    Strategy for Strengthening Village Potentials: An Effort to Improve the Economy and Development in Karama Village, Tinambung District, Polewali Mandar Regency

    Karama Village is one of the villages in the Tinambung District, Polewali Mandar Regency. This village is located in the coastal area and is one of the centers of fishery production in Tinambung District. In addition to large fishery production, Karama Village also has tourism potential in the form of coastal and cultural tourism objects. However, the potential of natural resources in Karama Village has not yet provided a maximum economic impact on village development and the welfare of its people. This can be seen from people's lives, which is not good because the environment where they live is slums, many children drop out of school and most of the people still live the poverty line. The condition of Karama Village is a description of most of the villages in Polewali Mandar Regency. Karama Village shows that the potential of natural resources that are not maximized will be a problem in improving the economy and village development. Therefore, it is necessary to study the strategy of strengthening village potential as an effort to improve the economy and village development. The research methodology used in this study is a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis (mixed method). Determination of strategies to strengthen the village's potential as an effort to improve the economy and development of Karama Village is formulated through three analytical methods, namely: SWOT analysis, Penta Helix analysis and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) analysis. The results of the study from the three analyses above show that Karama Village is one of the villages that has the potential as a Minneapolitan area, where part of the territory has the main economic function consisting of production, processing, marketing, and fishery commodities. The potential of the village as a Minneapolitan area is expected to become a center of economic growth and become a center of fishery production as a driver of the people's economy, which not only has an impact on the welfare of the village community but also contributes to the development of the Polewali Mandar Regency.

    The Relation Among Business Process Orientation Practices in Influencing Organizational Performance

    Organizations always look for ways to improve their performance to survive in the business environment. One way to improve organizational performance is to improve business process orientation (BPO). Several studies identified practices that can be implemented and significantly impact an organization’s BPO maturity. These practices are called Critical Practices (CPs) strategic view, process definition and documentation, process measurement and management, organizational process structure, people management, process organizational culture, market orientation, supplier view, and information technology. However, most studies treat CPs independently, and the relationship between CPs and between CPs with organizational performance has not been addressed. This study tests and confirms the relationship between CPs, BPO, and organizational performance. Based on the literature, a structural model of the relationship between CPs and organizational performance is developed. An online questionnaire is designed to collect data from various organizations in Indonesia. The survey results are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to investigate the relationship between variables. Most hypothesized relationships between CPs are confirmed except the relationship between supplier practices (SU) and culture (CT), which are not supported. Not all practices affect organizational performance directly, but they must be mediated by other practices to have a significant effect. The results suggest that to improve organizational performance, an organization needs to improve the practice of strategic view (SV), performance measurement (PM), customer (CU), process definition (PD), and information technology (IT)

    Project Delay Risk Assessment

    Maintenance activities on power plant projects, which are located in remote areas, are prone to risks related to project delay due to the high complexity of work and limited completion time. This research aimed to fill the existing research gap by developing a delay risk assessment of those projects using a probability impact matrix, which is then transformed into a fuzzy set theory. A case study has been undertaken to represent this research topic at three PLTMGs in Nusa Tenggara. The research steps were potential delay risks identification, critical risk assessment, and risk response development. The results show that the critical risks are lack of skilled and experienced manpower, delay in material and equipment delivery, poor communication and coordination between the contractor and the client, unavailability of materials in the local market, and incomplete material received. Several risk responses are provided in this research, such as strengthening the qualification of the job vacancy, having regular training or sharing sessions before the project execution, and having a stock of emergency spare parts in the central warehouse

The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of tensile strength in ASTM plate welded joints A36 with variations of single vee butt and single bevel butt and knowing the comparison of the effects ofpost-weldd heat treatment on welded joints with variations of single v butt and single bevel butt joints. The method used in this research is experimental. The results of the data obtained in this study The value of the tensile strength of the Single Bevel Butt joint without the influence of Heat Treatment is 153.87 MPa, the tensile strength of the Single Vee Butt joint without the influence of Heat Treatment is 161.75 MPa and the tensile strength of the seam Single Bevel Butt with the effect of Heat Treatment is 196,65 MPa. The tensile strength of the Single Vee Butt seam with the effect of Heat Treatment is 173,36 MPa

    Penerapan Metode Klasifikasi Perangkat Lunak ArcMap pada Pemetaan Penyebaran Penyakit Dengue di Bandung

