    COMPARATIVE STUDY OF SINGLE STEEL PILE BEARING CAPACITY BETWEEN GEO5 SOFTWARE AND EMPIRICAL FORMULA METHOD

    Abstract: Pile foundation is a part of the Sub-structure that is used to receive and distribute loads from the superstructure to the ground at a certain depth, where it requires suitable bearing capacity. Empirical formula is the one of the methods for calculating pile bearing capacity that based on Standard Penetration Test (SPT) value. This method consumes plenty of time compared with the current method using Geo 5 software. However, the pile bearing capacity results among these methods should be verified beforehand. Therefore, it is necessary to do a comparison of pile bearing capacity laid on various soil types between the empirical formula and the Geo5 program based on SPT data to obtain the value of the correction factor and to find out which method is nearest to the Geo5 software. The Luciano decourt empirical method results are closer to the Geo5 software for all soil types, both of the end bearing and floating pile conditions with ratio values of 0.90 and 1.09 for dominant clay, 0.97 and 0.96 for dominant silt, and 0.84 and 0.89 for dominant sand. As for the Bazaara Empirical Method, the results are closer to the Geo5 program for the dominant group of sand in floating pile conditions with a ratio value of 0.99. Hence, the Luciano Decourt's empirical formula is more recommended than Bazaara's empirical formula

    Experimental Study of Electrode Variation Effect on Connection Strength for Underwater Welding

    SMAW welding has various electrodes that can be used in underwater welding. This study will analyze the influence of electrode type on mechanical properties and the influence ofwelding position on the mechanical properties of joints for underwater welding. This experiment results show that the E7016 electrode pull test has a superior value than the E6013 and E7018 electrodes; when compared between E6013 and E7016, it is reasonable if the E7016 is stronger than E6013 and the frequency level is higher than E6013 even if it already uses a different amper. However, if the E7016 electrode compared to the E7018 is still superior to the E7016 electrode using the same voltage and amper. In addition, the results of macro test observations show that welding using the E7018 electrode has lower porosity levels than E7016 electrodes, while with the same experiment results, the tensile strength of the E7016 is superior to the E7018. So that the power value of E7016 electrodes can be superior to E7018 in this experiment is not only based on porosity that occurs but also slag and imperfect penetration also determines the strength of welding results by using E7016 electrodes

    Selulosa asetat merupakan turunan dari selulosa. Karakteristik selulosa asetat sendiri berbentuk padatan putih, tak beracun, tak berasa dan tak berbau. Selulosa asetat dibuat dari bahan baku dissolving pulp melalui dua tahap proses utama, yaitu tahap perubahan selulosa menjadi selulosa triasetat di dalam reaktor asetilasi dan merubah selulosa triasetat menjadi selulosa diasetat di dalam reaktor hidrolisis. Pabrik ini direncanakan akan didirikan di Kabupaten Pelalawan, Provinsi Riau, dimana pertimbangan utama pemilihan lokasi ini adalah ketersediaan bahan baku, lahan, dan nilai UMK tenaga kerja. Pabrik direncanakan beroperasi secara kontinyu 24 jam selama 330 hari pertahun operasi dengan perencanaan apasitas produksi sebesar 56942.24 ton per tahun, jumlah tenaga kerja sebanyak 168 orang per hari dan kebutuhan bahan baku: 36748.01 ton/tahun.Pabrik ini direncanakan beroperasi pada tahun 2025. Modal diperoleh dengan perbandingan 60% modal sendiri dan 40% modal pinjaman. Pendirian pabrik selulosa asetat memerlukan biaya investasi modal kerja tetap (fixed capital) sebesar Rp.440,656,664,338.14, modal kerja (working capital) Rp77,762,940,765.55, investasi total Rp. 518,419,605,103.69, biaya produksi per tahun Rp3,511,729,478,099 dan hasil penjualan per tahun sebesar Rp6,601,666,700,041.43. Dari analisa ekonomi didapatkan Internal Rate of Return sesudah pajak sebesar 19.6%, POT sesudah pajak 3,3 tahun, dan nilai NPV adalah Rp6,933,371,159,281. Dari hasil uraian di atas, ditinjau dari segi teknis dan ekonomis, pabrik selulosa asetat ini layak didirikan

In this case, one of the malls in the Tidar area of Surabaya is more important than most of the malls in general in the city of Surabaya. At the XYZ mall area, visitors are seen lonely from day to day, this is a big question mark whether visitors are satisfied to receive a compilation of visiting the mall. For this reason, the satisfaction of visitors and customers in the mall is an important factor in determining the buying and selling activities in the mall. The research offered suggests about customer satisfaction and customer loyalty proposed by, hedonic value, Relaxation Value, socialization value, Utilitarian Value. This can affect the purchasing power of consumers to buy at the mall. Satisfaction can provide a supported spending will, thus providing a significant turnover of money. By creating a sense of satisfaction can generate customer loyalty in the mall. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to visitors or customers who have come to the XYZ mall. The method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling. by Processing data using Smart PLS software because the research model is complex. The findings in this study are the outcome variable, Hedonic Value, Relaxation Value, and Socialization Value regarding customer satisfaction and customer loyalty, while the Utilitarian Value only has a significant effect on customer satisfaction. The results of this study are expected to make the mall management considerations to develop the right strategy in increasing the number of visitors and customers to come to the mall

