Design and Implementation of Anti-Theft Distribution Transformer Monitoring System for Rural Africa
This paper designs a 15KVA three-phase distribution transformer incorporated with a three-phase smart meter for automatic monitoring against theft and vandalism. The monitoring system is designed to send short message services (SMS) to the power utility company when there are abnormalities in the transformer parameters [such as overload, temperature rise, load current, oil level, and voltage variation]. The monitoring unit consist of an embedded system which houses the Arduino Microcontroller, global system for mobile communication (GSM) modem SIM900 for sending SMS, load current sensors which determines the load connected to the transformer, and Bypass current sensors which checks for illegal connection to the transformer. The Arduino Microcontroller/embedded system is connected through a relay to the distribution transformer while the SIM900/GSM module is connected to the Microcontroller/embedded system, relay and optocoupler. The optocoupler isolates the high voltage side of the circuit from the low voltage side. The embedded module process, transmit and receive the parameters to/ from the GSM modem while the GSM module is the link between the embedded system and the public GSM network. The utility provider is expected to have a personal computer (PC)-based -server located at the utility control center basically to collect data from the transformer. This paper presents an alternative method of protecting transformer electrical installations using electronic means compared to the conventional cases of using patrol vehicles by the power utility service provider
Public Transport Passenger Satisfaction in Surabaya Using Ordinal Logistic Regression and Importance Performance Analysis
Public transportation has an important role in everyday life, namely reducing congestion and avoiding traffic accidents. However, in reality, public transportation tends to be abandoned by the people of Surabaya. The tendency of public transportation to be abandoned by the people of Surabaya City is due to reduced public satisfaction with the quality of public transportation services. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the satisfaction of public transport passengers in the city of Surabaya using Ordinal Logistics Regression and identify what service quality needs to be improved and maintained in urban transportation using the Importance Performance Analysis method. The results of this study indicate that 70% of public transport passengers in Surabaya are dissatisfied with the quality of the public transportation service. Variables that affect passenger satisfaction are reliability (the ability of the public transportation to provide the promised service immediately), responsiveness (the ability of the driver to assist passengers and provide responsive and fast service), assurance (the knowledge and ability of the driver to maintain passenger trust), empathy (care driver to passenger needs), direct evidence (passenger attractiveness to the physical facilities of the public transportation), and transportation fares. The service quality variable that becomes the main priority for improvement is the ability of the driver to provide the promised service immediately, the knowledge, ability, courtesy and safety of the driver in carrying out their duties as well as attractiveness to physical facilities

Evaluasi Kinerja Operasional Pada Aset Gedung Perkantoran Binacitra Di Kota Bandung
PT Binacitra Kharisma Lestari adalah perusahaan yang bergerak pada industri garmen. Perusahaan ini juga mendalami bisnis properti sebagai pemilik gedung perkantoran Binacitra di kota Bandung. Kantor ini berdiri di lahan seluas 1.200 m2 dengan tinggi 5 lantai. Pada kondisi eksistingnya bangunan tersebut memiliki indikasi masalah diantaranya ialah KDH yang masih dibawah presentase standar, daerah gersang dan dekat dengan sumber polusi, material dinding bangunan yang rusak lembab karena usia fisik bangunan telah mencapai 30 tahun melebihi estimasi umur manfaat (estimated useful period) dan belum dilakukan perbaikan besar, standar keamanan pada proteksi kebakaran atau APAR yang telah kadaluarsa, dan tingkat sewa gedung 40%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi gedung perkantoran Binacitra untuk mengidentifikasi kinerja aset gedung tersebut dan memberikan rekomendasi masalah menggunakan metode pengukuran berdasarkan A Systematic Review of Building Performance Evaluation Criterias oleh Christine Sotsek et. al dan Evaluasi Kinerja Gedung Kantor Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency oleh JSBC. Bangunan perkantoran juga merujuk pada pendoman normatif dalam jenis bangunan gedung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan campuran antara pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kinerja operasional gedung perkantoran Binacitra adalah 51,21% yang diinterprestasikan sebagai cukup/memadai. Dimensi Physical Image/Apperance dan site use/biodiversity belum memadai. Terdapat 3 (tiga) indikator belum sesuai standar meliputi estetika bangunan, peningkatan keanekaragaman hayati, dan manajemen risiko bencana. Direkomendasikan solusi yaitu dengan melakukan renovasi aset. Renovasi ini bertujuan untuk perbaikan aset agar meningkatkan nilai kegunaan bangunan

