Diversity of feeding specializations and life strategies in beetles (Coleoptera): supporting materials for high school teachers

    No full text
This bachelor thesis is a literature review focused on the diversity of beetle's feeding strategies (Coleoptera). Its aim is to comprehensively yet professionally summarize and analyze the morphological adaptations of the mouthparts of larvae and adults in relation to different feeding habits. Special attention is paid to the suborder Polyphaga, given its extraordinary ecological diversity and evolutionary success. The thesis is designed to serve a didactic purpose and can function as supporting teaching material for high school biology teachers and for students who want to deepen their knowledge of entomology. Given the extensiveness of the subject matter, the work does not aim to cover it in its entirety, but presents selected examples of food specializations and related morphological adaptations. Keywords Insecta, Holometabola, mouthparts, adaptations, morphology, larva, imag

Image Segmentation of Museum Data Using Deep Learning.

    No full text
This thesis investigates zero-shot deep learning models for segmenting cultural her- itage and museum artifacts, addressing challenges like visual ambiguity and scarce anno- tations. Two models, SAM2 and YOLOE, were evaluated on a museum image dataset across three tasks: bounding box generation, zero-shot segmentation, and segmentation from spatial prompts. YOLOE performed best in prompt-free tasks, while SAM2 excelled with spatial prompts, supporting its role in semi-automated workflows. Classical methods remained useful in limited cases. Results suggest that combining prompt-driven models with minimal user input offers a scalable solution for segmentation in resource-constrained cultural domains.

De-Colonial Approaches in Kazakhstan's GULAG Museums

    No full text

    No full text
This thesis Political Communication in the Age of Podcasts: Why and How People Listen to Political Podcasts focuses on the Czech audience of political podcasts. Its aim was to explore who listens to these shows, how they listen, why they do so, and what effects it has. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods, the research collected data on the demographics of the audience, their motivations, and listening habits. The findings show that political podcasts are primarily consumed by young people aged 18-34, often with higher education. Among the Czech respondents, women predominated. The main platform for listening is Spotify. Some respondents even pay for access to selected shows behind a paywall. The choice of podcast is mainly influenced by the topic and the quality of the host's delivery. Political podcasts serve as a supplementary source of information that helps listeners form or reinforce their opinions. The results also indicate that listeners tend to choose shows that align with their existing political beliefs. This thesis contributes to building a profile of the political podcast listener and opens up possibilities for further research, whether focused on independent podcast creators or on audiences in other podcast genres

The morphometry of gold from alluvial placers at selected sites between Jílové u Prahy and Mníšek pod Brdy Bc. Rodion Bulyžkin Abstract This master's thesis deals with a detailed morphological and morphometric analysis of gold nuggets from several localities in the wider surroundings of Jílové u Prahy - one of the most historically important gold-bearing regions in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the work was to compare the shape and size characteristics of gold grains between the individual localities and to evaluate their relationship to the distance from the primary gold deposit. A total of 1569 gold nuggets were obtained by panning for the purpose of this study. Samples were collected from ten different localities located along major and minor watercourses. The gold nuggets were subsequently analysed using digital image analysis in ImageJ software, which allowed the quantification of a number of morphological parameters. The results showed the presence of systematic changes in the morphology of gold due to fluvial transport. Locations closer to the primary source are characterized by the occurrence of larger, less rounded and irregular grains, while more distant sites are richer in rounded, flattened and smaller particles. This trend is consistent with the expected effects of mechanical..

Ukrainian Eurointegration: Europeanisation process of legal systems in the context of war

    No full text
This bachelor9s thesis examines the process of Europeanisation in Ukraine, with a specific focus on reforms in the areas of justice and home affairs, which are considered core components of the broader legal system. The legal system is understood here as a set of institutions, rules, and mechanisms ensuring the rule of law, individual rights protection, and effective public administration. These sectors are essential for fulfilling the political and institutional requirements for EU accession, as defined by the Copenhagen criteria. The thesis analyses the legal, institutional, and administrative transformations carried out from the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU in 2014 up to the present day, with particular emphasis on developments following the granting of candidate status in 2022. Special attention is paid to the barriers, shortcomings, and contradictory dynamics accompanying the reform process. The aim is to critically assess whether Europeanisation in these sectors reflects a deep and sustainable transformation or remains largely formal and declarative. The research is based on qualitative analysis and comparative index-based evaluations of Ukraine9s readiness for EU membership
