Get PDFThe Comisión de Energía y Gas (CREG) published in 2016 the guidelines to calculate the reliability charge for solar plants. The methodology indicates that in order to calculate the base load power for the reliability charge, it is required ten years of information with solar radiation and ambient temperature. In Colombia there is not such information, thus it is required to use strategies to estimate the required information from available data. In this paper Artificial Neutral Networks are used to estimate solar radiation considering ambient temperature, relative humidity and month of the year.La Comisión de Energía y Gas (CREG) estableció a finales del 2016 una metodología para el cálculo del Cargo por Confiabilidad de plantas solares fotovoltaicas. En esta se establece que se requieren series históricas de más de diez años de irradiación solar y temperatura ambiente en el sitio de instalación de la planta para el cálculo de dicho cargo, sin embargo, en Colombia no se cuenta con datos históricos con dicha información, por lo que se requiere de estrategias que permitan la estimación de dichas series a partir de otras variables de entrada. El presente artículo emplea Redes Neuronales Artificiales para estimar datos de radicación solar requeridos utilizando como datos de entrada la humedad relativa, temperatura ambiente y mes del año
Linked Data: what happens to heterogeneity and interoperability
Get PDFLinked Data – LD, allows the construction of the Web of Data, which use basic principles that contribute to the growth of the Web. The process developed by LD faces different scenarios that seem to limit the linking process. This paper exposes the problems of heterogeneity, interoperability and data quality, as factors that restrict the process of data linkage. For this, the methodological design performs a bibliographic exploration; the results examine and discuss the postures about the mentioned problems, and the possible incidence of these in the quality of the linked data. In conclusion, speaking about heterogeneity is intrinsic, since the information will always be heterogeneous. Data models may be different but if the data format is common, interoperability is possible. Evaluación del desempeño de un aliado estratégico para operación logística
Get PDFAs important as the selection of a supplier and in this particular case a strategic ally for the logistics operation of a company (3PL supplier), is to know if the performance of this ally is in line with what was expected in the selection process. Considering this importance, a methodology is proposed to evaluate the performance of a logistics service provider. The proposed methodology considers scientific and analytical elements to define a set of criteria which include not only the most important features of services container transport, but alsothose competences which may affect the development and sustainability of a strategic alliance. Those criteria are described and it has associated sub-criteria and indicators too, with their respective measurement frequency. Then, the criteria are weighted using the basic AHP methodology. In the next place, all those items are recorded in a format designed to make thefinal assessment ally, in order to proposed model.Tan importante como la selección de un proveedor y en este caso particular un aliado estratégico para la operación logística de una compañía (proveedor 3PL), es conocer si efectivamente el desempeño de este aliado está acorde con lo esperado en el proceso de selección. Considerando esta importancia, se propone una metodología para evaluar el desempeño de un proveedor de servicios logísticos. La metodología planteada considera elementos científicos y analíticos para la definición de un conjunto de criterios queincluyen no sólo las características más importantes del servicio de transporte de carga contenerizada, sino también aquellas competencias que pueden afectar el desarrollo y la sostenibilidad de una alianza estratégica. Estos criterios se describen y se les asocian subcriterios e indicadores, con su respectiva frecuencia de medición. Posteriormente, son ponderados utilizando la metodología básica del AHP; y luego todos estos elementos se consignan en un formato diseñado para realizar la valoración final del aliado, a la luz del modelo propuesto
Web Platform for Biological Collections: Case Herbarium University of the Quindío

In the case of biological collections, they are facilitating - through the digitalization of their specimens - processes of obtaining information, testing data, conservation of specimens, exchange among experts, dissemination to the community, research and modeling, which strengthen their traditional functions. Therefore, this article presents the case of the web platform for the University of Quindío Herbarium (HUQ), made up of the administrative, information and virtual museum systems, which was created using the Iconix agile development methodology and gamification aspects.Summary- The incorporation of ICT has transformed the different areas of society. Evaluación de biochar como alternativa de sustrato en cultivos de tomate
Get PDFLa transformación termoquímica de biomasa para generar potencia eléctrica produce como residuo sólido el biochar, material que de acuerdo a sus propiedades puede ser utilizado en diversas aplicaciones, entre ellas la mejora de los suelos de cultivo. En el presente trabajo se evalúan dos tipos específicos de biochar como potencial sustitutos de sustrato en cultivos de pequeña escala a cielo abierto. Tomando como referencia un cultivo de Solanum lycopersicum (tomate) se observó el efecto sobre el desarrollo de las plantas y la cosecha (cantidad, diámetro y peso de los frutos) al sustituir el sustrato comercial por biochar en proporciones de 0, 20, 50, 80 y 100%. Se observó que con sustituciones del 20% y el 50% de sustrato por biochar, las plantas tienen un desarrollo normal y la producción de tomate es comparable al obtenido en ausencia de biochar; sin embargo al sustituir el 80% o el 100% del sustrato por el biochar, el efecto en el crecimiento de las plantas es negativo, aparentemente por la ausencia de nutrientes. Estos resultados vistos desde un enfoque económico y ambiental son bastante satisfactorios, pues usar 20% o 50% de biochar pueden representar ahorros significativos para el agricultor (menor uso de sustratos) a la vez que dan utilidad a desechos agroindustriales (biochar

