Therapy to improve sleep quality in ICU patients
No full textPatients in intensive care units (ICU) are at risk of sleep disorders. Patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a history of cardiovascular disease, for example Coronary Heart Disease if have poor sleep quality can affect the healing process. This study aims to identify and analyze the positive effects of using Eyemask, Earplug and Dhikr Therapy on sleep quality in ICU patients. The research methods used are literature reviews on national and international articles published in the last 5-10 years. The use of Eye Mask and Ear Plug therapy and Dhikr Therapy can be applied as a supportive therapy for patients with sleep disorders in intensive care unit(ICU)

Get PDFThere are many aspects of reproductive health that must be assessed, one of which is the use of contraceptive methods. The most widely used contraceptive method in Indonesia is injection contraception. Injectable contraception has many advantages but also detrimental effects which are affect to women’s health. Weight gain is the most reported side effect by acceptors.This study aims to analyze the differences in maternal weight changes in users of injection contraception for one month and three months.This type of research is quantitative by using descriptive comparative methods with time series research designs. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Respondents were 60 mothers who were divided into two groups, 30 mothers using one-month injection contraception and 30 mothers using three months of injection contraception. Respondents in the two groups were measured every month for six months. Instruments for recording body weight are observational sheets and CAMRY digital scales. The statistical analysis used was paired t-test and independent t-test.The results of paired t-test, at bodyweight before and after six months, showed that acceptors of one-month injection contraception were -4.038 with a p-value of 0,000 (

One of culture in Indonesia that have something to believe about food is Javanese culture. This research aims to analyze food belief who related to Java culture about recommendation and taboo to some food. The method of this research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Respondent of five people selected by the consideration that the respondent has a lot of information for a later interview by using the recorder. The result shown that there have restriction and suggestion to certain food. Food that is prohibited is goat meat, salty food, pineapple, durian, spicy food, herb, watermelon, sweet food, and ice. That kind of food belief can danger for pregnant mother and embryo. Whereas the recommended foods are fish without scales and drink plenty of water. First Time Experience of Being a Father in Adapting to Postpartum Period in Indonesia Setting
Get PDFThe post partum period is an extraordinary transition for a father in his first experience. Research results have shown that fathers have a very large role in the health and welfare of mothers and children. However, often the father has difficulty in adapting and carrying out his role due to lack of knowledge, skills and support. The lack of research exploring the experience, needs and behavior of fathers in adapting to postpartum causes a lack of references. The objective of is to explore fathers’ experience in adapting to postpartum period in Indonesia. The research design is qualitative research by descriptive phenomenology study.Technique sampling is by purposive sampling. The number of participants is 10 fathers who get their first child . Data were collected through in-depth interviews. Data were analysed by qualitative analysis with Colaizzi method. The result is the first psychological experience of being a father in adapting to postpartum includes positive and negative feelings. Positive feelings include happiness and gratitude. Negative feelings include confusion, difficulty adapting to new roles, feeling worried, changing patterns of relationships with wives, feelings of neglect, expected and required to be able to understand wives and provide support, lack of information from health workers relating to postpartum care.
Conclusion: Father's first experience of adapting to postpartum is more perceived negative feelings. Recommendation : Health professionals are required to be able to understand the psychological condition of the father and then be able to provide the necessary support so that the father can adapt well and have a positive influence on the mother and baby

No full textBackground: Surgery is medication of invasive technique causing physical trauma and risk of death. This high risk can cause a psychological effect namely anxiety in the form of recovery process duration after a surgery.A patient that will go through a surgery feels anxious and needs an intervention of information fulfillment. Objective of the Study: This study aimed to find out the relationship between information fulfillment of pre-surgery patients and their level of anxiety at Muhammadyah Hospital of Palembang in 2017. Method: This study was quantitative using an analytical descriptive design with cross- sectional approach. The sampling technique was accidental sampling with the number of samples of 35 respondents. The data were collected using questionnaire with 12 items of information fulfillment statements and 20 items of statements of anxiety level. This study used bivariate analysis with chi square test. Results: The patients having poor information fulfillment were 22 respondents (62.9%), while those feeling anxious were 23 respondents (65.7%). The results of the statistical test showed that there was a relationship between information fulfillment and level of anxiety (p value = 0.024). Conclusion and Suggestion: Information fulfillment is very important to be carried out to decrease the anxiety of pre-surgery patients. It is expected that health workers particularly nursesapply their knowledge and formulate how to decrease the anxiety of the patients facing a surgery and information standard of pre-surgery condition that can be provided by the nurses in the form of pre-surgery nursing care

