    Daya tarik Kota Surabaya sebagai kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia meningkatkan persaingan diantara masyarakatnya untuk mendapat kehidupan yang lebih baik. Persaingan inilah yang menyebabkan angka kriminalitas di Kota Surabaya menjadi tinggi. Kejahatan jalanan merupakan kejahatan yang berada pada ruang publik dan dapat terjadi pada seorang. Seorang pelaku kejahatan tentunya tidak melakukan kejahatan di suatu tempat tidak berdasarkan pertimbangan. Sehingga lokasi kejahatan tersebut dapat dipelajari. Ruang-ruang terisolasi, sepi, gelap, tidak terdapat banyak orang dianggap lebih rawan akan kejahatan. Disamping itu lingkungan dengan masyarakat kurang mengenal satu sama lain, lingkungan dengan kepadatan tinggi. lingkungan yang kurang terawat, dan kurang rapi dapat memicu terjadinya kejahatan.Wawancara terhadap responden mengenai persepsi mereka terhadap sebuah ruang kriminalitas. Melalui metode content analysis dari hasil wawancara, diinterpretasikan pendapat responden mengenai faktor ruang yang memicu kriminalitas. Melalui content analysis tersebut pula dapat diketahui ruang-ruang yang memicu kejahatan di luar adanya teori atau stereotip masyarakat.Dari penelitian ini didapatkan persepsi-persepsi masing-masing responden terhadap ruang rawan kejahatan. Sehingga didapatakan variabel keruangan yang memicu kriminalitas menurut berbagai sudut pandang

    Acquisition and Data Logging Inertial Navigation System (INS) on Combat Submarine Using Arduino-SD Card

    In a combat submarine operating system, navigation device acts as a location information provider on  inside or at sea level. Such information is position data provided by GPS (Global Positioning System) and data transmitted by IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor. Combining these two device is called INS (Inertial Navigation System). This inertial sensor interacts using serial communication data, however records are needed to collect, store and store incoming data in order to be processed easily. Data logging process is feasible as a recorder and data storage using SD Card. Enhancements, such as SD cards are needed because in general system is equipped with a small memory capacity. Arduino is a microcontroller that can assist in process because data obtained from sensor is processed using serial communication lines (RX and TX). Results obtained from calculation and logging data are calculation Roll, Pitch, Heading, Latitude, Longitude, Microseconds, Gyroscope on X axis, Y, Z, Accelerometer on X axis, Y, Z, Magnetometer on X, Y, Z, Velocity North, East, Down. This proves that system acceleration and data logging using Arduino and SD Card can assist in obtaining information and KTBA situation

    Agung Volcano is a stratovolcano located in the area of Karangasem regency of Bali and is in the northwest-southeast fault alignment with Batur, Abang and Seroja Volcano. The existence of this alignment allegedly related to the fracture in the northwest of the island of Bali. The eruption of Agung Volcano recorded on November 25th, 2017 was a significant danger for people living around it. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the activity of Agung Volcano. The method used in this study is the relocation of volcanic earthquake sources to determine the location of the source of the earthquake which caused an increase in Mount activity. Hypocenter relocation was carried out on 138 earthquake events during October 2017-January 2018 using the Coupled Velocity-Hypocenter method. Hypocenter was obtained at a depth of less than 10 km under sea level with an RMS value <0.3 seconds, and this is thought to have a flow of magma fluid through the conduit which moves towards the earth's surface and triggers an eruptio

    The cracker cutter has been developed for many years, but still expensive, less effective, and not suitable  for wheat cracker cutting. The purposes of this research is to design a tool for suitable cutting, cheap and non-electrical wheat crackers. The design apply using stainless wire and mechanism of the suppressor for cutting. To be able to engineer the tools, it is necessary to prepare materials such as iron elbow, stainless steel, iron plates, bolts, stainless wires, pipes polyvinyl chloride (pvc) and springs.  The results show that an average cutting time about 12 kg/hour. In economic calculation there is discrepancies capacity per month 2060 kg or IDR. 123,600,000. There is an increase in capacity of 1700%

    Discrepancy of Home-Based School Regulation in West Jakarta Study Case of Student High School of 78 and 16

