    WARM COMPRESS EFFECTIVENESS IN REDUCING DYSMENORRHOEA PAIN INTENSITY ON STIKES RS. BAPTIS KEDIRI STUDENTS

    Abdominal muscle contraction that occurs continuously as blood discharge during menstruation will cause pain (dysmenorrhoea). Giving warm compress will be dilates blood vessels and increase local blood flow which resulting relaxation and can reduce pain. The purpose of research was to analyze warm compress as an effort to decrease dysmenorrhoea’s pain intensity. The design of this research was pre-experimental one group pre-post test design. The population was 4th grade students of STIKES RS. Baptis Kediri who experienced Dysmenorrhoea that met inclusion criteria. The samples were 30 respondents. The data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with significant level α ≤ 0.05. The results showed 16 respondents (53.3%) experienced severe pain and 14 respondents (46,7%) experienced moderate pain before given warm compress. After given warm compress, 19 respondents (63.3%) experienced mild pain and 11 responden (36,7%) experienced moderate pain. The conclusion is warm compresses can reduce the intensity of severe pain to mild pain in dysmenorrhoea women

    THE STAGE OF ALCOHOL ABUSE BASED ON TYPE OF PERSONALITY TO ADOLESCENT OF SCOOTER COMMUNITY BANGKIT IN KEDIRI

    Adolescent community their tends to abuse alcohol. The objective of this research describing the stage of alcohol abuse based on type of personality to adolescents. The research design was descriptive. The population was all adolescents in the. Scooter Community Bangkit in Kediri. The samples were 30 respondents quota sampling. The variables were the stage of alcohol abuse and type of personality. The was collected using questionnaire and  analyzed using Frequency Distribution. The results showed that the adolescents of scooter community majority (100%)  alcohol abuse happened on the stage of social and recreational (33.3%) and experimental stage (23.3%). Meanwhile the type of personality that supported the stage of alcohol abuse phlegmatic type (36.7%) and melancholic type (26.7%). It could be concluded  adolescent of Scooter  majority on the stage of alcohol abuse was on the of social and recreational. Meanwhile phlegmatic and melancholic types dominant against alcohol abuse

    GIVING MEDICINE THROUGH INTRAVENOUS TOWARDS INCIDENT OF PHLEBITIS TO HOSPITALIZED PATIENT IN HOSPITAL

    Phlebitis incident is a reflection of the character of health care. The sign of phlebitis include an increase of skin temperature on the veins, pain, and some cases of redness in the site of insertion or along the vein line. The purpose of this research to study the   phlebitis caused. The design used was cross sectional. Population of this research  was all patients hospitalized at inpatient ward Kediri Baptist Hospital and all the nurses who provided medication through an intravenous tube at Kediri Baptist Hospital. The sample used was purposive sampling and the number of respondents was 23 people. The independent variable in this research was intravenous medicine application and aseptic techniques. The dependent variable was phlebitis. The data collection used in this research was observation sheet (checklist). The results 100% of nurses gave intravenous medicine with inappropriate speed, 74% of nurses do inappropriate in washing hands, 100% of respondents did not experience phlebitis. Conclusion of this research is medicine administering factor throughout intravenous tube had no effect on phlebitis, there is no dominant caused factor of phlebitis in this research

    ANXIETY REDUCTION EFFORTS TO MOTHER WITH BABY IN HIGH RISK PERINATAL ROOM THROUGH THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION

    Mothers will experience anxiety when a baby has a critical health condition and should be treated in intensive care. The purpose of this study to analyze the effect of therapeutic communication in decreasing mothers anxiety levels with infant in high-risk perinatal. The research design was pre-experimental one group pre-post test design. Population is mothers with babies who were treated in a high-risk perinatal, as many as  20 respondents, samples were taken with a total sampling method for a month, data taken through a structured interview. Given intervention is therapeutic communication with the variable being measured maternal anxiety. Analyst with the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with α£0.05. The results showed maternal anxiety levels before treatment were 50% and 65% after light treatment, and the results of statistical test obtained p = 0.001 which showed there is significant effect of giving therapeutic communication in reducing maternal anxiety. It was concluded that giving therapeutic communication by nurses can reduce the level of mothers anxiety with babies in intensive care

    Pain in the elderly, one of which resulted because of the aging process in the musculoskeletal system. The objective is study of the behavior of older adults in treatment of knee joint pain in the elderly Integrated Health Sejahtera GBI Setia Bakti Kediri. Design was descriptive, with a sample of 50 elderly, acidental sampling technique. Research variables the behavior of older adults in treatment of knee joint pain. Data questionnaires were analyzed by frequency distribution. Based on the analysis results showed most respondents have a behavior management of knee pain with good medikamentosa is 22 respondents (44.0%), more than 50% with posture correction is 32 respondents (64.0%), more than 50% with diet is 30 respondents (60.0%), more than 50% with either conservative therapy is 29 respondents (58.0%).  The conclusion of this study is the behavior of older adults in treatment of knee joint pain with medical, posture correction, diet, conservative therapy has been well

