Comparison of Logistic Regression and Support Vector Machine in Predicting Stroke Risk
The issue of health is the third goal of Indonesia's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which is state to ensuring a healthy life and promoting prosperity for all people at all ages. One of the SDGs’s concerns is deaths caused by non-communicable diseases (NCDs) including strokes. One prevention that can be done is by making a prediction of stroke for early detection. There are various methods available which are statistical methods and machine learning methods. In this research work, we aim to compare the two methods based on statistical method and machine learning method on stroke risk prediction. The data used in this research is primary data from Universitas Airlangga Hospital (RSUA) from June until August 2023. In this research, we compare the statistical method that is Logistic Regression (LR), and the machine learning method which is Support Vector Machine(SVM). We use Phyton to analyze all methods in this research. The results show that SVM with Radial Basis Kernel is better than LR in predicting stroke risk based on three goodness criteria namely sensitivity, F-1 score and accuracy where these three goodness criteria values of SVM are greater than those of LR
Performance and Emission Characteristics of Diesel Engines Using Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil with Cetane Number Improver
The depletion of fossil fuel reserves has led to a global energy crisis, with increasing demand for alternative energy sources. Diesel fuel shortages, especially in countries like Indonesia, have driven the exploration of biodiesel as a sustainable alternative. This study aims to convert waste cooking oil (WCO) into biodiesel, with the addition of a cetane number improver (CNI) to enhance its performance in diesel engines. The biodiesel was produced through methanolysis, and 2-Ethylhexyl Nitrate (EHN) was added to improve combustion and reduce engine knocking. The results show that the produced biodiesel had a density of 856 Kg/m³ for B0, 872.7 Kg/m³ for B0 with CNI, and 872.1 Kg/m³ for B50CN. Viscosity values were 2.32 cSt for B0, 5.645 cSt for B50, and 4.722 cSt for B50CN. The cetane index was 49.2 for B50 and B50CN, while B0 had a value of 48. The emissions measured included CO levels of 194 mg/Nm³ for B0, 254 mg/Nm³ for B50, and 280 mg/Nm³ for B50CN. NOx emissions were 852 mg/Nm³ for B0, 755 mg/Nm³ for B50, and 825 mg/Nm³ for B50CN. Oxygen content was 15.9% for B0, 14.9% for B50, and 16.2% for B50CN. The findings indicate that adding EHN to WCO biodiesel improves fuel properties but increases emissions of CO and NOx. Overall, WCO-based biodiesel with EHN is a viable alternative fuel that balances performance improvements with environmental considerations
Marketing Refurbished Products with Carbon-Emission-Constraint Policy and Consumer Behavior: Offline vs. Online Channels
Refurbished products, which are repaired or restored to a like-new condition, offer a more sustainable alternative to new products by extending their lifecycle. However, the marketing of refurbished products faces several chal-lenges, including consumer perception, trust, and the impact of carbonemission-constraint policies. This study aims to address these challenges and provide recommendations for effective marketing strategies. We explore the marketing of refurbished products within the context of carbon-emission-constraint policies, specifically comparing offline and online channels. We present two channel models, with the first model, referred to as Model O, fo-cusing on marketing refurbished products through the manufacturer’s own e-commerce channel. The second model, known as Model T, explores the al-ternative approach of outsourcing the marketing activity to a third-party en-tity. Carbon-emissionconstraint policies impose restrictions on businesses’ carbon footprint, affecting their marketing strategies. Businesses must navi-gate these policies while effectively promoting refurbished products to envi-ronmentally conscious consumers. By addressing the challenges faced in marketing refurbished products with carbon-emission-constraint policies, consumer behavior, and comparing offline and online channels, this thesis aims to provide valuable insights for businesses and policymakers to effec-tively promote sustainable consumption and contribute to a more environ-mentally conscious industry
Combined Model of Markov Switching and Asymmetry of Generalized Seasonal Autoregressive Moving Average Conditional Heteroscedasticity for Early Detection of Financial Crisis in Hong Kong
The financial crisis in Hong Kong occurred in 1997 and 2008. To prevent a crisis or reduce the impact of a crisis, action is needed through early detection of the crisis using export indicator. The combination of Markov Switching and Asymmetric Generalized Seasonal Autoregressive Moving Average Conditional Heteroscedasticity (MS-AGSARMACH) models explains the crisis well. The results show that the MSAGSARMACH(2,1,1) model can explain past and future crises well
Analysis of Human Development Index in West Nusa Tenggara Province with Spatial Panel Model
The purpose of this article is to examine the factors that influence the human development index (HDI) in West Nusa Tenggara using a spatial panel model. This research is crucial because it can analyze correlations between regions and is more efficient, informative, and effective in HDI modeling. The data structure is panel data, where observation units are the cities and regencies in West Nusa Tenggara Province for 2010 to 2022. A human development index serves as the dependent variable. The independent variables were per capita expenditure, average length of school, length of school expectations, and life expectancy. The Rook contiguity and the customized matrix (transportation routes) are used to examine geographical impacts. The results of the analysis indicate: 1) there are spatial linkages between districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara; 2) the SAR Fixed Effect model is the most appropriate spatial model to model the human development index; 3) the human development index can be improved simultaneously by factors such as life expectancy, expected length of schooling, average length of schooling, and per capita expenditure; and 4) life expectancy is the main factor affecting the human development index

Technical Study of Ship Plate Firing Process Time with Variation of Deformation Values
In the process of shipbuilding production and repair, deformation is sometimes encountered due to several factors, starting from load pressure, pulling, lifting, and welding processes. A fairing process is carried out to overcome the plate deformation, in which the plate is heated and cooled simultaneously. The method used in this research is direct time measurement during the fairing process on test plate specimens with variations in the depth of deformation curvature. The data obtained, processed, and analyzed to obtain an estimate of the fairing processing time the longer the fairing process takes, following the equation Y = 41.285X + 530.94, where X is the deformation angle, and Y is the estimation fairing processing time area per half square meter
Transformasi Motif Ornamen Melayu Pada Perancangan Resort
