Los hechos de protesta registrados por el ORAC fueron clasificados en grandes temas objeto de la movilización, para ofrecer una visión de conjunto agregada y sintética de lo acontecido en ese año. El grado de mediatización de cada una de esas formas de protesta puede ser tomado como un primer indicador de la magnitud y el alcance de tales movilizaciones
The Effects of Formal Financial Inclusion on Informal Credit Use: Evidence from Colombia
No full textIt is well known that formal credit can improve household’s wellbeing in developing countries, however, its relationship to informal credit as a substitute or complement is uncertain. This study aims to estimate the causal effect of formal credit on the use of informal credit sources using a Regression Discontinuity Designs which exploits credit allocation rules of formal institutions. We use financial and socioeconomic information directly provided by households trough the Encuesta Longitudinal de Hogares Colombianos (ELCA) survey. With this information we obtain a credit score and estimate a decision threshold, which together replicates the credit allocation rules of formal institutions. Our results show that formal credit reduces informal credit use. Our results also show that formal credit increases the probability of living in a formal housing and owing a motorcycle

No full textLa Atención Primaria en Salud es considerada como el primer eslabón de la atención médica y su enfoque debe girar en torno a la prevención y la atención integral. Sin embargo, en Colombia existen barrera en el acceso a la salud, especialmente en zonas rurales. De allí surge la necesidad de crear un biosensor portátil que esté en la capacidad de realizar una medición cuantitativa, precisa y replicable en el marco de los dispositivos en la cabecera de la cama que fortalezcan las herramientas básicas. Estos dispositivos pretenden detectar alteraciones en los pacientes en procedimientos de tamización y atención primaria en salud. Para ello, Innahealth SAS diseñó un sistema portátil para la cuantificación de la hormona estimulante para la tiroides para detectar rápidamente alteraciones tiroideas en la atención primaria en salud. El presente trabajo de grado realiza el análisis de la vigilancia tecnológica e inteligencia competitiva para este dispositivo con el fin de validar su viabilidad y posible comercialización en el mercado. Aborda un análisis del contexto, la revisión de patentes existentes y la revisión de los dispositivos en el mercado para otorgar un concepto sobre la viabilidad del dispositivo. Así mismo, el trabajo resalta el proceso de la vigilancia tecnológica como una herramienta transversal que potencia los procesos de innovación.Primary Health Care is considered the first stage in health care and its focus should be on prevention and integral care. However, in Colombia there are access barriers to health, particularly in rural areas. Hence the need to create a portable biosensor that is able to perform a quantitative, accurate and replicable measurement that strengthen the basic tools at the point of care. These devices aim to detect abnormalities in patients in screening procedures and primary health care. For this purpose, Innahealth SAS designed a portable system for the quantification of thyroid stimulating hormone to rapidly detect thyroid alterations in primary health care. This study carries out the analysis of technological surveillance and competitive intelligence for such device in order to validate its viability and possible commercialization in the market. It addresses a context analysis, review of existing patents, and review of devices on the market to confer a concept on the feasibility of the device. Likewise, the work highlights the process of technological surveillance as a transversal tool that enhances innovation processes

No full textAnalizar los casos penales con enfoque de género no se limita únicamente a un contexto donde la mujer es víctima, también es necesario considerar las circunstancias sociales, económicas y afectivas cuando la mujer es imputada. Este análisis es especialmente importante al momento de valorar la culpabilidad, pues no se puede desconocer el contexto de violencia estructural, desigualdad y, en algunos casos, la condición de vulnerabilidad que afectan la vida de las mujeres, y el cómo éstos resultan fundamentales para analizar la exigibilidad de un comportamiento conforme a Derecho. Adicional a ello, se debe reconocer cómo la discriminación basada en género puede incidir en la conducta delictiva y, por tanto, influir en la determinación de la pena, la imputabilidad o incluso en la exención de responsabilidad penal.Analyzing criminal cases with a gender perspective is not limited solely to contexts where the woman is a victim; it is also necessary to consider the social, economic, and emotional circumstances when the woman is the accused. This analysis is especially important when assessing guilt, as the context of structural violence, inequality, and, in some cases, the condition of vulnerability that affect women's lives cannot be ignored. These factors are essential for analyzing the extent to which lawful behavior can be expected. Additionally, it is important to recognize how gender-based discrimination can influence criminal behavior and, therefore, affect the determination of the sentence, criminal responsibility, or even lead to the exemption of criminal liability