      Obedience controls carried out someone who suffers from a disease that requires control or check at the hospital. If the patient is less obedience will affect blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study to analyze compliance with the control of blood sugar levels at Baptist Hospital Kediri. The study design was cross-sectional. The population were patients with diabetes mellitus who controls or checks at Baptist Hospital Kediri. The sample of 81 respondents who met the inclusion criteria using accidental sampling. The independent variables was obedience control and the dependent variable was compliance control blood sugar levels. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets laboratory using glukocard tool. The statistical test used "Spearman's Rho" with a significance level of α ≤ 0.05 and the test result is ρ = 0.489,means that Ho is accepted. Result no correlation with compliance control blood sugar levels at Baptist Hospital Kediri. It can be concluded that there is no correlation of compliance with the control of blood sugar levels at Baptist Hospital Kediri

    Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that can not be cured. A balanced diet is one of way in management of Diabetes Mellitus. Constraint of Diabetes Mellitus diet handling is burnout of patients to follow dietary therapy and lack of family support, if there is no family support, Diabetes Mellitus patients will not obey implement diet, so uncontrolled Diabetes Mellitus and complications occur. The research objective to analyzes of family support improve patient compliance of Diabetes Mellitus diet. The design of the research was Cross-sectional with population Diabetes Mellitus patients in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital who met the inclusion criteria. The sample of the research was 25 people with accidental sampling. The data of the research was analyzed using "Wilcoxon Macth Pair". The results showed that family support can improve dietary compliance  in Diabetes Mellitus patients in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital based on significant level a≤0.05 obtained ρ=0.00 and ρ≤a. In conclusion family support can improve dietary compliance in patients with Diabetes Mellitus in inpatient ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital

    Physical changes are very influential on a person's psychological development, and will have an impact on body image, many people are doing the wrong way, whereas sports is a better way. The purpose this study was to determine the correlation body image disorder and sport activities to obesity students at Nursing Study Program S1 STIKES RS Baptis Kediri. The design this study was cross sectional with sample of 71 respondents. The Independent variable was body image disorder and dependent variable was sport activities. Sampling methode used is total sampling, by conducting research using a questionnaire. Data was analyzed by spearman Rho test with a significant value of 0.05. The results of statistical tests, p = 0.038, which means there was a correlation between body image disorder and sports activities of obesity student Nursing Study Program S 1 STIKES RS Baptis Kediri. It can be concluded that there is a correlation between body image disorder and sports activities of obesity student Nursing Study Program S1 STIKES RS Baptis Kediri

    LACK OF MOTHER’S PERSONAL HYGIENE RELATED TO DIARRHEA INCIDENT TO THE CHILDREN UNDER FIVE YEARS OLD IN PEDIATRIC WARD

    One of the factors that cause diarrhea in children under five years old is contaminated food and generally it is because the poor personal hygiene in food processing  performed by caregivers of child under five years old, especially mother. The purpose of this study to analyze the corelation between individual hygiene patern and the frequency of diarrhea incident to children under five years old in pediatric ward of Kediri Baptist Hospital. The design of this study was correlation analytic. The respondents in this study were mothers who had child under five years old who had suffered from diarrhea. The numbers of sample were 34 respondents with purposive sampling method. The independent variable was personal hygiene pattern and the dependent variable was frequency of diarrhea incident. The data was collected by quetionare and then analized using Spearman’s Rho with significance level α < 0, 05 and diarrhea incidents frequencies by interviewing the mother. The results showed p = 0.000 with a correlation coefficient of -0.882, The conclusion is poor personal hygiene of mother will increase the incidence of diarrhea in children under five years old

    SKILLS ON THE DETECTION OF EARLY MOTHER FLOWER GROW WITH BABY

    Baby’s growth and development is a developmental foundation that will influence and determine growth and development further, so that it is needed skills and the roles of mother for their growth and development as a whole process. The objective is to identify deficiencies or excess of the baby’s development process as early as possible and may provide stimulation holistically to their physic, mental, and social. The design used in this research was correlation. The populations were mother and her baby in out-patient installation Kediri baptist hospital. the samples were 81 respondents using simple random sampling. the independent variable was skill of mother and the dependent variable was growth and development. The data was collected using questionnaire and measurement of weight and height, then analyzed using statistical test of Mann-Whitney with significant level of α ≤ 0,05. The result of this research showed that most of respondent had good skills in early detection and baby’s growth and development, they were 58 respondents (72%). The result statistical test of spearman’s rho was p = 0,003, it meant ha was accepted and ho was rejected. In conclusion of this research that there was Correlation between mother’s skills on early detection of growth and development and baby’s growth and development in out-patient installation Kediri Baptist Hospital
