Modified Snow Avalanches Algorithm untuk Vehicle Routing Problem
Metaheuristic algorithms are often used to tackle various optimization problems. In recent years, many new metaheuristic algorithms have been developed, such as the snow avalanches algorithm (SAA), which is inspired by natural snow avalanches. SAA consists of four avalanche phases: avalanches due to steep mountain slopes, human factors, local weather conditions, and it only has one control parameter. Like most metaheuristic algorithms, SAA has the potential to get trapped in local optima due to having only one control parameter. Therefore, this study presents a modification of SAA, called modified SAA (mSAA), which integrates the opposition-based learning (OBL) method with SAA to enhance the optimization process. To validate the performance of mSAA, tests were conducted on various OBL techniques to determine the best combination for solving complex and nonlinear problems, specifically the vehicle routing problem (VRP) on three types of VRP datasets (D01, D02, and D03 datasets). The results were then compared with the snow avalanches algorithm (SAA), hiking optimization algorithm (HOA), teaching learning-based optimization (TLBO), and grey wolf optimizer (GWO). Analisis Daya Dukung Lahan Pertanian terhadap Ketahanan Pangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo
Tingginya populasi di Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya menyebabkan luas lahan pertanian berkurang rata-rata 1% - 2% setiap tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan dan kesesuaian lahan pertanian, nilai daya dukung lahan pertanian, serta menentukan prioritas kebijakan daya dukung lahan pertanian terhadap ketahanan pangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis peta overlay, perhitungan daya dukung lahan pertanian, dan teknik Analisis Hierarki Proses (AHP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 kelas kemampuan lahan, yaitu kemampuan pengembangan lahan sedang (C) yang tersebar di 3 (tiga) kecamatan yang meliputi Porong, Krembung, dan Jabon. Kemampuan pengembangan lahan cukup tinggi (D) yang tersebar di 7 (tujuh) kecamatan yang meliputi Porong, Krembung, Jabon, Balongbendo, Wonoayu, Prambon, dan Sukodono. Kemampuan pengembangan lahan sangat tinggi (E) yang tersebar di hampir seluruh wilayah kecamatan di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Arahan kesesuaian lahan pertanian rata-rata berada pada kemampuan lahan yang sangat tinggi (E). Oleh karena itu, arahan pengembangannya adalah untuk tanaman musiman (padi). Arahan kebijakan prioritas untuk daya dukung lahan pertanian terhadap ketahanan pangan dapat dilakukan dengan: 1) meningkatkan indeks produksi tanaman pangan sebesar 55,3%, 2) mempertahankan lahan pertanian pangan sebesar 29,0%, dan 3) memberikan insentif kepada petani yang mempertahankan lahannya sebesar 15,6%
Strength Analysis of the Floating Pier Structure with Passenger Ship 116 GT (Case Study: Sanur Harbor, Bali Province)
The pier is one of the primary means of sea transportation that continues to be developed to support equity activities and advance the community's economy. Bali is one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia. The construction of the Sanur Floating Pier will create good connectivity between regions in Bali, which can become an additional tourist destination so that tourists can vacation longer in Bali. The purpose of this study was to determine the strength of the floating jetty structure through an analysis of the loading received by the structure and the resistance of the piles so that they can carry out designs related to the installation of strong and safe floating dock piles. In the analysis process, the author uses the help of Plaxis V.8.6 software to model the soil and AutoCAD 2018 as a support system in making the floating dock pile installation layout. The analysis results show that the floating dock can accept the forces acting on the structure. The UE RPD 250 fender and the T-Head MT 20 type bollard are the right choices. The pile has a lateral force value (H) of 1907 kg with a deflection of 0.19 mm. The greater the number of piles installed on the floating pier, the stronger the structure is evidenced by the smaller pile settlement due to soil changes
Encryption Of Internet Of Things Constrained Device For Digital Envelope: A Systematic Literature Review
Not only the exchange of information between IoT devices but integration between IoT devices and cloud servers has also brought IoT to a higher level. Security is the main problem for IoT devices with limited resources for exchanging information. Digital envelopes are one method that uses encryption to secure data. However, limited resources on constrained devices necessitate selecting the proper encryption. This systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted on 11 of 43 studies that have used encryption algorithms for IoT devices. In addition to using the algorithm, it will also explain the device used and the safety factor. A suitable encryption algorithm for the digital envelope has been found. In addition, Some of the safety factors, IoT devices, and specifications are also shown
Communication Strategies for Climate Change Disaster Mitigation in Kota Lama Semarang
