Testes Térmicos Não Destrutivos Infravermelhos no Mundo e na América Latina: Uma revisão
No full textThis paper summarizes a review of the main works related to nondestructive testing using infrared thermography, including contributions made by Latin American researchers. A growing trend of academic production in this field was found in recent years, which confirms that it is an area of interest and continuous development. The result of the review was classified into four thematic lines covering mainly: i) works that compile the state of the art, ii) developments in thermal information processing techniques, iii) performance indicators, and iv) simulation, thermal models, and fields of application. In addition, the traditional and emerging countries that are making contributions in the nondestructive testing sector using infrared thermography were reported. Finally, it was identified how the current focus of thermal information processing is oriented to the processing of image sequences, where the number of techniques is increasing and a reduced number of metrics for the objective evaluation of their performance was evidenced.En este artículo se sintetiza una revisión de los principales trabajos relacionados con ensayo no destructivo usando termografía infrarroja incluyendo aportes realizados por investigadores de América Latina. Se encontró en este campo una tendencia creciente de la producción académica en los últimos años, lo cual ratifica que es un área de interés y desarrollo continuo. El resultado de la revisión se clasificó en cuatro líneas temáticas cubriendo principalmente: i) trabajos que recopilan el estado del arte, ii) desarrollos en técnicas de procesamiento de información térmica, iii) indicadores de desempeño y iv) simulación, modelos térmicos y campos de aplicación. Adicionalmente, se registraron los países tradicionales y emergentes que están generando contribuciones en el sector del ensayo no destructivo usando termografía infrarroja. Finalmente, se identificó cómo el enfoque actual del procesamiento de información térmica está orientado al procesamiento de secuencias de imágenes, donde el número de técnicas es cada vez mayor y se evidenció una reducida cantidad de métricas para la evaluación objetiva de su rendimientoEste documento resume uma revisão dos principais trabalhos relacionados com os ensaios não destrutivos utilizando termografia infravermelha, incluindo contribuições feitas por investigadores latino-americanos. Uma tendência crescente da produção académica neste campo foi encontrada nos últimos anos, o que confirma que se trata de uma área de interesse e desenvolvimento contínuo. O resultado da revisão foi classificado em quatro linhas temáticas que cobrem principalmente: i) trabalhos que compilam o estado da arte, ii) desenvolvimentos em técnicas de processamento de informação térmica, iii) indicadores de desempenho, e iv) simulação, modelos térmicos, e campos de aplicação. Algoritmo basado en Python-Pyomo para el proceso de adjudicación de subastas de renovables en Colombia
Get PDFThis document outlines the mathematical formulation of the second renewable energy auction in Colombia, which was used to allocate long-term energy contracts through a double-sided auction. The auction was defined by Resolutions 4-0590 and 4-0591 of 2019 from the UPME. The paper presents a mixed integer linear programming model that solves an optimization problem to find the combination of offers that maximizes consumer benefit while meeting operational and economic constraints set by regulatory mechanisms. The efficacy of the algorithm, developed in Python, was tested by validating it with real data and obtaining results consistent with those published by UPME.Este documento expone la formulación matemática de la segunda subasta de energía renovable en Colombia, la cual se utilizó para asignar contratos de energía de largo plazo a través de una subasta de doble cara. La subasta fue definida por las Resoluciones 4-0590 y 4-0591 de 2019 de la UPME. El trabajo presenta un modelo de programación lineal entera mixta que resuelve un problema de optimización para encontrar la combinación de ofertas que maximiza el beneficio del consumidor mientras cumple con las restricciones operativas y económicas establecidas por los mecanismos regulatorios. La eficacia del algoritmo, desarrollado en Python, se comprobó validándolo con datos reales y obteniendo resultados consistentes con los publicados por la UPME
Sistema de monitorización y detección de incendios forestales basado en redes de sensores inalámbricos