Mechanical characterization of polyester / guadua fiber and polyester / guadua-glass fiber
Get PDFThis work shows the experimental results obtained from the mechanical characterization of polymer matrix composite materials reinforced with guadua fiber and / or glass fiber. The polymeric matrix used was unsaturated polyester resin. The guadua or bamboo fibers were obtained from the guadua angustifolia Kunt species by a mechanical defibering process and later they were subjected to a chemical treatment in sodium hydroxide. The composite material with a constant fiber volume fraction was produced by manual method in the form of a sheet from which standardized specimens were obtained, which in turn were subjected to tensile, bending and Charpy impact tests. The results of the mechanical tests show that in the composite material resulting from mixing guadua fiber with glass fiber in equal proportions, there is an increase in stiffness, tensile strength, impact resistance with respect to composite material with only guadua fiber, but in turn, there is a decrease in ductility and flexural strength.This work shows the experimental results obtained from the mechanical characterization of polymer matrix composite materials reinforced with guadua fiber and / or glass fiber. Prevalencia de Sintomatología Depresiva en estudiantes del programa de Medicina de la Universidad de Caldas, Manizales - Colombia
No full textRESUMENLa formación en el pregrado de medicina se asocia a diversas tensiones que pueden llevar a depresión en los estudiantes. Esto tiene implicaciones importantes que se extienden más allá de la educación médica, impactando de manera negativa en el desempeño académico y profesional.Objetivos: Determinar la prevalencia de sintomatología depresiva en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de Caldas, en la ciudad de Manizales mediante la aplicación del inventario de Beck I y valorar algunos factores sociodemográficos asociados a la presencia de sintomatología depresiva.Materiales y métodos: Este es un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, la muestra fue de 132 estudiantes del programa de Medicina inscritos en el periodo 2013-2, seleccionados al azar a los cuales se les aplicó la escala Beck para depresión se clasificó según severidad la prevalencia de sintomatología depresiva, igualmente se obtuvieron datos sociodemográficos, se realizó un análisis de asociación entre los factores como: estrato, sexo, edad, actividad laboral, vivir lejos de casa entre otros.Resultados: Del total de la muestra se encontró que 77 (58,3%) eran mujeres y 55 (41,7%) hombres, de los cuales 11 (20%). La prevalencia de depresión fue del 22,7%. Se encontró que el semestre académico y el hecho de vivir con la familia son factores relacionados con la prevalencia de sintomatología depresiva.Conclusión: La sintomatología depresiva en estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad de Caldas es prevalente y se asocia a muchos factores de la vida cotidiana para los estudiantes, este estudio podría ser el punto de partida para la implementación de programas de atención en salud mental para la población médica estudiantil y así lograr un impacto positivo en los estudiantes que se asocian a situaciones de depresión

Get PDF El climaterio (peri menopausia o transición menopáusica) es el periodo previo, concomitante y posterior a la menopausia, en el que se establecen cambios biológicos (debido a la disminución de la fertilidad), clínicos (resultantes de los cambios en el ciclo menstrual) y endocrinos (hipoestrogenismo por la disminución de la actividad ovárica) en la mujer; se caracteriza por la transición de la vida reproductiva a la no reproductiva.La disminución de los estrógenos lleva a merma de la frecuencia coital, y la disminución de los andrógenos a la pérdida del deseo sexual; aunque la función sexual es el resultado de la interacción de múltiples factores: anatómicos, biológicos, fisiológicos, sociales, éticos, religiosos o espirituales y psicológicos, sin depender única y exclusivamente de lo hormonal.Siendo que en el climaterio se dan una serie de cambios que podrían generar crisis, que despiertan temor y que cuestionan la autoimagen; es relevante verla o afrontarla de una manera diferente, es mejor vivirla como una alerta para cuidarse y una oportunidad para mimarse, crecer y ser mujer climatérica. La sexualidad debe seguir teniendo su espacio, por ello es necesario recuperar el beso, las caricias, los mimos y evitar las críticas; es importante aprender a envejecer con dignidad, porque al hacernos viejos no dejamos de ser personas, y no mucho menos asexuados.El climaterio es una transición hacia otra vida, no hacia la muerte; por lo tanto, se ama y se desea como a cualquier edad; se excita con pasión, emoción y hasta con razón.Es obligación de la mujer disfrutar su sexualidad así tenga los 969 años de Matusalén; ya que la capacidad y el derecho al goce no se relacionan con los años de vida; además de que estimula la salud y la recreación del vínculo afectivo con su pareja.
