Thinking Philosophically about Psychoanalysis
Get PDFThe article intends to present the Brazilian philosophical reception of psychoanalysis as an illustrative case of what it means to think philosophically about psychoanalysis. Therefore, 1) it contextualizes the proposal and results of the X CIFIP – International Congress of Philosophy and Psychoanalysis, held in November 2023 by the Philosophy and Psychoanalysis Working Group of ANPOF (National Association of Postgraduate Studies in Philosophy), 2) it answers the question where is the philosophy of psychoanalysis going?, synthetically presenting the original contribution of the Brazilian philosophical reception of psychoanalysis through the thought of Luiz Roberto Monzani (1946-2021). The conclusion is dual: 1) the proposal and results of the X CIFIP opened a horizon of work with enormous local and international potential, which can generate significant advances in the field of the philosophy of psychoanalysis in Brazil, and 2) the contribution of Brazilian philosophical reception of psychoanalysis, mediated by Monzani’s thought, is original compared to other philosophical traditions because it points to a break with the ‘interpretive epistemological model’ of the traditional reception, creating a new method of philosophical reception

The latter addresses the issues of sex, pleasure, and domination, and consequently the real of the body. Pleasure and jouissance, valued by Lacanian psychoanalysis, have, in the word, in the structure and in the movement of the four discourses (of the master, the university, the hysteric, and the analyst), plus the discourse of the capitalist, as well as in the mathemes of sexuation, a possibility of circumventing the void left by the jouissance (as evidenced in pornography). It is through language that a possibility arises for the theme to be read and the subjects 'listened to', following the psychoanalytic norm of floating attention, in the analysis of social and sexual relationships

Get PDFStarting from the 11th century, Sardinian kings called the Benedictine monastic orders to the Island. The Cistercian monks also arrived in the same historical context.
They settled mainly in the Giudicato of Torres, encouraged by King Gonnario.
Unfortunately, we do not have sufficient documentation to clarify the genesis of these monastic churches.
Traditionally among the churches of the Cistercian order in Sardinia is also the church of San Lorenzo di Silanus, located in the province of Nuoro.
We have no documentation linking the religious building to the French order.
However, the traditional context associated the church of San Lorenzo with the "white monks" in relation to the agricultural centers managed by the monks of the relevant abbey. This type of system was called grange.
The church of San Lorenzo is characterized by a series of sculptures placed in the external walls. While inside there are some paintings representing saints. The evidence relating to the building imposes a series of critical considerations that could help to better understand the history of the church of San Lorenzo.A partire dall’XI secolo le istituzioni giudicali sarde avviarono una politica mirata ad incentivare il trasferimento degli ordini monastici benedettini nell’Isola. Tra questi, figura anche l’ordine cistercense, fondato nel 1098 da Roberto da Molesme.
Non sono giunti fino a noi atti di fondazione, o documenti, che possano chiarire la genesi degli insediamenti cistercensi dell’Isola. Tra queste pertinenze rientra anche la chiesa di San Lorenzo di Silanus, sita in provincia di Nuoro. Il contesto tradizionale inserisce l’edificio di culto tra i possedimenti dell’ordine francese in relazione al sistema delle grange. Si tratta di centri agricoli gestiti dai monaci e dipendenti dall’abbazia di riferimento sita nel medesimo territorio a non troppa distanza dalla grangia stessa.
La chiesa di San Lorenzo tutt’oggi mostra una serie di sculture d’apparato architettonico che decorano gli apparati esterni della chiesa, mentre all’interno è possibile ancora ammirare una parte delle pitture che ornavano le pareti. Lo studio dell’edificio impone una serie di considerazioni critiche che riguardano i vari aspetti nel tentativo di indurre ad una nuova lettura critica degli alzati e delle decorazioni

Get PDFThis article focuses on the late medieval liturgical furnishings of the Cathedral of Benevento, and in particular on the pulpits and the Easter candelabrum made by the sculptor Nicola da Monteforte Irpino in 1311 and destroyed in 1943. Through the analysis of the surviving sculptural fragments and the re-examination of historical, textual and iconographic sources, this study proposes the reconstruction of the original arrangement of the pulpits and the candelabrum. Aspects related to the function and iconographic program of the pulpits and to the role of Nicola da Monteforte are also examined in depth.Oggetto di questo studio è l’arredo liturgico tardomedievale della cattedrale di Benevento e, in particolare, gli amboni e il candelabro per il cero pasquale realizzati dallo scultore Nicola da Monteforte Irpino nel 1311 e andati distrutti nei bombardamenti del 1943. Nel contributo – attraverso l’analisi dei frammenti scultorei superstiti e il riesame delle fonti storiche, testuali e iconografiche – ci si concentra sulla ricostruzione dell’assetto originario dei pulpiti e dell’annesso candelabro pasquale, approfondendo aspetti connessi alla funzione, al programma iconografico e al ruolo dell’artista, Nicola da Monteforte
