Persepsi Masyarakat terhadap Kinerja Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai Ciliwung: (Studi Kasus Kelurahan Cipinang Muara dan Kelurahan Bukit Duri)
This study describes the use of correspondence analysis for examining the relationship between perception of the community, residing in Cipinang Muara village and Bukit Duri village, and the performance of Ciliwung watershed management. The correspondence analysis provided a particular method that was able to describe the data in an Euclidean space such that the results could be visually examined for structure of categorical variables included in the tables. The study found that perception of the community residing in Cipinang Muara village significantly differed from that in Bukit Duri village. The attributes that might influence such differences were linked to the institution achievement, and further could be divided into two groups. The first group includes flood, landslide, soil fertility, extra/ additional incomes, and transparent activity; while the second includes drought, spring facility, road facilities and aids, when disaster occurred. The combination of both perception of the community and the performance of Ciliwung watershed management suggests that community in Bukit Duri village had a bad perception on attributes drought, spring facility, road facilities, and aids when disaster occurred. Meanwhile, there was a bad perception for the community in Cipinang Muara village toward attributes flood, landslide, soil fertility, extra/ additional incomes, and transparent activity
Analisis Preferensi Habitat Badak Jawa ( Rhinoceros sondaicus, Desmarest 1822) di Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon
Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus) is one of the rarest rhinoceros that are still existing today. Their distribution is limited to only a handful of countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, and possibly in Cambodia and Laos. In Indonesia, the species is only found in Ujung Kulon National Park (UKNP). Its population is concentrated in the Ujung Kulon peninsula. Theoretically, large animals have preferences in their habitat and therefore tend to distribute uniformly or clumped. In consequence, the management of javan rhino population and habitat must consider their habitat preference. The objectives of this study were: 1) to identify dominant habitat components that determine the presence of Javan Rhinoceros in UKNP, and 2) to formulate habitat preference typology. The study was carried out in Management Section II area of UKNP, Pandeglang District, Banten Province. Method applied was direct field observation and literature review. Based on multiple linear regressions, the dominant habitat factors preferred javan rhino were soil pH (X7) and salinity (X9). The equation formulated was Y = 6.25 – 1.12 X7 + 3.88 X9. Using Neu’s method of preferential index analysis, it was revealed that Citadahan, Cibandawoh, Cikeusik and Cigenter had preferential indices greater than 1. The data shows that javan rhinoceros mostly prefer habitats located 400-600 m from the coast, and areas located 0-400 m was considered as their second preference
The Effect of Individual Tourist and the Mixed Marketing to Services Value on Nature-Based Tourism Services
Perum Perhutani, an Indonesian State Owned Forest Company has been developed nature-based tourism services (a tourism services based on nature or environment services) since 1978. Ecotourism is considered as potential alternative answering the change of paradigm of forest products which had been ignoring forest resources product as part of the forest products. However, these ecotourism objects have not been optimally managed yet. This research was conducted by the use of descriptive and verificative methods. Structural Equation Modeling was employed as tool analyses in order to determine proper modeling approach and its solution. The research results showed that internal, external individual factors, and mixed marketing performance gave a significant influence to the tourism service value. A deeper analysis revealed that among the aspects, mixed marketing performance which was consisted of product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process showed the most significant effect to the tourism service value. In the other side, the results also showed that the most dominant factor that causing tourist hedonism was services value incrementy. The analyses finally showed that the increasing tourist hedonism through the offering a superior service value will form a superior customer value
Monitoring Vegetation Changes In Urban Area Using Landsat TM Imagery
The research area is an upper watershed and is a land culture for the peasant its self. Then in the plan of land management have to participate the social economic life of community in this area. The alternative plan of land management based on the erosion prediction (A) and to enable erosion (T). The land management and the techniques of land conservation have to arranged if A value more high then T value. This problem happened because the negative impact of land changes. These values must be manipulated in order to A value less than T value. The selection of CP value have to less then and equal with the T/RKLS ratio or the CP maximum value. The must of part of area research have A value more high then T value and plan alternative is rice field, dry field and mixed field with system tumpang sari, agro tourism and protection forest areas