Get PDFGlobal climate change is affecting Earth in various ways, including glacial detachment, sea-level rise, and more intense heat waves, which in turn contribute to fires in areas rich in flora and fauna, causing erosion and changes in plant and animal ranges. Despite international efforts to mitigate climate change, the problem remains uncontrolled in many areas. In this study, a forest fire monitoring and early warning system is proposed. It is based on a wireless sensor network (WSN) that measures the environment to detect and prevent fires in rural areas. The WSN uses open-access technologies and the Zigbee standard for radiofrequency communication and sends collected data to a web server via GPRS and TCP/IP protocol. The WSN's performance is evaluated using two metrics: data transmission rate and time delay. The WSN achieved an average success rate of data transmission greater than 86% with an average time delay of less than 500 milliseconds in all tests, demonstrating the potential of WSNs as near real-time forest fire detection systems.El cambio climático global está afectando a la Tierra de diversas maneras, como el desprendimiento de glaciares, la subida del nivel del mar y olas de calor más intensas, que a su vez contribuyen a los incendios en zonas ricas en flora y fauna, provocando erosión y cambios en las áreas de distribución de plantas y animales. A pesar de los esfuerzos internacionales por mitigar el cambio climático, el problema sigue sin controlarse en muchas zonas. En este estudio se propone un sistema de vigilancia y alerta temprana de incendios forestales. Se basa en una red de sensores inalámbricos (WSN) que mide el entorno para detectar y prevenir incendios en zonas rurales. La WSN utiliza tecnologías de acceso abierto y el estándar Zigbee para la comunicación por radiofrecuencia y envía los datos recogidos a un servidor web mediante GPRS y protocolo TCP/IP. El rendimiento de la WSN se evalúa utilizando dos métricas: la tasa de transmisión de datos y el retardo temporal. La WSN logró una tasa media de éxito en la transmisión de datos superior al 86% con un retardo medio inferior a 500 milisegundos en todas las pruebas, lo que demuestra el potencial de las WSN como sistemas de detección de incendios forestales casi en tiempo real
Dimensionamiento óptimo y validación de la operación de una microrred conectada utilizando HOMER Pro y DIgSILENT
Get PDFMicrogrids adoption around all world is increasing with different aims as to integrate renewable generation, providing energy to rural zones, reducing CO2 emissions, or simply as an alternative for energy independence. However, the planning and operation of microgrids can be a challenging task because it involves many economical, technical, environmental aspects. This work presents a methodology for planning and validating a grid-connected microgrid using two well-known software that facilitates the design. The planning process is performed in HOMER Pro to size and select appropriate generation sources, while the possible implementation on a real distribution network is validated in DigSILENT. Numerical results show the optimal sizing process of a grid-connected microgrid for a university campus based on real data and the technical validation based on Colombian regulatory aspects.La adopción de microrredes está creciendo en todo el mundo con diferentes propósitos, entre ellos integrar la generación renovable, proporcionar energía a las zonas rurales, reducir las emisiones de CO2 o simplemente como una alternativa para la independencia energética. Sin embargo, la planificación y operación de microrredes puede ser una tarea desafiante porque involucra muchos aspectos económicos, técnicos y ambientales. Este trabajo presenta una metodología para la planificación y validación de una microrred conectada a la red utilizando dos herramientas software muy conocidas en el ámbito de la ingeniería eléctrica. El proceso de planificación a la medida se realiza en HOMER Pro y selecciona las fuentes de generación adecuadas, mientras que la posible implementación en una red de distribución real se valida en DigSILENT. Los resultados numéricos muestran el proceso de dimensionamiento óptimo de una microrred conectada a la red con base en datos reales para un campus universitario. Además, se presenta resultados de la validación técnica de la operación considerando aspectos regulatorios de Colombia

Get PDFThe research is motivated from the framework between education and technology, which directly involves the actors of the process as transforming subjects and transformed by the school and the ways of being, feeling, thinking, and acting in the world, that is, their subjectivity. The conceptual delimitation is done through authors such as Harris (2017), Muñoz (2015) and Weiss (2012), who concludes in the divergence of subjectivity, technological mediation, and mathematical education explicitly in the field of education research, so it becomes a great opportunity to make visible the context within comparative education within an ethnographic-type methodological approach supported by Delphi method. The categorical system as well as each of the items of the instruments were evaluated by ten experts using the Likert scale, whose analysis was performed using the Kendall coefficient and Cronbach's alpha.
