The current requirements for structural concrete are SNI 2847 2019 which is an update of SNI 2847 2013. In the latest provisions contained in the table title 6.6.3.1.1 (a) SNI 2847 2019, it is stated that the moment of inertia is allowed to be reduced in elastic analysis at the load level factored. Thus, there is a potential for under design if the stiffness used when determining the magnitude of the earthquake load is reduced stiffness. This study aims to see the effect of using reduced stiffness of structural elements when determining the design seismic load, on the structural behavior of medium-level office buildings in the city of Padang. Structural modeling consists of two models. Model A is a structure with reduced stiffness when determining earthquake loads, while model B is not. The results showed that the fundamental period of the Model B structure experienced a decrease of 17.53% and an increase in base shear of 20.19%. The drift structure of Model B shows a more rigid structure and the maximum internal force has decreased by 9.85%

Framework Analysis Using The Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA) Method in Human Resources Information System Development

    Get PDF
The framework application in the first phase of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) development at X Company, which is a mining company, has so far been considered to have encountered many problems, with bugs and defects frequently being found that occurred when the project was deployed to a production environment. This happens due to frequent changes in project requirements in the middle of the development process, so many features become less relevant to business systems. So making decisions quickly and precisely before the first phase ends is necessary. The Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA) method was taken because it is a rapid review, which only a few weeks can decide based on field objective evidence. The use of a questionnaire involving project members was compared with the literature review results, namely that five aspects affected the time to develop: organizational aspects, process aspects, project aspects, people aspects, and technical aspects. The Scrum framework is a framework that is much more relevant to the current project conditions, with 3.6-point results and 3.1 points for the waterfall

    Get PDF
The flat-hull ship design is an innovative concept that saves costs and speed-up the fabrication of the ship. Even though the flat-hull ship was hydrodynamically inefficient, some shipowners probably experienced an issue with its unusual shape and disadvantages where drag is greater than that of conventional ships. This paper aimed to improve the design of a flat-hull vessel using hull vane and bow foil to reduce ship resistance. The asymmetric foil NACA 4412 and 0012 were used for the hull vane. For bow foil, only NACA 4412 is used. In addition, the angle of the strut of the hull vane was varied to find out the effect to ship resistance. This study was performed in a numerical approach using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The mesh-based CFD with RANSE solver was used in this study, and numerical analysis will be conducted to determine ship resistance of flat-hull ships with hull-vane and bow foil. It was found that the effectiveness of hull vanes on ships failed to improve resistance for flat-hulled vessels. Because of the addition of the WSA on the ship, the total resistance of the ship increases following the installation of the hull vane. As an alternative, using bow foil can reduce ship resistance at Fn 0.44 and 0.59 by 10% and 24%, respectively

    Get PDF
Making foam using starch as an alternative material to replace a conventional material, polystyrene, is one of the solutions to solve an environmental problem due to the waste of foam made from polystyrene cannot be degraded. This study aims to analyze the crystalline properties of cassava starch and biofoam made from it using X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy. From the XRD data of cassava starch, the peaks of 2θ were analyzed to determine the type of cassava starch used in this study. The index of crystallinity of both cassava starch and its associated biofoam was calculated from XRD data. XRD data of cassava starch show 4 main peaks of 2θ: 15.0◦ , 17.0◦ , 17.9◦ , and 23.0◦ , and 3 minor peaks at 11.0◦ , 20.0◦ , 26.0◦ . Based on the main peaks from this XRD data, cassava starch can be categorized as an A-type starch. For cassava starch biofoam, there is only 1 main peak of 2θ at 19.7◦ , and 5 minor peaks at 11.0◦ , 15.4◦ , 21.7◦ , 23.0◦ , and 26.4◦ . The decrease in the crystallinity from the starch to the associated biofoam is shown by the decrease in the index of crystallinity, which decreases from 41.0% in starch to 28.3% in biofoam

A Review - Does Low Magnitude High-Frequency Vibration (LMHFV)Worth for Fracture Recovery Compared with Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Based Magnetotherapy Method?

    Get PDF
The subject of electromagnetic fields is widespread today, including in the medical world. One of them is therapy in fracture healing using the Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) method by utilizing a magnetic field. Fracture healing using the magnetic field method utilizes the Helmholtz coil, which is influenced by the current and the amount of turns flowing in the magnetic field. This study conducted a literature study on fracture healing using the PEMF and the LMHFV methods. A comparison of these two methods will show different healing effects. From the studies, we can conclude which way has the most advantage in healing. A faster rehabilitation process will have an impact on reducing implant failure. In contrast, Applying the LMHFV method to bone fractures gives more significant and faster results in bone formation in the damaged part, and the healing process is owned faster. From these two methods, it can be concluded that the LMHFV method provides a similar healing effect than the PEMF method. Applying the LMHFV and PEMF method to bone fractures gives more significant and faster results in bone formation in the damaged part. In addition, the healing process is owned faster

