    ANALISIS PENETAPAN KRITERIA KAWASAN HUTAN

    The purpose of this analysis is to determine ( 1 ) What are the criteria based on the forest slope , soil type and rainfall can be used as a basis for determining the hedging function , functional conservation and production functions , and ( 2 ) the criteria to meet the balance of forest ecosystems in the created in the layout plan of the province.The research was conducted for 4 ( four ) months from December 2012 to April 2013 , at the Faculty of Agriculture University GIS Laboratory Mulawarman , and several government agencies East Kalimantan Province .Data collection is done by : ( 1 ) data collection library , ( 2 ) data collection of government policy , and ( 3 ) observation satellite map.This research used descriptive analysis method by comparing the criteria with the forest setting policy rules of the forest ecosystem and forest conditions in the field that have a negative impact on the environment . Data from the analysis of Landsat satellite imagery from the comparator would be a real forest conditions , and generally explore the benefits and functions of the forest as is .The results showed that : ( 1 ) setting the criteria forest slope , soil type , and rainfall can not be made the basis of the criteria in determining the area of protected forests , forest conservation and forest production , and ( 2 ) the main criteria that can be used the setting is the availability of forest trees count as forming community forest

    PEMANFAATAN LAHAN BEKAS TAMBANG SEBAGAI MEDIA TUMBUH TANAMAN BUDIDAYA DENGAN APLIKASI DOLOMIT DAN SERESAH TANAMAN DENGAN TANAMAN UJI KAILAN

    The post mining soil has generally known for its high acid, poisonous compound and low macro nutrient concentration. (N, P, K, Ca, and Mg).  At this particular soil condition, many of the cultivation plants cannot grow well.  Therefore, a research needs to be conducted in order to repair the post mining soil condition by means of increasing the pH and macro nutrient concentration through calcification and litter addition.   This research had been done in November until December 2012 at the Agronomy Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty of The Mulawarman University used the Complete Random Design of Factorial (RAL) 2 x 5, with 3 times repetition.  The first factor was the Dolomite (D) with 2 levels (d0 = 0 g dolomite/kg soil, and d1 = 6,06 g dolomite/kg soil.  The second factor was the litter (T) with 5 levels (t0 = 0 g/kg soil, t1 = acacia litter (Acacia Mangium Will) 100 g/kg soil, t2 = Arachis pintoi litter Krapov. & W.C. Greg 100 g/kg soil, t3= seashore flower (Wedelia trilobata (L.) Hitchc) litter 100 g/kg soil and T4 = sengon litter (Albizzia Falcataria) 100 g/kg soil.  This research used the Kailan plant (Brassica oleraceae L. var acephala DC).   On the soil which had no dolomite, litter treatment A. Pintoi Krapov.&.K.C.Greg and sengon had positive impact on the pH increase, also for C-organic, N-total, and decreased the C/N value ratio, and Al3+content, followed by the seashore flower litter also influenced positively to the pH, C-organic, N-total increase, and decreased Al3+content.  Acacia influenced positively to the C-organic and N-total also, but negatively influenced the C/N ratio and Fe solubility.  The dolomite treatment with sengon litter gave additional height to the plants, leaves quantity and wide better than other treatment.

    The purposes of the research was to know about: (1) the effect of giving organic fertilizer nasa and the origin of planting material on the growth and crop of strawberry plant; (2) the best result of origin planting material on the growth of strawberry plant; and (3) the best interaction of giving fertilizer with origin planting material to the growth and crop of strawberry plant.The research was conducted in Faperta garden of 17 August 1945 University, Samarinda City, East Borneo Province. It took about 6 months from March to August 2012. The completely randomized design was employed for this research with factorial analysis 3 x 4 and 3 replications. The fist factor is the origin of planting material which consists of 3 levels, namely the fist stolon (s1), second stolon (s2), and third stolon (s3). The second factor  is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer nasa, which consists of 4 levels : without poc nasa (n0), poc nasa 2,5 ml/liter of water (n1), poc nasa 5 ml/liter of water, and 7,5 ml/liter of water.The treatment of giving liquid organic fertilizer nasa is different and not visible to the growth of plant height (4, 8, and 12 weeks after planting), the number of stolon tillers, and the number of fruits. It is different and visible on the age of plant as it is growing first stolon, and fresh fruits weight per fruit. While at the age when the plant is flowering shows the result, different and very visible. The treatment of origin of planting material is different and not visible to the increase of plant height 8 weeks after planting, the fruits weight per fruit, and the number of fruits. The parameter of plant height 4 weeks after planting, the number of stolon tillers, and the age of plant when it is flowering, the treatment of origin planting material show the different and very visible. The interaction of giving liquid organic nasa and the origin of planting materials, from all parameter is showed the different and not visible