As main findings, the categorical system was consolidated and the data collection instruments were validated that attend to techniques such as the characterization questionnaire, direct observation, and documentary review of performance evaluations.
Keywords: ICT, Mathematics, School, Subjectivity.La investigación está motivada desde el entramado entre educación y tecnología, que involucra directamente a los actores del proceso como sujetos transformadores y transformados por la escuela y los modos de ser, sentir, pensar y actuar en el mundo, es decir, su subjetividad. La delimitación conceptual se hace a través de autores como Harris (2017), Muñoz (2015) y Weiss (2012), que concluye en la divergencia de subjetividad, mediación tecnológica y educación matemática de manera explícita en el campo de investigación de la educación, por lo que se convierte en una gran oportunidad de visibilizar el contexto dentro de la educación comparada dentro de un enfoque metodológico de tipo etnográfico apoyado en el método Delphi. El sistema categorial como cada uno de los ítems de los instrumentos fueron evaluados por diez expertos usando la escala de Likert, cuyo análisis fue realizado mediante el coeficiente de Kendall y el alfa de Cronbach.
Como principales hallazgos se consolidó el sistema categorial y se validó los instrumentos de recolección de la información que atienden a técnicas como el cuestionario de caracterización, la observación directa y la revisión documental de las evaluaciones de desempeño

Get PDFWe are pleased to present to our readers and the general public the first issue of volume 17 of Miradas Magazine - 2022 of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira.In this edition we continue working on the positioning of the journal both locally, nationally and internationally. This issue of 2022 brings eight articles that show results of research, review and reflection around categories such as education, communication and culture through topics such as public policies in higher education, ICT, social innovation, rural education, image, literature, and philosophy. The reading begins with the first paper entitled "Analysis of the implementation of an Educational Public Policy using the Atlas Ti tool", which talks about the implementation of the Excellence Day as a response to the need to improve academic results and achieve the objective of the national policy "Colombia the best educated in 2025".The second article entitled "Subjectivation, ICT and Mathematics Education. Validation of experts" where the research is motivated from the interweaving between education and technology, directly involving the actors of the process as transforming subjects and transformed by the school and the ways of being, feeling, thinking and acting in the world, from subjectivity.Continuing with this reading exercise, the third article entitled "Route of social innovation in a group of students of the Business Administration program - UNIMINUTO in the municipality of Ibagué" The main objective was to implement the route of social innovation in the course analysis and organizational diagnosis of the Business Administration program (AEMD) of the Vice-Rectory of Tolima and Magdalena Medio (VTMM) Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios - UNIMINUTO in the municipality of Ibagué. Likewise, the fourth article entitled "Perspectives of rural and technical agricultural education in the post-conflict context: development or alternatives to development?", this documentary review allows reflecting on rural and technical agricultural education in Colombia in the post-conflict context, seeking to understand the tension between development and the possibility of thinking about alternatives.At this point there is a thematic turn, the fifth article entitled "The image that is created about the artist and the environment that surrounds him, a case study of the film "The Comedian" by Gabriel Nuncio and Rodrigo Guardiola" studies the ideas of art and the concept of artist, taking up authors such as Kant and Bourdieu, approaching the film "The Comedian" as a case study.In this order, the sixth article entitled "A kaleidoscopic look at the stories 'a repulsive happiness' and 'a protective mother'", this work recovers the Greek aphorism "Know thyself" as a narrative search that seems to have no end, from this precept society is a variant to determine the lack of: essence, liberty, empathy and other elements that are explored through literature. Similarly, the seventh article entitled "Letting learn": between philosophy and didactics of philosophy in high school" starts from a hermeneutic reflection on some issues around the teaching of philosophy in high school in Colombia, taking as an example the Hermeneutic school of Alberta, Canada, based on the development of an interpretation based on personal experiences, etymologies, metaphors and frequent connections with my personal life in order to deepen the understanding of the phenomenon addressed.To close, the eighth article entitled "Narrative inquiry in education", as a reflection text, aims to address what is and how to study narrative inquiry, what it is for, how teachers can use it in favor of their professorships and when it affects and motivates.