    Get PDF
An anchor handling ship is a ship designed to support offshore operations in the form of handling offshore building anchors and carrying out activities of moving objects such as FPSO, Semi-Submersible Rigs, construction, production, and barges from one place to another where it requires bollard strength. pull which varies depending on the size of the object, besides that it is also to support other activities such as exploration and drilling. The VS 491 design type anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel which has been built by a shipyard in Batam has a maximum bollard pull test of 255 tons. This paper will analyze the propeller thrust, power, and efficiency propeller before and after the installation of the Rudder Bulb (RB) respectively in free-running conditions and towing barge conditions in 50% barge conditions and full loaded capacity, as well as in draft, and Speed on certain Anchor Handling ships. The resistance of the object being towed (towing) will be calculated on the load and speed of each. By using Maxsurf, software Rhinoceros 3D, dan the Numeca CFD, the shape of the ship's hull is produced according to the original. Then validation is carried out by comparing the resistance in the calculation by Maxsurf/Holtrop and the resistance in the calculation by CFD where resulting in a difference of less than 5% so that it can be said that the form of the model is in accordance with the original shape of the ship. Based on the calculation results in the free running conditions of the Anchor Handling ship, the Propulsive Coefficient (Pc) without ESD Rudder-Bulb (RB) at speeds of 10, 12, and 16.36 knots is 0.5162, 0.5407, and 0.5769 respectively, while with ESD-RB each is 0.5008, 0.5417, and 0.5921. Comparison of the Propulsive Coefficient without ESD-RB and with ESD-RB, that at speeds of 12 and 16.36 knots, the Propulsive Coefficient (Pc) increased by 0.19% and 2.58%, respectively, but the Propulsive Coefficient (Pc) decreased by 3.08% at 10 knots. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, it indicates that the installation of the Rudder Bulb (RB) will give an increase in the Propulsive Coefficient (Pc) at speeds of 10 knots and above in free-running conditions, whereas when towing it hardly gives an increase in the Propulsive Coefficient (Pc)

    Get PDF
Beyond its tourist appeal, beach sand plays a significant role in various dimensions, including ecological and geological aspects. This study aims to understand the distribution of sand grains along the coastal zone of southern Lombok through sand grain analysis to support coastal management. Sand samples (n=60) were collected during June-July 2023 from ten different locations along the southern coast of Lombok, including both the intertidal and supratidal zones. The collected samples were dried and sieved to classify their size as Gravel, Very Coarse Sand, Coarse Sand, Medium Sand, Fine Sand, or Silt. Permutational Multivariate Analysis of Variance on transformed log-ratio data confirms that the sand composition in the intertidal zone is significantly different from the supratidal zone in all locations except Bumbang Beach, concluding the dominance of coarser materials in the intertidal zone and finer materials in the supratidal zone. The dominance of coarser materials is found in the southward-facing beaches, which are directly exposed to strong waves, while finer-grained sand is mostly found in covered coastal areas. Most of the coarser materials along Lombok’s southern coastline are composed of well-rounded carbonate sand formed from a large foraminifers, mixed with coral and shell fragments. Extreme dominance of the finer grain class can be found on Selong Belanak and Ekas beaches, indicating a susceptibility to abrasion

Poverty is a social problem that continues to exist in people's lives according to Nurwati, 2008. Therefore, the problem of poverty is the center of attention of the Tasikmalaya Regency government. In the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2005-2025 the problem of poverty is seen in a multidimensional framework, therefore poverty is not only related to income measurement, but related to several things. This is because poverty is not only related to the size of income but involves several things. In the Tasikmalaya Regency Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), the target for achieving the poverty rate in 2021 is 10.23%. Based on BPS publications, there are 10.75% of the population of Tasikmalaya Regency who are categorized as poor, meaning that the Tasikmalaya Regency government's target has not been achieved. So it is necessary to make efforts to overcome the problem of poverty. This study aims to group sub-districts in Tasikmalaya Regency based on the similarity of poverty indicators owned by each sub-district by using biplot analysis. The data used is poverty indicator data for 39 sub-districts in Tasikmalaya Regency in 2021. From the research results it is known that the amount of variation that can be described is 97%, meaning that the plots formed can best describe actual conditions. data information. In addition, three clusters have the same poverty indicators. Cluster 1 contains sub districts that have an indicator in the form of a high student to school ratio in SMA/SMK/MA. Cluster 2 contains sub districts that have moderate to low indicators on all variables except the ratio of SMP/MTs students and the ratio of SMA/SMK/MA students. Meanwhile, Cluster 3 consists of sub-districts that have an indicator in the form of a high ratio of SMP/MTs students