    PENGARUH CEKAMAN KEKERINGAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PADI GOGO LOKAL, KULTIVAR JAMBU

    Dry land is one type marginal land, because of drought caused many negative impacts on plants. Drought will cause a disruption of metabolic processes of plants such as the inhibition of nutrient absortion, inhibition ofcell division and enlargement, decreased enzyme activity and the closure of stomata, so that growth and development of palnts become stunted.This research aims to study the response of soil water stress to growth and yield of Jambu local upland rice. The experiment was conducted in green house, at Faculty of Agriculture, Mulawarman University. The study consisted of one experiments carried out by using a completely randomized design with five replications. Experiments soil water content (W) which consist five levels including field capacity (100%), 90% from field capacities, 80% from field capacity, 70% of field capacity and 60% of field capacity. The results of research that treatment of water stress showed significant different to all data. The best result obtained by treatment of water stress is treatment field capacities (WO)

This paper reviews the emerging multifunctional farming of rice based farming system, take the case of organic farming systems (fertilizers/pesticedes natural) and inorganic (using chemical production facilities) at two location in two districts of rice cultivation, which is in the district of Karanganyar and Sragen, Central Java Province. The analysis showed that rice cultivation with organic systems provide different functions and tend to be better than the inorganic system, the togetherness among farmers, soil quality maintenance function, biodiversity, reduction of environmental pollution, and the rural viability

Artinya, mereka tidak pernah menggunakan pestisida atau pupuk kimia di ladang mereka. Ini juga menyiratkan bahwa mereka tidak pernah memberi makan hewan mereka pakan non-organik atau memberikan obat-obatan kepada mereka setelah usia tertentu.Di Jakarta, produk petani harus bebas bahan kimia setidaknya selama empat tahun sebelum ia dapat memasarkannya sebagai organik bersertifikat. Secara nasional,  produksi padi selama kurun waktu 40 tahun telah meningkat empat kali lipat, sejak dari delapan juta ton hingga 32 juta ton  melalui revolusi hijau. Kencederungan produksi padi juga meningkat belakangan ini, pada tahun 2008 kembali swasembada beras dicapai. Terlebih lagi, Indonesia yang selama ini dikenal sebagai inportir terbesar, telah didekati oleh sejumlah Negara yang berminat untuk menginpor beras dari Indonesia. Situasi di Kalimantan Timur sedikit berbeda dimana swasembada  beras selama ini belum pernah dicapai. Target pencapaian yang seringkali dicanangkan masih belum mampu diwujudkan. Dengan melihat berbagai kendala di lapangan, ada beberapa aspek yang perlu dipertimbangkan manakala swasembada ingin segera dicapai, diantaranya adalah memaksimalkan fungsi irigasi drainase serta penanganan pasca panen; memaksimalkan percepatan ekstensifikasi lahan sawah baru, dan meminimalkan alih fungsi lahan sawah produktif dari penggunaan lahan lainnya.Key words : Swasembada beras, Tanaman pangan, Kalimantan Timur

Statistically, this study revealed that two parameters (rainfall and vegetation) has contribute to the discharge flow and discharge suspended load sediment  and respectively it represented by its correlation coefficient which are 0.89-0.97 and 0.86-0.94. The values tend to closed to 1 and it indicate a positive correlation between parameters and discharge flow, as well as discharge suspended load sediment. Discharge flow and discharge suspended load sediment also related each other. The increases of discharge flow will lead to the increases of discharge suspended load sediment. Discharge suspended load sediment will increase whenever a lot of sediment from erosion flow to the river body. Discharge suspended load sediment increase in the river number 2, 4 and 5 because landuse changing occurred in the upper of the rivers outside of the forest. Potential sediment volume in a year at the each sampling points are 895.38 ton at River 1,464.23 ton at river 2,889.04 ton at river 3,336.76 ton at river 4,173.68 ton at river 5 and 335.56 ton at the lake.Key words : rainfall intensity, discharge flow, suspended load sediment

The research emploved the Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) wich consisted of six insecticide treatments, i.e. : Po = Control (ni Vitura and Deltametrin application), P1 = 0,75 g Vitura L -1 water, P2  = 1,5 g Vitura L-1 water, P3  = 5 g Deltametrin L-1 (no Vitura application), P4  = 0,75 g Vitura + 5 mg Deltametrin L-1 water and P5  =  1,5 g Vitura + 5 g Deltametrin L-1 water. All treatment were repeated 5 times. The result experiment showed that the treatment affected significantly to attack intensity of pest and yield of bean. The lowest intensity of pest attack and the highst bean yield was obtained on combination of Vitura and Deltametrin at concentration 1,5 g + 5 mg L-1 water.Key words : Bean, Pest, Vitura (S/NPV, Deltametrin

The degradation is very dangerous for the continuity of Pesut population life and Pesut is highly sensitive toward changes of such factor. Based on several studies conducted, today is found that population of Pesut until the year 2010 is estimated only 50 individuals, while according to Rasi (2011), it ranged 70-80 individuals. The more reduced number of Pesut population from year to year may fear, thus the extinction of this wildlife species could occurred. Some factor influencing the declining of Pesut population are the destruction of forests, changes of Pesut distribution, decreased water oxygen levels and chemical pollution of rivers.Key words : Pesut, Mahakam, Populasi, Perubahan iklim