Nos complace presentar a nuestros lectores y público en general el primer número del volumen 17 de la Revista Miradas - 2022 de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira.
En esta edición continuamos trabajando en el posicionamiento de la revista tanto en el ámbito local, nacional e internacional.
Este número de 2022 trae ocho artículos que muestran resultados de investigación, revisión y reflexión alrededor de categorías como la educación, la comunicación y la cultura a través de temas como las políticas públicas en educación superior, las TIC, la innovación social, la educación rural, la imagen, la literatura, y la filosofía.
La lectura inicia con el primer trabajo titulado “Análisis de la implementación de una Política Pública Educativa utilizando la herramienta Atlas Ti”, allí se habla de la implementación del Día de la Excelencia como respuesta a la necesidad de mejorar los resultados académicos y alcanzar el objetivo de la política nacional “Colombia la mejor educada en el 2025”.
El segundo artículo titulado “Subjetivación, TIC y Educación matemática. Validación de expertos” donde la investigación es motivada a partir del entramado entre educación y tecnología, involucrando directamente a los actores del proceso como sujetos transformadores y transformados por la escuela y los modos de ser, sentir, pensar y actuar en el mundo, desde la subjetividad.
Continuando con este ejercicio de lectura, el tercer artículo titulado “Ruta de innovación social en un grupo de estudiantes del programa de Administración de Empresas - UNIMINUTO en el municipio de Ibagué” El objetivo central fue el implementar la ruta de innovación social en el curso análisis y diagnóstico organizacional del programa de Administración de Empresas (AEMD) de la Vicerrectoría del Tolima y Magdalena Medio (VTMM) Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios – UNIMINUTO en el municipio de Ibagué.
Así mismo, el cuarto artículo titulado “Perspectivas de educación rural y media técnica agropecuaria en el contexto del posconflicto: ¿desarrollo o alternativas al desarrollo?”, esta revisión documental permite reflexionar sobre la educación rural y media técnica agropecuaria en Colombia en el contexto del posconflicto, buscando comprender la tensión entre el desarrollo y la posibilidad de pensar las alternativas.
En este punto se da un giro temático, el quinto artículo titulado “La imagen que se crea sobre el artista y el medio que lo rodea, un estudio de caso de la película “el Comediante” de Gabriel Nuncio y Rodrigo Guardiola” estudia las ideas de arte y el concepto de artista retomando a autores como Kant y Bourdieu, abordando como caso de estudio la película “El comediante”.
En este orden, el sexto artículo titulado “Mirada caleidoscópica a los cuentos `una felicidad repulsiva´ y `una madre protectora´”, este trabajo recupera el aforismo griego “Conócete a ti mismo” como una búsqueda narrativa que parece no tener fin, desde este precepto la sociedad es una variante para determinar la falta de: esencia, libertar, empatía y demás elementos que por medio de la literatura son explorados.
De igual forma, el séptimo artículo titulado ““Dejar aprender”: entre filosofía y didáctica de la filosofía en bachillerato” parte de una reflexión hermenéutica sobre algunos asuntos en torno a la enseñanza de la filosofía en bachillerato en Colombia, tomando como ejemplo la escuela Hermenéutica de Alberta, Canadá, basándose en el desarrollo una interpretación basada en experiencias personales, etimologías, metáforas y frecuentes conexiones con mi vida personal con el fin de profundizar la comprensión del fenómeno abordado.
Para cerrar, el octavo artículo titulado “La investigación narrativa en la educación”, como texto de reflexión pretende abordar qué es y cómo estudiar la investigación narrativa, para qué sirve, cómo los profesores pueden utilizarla en pro de sus cátedras y cuándo esta afecta y motiva.

Perspectivas de educación rural y media técnica agropecuaria en el contexto del posconflicto: ¿desarrollo o alternativas al desarrollo?