Epidemiologi Hawar Daun Bibit Pinus Merkusii yang Disebabkan oleh Pestalotia theae
The objectives of the study are as follows: to know the interrelationships between the weather components as well as Pestalotia theae\u27s aerial conidiospore population and the development of needle blight on Pinus merkusii seedlings, and to determine the effect of nursery site on the early development of the disease. Two week\u27s average without interval model is the most reliable model to be used for determining the interrelationship between the development of the disease severity and the weather components. Light duration, rain fall, relative humidity and temperature are the weather components significantly affect the increase of the disease severity. The nursery in Pongpoklandak, Cianjur (26,5 - 30,5 oC; RH: 92-98 %), West Java, is the most optimal location for the development of the disease. To maintain the Disease Index at the most about 25 on seedlings over 6 months old, is the key factor for the successful management of needle blight on P. merkusii seedlings in the nursery
Memfasilitasi Pengelolaan Hutan Kolaboratif Menggunakan Pemodelan Dinamika Sistem
Increasing forest degradation and community poverty are painful. Meanwhile, the behaviors of forest resources and their stakeholders are poorly understood. Systems dynamics is an approach, which is able to capture the complexity, dynamics and uncertainty of the management of forest resources and to develop future scenarios. This approach is not sufficient, however, if it is not placed in the multi-stakeholder context, where each stakeholder plays an important role. This paper discusses the use of systems dynamic as a tool to facilitate multi-stakeholder process and social learning towards sustainable and equitable forest management. A case study was conducted at Darmaga Experimental Forest, Bogor using software ‘The Bridge’. ‘The Bridge’ facilitated the Darmaga Forest stakeholders to articulate their future vision, strategy and its indicators. Then, they were converted into a systems dynamic model where the future scenarios could be drawn and learned
Penggunaan Teknologi Penginderaan Jauh Satelit dan SIG untuk Menentukan Luas Hutan Kota
This paper describes the use of satellite Remote Sensing Technology as well as Geographic Information System on determining the minimum coverage of urban forest. The study used the Oxygen demand approach of human, lifestock, industry as well as transpartotion vehicles for estimating the need of forest coverage. The existing urban forest coverage were derived from IKONOS and SPOT Satellite Imageries. The study found that the increase of the need for urban forest was dominantly affected by the significant increase of transportation verticles during the last 5 years. If the rates of the increase of population, lifestock as well as transportation vehicles does not change, the urban forest in Bogor city is only adequate up to the year 2015. This study recomends that an action should be made to anticipate the scarceness of clean air in Bogor City. The study also found that the central Bogor District has the lowest extent of urban forest.Key word
Model Bera dalam Sistem Agroforestri (Fallow Land Model in Agroforestry Systems)
The development of tree-based agroforestry model gives consequences to the space utilization dominated by trees. Farmers take action on this condition by conniving the fallow land. This research was aimed to know the fallow land model, find the key parameters of fallow land model, and formulating the management of fallow land. The spatial model of agroforestry used in this research were trees along border, alley cropping, alternate rows and mixer. The actual data obtained were tree height, tree diameter, crown diameter, land width, and light intensity; the calculated data were land extent, the percentage of crown cover and crown density. The analysis used to determining the percentage of crown cover to calculate the affective arable land area was zone system. Zonation system maked for four zone : 1) zone 1 interval 0-1 m ; 2) zone 2 interval 1-2 m; zone 3 interval 2-3 m; zone 4 interval 3-4m.Key words: agroforestry, fallow land, silviculture, land cover, resource sharing, crown dynami
Masalah Kapasitas Kelembagaan dan Arah Kebijakan Kehutanan: Studi Tiga Kasus ((Problem of Institutional Capacity and Direction of Forestry Policy: Three Cases Study)
It has been shown by various references that performance of forestry development is determined by institutional capacity. This study was conducted to acquire knowledge of problem of forest management institution and policy change which should be able to be implemented. Studies in three locations and implementation of national policy indicated that forestry programs implemented by district/province government and central government were not accompanied by institutional strengthening efforts. The weaknesses of institution have been proven to be followed by policy failure to reach its target. Resistance to policy change stems from policy narrative and discource embedded in decision makers belief.Key words: institutional capacity, problem, policy narrative, discourc
