Pedagoogilis-filoloogilise seminari arhiivifondi kujunemislugu Tartu Ülikooli raamatukogus: The history of the archival fund of the Pedagogical-Philological seminar in UT Library
The library of the University of Tartu holds many archival funds. Oneof them, Fund 15, holds documents about the Pedagogical-PhilologicalSeminar. On the day of his arrival in Tartu in 1803, Karl Morgenstern, professor of classical philology, proposed to the rectorate ofthe Imperial University of Tartu that a seminar be opened similarto the one at Halle University. His wish came true in 1821 when thePedagogical-Philological Seminar was opened. The aim of this articleis to show what kind of documents one archival fund might hide, andwhat kind of new information we can learn from these documentsabout the beginning of the 19th century at the university. The articlealso makes an excursion through one year at the seminar, in order tosee, on the basis of the archival documents, what kinds of activitiesactually took place in the seminar. As it turns out, the archival fund has been reorganized severaltimes, and this has made it both more difficult and easier to use it.The archive hides quite a diverse selection of documents, firstly thejournals of seminar professors documenting the meetings. Secondly, the archival fund contains administrative documents about organizationalmatters for the seminar, such as the motivation letters ofthe seminar candidates, circular letters of the seminar professorsabout different matters, students’ exam results, and so on. Thirdly, the archival fund holds seminar papers by the students, of which 117papers are still preserved while others are lost. Almost all the documentsin the archival fund (with one exception) are handwritten; theRussian professor wrote his reviews in French; other professors usedGerman; the motivation letters and student papers are in Latin. Anotherobstacle in using the archival materials is the Gothic Germanstyle of writing which is not used anymore and takes time to learn toread. Still, studying the fund is useful, as it tells a story of how muchan archival fund can change over time, and it shows that the archivalfund holds interesting documents about the Pedagogical-Philological Seminar. The documents show what university training looked like for people who became teachers in gymnasia, including some quitesignificant people in the cultural history of Estonia
Õpetajate hoiakud ja enesetõhusus kaasava hariduse rakendamisel: eestikeelsete DATIS- ja TEIP-SF-küsimustike psühhomeetriliste näitajate hindamine
Et rakendada kaasavat haridust tõhusalt, tuleb mõtestada vajaminevat toetust ja parandada vajadusel hariduspraktikate kvaliteeti. Seepärast on oluline uurida ja hinnata õpetajate hoiakuid ja enesetõhusust. Eestis on kaasava haridusega seotud hoiakute ja enesetõhususe mõõtmiseks kasutatud mitmeid küsimustikke, kuid vajadus spetsiifiliselt kaasava hariduse rakendamise kontekstiks kohandatud mõõtevahendite järele püsib.

Haigusjuhu kirjeldus
Maailma Terviseorganisatsiooni andmetel kasvab üle maailma keisrilõigete arv, ulatudes kuni 21%-ni – see tähendab, et iga viies sünnitus lõpeb keisrilõikega. Prognoosi kohaselt see trend jätkub ning aastal 2030 toimub juba üks kolmandik sünnitustest keisrilõiketeel.Artiklis on kirjeldatud 54aastase naise haigusjuhtu, kellel diagnoositi endometrioidne vähk keisrilõike armis tekkinud endometrioosist. Enamik endometrioosist arenenud vähiga haigetest vajab suuremahulist operatsiooni koos keemiaraviga

Eestimaalaste moraalsete ja eetiliste hoiakute muutumine 1995–2020
The change in the moral and ethical attitudes of Estonians from 1995 to 2020 This analysis highlights significant shifts in the moral and ethical attitudes of Estonians over the past 25 years, reflecting broader societal transformations. In the 1990s and early 2000s, there was a tendency towards conservatism, but this trend has shifted markedly towards liberalism in recent years. The last decade, in particular, has seen a notable increase in tolerance towards issues such as extramarital relationships, homosexuality, abortion, and euthanasia. These changes are consistent with broader European and North American trends.A clear distinction exists between the moral and ethical views of ethnic Estonians and other language groups in Estonia, with Estonians tending to be more liberal. This difference is likely influenced by the general information environment rather than ethnic characteristics, suggesting that people’s attitudes are shaped more by the media and societal influences than by cultural or linguistic factors.Religious affiliation and community involvement also play a crucial role in shaping moral and ethical views. Those who are actively engaged in religious communities, particularly in free church or Catholic contexts, tend to hold more traditional values. This is in contrast to those with weaker ties to religious institutions, who are more susceptible to secular influences. The findings support previous research showing that active participation in religious life strengthens specific moral convictions and virtues. In contrast, weakened or severed ties to religious communities lead to a drift away from religious practices and values, resulting in a more secular and less morally defined identity