    The Local Government has been limiting prospective students by implementing home-based school regulations since 2013. The study highlights the spatial pattern of trip distribution of Student High School of 78 and 16 in which both are located near the west border of Jakarta as the impact of government regulation. Primary data were collected using questionnaires and GPS receiver used to capture the coordinate points of schools and students’ home address. Secondary data included Administrative and Road Network Map. The methods applied involved Mapping Network Analysis and Statistical Cross Tabulation. Network analysis was performed to evaluate nearest school to student and a set of origin-destination (OD) matrix. Cross tabulation was applied to evaluate the frequency of student travel pattern. The analyses showed that Student High School of 78 trip distribution was widen and widespread than of Student High School 16

    Study the Duration of Steam Power Plant’s Maintenance to Improve the Equivalent Availability Factor

    Periodic maintenance of power plants is included in the project. Shorter project duration than scheduled indicates the success of the project. For the electricity industry, operating earlier will increase the availability index, which in turn will increase revenue. The standard maintenance work scope of the power plant owner is presented in a detailed work structure of the project as known as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Project scheduling is done using network technique with the Critical Path Method (CPM). All activities that are on the critical path can be done crashing to speed up work in shortening the duration of treatment. Crashing is done by utilizing the cost slope of critical activities. So information can be obtained about the costs of several possible durations. The study of power plant maintenance using a cost slope gets an accelerated duration with the smallest cost, which is 28 days. With a maintenance duration of 28 days the total cost is 3,854,670,611 rupiahs and with an additional income of 429,643,368 rupiah from normal income of 21,404,712,886 rupiah

    Improving supply chain management is one way to excel in competition. The selection of suppliers is an important part because the lack of proper supplier selection can lead to losses for the company. In its practice, the supplier selection process is more frequently based on a supplier that can provide the lowest price. This happens because the supplier selection process is considered to be at the operational level and not at the strategic level. The number of raw material suppliers on the construction project makes the developers be careful in choosing the material that is according to the developers’ plans. All this time, the selection of suppliers involves many factors, sometimes a supplier has a good performance in terms of the delivery process, yet lacks in terms of quality compared to other suppliers and vice versa. Therefore, research must be done with a method that can take the factors, both the qualitative and quantitative, into consideration. This study is conducted to identify the factors of the selection of construction raw material suppliers and the support of alternative decision support in the selection of construction raw material suppliers. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors of the selection of raw material suppliers and the support of alternative decision in the selection of construction raw material suppliers. This research is expected to help the construction industry, especially in the city of Jember regarding the importance of knowing the factors of the selection of construction raw material suppliers and the decision of the selection of construction raw material suppliers especially if the selection of the construction raw material is in the power of the developer. The method used is the integration of AHP and Vikor using rough number. This research is expected to facilitate the process of selecting raw material suppliers and the selection of its alternatives.The results of this study gain the order of priority of 9 criteria and 23 sub-criteria. The recommended selection of suppliers based on its ranking on the sand suppliers is sand supplier P3, sand supplier P2, and sand supplier P1.     The paper aims to measure the overhead costs and economic benefits of risk management activities in the production process - a manufacturing company. This research uses Activity Based Management (ABM) approach to allocate and track overhead costs in risk management activities. The overhead costs of risk management activities include the costs of identifying, analyzing, evaluating and controlling risks in order to achieve the quality objectives of the production process. The company obtains economic benefits, first, from reducing overhead costs incurred per period from the results of improvements to non-value-added or high-cost activities; second, cost savings obtained from the achievement of quality objectives per period. Moreover, it is also a site for many biodiversity to live together in a balanced ecosystem. Recently, global awareness is directed to the alarming destruction of environment and its’ potential threats for human and other living things, as the impacts of human social-economical activities. Many efforts are executed to avoid or minimize future environmental damage. One of those endeavours is environmental education for young generation. Growing children’s environmental knowledge, protection skills and management as well as caring and responsible character can be an endurant solution. This study aims to examine some learning aspects in environmental education through green school development in MI Walisongo, Desa Sawohan, Sidoarjo. The study is based on a qualitative inquiry conducted by using direct participant observation as its’ data collection method. The study finds that environmental education requires a wide range of learning experiences, relating to emotion, direct practice and cognition development.