Get PDFHigh blood sugar levels will cause the occurrence of hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia occurs because to an impaired insulin secretion or insulin work breakdown. People who hyperglycemia can experience interference in the form of phychological depression and decreased physical activity. People who are depressed and less activity can cause an increase in blood sugar levels. This research is a descriptive study using correlative approach cross sectional aims to do know the relationship between the blood sugar levels with the levels of depression and physical activity in people with Diabetes Mellitus in Sukoharjo Gatak Clinics. Sampling technique using a purpose sampling, while the research instrument using the BDI-II questionnaire of 21 items and IPAQ questionnaire. The result of the calculation of the correlation test product moment relationship with depression level blood sugar levels obtained result and significant value 0.473(p-value) of 0.00. Procut moment correlation test result of the relationship of physical activity with blood sugar levels obtained result –0.460 with a value of 0.00 significance. Then there can be summed up the relationship between the blood sugar levels with the levels of depression and physical activity in people with Diabetes Mellitus in Sukoharjo Gatak Clinics. Where the higher levels of depression, increases blood sugar levels, while the higher physical activity then the lower blood sugar levels

Nutrition is the most appropriate given to babies is breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding for infants 0-6 months has been recommended by the WHO (World Health Organization), UNICEF (United Nation Childrens Fund), and Depkes RI (Departemen Kesehatan Republik Indonesia). But unfortunately the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia still does not meet the desired target, amounting to 54.3% with a target desired by 75%. The level of knowledge and maternal employment status is a factor affecting exclusive breastfeeding for the mother is still a lack of understanding about the practice of exclusive breastfeeding and busy mother because of her job. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between level of knowledge and employment status with exclusive breastfeeding. This study used a quantitative research with research methods correlational. The study design used is cross sectional. Samples are mothers with babies aged 6 months. The sampling technique used the total population and obtained a number of 31 respondents. The results showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge with exclusive breastfeeding, the value of p = 0.022. There is a relationship between employment status with exclusive breastfeeding, the value of p = 0.023

No full textThe family is the smallest unit in society consisting of father, mother and child. In a family, there are five functions to be performed, such as affective function and coping, socialization function, reproductive function, the function of the economy, and health care function. There are several factors that can affect the function of the family, including employment, education, and economics. An agitated state of the mother and occurs after delivery characterized by feelings of sadness, crying, fear of taking care of the baby is called postpartum blues. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between family function with postpartum blues in the sub-district Puskesmas Tladan Kawedanan Magetan. The study design used is cross sectional analytic study, which means that the data collection is done in the period. The population in this study are pregnant women primigravida birth day forecast in April. These samples included 30 maternal postpartum with simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used to measure the Family APGAR questionnaire family function and EPDS questionnaire to measure postpartum blues. The measurement results were tested using the chi-square and p values obtained 0,024. P value less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a correlation between family function with postpartum blues in the sub-district Puskesmas Tladan Kawedanan Magetan
Efektifitas Pemberian Tablet Fe dan Buah Pisang Ambon Dalam Meningkatkan Kadar Hemoglobin
Get PDF: An effort to overcome anemia can be done by administering iron tablets containing 30-60 mg of iron and 400 mg of folic acid. Ambon bananas contain iron, vitamin B6, and vitamin C which can provide antioxidant benefits in enhancing the immune system and help maximize iron absorption. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Fe tablets and ambon bananas with Fe tablets in increasing hemoglobin levels. This type of research is a quasi quasi-pretest-posttest two group design experiment. The number of samples is 30 respondents. The distribution of the sample is 15 respondents given Fe tablets and ambon bananas and 15 respondents only given Fe tablets. The results of this study Paired Sample T-Test, the significance value or p-value of Fe tablets and ambon bananas amounted to 0,000, with an average Hb pre-test 10,540 g / dl and post-test 13,840 g / dl or an increase of 3.3 g / dl and the significance value or p-value of Fe tablets of 0,000, with an average Hb pre-test 11,060 g / dl and post-test 12,267 g / dl or an increase of 1.2 g / dl. The conclusion of this study showed that there was a significant difference in the increase in hemoglobin levels between the Fe tablet and ambon banana groups and the Fe tablet group

Handling of the high prevalence of TB should be taken to control the disease Pulmonary TB , one of which is the treatment. In addition to treatment to achieve a cure is very important for patients with pulmonary TB have the knowledge about the disease and have a high self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and self-efficacy pulmonary tuberculosis patients. This research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The method used non-probability sampling. This research is pulmonary tuberculosis patients who underwent outpatient at Polyclinic BBKPM TB. The samples were 72 respondents with an accidental sampling technique. The instrument was a questionnaire of knowledge and self-efficacy has been tested on 20 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Non-parametric data analysis using the Spearman rho correlation coefficient test with the results showed that most of the patients are in the category of enough knowledge and most have high self-efficacy with p = 0.001 < α = 0.05 and Spearman correlation value for 0381. The conclusion that the existence of a positive and significant relationship between knowledge and self-efficacy pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Surakarta BBKPM