    The attractiveness of physical settings covers from its initial concentration on ordinary settings to anthropogenic environments, including the beauty of everyday life in the late twentieth century. A mosque is a place of worship that tends to be influenced by the legacy of glorious Islamic civilization in Indonesia. The current modern architectural design shows the existence of environmental aesthetics and local culture without losing the essence of the mosque as a place of worship. This study aims to determine the public's perception of architectural criticism of mosques with unique designs based on modernity and local culture. The method used is a descriptive case study scrutinizing respondents' perceptions in criticizing the mosque building through online questionnaires. Twenty respondents with an architectural background and 20 without architectural knowledge were chosen to answer Likert scale-based questions. The questions refer to three architectural aspects: symbols or characters, attractiveness, and functionality of the mosque. The results showed that respondents with architectural education background dominantly perceived an eminent consensus on the three architectural features compared to the ones of non-architectural environment. This indicates that respondents with an architectural education background understood the symbolic facet of the setting's attractiveness of mosque better when viewed from architectural criticism's point of view

    Cost overrun yang berhubungan langsung dengan kinerja biaya masih menjadi fenomena dalam kegiatan konstruksi gedung sampai dengan saat ini. Banyak variabel penyebab cost overrun, seperti kondisi site, desain, estimasi, perubahan pekerjaan, perbaikan pekerjaan, kompleksitas pekerjaan, kondisi ekonomi, fluktuasi harga, inflasi, bahkan kondisi alam serta cuaca, dll. Dari sekian banyak faktor tersebut terdapat beberapa variabel yang dapat diatasi dengan digitalisasi, sekarang dikenal dengan implementasi cara kerja konstruksi digital. Penelitian ini menganalisis penambahan kinerja biaya akibat tiga variabel penyebab cost overrun (desain, estimasi, rework / perbaikan pekerjaan) setelah implementasi konstruksi digital. Analisa menggunakan SPSS dengan Model Regresi Linier Berganda dan RII. Hasil penelitian ini pada konstruksi gedung Indonesia, dengan mayoritas responden dari kontraktor 85.5%, dan konsultan 5.5% menunjukkan bahwa setelah digitalisasi cost overrun yang terjadi sampai dengan dibawah 1% dominan pada total biaya produksi, biaya bahan, dan biaya upah

    PENGARUH MODEL PERKUATAN BAMBU TERHADAP NILAI CBR TANAH LEMPUNG LUNAK

    Tanah lempung lunak memiliki daya dukung rendah dan CBR rendah, hal ini berpengaruh pada kemampuan tanah dasar jalan dalam menahan beban di atasnya. Karaterisitik tanah dasar yang kurang baik dapat diperbaiki dengan perkuatan grid bambu dan matras bambu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan efektifitas perkuatan dalam meningkatkan nilai CBR tanah dasar jalan. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanah lempung lunak yang diperkuat dengan 1-3 lapis baik grid bambu maupun matras bambu dengan kepadatan dari pemadatan standar masing-masing 3 dan 5 lapis. Nilai CBR didapatkan dari pengujian CBR laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkuatan cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan nilai CBR tanah lempung lunak. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai CBR tanah tanpa perkuatan hanya 2,75%, akan tetapi tanah dengan perkuatan mampu menghasilkan nilai CBR maksimum 5,70% pada 3 lapis matras bambu.

    Lifting works are included in the group of high-risk work where there are many potential risks of work accidents that may occur. This is the background for conducting research on the use of cranes in lifting work for intstallation of vessel LP (Low Pressure) and HP (High Pressure) Separator for PLTP Rantau Dedap project. The research on the analysis of lifting work carried out is the comparison of construction methods using crawler cranes and mobile cranes to achieve a lifting operation plan that can take place properly and safely at a cost that is within the budget because it meets the criteria of applicable regulations and standards. This research aims to determine the right type of crane for lifting works. It is hoped that in the future it can prevent work accidents on lifting works so that it can increase work productivity, on time according to work schedules and company profits. The results show that the lifting work at the Rantau Dedap PLTP project is more appropriate when using a crawler crane

    Analisa kebutuhan Tipikal Fondasi untuk Rumah 1-2 Lantai di Wilayah Tegal Bagian Utara Tanah Di Wilayah Tegal Bagian Utara

    Potensi bahaya penurunan tanah lunak yang terjadi pada daerah utara Tegal akibat beban pemukiman dengan mengkaji data uji lapangan dan laboratorium tanah di utara Tegal. Kajian penurunan tanah dan kecepatan penurunan tanah dilakukan dengan kombinasi program Plaxis yang menggunakan prinsip elemen hingga dan metode manual konsolidasi pada beban pemukiman. Analisis menghasilkan bahwa rumah tinggal 1 lantai di daerah utara Tegal  dengan pondasi telapak mengalami penurunan sebesar 43 mm dan daya dukung 70 kPa sehingga masih dalam batas range persyaratan yaitu maksimum 75 mm dan minimum 65 kPa. Rumah tinggal 2 lantai di daerah utara Tegal  tidak disarankan untuk menggunakan pondasi telapak dan geotekstile karena masih belum dapat memenuhi syarat batas.  Rumah 2 lantai disarankan menggunakan pondasi dalam minipile 0.2x0.2 m dengan kedalaman 15 m. Desain tersebut sudah masuk dalam range batas yaitu 170 kPa dan 20 mm sehingga masih dalam batas persyaratan yaitu maksimum 75 mm dan minimum 65 kPa