Kota Lama Semarang, rich in cultural and architectural heritage, is vulnerable to disasters like Rob Floods and rising sea levels due to climate change. This research aims to describe recommended communication strategies for increasing awareness and community involvement in climate change disaster mitigation. Through analysis of the news text, data analysis, and literature review, this study provides valuable insights for stakeholders. The communication strategy utilizes storytelling through social media, awareness campaigns, and educational programs. Effective communication is crucial in facing disasters in Kota Lama Semarang. The recommended strategy emphasizes community-based approaches with active participation. Dialogues with the government, NGOs, and relevant institutions strengthen community adaptation. Challenges include accessibility and technology limitations in the area. Cultural and linguistic diversity should be considered in communication strategies to enhance message reception. Ongoing evaluations are necessary to enhance communication strategy effectiveness. In conclusion, effective communication strategies are vital in addressing climate change disasters in the Kota Lama Semarang. This strategy promotes community awareness, involvement, and adaptation. Challenges such as technology accessibility and cultural diversity should be wisely managed. By overcoming these challenges and conducting continuous evaluations, communication strategies can reduce disaster risks and build community resilience
Performance Analysis the Impact of Solar Panel Placement on the Deck House Fishing Vessel (20 GT) on Fishing Operation
High stability is imperative, safeguarding against the unpredictable nature of the marine environment and promoting a secure working platform for crew members to do fishing operation. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of laying solar panels on the deckhouse of small fishing vessels 20 GT. The additional load above which causes weight gain and will affect the ship's center of gravity is became the first effect of Fishing vessel stability. The second effect is on how the fishing vessel performs when there is a solar panel on the vessel. The data were collected by measuring the stability according to A.N Kyrylo’s method with standard checks according to the IMO (International Marine Organization). Code on Intact stability calculated the ship motion by using the STRIP method and using the JONSWAP method to measuring the wave characteristics with the help of Maxsurf software. The results of this research show that the installment of solar panels above the deckhouse does not really affect the stability, where the results were meets the IMO standard criteria. The successful fishing operation of the vessels studied will only have a good performance at 1.5 meters, according to the seakeeping analysis
Design Of a Semi-Automatic Hand Line (Hand Line) For Semi-Automatic Squid in Wangi-Wangi Selatan Sub-District, Wakatobi District
The amount of energy drained on fishermen when catching and using traditional squid fishing gear takes a long time, affecting fishermen's income. This research aims to design a semi-automatic squid fishing rod and determine the efficiency of using the new design of semi-automatic squid fishing gear. This research was conducted in the South Wangi-Wangi District, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, from December 2023 to January 2024. The research method used was experimental fishing, which was used to design a semi-automatic fishing rod to know the effect of using semi-automatic fishing gear on catches. The construction of the semi-automatic squid fishing rod is by the planned design and is technically feasible to use. The productivity of the research shows that from the weight of the semi-automatic squid fishing rod catch of 36.02 kg, the number of 459 tails during 16 trips. The catch of traditional squid long line with a total weight of 34.76 kg and 511 tails during 16 trips. The results of statistical tests using t-test analysis show a difference that does not significantly affect the results of both fishing gears
Calculation of Lighting Capacity on The Pinisi Tourist Ship Using the Zonal Cavity Method
Pinisi tourist ship is one of the tourist ship designs made to increase the interest of tourists to come to Taka Bonerate National Park. This tourist destination presents excellent maritime beauty, especially its coral reefs. Just like ships in general, pinisi also requires a supply of electricity, especially for use in lighting on board. This research aims to analyze the need for lighting power on board, by carrying out the concept of a tourist ship, the lighting system is also made like in a hotel with the aim of pampering tourists. In planning, the lighting system is made into two conditions, namely conditions during sleep and normal conditions. The type of lamp used is an LED lamp which is proven to be better than other types of lamps. The method used is the zonal cavity method or usually called the lumen method. The advantage of this method is that the power of the lights used in the room will be just right according to the needs of the room, neither more nor less, so it won't interfere with your eyesight because the lights don't feel dim or too bright. The results obtained were the following values for each Junction Lighting (JL), bottom deck (JL1) obtained a value of 0.419 kW, main deck (JL2) obtained a value of 1.058 kW, upper deck (JL3) obtained a value of 0.893 kW. The calculation value for the Junction Emergency (JE) was also obtained at 0.506 kW
Influence of Front and Rear Wings on Aerodynamic Forces in a Student Formula Car
Aerodynamic forces affect the stability of a car when moving, especially when turning. This study conducted a CFD analysis of the influence of wings on the student formula car when turning. The addition of front and rear wings to the formula car increases drag, downforce, and side forces. Except for an airplane that is landing, large drag forces are always avoided, as well as side forces that can interfere with vehicle stability. Interestingly, in contrast to drag and downforce, the coefficient of side forces tends to decrease as cornering speed increases. The increase in downforce or negative lift in this formula car is more dominant and significant than that in the others, and it is very beneficial in increasing wheel grip and traction on the car’s stability when turnin
