Proyectando situaciones / activando redes.
Semi-passive UHF RFID sensor tags: A comprehensive review
This paper presents a comprehensive overview and analysis of the state-of-the-art (SoA) in semi-passive or Battery-Assisted (BAP) Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) sensor tags compliant with EPC Global G2/ISO-18000C. These tags operate on the same communication principle as fully passive sensor tags but incorporate a battery or an energy harvesting module. This additional power source extends communication ranges and enables power demanding applications using low-power microcontrollers (MCUs) and higher-end sensors. This article also analyzes various key features, including tag integrated circuit (IC) architecture, types of energy harvesting modules, and communication range. The main conclusions are threefold. Firstly, selecting the appropriate tag IC requires a careful analysis of its features such as sensitivity, sensor interfaces, or data logging capabilities. For instance, among the solutions examined in the SoA, half of them opted for a tag IC capable of MCU communication via SPI or I2C buses. Secondly, it is essential to assess both the forward and backward communication links to leverage the sensitivity of the tag IC in BAP mode. Interestingly, only one-third of the SoA solutions achieved the theoretical communication range anticipated by the sensitivity of the tag IC. Finally, an energy budget analysis is required to ensure that the energy generation suffices to meet the energy requirements of the tag. While most solutions rely on batteries as the energy source and analyze battery lifespan, only a few studies employing energy harvesters conduct an energy budget analysis due to the additional complexity involved
Anatomy notes: Musculoskeletal system
This document is notes on musculoskeletal anatomy, no less, no more. They are designed for you, 1st year Medicine
students, with the aim of schematically exposing a minimum content that should be mastered.
It is common for students to handle photocopies of classmates' notes and rule out studying with a book. Due to this fact,
together with the experience of the first year of the new curriculum, I have found it convenient to write these notes, which have
been reviewed by your colleagues, seeking the exact "dose" of knowledge and a way of presentation that suits your circumstances,
with the idea that you will be able to learn to retain in the long term , and then it will be easier for you to remember and apply,
when you study later the clinical implications of each detail.
Therefore, I have omitted many details, very interesting for the surgeon, but with much less general clinical interest,
and therefore beyond what is required and necessary for a student. I have tried to simplify the wording and the terms, because
the main objective is to write in a way that is easy to study, understand, recognize, apply, review and remember. It is useless
to learn details that are going to be forgotten and never used, except in the case of some specialties. That is why I apologize in
advance to those more erudite readers, who may want to look here for some anatomical details, because they will not find them.
The notes begin with arthrology. This content is accompanied by videos that review the corresponding osteology and
explain in a little more detail what is said here in a schematic way (which is what I consider necessary and sufficient for you). It
can be accessed by scanning or clicking with the mouse on the QR code.
In neuromuscular anatomy, I have followed an order by type of structures: muscles, peripheral nerves and blood
supply. In conversations with some colleagues, they made it clear that it seems more difficult to start studying the anatomy by
regions when the characters of that region are not yet known. That will be left for the presentation in the lecture, the clinical case
sessions and for the last phases of the study, when all the characters in this film are already known. There I will insist on the
anatomy explained by neuromuscular systems and from the functional and regional points of view.
The information is often duplicated, written in text and tables, so that everyone can use the presentation that suits them
best. Some more detail may be given in the tables, but what is essential is in the text. It is not, however, about studying
insertions, innervation... by heart. I have tried to present the general rules that explain the functionality of the structures.
To understand this content well, it is essential to go to the lectures and then consult the anatomy textbook, whichever
it is. Here I have tried to summarize and outline what is now most important to learn. The reference book will also help when you
study these notes and when you review them.
In any case, it is impossible to understand or learn this content without the company of an atlas. I have included some
essential images that should be completed with an atlas. A colleague of yours, Pablo Viñeta, has collaborated with an enormous
job, to complete the illustrations. Other images that can help are at @anatodemia.
This is the first year of publication of these notes. I would appreciate any specific idea to improve them: correct errors
-there will be-, add relevant details that have been left out, possible diagrams, complete or add drawings, etc
TikTok and active audiences in processes for political and structural change. An exploratory study based on the Scottish referendum
Plebiscites, secession consultations, and referendums are electoral processes that are different from conventional voting. Conversations before these types of elections tend to focus on very different aspects than those generated during the election of an authority or public office, with a focus on the future impacts that each decision may have on a country, generally taking one side or the other. In the current media ecosystem, this conversation takes place largely on social platforms and networks, where users consume content and interact with it, becoming active prosumer audiences. The aim of this research is to determine what elements determine this type of discourse on TikTok –as a social network that is trending among digital communities–, what type of profiles promote them, and what narrative code is used. To this end, based on the case of the referendum planned in Scotland for 2023, an exploratory quantitative and qualitative study is proposed based on the publications discriminated by hashtags related to the topic through an analysis carried out in an application called PyCharm (Python) TikTok Research. The results suggest that on TikTok this type of content has a large reach, but it is not possible to determine precisely whether it has a specific effect or impact. However, the rate of user engagement and interaction with this content opens the possibility of eventually greater influence than on other platforms
VI Congreso Científico de Jóvenes en Diseño de Experimentos y Ciencia de Datos
The Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DATAI) at the University of Navarra is organizing the “VI Scientific Congress of Young researchers in Experimental Design and Data Science (JEDE 6)” along with the III DATAI Scientific Conference, to be held on June 5th, 6th, and 7th, 2023 in Pamplona (University of Navarra). The previous five JEDE meetings took place in Toledo in 2010, San Cristóbal de la Laguna in 2012, Pamplona in 2014, Salamanca in 2017, and Almería in 2021. Young Spanish and foreign researchers, many of them from Latin America, attended these meetings. The main objective of this congress is the exchange of knowledge and experiences among young researchers in experimental design and data science from Spanish universities, as well as professionals in these fields of knowledge, through active participation in a gathering specifically tailored to them. Presentations will take place in a relaxed and receptive environment, with the presence of national and international experts who will encourage scientific debate

Perceptions of support trickle down: Effects on energetic resources via psychological empowerment
Supervisor perceptions of support are key, as they can influence their subordinates' perceptions of support and well-being. Using a weekly diary data set of subordinates and their supervisors in Chile, we tested a trickle-down effect of perceived supervisor support across three hierarchical levels: upper managers, supervisors, and non-managerial employees. Drawing on the conservation of resources (COR) and social exchange theories as well as crossover research, we find that our model is largely supported. The findings revealed that supervisors' perceived support from managers (PMS) relates to subordinates' perceptions of support from their own supervisors (PSS). In turn, subordinates' PSS is positively associated with their emotional resource possession and sleep quality. Beyond these relationships, subordinates' psychological empowerment mediates the positive relationships between subordinates' PSS and their emotional resources as well as sleep quality. These findings suggest that supervisors who feel supported reciprocate with the more supportive treatment of subordinates, which likely enhances psychological empowerment, in turn driving the accumulation of emotional and physical resources
Egresados hispanos en el Colegio de Doctores de Nápoles (1584-1699)
This paper studies the presence of Spaniards in the Doctoral Colleges of Naples, from its erection in 1584 to 1699. The characteristics of the Colleges and the sociology of the doctors are explained and the graduates who declared themselves as Spaniard and those who were originally from Spain are studied. This provides a more accurate profile of the presence of Spaniard Doctors in Naples and allows new prosopographical studies.