No full textLa relación entre la memoria y la fotografía ha estado estrechamente relacionada con la imagen del reportero de guerra, cuyas fotografías han alimentado los cientos de memoriales y museos pensados para recordar los episodios más traumáticos y ruines de la historia. Si bien esa relación es cercana, parece que el papel de la paz -y su construcción- se encuentra destinado a estar en un segundo plano. No obstante, y muy a pesar de esa limitada exploración de la “paz” como objeto fotográfico, lo cierto es que el escenario de pos-acuerdo en Colombia abrió diversas posibilidades para que proyectos fotográficos exploraran nuevos lenguajes visuales, capaces de aportar a la construcción de paz y la memoria desde sus vivencias y experiencias particulares. Esos lenguajes pueden ser tan variados como diversos. Pasando desde las exploraciones de fotógrafos ya consolidados como Jesús Abad Colorado con su exposición “El Testigo”, hasta los proyectos más recientes que algunos firmantes de paz y personas del común han construido desde la fotografía. Así, el presente trabajo pretende explorar esos usos y lenguajes que la fotografía ha ido construyendo, especialmente tomando como punto de partida la galería “El Testigo” del fotógrafo colombiano Jesús Abad Colorado. Para responder a una pregunta fundamental: ¿Qué usos se pueden identificar en el trabajo de Jesús Abad Colorado y su exposición “El Testigo” en clave de construcción de paz y memoria? Una pregunta que, aunque pueda parecer simple, obliga a transitar por las discusiones filosóficas sobre la fotografía como artefacto de la memoria y contrastarlas con las reflexiones y usos particulares identificables en el trabajo “El Testigo”.The relationship between memory and photography has been closely tied to the image of the war reporter, whose images have fueled the hundreds of memorials and museums dedicated to commemorating the most traumatic and heinous episodes of history. Although that relationship is close, it seems that the role of peace—and its construction—is destined to be in the background. However, despite this limited exploration of "peace" as a photographic object, the post-agreement scenario in Colombia opened various possibilities for photographic projects to explore new visual languages capable of contributing to peacebuilding and memory from their experiences and life stories. These languages can be as varied as they are diverse. They range from the explorations of established photographers, such as Jesús Abad Colorado, with his exhibition "El Testigo," to the more recent projects that some peace signatories and ordinary people have developed around photography. Thus, this work aims to explore those uses and languages that photography has been constructing, especially taking as a starting point the gallery "El Testigo" by Colombian photographer Jesús Abad Colorado. To answer a fundamental question: What has been the role of Jesús Abad Colorado's photography and his work "El Testigo" in peacebuilding and memory recovery? A question that, although it may seem simple, forces us to traverse the philosophical discussions about photography as a memory artifact and contrast them with the reflections and uses identifiable in the work "El Testigo"

No full textEn los siete años que llevo desempeñándome como director jurídico de la firma VERJEL & Co, Abogados, Asesores y Consultores, he podido identificar junto con mi grupo de trabajo un problema que ha sido una especie de obstáculo para nuestra empresa, el cual se centra en cómo llegar a nuestro cliente objetivo de manera eficaz con el fin de seguir con el crecimiento de nuestra empresa y vincular nuevos clientes. La anterior problemática se origina por cuanto que inicialmente nuestra firma se centraba en el uso de medios tradicionales para su crecimiento en el que el “voz a voz” era prácticamente la única forma de vincular nuevos clientes, sin embargo, llegamos a un punto en el que ese método no era suficiente para seguir creciendo por lo que se dio el problema de cómo llegar a nuevos clientes y seguir con el desarrollo de nuestra empresa de una manera eficaz sin limitarnos al método tradicional. Para dar solución a la anterior problemática pensé en que era necesario dejar de lado el “voz a voz”, sin embargo, gracias a mis profesores de la maestría me hicieron entender que talvez la solución no era acabar con el voz a voz, sino por el contrario tecnificarlo al punto de que un medio tradicional en conjunto con los diferentes medios tecnológicos con los que se cuenta actualmente podían dar solución a mi problemática.During the seven years I have been serving as the legal director of the Firm Verjel & Co, Lawyers, Advisors and Consultants, my team and I have been able to identify a problem that has been somewhat of an obstacle for our company, centered on how to effectively reach our target clients in order to continue the growth of our company and attract new clients. The aforementioned issue arose because initially our firm focused on using traditional means for growth, where word of mouth was practically the only way to attract new clients. However, we reached a point where this method was not sufficient to continue growing, leading to the problem of how to reach new clients and continue developing our company in an effective manner without being limited to the traditional method. To solve this issue, I thought it was necessary to move away from the word of mouth method. However, thanks to my master's professors, I realized that the solution might not be to end word of mouth, but rather to modernize it to the extent that a traditional method, together with the various technological means currently available, could solve my problem
Beyond seasonal and host factors
No full textAbstract Background and Aims The increase of extreme weather events due to climate change may alter ecosystem dynamics. In the tropics, little is known about how ecosystems and species will respond to droughts or foods. Identifying the most important biotic and abiotic factors in ecosystems at the local level is key to developing better forest management practices and understanding the efects of climate change on the fungal community. Methods We conducted a random sampling of adult individuals from several palm species across three adjacent ecosystems with diferent hydrological conditions, during rainy and dry seasons. Using next-generation sequencing, we identifed fungal communities and determined the infuence of soil physicochemical properties, as well as host and seasonal variables, on the relative abundance of the root- and rhizosphereassociated fungal communities. Results The composition of the fungal communities was similar between the seasonally fooded forest and the terra-frme forest, while the palm swamp diverged due to diferences in soil physicochemical properties. Seasonal analyses revealed signifcant diferences in the relative abundance of several taxa, mainly associated with the seasonally fooded forest. However, no infuence of palm species on fungal abundance was detected at any taxonomic level. Conclusion This study highlights the importance of studying ecosystems at the local scale and considering ecosystem dynamics into the study of fungal communities and other microorganisms. Such an approach is crucial for improving predictions under climate change scenarios and understanding the consequences of altering these dynamics in vulnerable, often understudied ecosystems