    Bandung is the city with the highest cases of Dengue disease in West Java. The effectiveness of the vaccine of Dengue disease are still not very high and there is no specific medicine for Dengue disease. In this study, we estimate the relative risk of Dengue disease in each sub-district in Bandung. The results of the relative risk estimation can be used as a reference to cure and prevent this disease more effective and efficient because we can focus more on critical area. The relative risks are estimated using two approaches, the frequentist with the Standardized Morbidity Ratio (SMR) model and Bayesian with the Localized model of Bayesian Conditional Autoregressive (CARBayes). The results show that the sub-districts with the highest and lowest relative risk are Cibeunying Kidul and Bandung Kulon, respectively. Furthermore, each sub-districts are depicted based on their relative risk using some classification methods. The classification methods from ArcMap software that will be used are Manual Interval, Defined Interval, Equal Interval, Quantile, Natural Breaks, and Standard Deviation. The classification results with each method show that each method has its own characteristics

    The increase in the achievement of the Human Development Index cannot be separated from the improvement of each of its constituent components. Currently, the components of the HDI also show an increase from year to year. To be able to participate in the development process, of course, Indonesian people are needed who are not only superior in terms of quantity, but also superior in terms of quality. HDI is used as a tool to achieve national goals, so that many things are related between humans and the development around them. This is to find out what factors can affect the HDI in East Java so that the provincial government can pay attention to several programs which can later be used to continue to maintain and improve development so that it can become an achievement for the Province of East Java. One of the analyzes that can be used is modeling, one of which is regression analysis. Nonparametric regression is a regression that is flexible in use because it can find its own data pattern. One of the truncated spline approaches to nonparametric regression can be used to predict the Human Development Index (HDI). HDI and several factors that influence it will be estimated at various knot points to get the best model. In the Spline Truncated nonparametric regression modeling which is applied to HDI data in East Java Province in 2021 several knot points are tried, namely 1 knot point, 2 knot point, and 3 knot point. The results obtained showed that the best model was found in the 3 knots experiment with a minimum GCV value of 5.40 and an R2 value of 89.875%

    EXPLORING THE ELEMENTS OF BATUAN PAINTING AS A BASIS FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN METHOD

    This paper aims to identify elements of Batuan painting, a local Balinese painting, that potentially become the basis of the architecture design method. The explorations of painting become an alternative in developing design methods as explored by some architects, such as Zaha Hadid, Van Doesburg, and Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. Arguably, such approaches offer different insights into programming architecture and further enrich the design process by creating particular relations with the context, instead of producing a generic and contextless architecture. In this study, the local Batuan painting that is related closely to the daily life of the Balinese community and local philosophy is explored as an attempt to relate architecture with the locality and cultural identity as part of the design process. This study employs the qualitative approach by visual observations and content analysis of Batuan paintings, identifying the elements, compositions, and important aspects that are always present in Batuan paintings. This study reveals that there are three elements from Batuan painting that are essential for the design method, namely heterogeneity, hierarchy, and the particular local painting techniques of ngucek-ngurek-ngabur. Such elements were particularly developed by the painters from Batuan Village to represent the everydayness of the local society to Tri Hita Karana, Hulu-Teben, and Tri Mandala philosophy. Furthermore, the elements imply further the spatial classifications of local activities, dualism principles, and the embedded relationship between humans, humans with nature, and humans with God. The painting elements insinuate further insights for the basis of developing the architecture, particularly in the formal and spatial arrangements as well as spatial qualities, which could be more culturally meaningful and contextually situated

    Customer Satisfaction Analysis on the Integration of Bus Transit System in Semarang

    Trans Semarang and Trans Jateng are the service providers of Semarang bus transit system. Both services still operate independently and are not fully integrated. In addition, previous research has shown that multi-services integration in Semarang bus transit system is a necessity and considered important by customers. Therefore, an improvement of multi-services integration in Semarang bus transit system based on customer satisfaction is needed. The survey method used is questionnaire containing integration attributes that describe the satisfaction and expectations of customers. This research uses Importance-Performance Analysis, Kano model, and Quality Function Deployment method to obtain improvement priorities based on 150 respondents which have traveled with Trans Semarang and Trans Jateng in one trip. The result of this research indicates that 10 improvement that can be implemented in Semarang bus transit system multi-services integration which are prioritized from integration of multi-services information technology, provision of single ticket, and re-adjustment of time tables
