    Relationship Between Hope, Religiusity, Social Support, Resiliency And Subjective Well Being

    This study aims to examine a relationship between hope, religiosity, social support, resilience and subjective well being of 455 bidik misi students University Negeri Semarang.. The research method used was correlation with random sampling as sampling technique. The data was collected by 5 scale they are hope scales using the expectation scale for adult cognitive models from Snyder, social support scales using multidimensional scales of perceived social support, subjective scales using oxford happines inventory, resilience scales using resilience scales from Reivich and Sheite, whereas religiosity was measured using the scale of religiosity. To analyze the relationship, correlational product of moment parson is used. The results showed that the correlation between subjective well being and hope outcome was 0.155, the correlation between subjective wellbeing and religiosity was 0.148, correlation between subjective well being and social performance was 0.148, Correlation between subjective well being and resilience was 0.473, and there are simultaneous influence of hope, social support, religiosity and resilience, to subjective well-being. The conclusion of this study was hope, religiosity, social support, and resilience is a predictor of subjective well being

    Improvement of Students’ Ability to Analyzing Cases on Case Studies Through Journal and Learning Log

    The purpose of this research is to improve the ability of students in guidance and counseling  to  analyzing the case through journals and learning logs This research is classroom action research consists of two cycles. The research phase consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subject are students in guidance and counseling while they are in sixth semester, totaling 20 people who were taking courses in Case Study. The research instrument is the observation guidelines, assessment rubrics and documentation of case studies in the form of journals and learning logs, and case study reports. The study was conducted collaboratively with student magister’s program guidance and counseling. The results showed that in cycle 1 students are able to identify cases, to develop ideas about the case, select and use instruments to analyze the cause of the problem. The results of the research cycle 2, showed 17 of the 20 students were able to analyze the cause of the problem, select the type of service and provide appropriate assistance in accordance with problem cases. Overall value obtained by the students in the subject of Case Studies also increased. In terms of the ability of explanation of the concept, the concept of truth and creativity, based on the ratings given by fellow students of average ability students were in either category, although there is less good, as are associated with the activity of the opinion and the quality of the opinions expressed

    Violence in children is a physical act of aggression by parents who can cause trauma and even bring death to children. Purpose of research: 1. knowing the appropriate role of  parenting; 2. knowing the acts of violence on children; 3. knowing the source of learning to avoid acts of violence on children. Research method used qualitative description, data collection: observation and interview in the form of discussion. The result of research: Parenting role consists of authoritarian, democratic, authoritative, and permissive. Violence occurs in children in the form of physical, psychological, and economic violence. Learning resources that can be utilized in an effort to avoid acts of violence in children can be made based on material elements or messages, people, and materials

    Metaphor Counseling and Students Responsibility on Elementary School

    The research aimed to figure out the effect of metaphor counseling in STAR KIDS (Story Teach Responsibility for Kids) module toward the responsibility of 6-7-year-old students of the first grade of elementary school. The research used untreated control group design by providing pretest and posttest sample design. The research subject consisted of 21 students in the experimental group and 26 students as the control group. The responsibility data collection performed by using observation guideline checklist, which quantified in the interval scale. SPM Raven scale measured the children's bits of intelligence. The STAR KIDS treatment is given in 15 meetings. The results of the pretest and posttest were analyzed by using Anacova analysis technique through SPSS 17 for Windows. The research result showed that (1) students of experiment group who received STAR KIDS metaphor counseling showed higher responsibility increase rather than students of a control group who did not receive the treatment, (2) The intelligence of the students did not show the effect on the effectiveness of counseling metaphor

    Reality Group Counseling to Improving Self-Esteem of Students

    Reality group counseling is a short-term therapy that focuses on the present moment, emphasizes personal power, and on the dasamya is the way in which the members of the group can learn behaviors and more realistic. Group counseling activities of reality can also make its members better appreciate opinions of others, and bolder posited opinion are responsible for developing self esteem with eight stages as follows: (1) counselor demonstrated involvement with konseli (be friend), (2) focus on the behavior now, (3) explore the total behavior konseli, (4) konseli judge for yourself or do evaluation, (5) the responsible action plan, (6) make commitment, (7) receive no apology or excuse konseli, (8) follow-up. self esteem is individual assessment against him, describing the extent to which the individual assess her as a person who has the ability, keberartian, valuable, and competent

    This study is correlation research, which aims to find the relationship between academic self-efficacy, social support and self-regulation in learning. Study participants are students of Guidance and Counseling. Measuring instrument used is the scale of academic self-efficacy, social support scale and the scale of self-regulation. Methods of data analysis using product moment correlation. The results of the study (1) the image of self-efficacy of students' academic middle category, social support parents of students that are in the low category, and regulation of student learning in middle category, (2) there is a relationship which significant between self-efficacy of academic regulations learning, there the relationship between social support parents with regulation of learning, and there is a mutual relationship between academic self-efficacy and parental support with regulation of student learning

    CYBERBULLYING: STUDENT’S BEHAVIOR IN VIRTUAL WORLDS

    Abstract: Concerning about student’s negative behaviors in using of the internet encouraged the survey to describe the behavior of students in the virtual world. The sample consisted of 497 students, consisting of 336 women and 161 men, taken by proportional random sampling. Instruments of data collection using questionnaire. The results showed that mobile phones become the primary tool in the move to the internet is more widely used to send the message. Using internet lasting for more  two hours per day, and carried anywhere. Activities at home is higher than the on-campus in the surf. Most students use the internet to find the source of the task, followed by activities on facebook. Three major forms of cyberbullying behaviors students were  outing, flaming and harassment. While experience as a victim of cyberbullying was in the form of flaming, harassment, and cyber-stalking.Keywords: cyberbullying; students behavior

    COUNSELING SERVICES BASED RESEARCH TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEARNING THROUGH COUNSELING

    The purpose of writing this article is to describe the subject of study and reason as well as research-based counseling service management. Counseling services based on research carried out to improve the quality of learning through counseling. The discussion of this article are (1) the background of the counseling service based research, (2) understanding the tasks and activities of counseling teacher or counselor, (3) reason for the existence of counseling in education, (4) the differences and similarities counseling services with research PTK-BK, (5) the motivations and goals of research-based counseling services, and (6) management of research-based counseling services. Among the benefits of this article is to (1) raise awareness counseling teacher or counselor about the importance of developing a counseling service that is integrated with the research, (2) develop a research culture for counseling teacher/ counselor, (3) encourage educational institutions both school/ madrasah/ pesantren for developing research-based counseling services, (4) encourage universities that provide education academic and professional counseling to develop research activities and community service through mentoring research-based counseling services. Keywords: counseling services, research, quality of learning, PTK-BK

    EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND ANXIETY TOWARD NATIONAL FINAL EXAMINATION IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL’S STUDENTS

    National Final Examination is one of the tests that must be passed by each student in Indonesia who want to continue to pursue higher education. The test could cause anxiety on students due to graduation standards. One of the things that influence anxiety toward this test is individual characteristic especially the ability to regulate emotions which are very closely related to emotional intelligence. The sample of this study was 350 students in grade 3 junior high school that will facing National Final Examination from three schools in Banda Aceh. Data collected by The Emotional Intelligence Scale and The Anxiety Toward National Final Examination Scale. The results showed a correlation coefficient r = – 0.376, p = 0.000 ( P <0.05 ). This result implied that there is a negative correlation between emotional intelligence with anxiety toward National Final Examination in grade 3 junior high school’s students in Banda Aceh.Keywords: Emotional Intelligence, Anxiety, National Final Examination