The Role of Tourism Infrastructure in Tourism Development: A Literature Review
Tourism is well-known as a profitable economic activities both to developed and developing countries. Many scholar has identified some benefit from tourism. Tourism can accelerate economic growth and regional development from tourist needs and activity in the destination. This research examines studies on tourism infrastructure that have been published in journals and other venues to develop better knowledge about the position of past and current research and to create recommendations for future research. Effect Of Water-Fly Ash-Cement Grouting On The Clayey Subgrade Soil Characteristics of The Tuban-Babat Lamongan-Gresik National Road
The Tuban-Babat-Lamongan-Gresik road section is one of the northern coast sections of Java, Indonesia that experienced road damage that have a low CBR value of around 1.7%-2.9%. In this study, the soil improvement method used is Water Fly Ash Cement Grouting which will be tested on a laboratory scale. Variations in addition to the quantity of grouting material are 3%, 5%, and 7% of dry weight in the test sample, water binder ratio (w/b) variations of 1, 1.5 and 2 with 3 binder composition variations, namely 90% Cement + 10% Fly Ash, 80% Cement + 20% Fly Ash, and 70% Cement + 30% Fly Ash. The selection of the use of Fly Ash in addition to utilizing waste from coal burning activities, relatively cheap prices and effectiveness which has been proven in previous studies.The results show that Water Fly Ash Cement Grouting can affect properties of the sample. The plasticity index which was originally 45.09% to 25.08% and the CBR value which was originally 0.14% to 1.92% at the quantity of grouting material 7% of the dry weight of the test sample, Water Binder ratio (w/b) 1 with a binder composition of 90% Cement + 10% Fly Ash
Application of Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data in the Maritime Industries: Ship Allocation Model
The Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data (BD) are growing significantly. IoT is defined as a gateway of technology to digital transformation. To work effectively, BD, Artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain all rely on those data. Once the physical framework information is changed into computerized digital data, an opportunity opens up to improve vessel operations. Research shows that much of the hidden information can help improve vessel operations by leveraging BD and IoT. Therefore, other sectors of the value chain players such as consignees, shipyards, shippers, manufacturers, and classification societies are also interested in maritime BD. In recent years, the world's ship logistics industry has undergone major changes due to the global shipping cargo movement. The availability of numerous BD is also growing exponentially. This will make it possible to utilize many BDs and IoT in the shipping industry. Successful utilization of these BDs and IoT will bring about major innovations in the shipping industry. In this study, we reviewed several applications of BD and IoT in the maritime domain and developed a ship allocation model using maritime BD and IoT-extracted data. As a result, ship allocation establishment is discussed, and the ship allocation result is evaluated
Model Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) untuk Peramalan Tingkat Inflasi di Indonesia
Salah satu faktor yang mempengarui pertumbuhan perekonomian suatu negara adalah besarnya tingkat inflasi. Pentingnya menjaga kestabilan tingkat inflasi dikarenakan adanya pengaruh negatif terhadap kondisi sosial dan ekonomi negara yang diakibatkan oleh tingkat inflasi yang tinggi dan tidak stabil. Oleh karena itu peramalan dapat dilakukan sebagai salah satu upaya menjaga kestabilan tingkat inflasi. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penggunakan model deret waktu Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) dalam meramalkan tingkat inflasi di Indonesia. Data tingkat inflasi dianalisis untuk menentukan model yang terbaik untuk peramalan. Dengan menggunakan data bulanan tingkat inflasi di Indonesia dari Januari 2016 sampai Desember 2021, diperoleh model terbaik yaitu model ARMA(3,3) berdasarkan nilai Akaike Information Criterion terkecil. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat inflasi pada bulan Januari 2022 hingga Maret 2022 berada di sekitar 0,2%. Pola grafik hasil prediksi mengikuti pola data aktual sehingga model ARMA(3,3) baik untuk digunakan