Get PDFThe objective of this article is to present a documentary review that allows articulating the reflection on rural education and agricultural technical media in Colombia in the post-conflict context, stressing the relationship with development and the possibilityofthinkingaboutalternatives to development. This academic exercise responds to the interest of the authors to understand the school in its ethical- political role, in order to glimpse horizons for peace in the vast rural areas of the country. The findings make it possible to demonstrate the need to think about the relevance of rural education and agricultural technical secondary education, recognizing the school as a scenario of peace and the leading role of the teacher as an agent of social transformation. The investigation confirms the installation of the developmentalist discourse in the educational processes and in the ways of understanding the transition towards peace. This situation contrasts with the approach given by the Comprehensive Rural Reform of the Havana Agreements, which is committed to a new way of understanding the countryside and the progress of rural communities based on the educational processes organized there. The search for alternatives to development in relationtoeducationglimpseshorizons towards other possible worlds.El objetivo de este artículo es presentar una revisión documental que permita articular la reflexión sobre la educación rural y media técnica agropecuaria en Colombia en el contexto del posconflicto, tensionando la relación con el desarrollo y la posibilidad de pensar las alternativas al desarrollo. Este ejercicio académico responde al interés de los autores por comprender a la escuela en su rol ético- político, a fin de vislumbrar horizontes para la paz en las amplias ruralidades del país. Los hallazgos permiten evidenciar la necesidad de pensar la pertinencia de la educación rural y media técnica agropecuaria, reconociendo la escuela como escenario de paz y el rol protagónico del docente como agente detransformaciónsocial. La indagación constata la instalación del discurso desarrollista en los procesos educativos y en los modos de comprender el tránsito hacia la paz. Esta situación contrasta con el enfoque dado por la Reforma Rural Integral de los Acuerdos de La Habana que apuesta por un nuevo modo de entender el campo y el progreso de las comunidades rurales a partir de los procesos educativos allí agenciados. El rastreo de alternativas al desarrollo en relación con la educación vislumbra horizontes hacia otros mundos posibles
Monkeypox virus – Would it arrive in Latin America?
Get PDFMay 2022 mark the beginning of a new outbreak of some degree of concern, globally, as it is spreading relatively quickly in multiple countries, between persons even without travel-related history [1]. Monkeypox, a DNA virus member of the Orthopoxvirus genus (family Poxviridae) (Figure 1), is now the cause of clinical disease in almost 200 hundred suspected cases in more than a dozen of countries (Figure 2) outside Africa, where this zoonosis is endemic, especially in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in the Republic of the Congo and Nigeria.
As the number of cases increases daily, the question in Latin America is quite apparent. Would Monkeypox arrive in Latin America? Yes. When writing this Editorial, a suspected case is already investigated in Argentina. A traveller from Spain, with clinical findings compatible with Monkeypox infection. Then, as has occurred with the COVID-19 pandemic [2], we should expect to have more suspected Monkeypox cases in Argentina, as well as, in other countries, especially in those with a large volume of international flights between them and North America and Europe, as is the case of Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, among others in the region
Polypharmacy in patients with chronic-degenerative diseases in a remote community, Puebla- México.
Get PDFObjective: To determine if patients with chronic degenerative diseases between 50-90 years of age have polypharmacy and drug interactions, at the Huajoyuca Health Center of Palacios, between June 2018-June 2019.
Methodology: A descriptive, observational, non-experimental, statistical, retrospective, cross-sectional, unicentric research was carried out. The sample consisted of 56 files according to the inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed according to descriptive statistics and frequency histograms.
Results: The mean age is 67.11 ± 9.6 years. There was a higher prevalence of polypharmacy in the 60-69 age range. Due to excessive medication consumption, women make up 82 percent of those affected. Patients with chronic-degenerative disorders are the most likely to have polypharmacy, and those with comorbid conditions even more, it was observed that the consumption and frequency of medications per patient is 4.08 ± 1.56 medications. The top drugs consumed daily are metformin (17.41%), hydrochlorothiazide (12.05%), B vitamin, acetylsalicylic acid glibenclamide with (11.16%), losartan (8.03%), enalapril (6.69%), captopril (4.91 %). 38 patients with (68%) had minor polypharmacy, 17 patients with (30%) had major polypharmacy, and 1 patient with (2%), had excess polypharmacy.
Conclusion: In order from highest to lowest, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus have minor polypharmacy, unlike hypertensive and dyslipidemic patients. The gender most affected by polypharmacy is the female with 82% vs. 18% the male gender of the population studied
